Abstract
Description
Guidance control device, guidance control method, guidance control program, and guidance control system
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a guidance control device, a guidance control method, a guidance control program, and a guidance control system that provide guidance regarding the operation of a moving body.
[0002] Conventionally, various technologies are known for providing guidance to users at mobile stations or boarding / alighting areas. When providing guidance to users at mobile stations or boarding / alighting areas, it is particularly important to provide guidance to users about unexpected events, such as operational disruptions, or events that users should be prepared for in advance, such as the arrival of a mobile train, in a manner that allows users to quickly understand the details of the events (hereinafter simply referred to as "events"). For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a guidance control device that, when a train approaches a station platform, causes a floor block device located in an evacuation request area where passengers on the platform are requested to evacuate to flash, thereby visually prompting passengers in the evacuation request area to evacuate from the evacuation request area.
[0003] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2021-187377
[0004] Conventional technology such as that disclosed in Patent Document 1 has the problem that if a user is unaware of the floor block device, the user is not able to quickly grasp the occurrence of the event. Furthermore, since only information such as the flashing of the floor block device is provided, the content of the event is not provided in a manner that allows the user to understand. Patent Document 1 also discloses providing evacuation guidance by emitting a sound message. However, for example, hearing-impaired people cannot understand the audio guidance. Furthermore, even if hearing-impaired people recognize that an event has occurred by the flashing of the floor block device, they are unable to ask people around them about the content. Therefore, conventional technology still cannot solve the above-mentioned problems for users, including those with hearing impairments.
[0005] The present disclosure has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide a guidance control device that can provide users with guidance about events quickly and in a manner that allows the users to understand the content of the event.
[0006] The guidance control device disclosed herein is a guidance control device that controls the display of guidance information on a display unit and the lighting of lighting units that are provided in an information output device that has a display unit that displays information about a moving body and lighting units that can be turned on around the display unit, and is equipped with an operation information acquisition unit that acquires operation information about the operation of the moving body, a determination unit that determines whether or not an event to be notified has occurred based on the operation information acquired by the operation information acquisition unit, a presentation information generation unit that generates guidance information that provides information about the occurrence and content of the event to be notified about when the determination unit determines that an event to be notified about has occurred, a display control unit that displays the guidance information generated by the presentation information generation unit on the display unit, and a lighting control unit that turns on the lighting units when the display control unit displays the guidance information on the display unit.
[0007] According to the present disclosure, it is possible to provide a user with information about an event quickly and in a manner that allows the user to understand the details of the event.

[0009] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Embodiment 1. FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating an example configuration of a guidance control device 1 according to embodiment 1. The guidance control device 1 is mounted on, for example, a server (not shown). The guidance control device 1 is communicably connected to an information output device 3 via a network. The guidance control device 1 and the information output device 3 constitute a guidance control system 100. The guidance control device 1 is also communicably connected to an operation system 2 via a network. The operation system 2 manages the operation of mobile objects. The operation system 2 is owned, for example, by a mobile object management company or a railway company.
[0010] The guidance control device 1 acquires information on the operation of mobile objects (hereinafter referred to as "operation information") from the operation system 2, and determines whether a predetermined event has occurred based on the acquired operation information of the mobile objects. In the first embodiment, an "event" refers to an unexpected event or an event for which users should prepare in advance. A sudden event specifically refers to an operational disruption of a mobile object. An event for which users should prepare in advance is, in other words, an event in which a situation arises for which users must ensure their safety, specifically, an entry of a mobile object into a line. These predetermined events will be simply referred to hereinafter as an "event." Events are particularly required to be announced to users promptly and in a manner that allows users to understand the details. The guidance control device 1 determines whether an event has occurred based on the operation information, and if it determines that an event has occurred, it notifies users of the occurrence of the event and its details. Specifically, the guidance control device 1 generates information (hereinafter referred to as "guidance information") that provides guidance about the occurrence of an event and its details, and displays the generated guidance information on a display unit 31 (see FIG. 2 described later) provided in the information output device 3. In the first embodiment, an "event" is also referred to as a "event to be guided," since it becomes a target of guidance by the guidance control device 1 when it occurs.
[0011] The operation information acquired by the guidance control device 1 from the operation system 2 includes information on operation schedules, operation status, operation disruptions, etc. The operation schedule includes, for example, train or vehicle numbers, train or vehicle types, approach modes to boarding / alighting areas, scheduled arrival times at boarding / alighting areas, scheduled departure times from boarding / alighting areas, entering boarding / alighting areas, and the number of train formations. The operation status includes the presence or absence of delays, delay times, the current location of the mobile object, changes in operation status, and congestion status of the mobile object. The current location of the mobile object is indicated, for example, by the name of the boarding / alighting area (e.g., station name) where the mobile object is currently stopped or the name of the boarding / alighting section (e.g., station section name) through which the mobile object is currently traveling. Information on changes in operation status includes, for example, changes in the position of the mobile object when entering the station (e.g., from far to close to arriving). Operation disruptions include train or vehicle troubles (e.g., train or vehicle breakdowns or inspections), personal injury accidents, natural disasters, various accidents, and overhead line troubles. The information about the operation disruption includes not only the fact that the disruption has occurred but also information indicating the stage of the disruption over time (for example, occurrence, response, or recovery). The information about the operation disruption may also include information indicating the reason for the disruption, the response, or the prospect of future recovery.
[0012] Here, the information output device 3 in the first embodiment will be described. FIG. 2 is a diagram for explaining an outline of an example of the configuration of the information output device 3 according to the first embodiment. FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the information output device 3 as viewed from the front. As shown in FIG. 2, the information output device 3 includes a main body 33, a display 31 provided on the main body 33, and a lighting unit 32 provided on the main body 33. The display 31 is a video display device such as a liquid crystal display. The display 31 may be digital signage. In the first embodiment, the display 31 is assumed to be digital signage. The lighting unit 32 is an illumination device including an LED (Light Emitting Diode) or the like. The lighting unit 32 is provided around the display 31.
[0013] The guidance control device 1 displays the generated guidance information on the display unit 31. Furthermore, when the guidance control device 1 displays the guidance information on the display unit 31, it turns on the lighting unit 32. Here, the phrase "the guidance control device 1 displays the guidance information on the display unit 31" means that it instructs the display to display the information. Furthermore, the phrase "the guidance control device 1 turns on the lighting unit 32" means that it instructs the lighting unit 32 to light up. Therefore, "when the guidance control device 1 displays the guidance information on the display unit 31, it turns on the lighting unit 32" means that the guidance control device 1 instructs the display unit 31 to display the guidance information and instructs the lighting unit 32 to light up, and does not limit the order of actual display and actual lighting, and the order of actual display and actual lighting does not matter.
[0014] Although the main body 33 is shown as a housing in FIG. 2 , the shape of the main body 33 is not critical. It is sufficient that the information output device 3 includes a display unit 31 and a lighting unit 32. Although FIG. 2 illustrates the lighting unit 32 being provided above and below the display unit 31 when the information output device 3 is installed and viewed from the front, this is merely an example. For example, the lighting unit 32 may be provided only above or only below the display unit 31 when the information output device 3 is installed and viewed from the front, or may be provided on the right or left side of the display unit 31. The lighting unit 32 may be provided around the display unit 31. The surroundings of the display unit 31 refers to, for example, a location close enough to the display unit 31 that a user can recognize that the display on the display unit 31 and the illumination of the lighting unit 32 are associated with each other.
[0015] The guidance control device 1 controls the display of guidance information on the display unit 31 and the lighting of the lighting unit 32 in the information output device 3 based on operation information acquired from the operation system 2. In the first embodiment, the guidance information displayed on the display unit 31 is information that notifies users who are in a location where the guidance information is visible of the occurrence and details of an event to be notified. Details of the guidance control device 1 will be described later. Specific details of the guidance information will be described later using specific examples. While FIG. 1 illustrates the guidance control system 100 having one information output device 3, this is merely an example. In the guidance control system 100, multiple information output devices 3 can be installed in appropriate locations. The guidance control device 1 can also control the display of different guidance information on the display unit 31 or the lighting of different information on the lighting unit 32 for multiple information output devices 3.
[0016] In the following, in the first embodiment, as an example, the moving body is a train, and the information output device 3 is provided at a station platform where the train can arrive and depart. The station platform includes various facilities such as the platform, platform fences, platform doors, and the wall, roof, or ceiling along the tracks on the opposite side of the platform. Furthermore, the term "user" includes passengers who use the train and station staff. Furthermore, in the following first embodiment, as an example, the event to be notified is a train service disruption or a train entering the station.
[0017] The operation system 2 here is, for example, a so-called train control and management system (TCMS). The TCMS includes a traffic control server that manages train operations and a signal transmitter. The traffic control server stores information about train timetables, train schedules such as the scheduled arrival and departure times of each train at a station, and information about train operation status such as the train's location at a given time and whether or not there is a delay. The TCMS manages multiple trains in operation and centrally manages data related to monitoring and control of various devices, such as motors and brakes, installed in each car of the multiple trains from the driver's cab. The TCMS also collects and stores information about various malfunctions occurring during train operation, such as operational disruptions. The signal transmitter outputs the train operation information, centrally managed from the driver's cab, to the guidance control device 1.
[0018] A description will be given of an example configuration of a guidance control device 1 according to embodiment 1. As shown in Fig. 1 , the guidance control device 1 includes an operation information acquisition unit 11, a determination unit 12, a presentation information generation unit 13, a display control unit 14, and a lighting control unit 15.
[0019] The operation information acquisition unit 11 acquires operation information from the operation system 2. The operation information acquisition unit 11 outputs the acquired operation information to the determination unit 12.
[0020] The operation information acquisition unit 11 may output the acquired operation information not only to the determination unit 12 but also to a station management system (not shown), for example. The station management system manages information to be shared by station staff at each station. The information to be shared by station staff includes operation information. Based on the information it manages, the station management system outputs information to be notified to each station staff member (hereinafter referred to as "station staff notification information") to a personal computer (PC) installed in a station control room or the like or a mobile device carried by each station staff member. The station staff notification information includes, for example, information notifying the occurrence and details of an event requiring announcement, and information instructing the execution of an in-station announcement. The station management system may output the station staff notification information individually to multiple PCs installed in a station control room or the like or multiple mobile devices carried by each station staff member. The station management system may also acquire operation information directly from the operation system 2, rather than via the operation information acquisition unit 11.
[0021] The determination unit 12 determines whether or not an event requiring guidance has occurred based on the operation information acquired by the operation information acquisition unit 11. As described above, the operation information includes information regarding operation schedules, operation status, operation disruptions, etc. Based on the operation information, the determination unit 12 can determine whether an event requiring guidance has occurred, i.e., whether an operation disruption has occurred or a train is entering the station. When the determination unit 12 determines that an event requiring guidance has occurred, it outputs information indicating that an event requiring guidance has occurred (hereinafter referred to as "event occurrence information") together with the operation information to the presentation information generation unit 13. Note that the event occurrence information includes information indicating whether the occurring event requiring guidance is an operation disruption or a train entering the station.
[0022] When the determination unit 12 determines that an event to be notified has occurred, in other words, when the determination unit 12 outputs event occurrence information, the presentation information generation unit 13 generates guidance information that provides information about the occurrence and content of the event to be notified.
[0023] Here, a specific example of the guidance information generated by the presentation information generation unit 13 will be described. For example, assume that an operational disruption occurs as a guidance target event, and the details of the disruption are a personal injury accident. In this case, operation information indicating the occurrence of an operational disruption, more specifically, a personal injury accident, is transmitted from the operation system 2 to the guidance control device 1. The determination unit 12 determines that a train operational disruption has occurred and outputs event occurrence information and operation information to the presentation information generation unit 13. When the determination unit 12 outputs the event occurrence information, the presentation information generation unit 13 determines that an operational disruption, more specifically, a personal injury accident, has occurred. Note that the event occurrence information includes information indicating the details of the operational disruption, such as a personal injury accident. The presentation information generation unit 13 may determine that a personal injury accident has occurred from the event occurrence information, or may determine the occurrence of an operational disruption from the event occurrence information and determine the details of the disruption from the operation information output together with the event occurrence information.
[0024] When the presentation information generation unit 13 determines from the event occurrence information or operation information that an event to be notified has occurred and its content, i.e., in this case, that an operation disruption has occurred and that the content is a personal injury accident, it generates guidance information to inform the driver that a personal injury accident has occurred.
[0025] The guidance information is information that displays a message such as "A personal injury accident has occurred." The presentation information generation unit 13 may generate the guidance information according to, for example, preset rules (hereinafter referred to as "guidance information generation rules"). For example, the guidance information generation rules associate the occurring event to be notified and its content with a display form of the guidance information, such as a standard message or a display format, and rules for generating the guidance information. The guidance information generation rules are generated in advance by an administrator or the like and stored in a storage unit (not shown). The storage unit is provided in a location that can be referenced by the presentation information generation unit 13. Here, the guidance information generation rules associate a traffic disruption and a personal injury accident, which is the content of the traffic disruption, with a rule that the message "A personal injury accident has occurred" is displayed as guidance information. The presentation information generation unit 13 compares the event occurrence information or the operation information with the guidance information generation rules to generate guidance information that displays the message "A personal injury accident has occurred."
[0026] Furthermore, the presentation information generation unit 13 assigns to the generated guidance information, for example, a category (hereinafter referred to as a "display category") indicating the event to be notified about and its details regarding the guidance information. Specifically, as described above, if the guidance information is information that displays a message saying "Injury accident has occurred," the presentation information generation unit 13 assigns to the guidance information, for example, a display category "1 (operational disruption) 1 (injury accident occurring)" indicating the event to be notified about and its details regarding the guidance information. Note that this is merely an example, and the guidance information may be information that allows identification of the event to be notified about and its details regarding the guidance information.
[0027] As another specific example, assume that the event to be announced is the arrival of a train into track △. In this case, the operation system 2 transmits to the guidance control device 1 the train operation schedule, more specifically, operation information indicating, for example, that a train will enter, the platform where the train will enter, the train type, the entry mode, and the estimated arrival time. The determination unit 12 determines that a train will enter the station and outputs the event occurrence information and the operation information to the presentation information generation unit 13. When the event occurrence information is output from the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13 understands that a train will enter the station.
[0028] When the presentation information generation unit 13 determines the occurrence of an event to be notified and its details from the event occurrence information or operation information, i.e., in this case, the occurrence of a train entering the station and its details (a train entering track △), it generates guidance information to notify that a train is entering the station.
[0029] Here, it is assumed that the guidance information generation rules associate the entry of a train and the entry into platform △, which is the content of the entry, with a rule that the message "A train will soon arrive at platform △. Please stand behind the white line" should be displayed as guidance information. The presentation information generation unit 13 compares the event occurrence information or operation information with the guidance information generation rules, and generates guidance information that displays the message "A train will soon arrive at platform △. Please stand behind the white line." Note that the presentation information generation unit 13 sets the platform number where the train is entering to the "△" in "platform △."
[0030] The presentation information generating unit 13 also assigns a display category to the generated guidance information. Specifically, as described above, if the guidance information is information that displays a message such as "A train will soon arrive at platform △. Please stand behind the white line," the presentation information generating unit 13 assigns, for example, a display category "2 (arriving) △ (platform △)" to the guidance information, which indicates the event to be notified about in the guidance information and its content.
[0031] After generating the guidance information, the presentation information generation unit 13 outputs the generated guidance information to the display control unit 14 and the lighting control unit 15. The presentation information generation unit 13 outputs operation information together with the guidance information to the display control unit 14 and the lighting control unit 15.
[0032] The display control unit 14 displays the guidance information generated by the presentation information generation unit 13 on the display unit 31. The position on the display unit 31 at which the display control unit 14 displays the guidance information is predetermined based on the content of the guidance information. For example, information (hereinafter referred to as "display conditions") associating the display classification assigned to the guidance information with the position on the display unit 31 at which the guidance information is to be displayed is generated in advance and stored in a storage unit (not shown). The position on the display unit 31 at which the guidance information is to be displayed is represented, for example, by coordinates on the display unit 31. For example, the display conditions may further be associated with the display size of the guidance information. The display position and size of the guidance information on the display unit 31 may be set in advance and fixed, regardless of the content of the guidance information.
[0033] When the display control unit 14 causes the display unit 31 to display guidance information, the lighting control unit 15 turns on the lighting unit 32. The lighting control unit 15 may know that the display control unit 14 has caused the display unit 31 to display the guidance information, in other words, that the display control unit 14 has instructed the display unit 31 to display the guidance information, by, for example, acquiring the guidance information from the presentation information generation unit 13. Alternatively, for example, the display control unit 14 may output a signal to the lighting control unit 15 when it instructs the display unit 31 to display the guidance information, and the lighting control unit 15 may know that the display control unit 14 has instructed the display unit 31 to display the guidance information when the signal is output from the display control unit 14. Note that an arrow from the display control unit 14 to the lighting control unit 15 is omitted in FIG. 1 . The color in which the lighting control unit 15 causes the lighting unit 32 to light is, for example, predetermined.
[0034] FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating an example of the information output device 3 in the first embodiment, in which the display control unit 14 displays guidance information on the display unit 31, and when the display control unit 14 displays the guidance information on the display unit 31, the lighting control unit 15 lights up the lighting unit 32. In FIG. 3 , as an example, the guidance information is information that displays a message saying, "A personal injury accident has occurred." As shown in FIG. 3 , when the guidance information is output from the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14 displays the message, "A personal injury accident has occurred," on the display unit 31 of the information output device 3. The display unit 31 displays the message, "A personal injury accident has occurred," under the control of the display control unit 14. Furthermore, the lighting control unit 15 lights up the lighting unit 32. The lighting unit 32 lights up under the control of the lighting control unit 15.
[0035] By having the display control unit 14 display the guidance information on the display unit 31, the guidance control device 1 can notify the user of the occurrence and details of the notification target event. By looking at the display unit 31, the user can understand the occurrence and details of the notification target event. In the example using FIG. 3 described above, by looking at the display unit 31, the user can understand that a service disruption has occurred and that the disruption is due to a personal injury accident. Even if the display control unit 14 displays the occurrence of the notification target event in a format that makes its details clear, the user may not notice it. In response to this, the lighting control unit 15 turns on the lighting unit 32 when the display control unit 14 displays the guidance information on the display unit 31, allowing the guidance control device 1 to alert the user and guide their gaze to the display unit 31. This allows the guidance control device 1 to understand the occurrence and details of the notification target event. A notification target event is a sudden event that the user does not expect, or an event that creates a situation in which the user must ensure their safety. It is particularly important to provide the user with information about the event promptly and in a way that clearly explains its details. As described above, the guidance control device 1 can notify the user of the occurrence and content of the event to be notified by displaying and lighting up so that the user can grasp the occurrence and content of the event to be notified without missing it.
[0036] Furthermore, the display control unit 14 displays the guidance information on the display unit 31 in a format that not only indicates that some kind of notification-required event has occurred but also indicates the details of the event that is occurring (in the above example, a personal injury accident has occurred), thereby enabling users to quickly understand the details of the event that is occurring. For example, if a person without disabilities can understand that some kind of notification-required event has occurred, they may be able to ask people around them, such as station staff, about the details. However, for example, a visually impaired person cannot ask people around them about the details. By displaying the guidance information on the display unit 31 in a format that indicates the details of the event that is occurring, the guidance control device 1 allows users, including those with hearing impairments, to understand the occurrence and details of the event that is occurring.
[0037] In the above example, the operation disruption is a personal injury accident. However, the operation disruption may also include, for example, the response status to the operation disruption. For example, in the guidance control device 1, the presentation information generation unit 13 may generate, as guidance information, a message indicating the current stage of the response status to the operation disruption over time. The response status stage may be, for example, occurrence, response in progress, or recovery. Over time, the response status to the operation disruption changes in the order of occurrence, response in progress, and recovery. For example, if a personal injury accident occurs and the response status is "response in progress," the presentation information generation unit 13 generates guidance information that displays the words "personal injury accident occurring" and "currently responding" according to the guidance information generation rules. Note that the determination unit 12 can determine that a personal injury accident has occurred and that the response status is currently being responded to based on the operation information. The determination unit 12 may output event occurrence information indicating that the operation disruption is a personal injury accident and that the response status is currently being responded to to the presentation information generation unit 13. The presentation information generation unit 13 may also determine from the operation information that the operation disruption is a personal injury accident that is currently being handled. Then, the display control unit 14 displays the words "Currently handling the accident" below the words "Personal injury accident occurring" on the display unit 31 as shown in FIG. 3 according to the display conditions.
[0038] The operation of the guidance control device 1 according to the first embodiment will be described. FIG. 4 is a flowchart for describing the operation of the guidance control device 1 according to the first embodiment. For example, when the power to the guidance control device 1 is turned on or when an operation start instruction is received from a manager or the like, the guidance control device 1 starts the operation shown in the flowchart of FIG. 4. The guidance control device 1 repeats the operation shown in the flowchart of FIG. 4, for example, until the power to the guidance control device 1 is turned off or until an operation end instruction is received from a manager or the like. The manager or the like inputs the operation start instruction or operation end instruction from a PC installed in, for example, a station control room. The control unit (not shown) of the guidance control device 1 receives the operation start instruction and starts the operation of the operation information acquisition unit 11, the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, and the lighting control unit 15. Furthermore, the control unit receives an operation end instruction and ends the operation of the operation information acquisition unit 11, the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, and the lighting control unit 15.
[0039] The operation information acquisition unit 11 acquires operation information from the operation system 2 (step ST10). The operation information acquisition unit 11 outputs the acquired operation information to the determination unit 12.
[0040] The determination unit 12 determines whether or not a guidance-required event has occurred based on the operation information acquired by the operation information acquisition unit 11 in step ST10 (step ST20). If the determination unit 12 determines that a guidance-required event has occurred (in the case of "YES" in step ST20), the determination unit 12 outputs event occurrence information together with the operation information to the presentation information generation unit 13.
[0041] If the determination unit 12 determines that no guidance-required event has occurred ("NO" in step ST20), the operation of the guidance control device 1 returns to the processing of step ST10.
[0042] If the determination unit 12 determines in step ST20 that a notification target event has occurred (if "YES" in step ST20), in other words, if event occurrence information is output from the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13 generates guidance information that provides information about the occurrence and details of the notification target event (step ST30). After generating the guidance information, the presentation information generation unit 13 outputs the generated guidance information to the display control unit 14 and the lighting control unit 15.
[0043] The display control unit 14 causes the display unit 31 to display the guidance information generated by the presentation information generation unit 13 in step ST30 (step ST40).
[0044] When the display control unit 14 causes the display unit 31 to display the guidance information in step ST40, the lighting control unit 15 turns on the lighting unit 32 (step ST50).
[0045] In this way, the guidance control device 1 according to the first embodiment acquires operation information related to train operations and determines whether or not a notification-required event has occurred based on the acquired operation information. When it determines that a notification-required event has occurred, the guidance control device 1 generates guidance information that provides information about the occurrence and details of the notification-required event, displays the generated guidance information on the display unit 31, and lights up the lighting unit 32. This allows the guidance control device 1 to quickly provide the user with information about the notification-required event in a manner that allows the user to understand the details of the event.
[0046] <Variation (1)> In the above-described first embodiment, the lighting control unit 15 may determine the train operation status based on the operation information, and change the lighting cycle or lighting color of the lighting unit 32 according to the determined operation status.
[0047] For example, the lighting control unit 15 can change the lighting cycle of the lighting unit 32 in response to changes in the operation status. A specific example will be described below. For example, suppose a train entry occurs as a guidance target event, and the details of the entry are that the train is entering platform △. In this case, the operation system 2 transmits operation information to the guidance control device 1, including information indicating the train's operation schedule, more specifically, the train's entry, the platform the train will enter, the train type, the entry mode, and the estimated arrival time. The determination unit 12 determines that a train will enter platform △ and outputs event occurrence information and operation information to the presentation information generation unit 13. When the event occurrence information is output from the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13 determines the occurrence of the train entry and its details (the train will enter platform △) from the event occurrence information or the operation information, and generates guidance information that displays a message such as, "A train will soon arrive at platform △. Please stand behind the white line." When the display control unit 14 displays the guidance information on the display unit 31, the lighting control unit 15 lights up the lighting unit 32. At this time, the lighting control unit 15 changes the lighting cycle of the lighting unit 32, for example, depending on the train's arrival status, specifically, the distance between the train and the platform of the station where the train is arriving. For example, the lighting control unit 15 can determine the change in the train's position when it arrives, more specifically, whether the train is "far," "close," or "arrived," from the operation status information included in the operation information. For example, when the train is "far" from the platform, the lighting control unit 15 slows down the lighting cycle of the lighting unit 32; when the train is "close" from the platform, the lighting control unit 15 speeds up the lighting cycle of the lighting unit 32 more than when the train is "far" from the platform; and when the train arrives at the station, the lighting control unit 15 further speeds up the lighting cycle and flashes the lighting unit 32.
[0048] For example, the lighting control unit 15 may change the lighting color of the lighting unit 32 in response to changes in the operation status. In the specific example described above, the lighting control unit 15 may turn on the lighting unit 32 when the display control unit 14 causes the display unit 31 to display guidance information, and may change the lighting cycle of the lighting unit 32 in response to the train's arrival status, specifically, the distance between the train and the platform where the train is arriving. For example, the lighting control unit 15 may change the lighting color of the lighting unit 32 to white when the distance between the train and the platform where the train is arriving is "far," change the lighting color of the lighting unit 32 to yellow when the distance between the train and the platform where the train is arriving is "close," and change the lighting color of the lighting unit 32 to red when the train arrives at the station. Furthermore, for example, the lighting control unit 15 may change both the lighting cycle and the lighting color of the lighting unit 32 in response to changes in the operation status.
[0049] In this way, the lighting control unit 15 determines the operation status of the train based on the operation information, and changes the lighting cycle or lighting color of the lighting unit 32 according to the determined operation status, so that the guidance control device 1 can provide users with guidance about events to be notified about more visually, quickly, and in a manner that allows the users to understand the details of the events. By changing the lighting cycle or lighting color of the lighting unit 32, the guidance control device 1 can provide users with guidance about the operation status so that they can intuitively understand changes in the operation status.
[0050] <Modification (2)> In the above-described first embodiment, an example of guidance information has been described in which the guidance information displays a message such as "Injury accident has occurred." This is merely an example, and the guidance information may be information that provides guidance on the occurrence and details of an event to be notified using a diagram. That is, in the above-described first embodiment, the presentation information generation unit 13 may generate guidance information that provides guidance on the occurrence and details of an event to be notified using a diagram.
[0051] In this case, for example, the guidance information generation rules may associate the event to be notified and its details with information including information showing a diagram as information to be displayed. For example, a guidance information generation rule for when a personal injury accident has occurred may associate information indicating the occurring notification event "operational disruption" and its details "personal injury accident" with a rule that the guidance information should include a message saying "personal injury accident has occurred" and a route map highlighting the station where the personal injury accident has occurred. The presentation information generation unit 13 generates the message saying "personal injury accident has occurred" and a route map highlighting the station where the personal injury accident has occurred as guidance information in accordance with the guidance information generation rules. Note that the route map information is included in the operation information. For example, a station management system may have a route map, and the presentation information generation unit 13 may acquire the route map information from the station management system. Alternatively, for example, a memory may store the route map in advance, and the presentation information generation unit 13 may acquire the route map information from the memory.
[0052] The display control unit 14 causes the display unit 31 to display the guidance information. FIG. 5 is a diagram showing an example of the display unit 31 in which the display control unit 14 displays guidance information in the form of a message "Injury Accident Occurred" and a route map in which the station where the injury accident occurred is highlighted, according to the first embodiment. In FIG. 5, as an example, the route map shows the station where the injury accident occurred and three stations before and after the station where the injury accident occurred, lined up horizontally. The station where the injury accident occurred is highlighted by adding a speech bubble saying "Injury Accident Occurred." The display format of the route map and the highlighting method may be predetermined, or may be set in the rules for generating guidance information or the display conditions.
[0053] In this way, the presentation information generation unit 13 generates guidance information that uses diagrams to provide guidance about the occurrence and content of the event to be notified, so that the guidance control device 1 can provide guidance to the user more visually, quickly, and in a manner that allows the user to understand the content of the event. Note that in the above example, the presentation information generation unit 13 generates guidance information that uses messages and diagrams to provide guidance about the occurrence and content of the event to be notified, but this is merely an example, and the presentation information generation unit 13 may also generate guidance information that uses only diagrams to provide guidance about the occurrence and content of the event to be notified.
[0054] <Modification (3)> In the first embodiment, the guidance control device 1 may combine the above-described <Modification (1)> and <Modification (2)>. That is, in the first embodiment, the presentation information generation unit 13 may generate guidance information that notifies the user of the occurrence and details of a guidance-target event using a message or a diagram, and the display control unit 14 may display this guidance information on the display unit 31. The lighting control unit 15 may determine the train operation status based on the operation information and change the lighting cycle or lighting color of the lighting unit 32 according to the determined operation status. For example, when the display control unit 14 displays the guidance information on the display unit 31 as shown in FIG. 5 , the lighting control unit 15 may slow down the lighting cycle of the lighting unit 32 according to the distance between the train and the station platform if the distance between the train and the station platform is "far," and may speed up the lighting cycle of the lighting unit 32 if the distance between the train and the station platform is "close" compared to when the distance between the train and the station platform is "far." When the train arrives at the station, the lighting cycle may be further shortened to cause the lighting unit 32 to flash.
[0055] <Modification (4)> In the above-described first embodiment, the lighting control unit 15 may change the lighting color of the lighting unit 32 depending on the type of notification target event that is determined to have occurred by the determination unit 12. For example, the lighting control unit 15 may light the lighting unit 32 in red if the notification target event is an operational disruption, and may light the lighting unit 32 in white if the notification target event is an incoming train.
[0056] In this way, the lighting control unit 15 changes the lighting color of the lighting unit 32 depending on the type of event to be notified, so that the guidance control device 1 can provide guidance about the event to be notified so that the user can more intuitively understand the content of the event to be notified.
[0057] <Modification (5)> In the first embodiment, the guidance information is not limited to messages (text) or figures, and may be information that utilizes light or animation, for example. That is, in the first embodiment, the presentation information generator 13 may generate guidance information that provides guidance about the occurrence and details of an event to be guided by using light or animation.
[0058] For example, the generation and display of guidance information when the guidance information is an animation will be described below. In this case, the guidance information generation rules may associate, for example, the event to be notified and its content with a rule that animation should be used as guidance information. For example, the guidance information generation rules for when a personal injury accident has occurred may associate a service disruption and the personal injury accident, which is the content of the service disruption, with a message saying "personal injury accident has occurred," a route map highlighting the station where the personal injury accident occurred, and an animation showing the same content as the station announcement in speech bubble format as the guidance information. Note that "the same content as the station announcement" here means "substantially the same content as the station announcement," and does not refer to the actual content announced in the station, but rather to content that is essentially the same as the content that is expected to be announced in the station.
[0059] The presentation information generation unit 13 generates, as guidance information according to the guidance information generation rules, a message stating "Injury Accident Occurred," a route map highlighting the station where the injury accident occurred, and an animation showing the same content as the station announcement in speech bubble format. The presentation information generation unit 13 may identify the content that is presumed to be announced in the station by voice, for example, based on information acquired from a station management system. As described above, the station management system manages information that each station staff member should share with the station staff, and outputs notification information for station staff. The notification information for station staff includes the content to be announced in the station and instructions for each station staff member to execute the announcement. The presentation information generation unit 13 may, for example, acquire the notification information for station staff from the station management system and identify the content that is supposed to be announced in the station by voice. For example, assume that information to be announced that a injury accident has occurred is output from the station management system as notification information for station staff. In this case, the presentation information generation unit 13 infers that an announcement informing users of a personal injury accident has been made within the station. The presentation information generation unit 13 then generates, as guidance information, an animation in a speech bubble format showing the same content as the in-station announcement informing users of a personal injury accident. The type of animation showing the same content as the in-station announcement in a speech bubble format is predetermined. Note that within the station, a station employee may make an announcement such as, for example, "There is currently a personal injury accident at △□ Station. As a result, service on the XX Line is currently suspended. Alternative service is currently being provided on the △△ Line." The station employee may make the announcement based on instructions from the station management system, for example, according to a template. Here, it is assumed that the station employee actually speaks the announcement, but the station employee may also play a prepared audio message within the station.
[0060] When the presentation information generation unit 13 generates guidance information including a message saying "Injury accident has occurred," a route map highlighting the station where the injury accident has occurred, and an animation showing the same content as the on-site announcement in speech bubble format, the display control unit 14 displays the guidance information on the display unit 31.
[0061] Next, an example of generating and displaying guidance information when the guidance information is light will be described. In this case, the guidance information generation rules may associate, for example, a guidance target event and its details with a rule that light is used as guidance information. For example, the guidance information generation rules for when a personal injury accident has occurred may associate a service disruption and the personal injury accident, which is the details of the service disruption, with a message saying "personal injury accident has occurred," and a highlighted station where the personal injury accident has occurred and an illuminated route map as guidance information. In accordance with the guidance information generation rules, the presentation information generation unit 13 generates, as guidance information, a message saying "personal injury accident has occurred" and an illuminated route map where the station where the personal injury accident has occurred is highlighted. The display control unit 14 displays the guidance information on the display unit 31.
[0062] FIG. 6 illustrates an example of a display unit 31 in which the presentation information generator 13 generates guidance information using messages, illustrations, lights, and animations, and the display controller 14 displays the guidance information in the first embodiment. FIG. 6 illustrates an example of a display unit 31 displaying guidance information including a message "Injury Accident Occurred," a route map highlighting and illuminating the station where the accident occurred, and animation in the form of a speech bubble that displays the same content as an in-station announcement indicating the occurrence of a personal injury accident. In FIG. 6 , as an example, the route map shows the station where the personal injury accident occurred and three stations before and after the station horizontally. The station where the personal injury accident occurred is highlighted by a speech bubble that reads "Injury Accident Occurred." The station where the personal injury accident occurred, along with the stations before and after it, is illuminated by increasing the brightness around the display area of the station name or by using a bright color. An animation in the form of a speech bubble is also displayed, stating, "Currently, service on the XX line is suspended due to a personal injury accident." The animation is an animation that shows the same content as the on-site announcement that a personal injury accident has occurred in the form of a speech bubble. Note that in Figure 6, for convenience, "XX Line" is used, but the display control unit 14 displays "XX Line" as the line that passes through the station where the personal injury accident has occurred. The display format of the route map, the highlighting method, and the display format of the animation may be determined in advance, or may be set in the rules for generating guidance information or the display conditions.
[0063] In this way, the presentation information generation unit 13 generates guidance information that uses light or animation to notify the user of the occurrence and details of the event to be notified, so that the guidance control device 1 can provide the user with more visual guidance about the event to be notified about quickly and in a manner that allows the user to understand the details of the event. Furthermore, the guidance control device 1 can provide the user with more detailed guidance about the details of the event to be notified about. Furthermore, in the guidance control device 1, the presentation information generation unit 13 can generate, as guidance information, animation that shows the same content as the content of the event to be notified about that is presumed to be announced by voice and that the determination unit 12 has determined to have occurred. This allows the guidance control device 1 to provide the hearing-impaired person with guidance about the content that is presumed to be currently being announced by voice.
[0064] In addition to the above examples, the presentation information generation unit 13 can generate various types of guidance information that use light or animation to notify the user of the occurrence and details of the event to be notified. For example, the presentation information generation unit 13 may generate a route map as guidance information in which the name of a station where an operation disruption is occurring is displayed in bold, a different color, a different font size, or a different font style. As a result, the display control unit 14 displays on the display unit 31 a route map in which the name of the station where an operation disruption is occurring is displayed in bold, a different color than other station names, a different font size than other station names, or a different font style than other station names. For example, the presentation information generation unit 13 may also generate a route map as guidance information that displays an animation of the current location of a train. For example, the presentation information generation unit 13 may also generate an animation as guidance information that shows the number of cars, stop locations, congestion status, or train separation locations of the next train arriving at a station platform. Note that the operation information includes information indicating the congestion status of the train. For example, the presentation information generation unit 13 may generate guidance information that indicates the timing of train door closure using light, graphics, or animation. Note that information indicating the timing of train door closure is included in the operation information. For example, the presentation information generation unit 13 may generate, as guidance information, a time indicating an expected future recovery time from an operation disruption or light or animation indicating recovery from the operation disruption. For example, the presentation information generation unit 13 may generate, as guidance information, information that displays text indicating the stage of the response to the operation disruption (e.g., operation disruption occurrence → response in progress → expected recovery and alternative transportation → recovery) and highlights the current stage with light or animation. For example, the presentation information generation unit 13 may generate, as guidance information, an animation that shows a changing timetable (e.g., a timetable reflecting delay times or expected recovery) when recovery from an operation disruption is performed while responding to the operation disruption. For example, the presentation information generation unit 13 may generate, as guidance information, a station map in which equipment that is unavailable due to reasons such as inspection is animated on the station map.Furthermore, for example, the presentation information generation unit 13 may generate, as guidance information, a station map or a timetable that displays animated transfer information to secondary transportation (e.g., destination, platform number, departure time, etc.).
[0065] <Modification (6)> In the first embodiment described above, the guidance control device may visualize the content of a speech (e.g., an on-site announcement) related to a guidance target event, generate information for displaying the content of the speech (hereinafter referred to as "announcement presentation information") as guidance information, and display the information on the display unit 31. In this case, the guidance control device may have a configuration including a function of acquiring on-site speech, performing speech recognition, and visualizing the on-site announcement, in addition to the configuration of the guidance control device 1 shown in FIG. 1 . FIG. 7 is a diagram showing an example configuration of a guidance control device 1a according to the first embodiment, which has a configuration including a function of acquiring on-site speech, performing speech recognition, and visualizing the on-site announcement. In FIG. 7, components similar to those of the guidance control device 1 described using FIG. 1 are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant description will be omitted. The guidance control device 1a shown in FIG. 7 differs from the guidance control device 1 shown in FIG. 1 in that it includes a speech information acquisition unit 16 and a speech recognition unit 17. The guidance control device 1a and the information output device 3 constitute a guidance control system 100a.
[0066] The voice information acquisition unit 16 acquires voice information. In the first embodiment, the voice information acquired by the voice information acquisition unit 16 is, for example, the voice of a station employee making an announcement within the station premises. For example, the voice information acquisition unit 16 acquires the voice from a voice input device (not shown). For example, the station employee may make an announcement regarding the event to be notified to the voice input device, such as, "There has been a personal injury accident at △□ station. As a result, service on the XX line is currently suspended." The voice input device receives the voice uttered by the station employee, as in the above example. The voice information acquisition unit 16 acquires the voice of the station employee received by the voice input device. The voice input device is, for example, a microphone, and is installed at a train platform or within the station premises. For example, the voice information acquisition unit 16 may acquire the voice information when the determination unit 12 determines that an event to be notified has occurred. In this case, the determination unit 12 outputs event occurrence information to the voice information acquisition unit 16. Note that in FIG. 7 , the arrow from the determination unit 12 to the voice information acquisition unit 16 is omitted. Furthermore, for example, the voice information acquisition unit 16 may acquire voice information when it acquires notification information addressed to a station staff member who will make an announcement regarding a guidance target event from the station management system. In this case, the station management system outputs the notification information addressed to the station staff member to the voice information acquisition unit 16. This allows the voice information acquisition unit 16 to more reliably acquire the announced voice when a voice announcement regarding a guidance target event is being made, thereby preventing the acquisition of unnecessary voice. The voice information acquisition unit 16 outputs the acquired voice information to the voice recognition unit 17.
[0067] The voice recognition unit 17 recognizes the content of the speech based on the voice information acquired by the voice information acquisition unit 16. The voice recognition unit 17 may recognize the content of the speech using a known voice recognition technology. For example, the voice recognition unit 17 compares the voice information with a voice recognition dictionary database (not shown) to recognize the content of the speech. The voice recognition dictionary database is a database that stores a voice recognition dictionary for voice recognition and is provided in a location that the voice recognition unit 17 can refer to. For example, the voice recognition unit 17 may recognize the content of the speech using artificial intelligence technology. The voice recognition unit 17 may recognize the content of the speech based on the voice information, and the method for recognizing the content of the speech is not important. The voice recognition unit 17 outputs the content of the speech, more specifically, the recognition result of the announcement, to the presentation information generation unit 13.
[0068] When the determination unit 12 determines that an event to be announced has occurred, in other words, when event occurrence information is output from the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13 generates, as guidance information, information for displaying the content of the voice utterance regarding the event to be announced, i.e., the content of the announcement, recognized based on the voice information by the voice recognition unit 17. The presentation information generation unit 13 assigns a display category, such as "1 (operational disruption) 3 (announcement)" or "2 (entering line) 3 (announcement)," to the generated guidance information.
[0069] The display control unit 14 causes the display unit 31 to display the announcement presentation information generated by the presentation information generation unit 13 as guidance information. The position, size, and display format on the display unit 31 at which the display control unit 14 displays the announcement presentation information may be predetermined or may be set by a guide information generation rule or a display condition. For example, the display control unit 14 causes the announcement presentation information to be displayed as an animation in a speech bubble. For example, the display control unit 14 may cause the display unit 31 to display the announcement presentation information as an animation in a speech bubble in which the outer periphery of the speech bubble blinks.
[0070] FIG. 8 is a diagram illustrating an example of the display unit 31 on which the display control unit 14 displays announcement presentation information generated as guidance information in the first embodiment. While the example of the display unit 31 illustrated in FIG. 5 and other figures includes the information output device 3, the lighting unit 32, and the main body 33, FIG. 8 illustrates only the display unit 31 for convenience. FIG. 8 illustrates an example of guidance information displayed on the display unit 31 when a station attendant utters into the voice input device, "There has been a personal injury accident at △□ Station. As a result, service on the XX line is currently suspended." FIG. 8 also illustrates an example of the blinking of the outer periphery of a speech bubble displaying guidance information by arranging five speech bubbles displayed on the display unit 31 in chronological order. In FIG. 8, the second and fourth speech bubbles from the left are illuminated.
[0071] As described above, in the guidance control device 1a, the voice information acquisition unit 16 acquires the uttered voice as voice information, and the voice recognition unit 17 recognizes the content of the utterance based on the voice information acquired by the voice information acquisition unit 16. The presentation information generation unit 13 generates, as guidance information, announcement presentation information for displaying the content of the utterance recognized by the voice recognition unit 17. The display control unit 14 displays the announcement presentation information generated as guidance information by the presentation information generation unit 13 in a speech bubble format. The display control unit 14 may display the announcement presentation information generated as guidance information by the presentation information generation unit 13 in an animation in a speech bubble format, in which the outer periphery of the speech bubble blinks. In this way, the guidance control device 1a can provide guidance about an event to be announced so that the user can visually grasp the content of the currently announced voice and understand the content of the event to be announced. Furthermore, the guidance control device 1a can provide guidance information in a way that makes it clear that the guidance information is currently being announced, for example, by displaying it as a speech bubble animation or an animation in which the outer periphery of the speech bubble blinks. Furthermore, hearing-impaired people, in particular, cannot hear the audio being announced. The guidance control device 1a can visually guide hearing-impaired people about the audio content of the announcement regarding the event to be guided by visualizing the audio content of the announcement regarding the event to be guided and displaying the audio content on the display unit 31 as guidance information.
[0072] In the above description, the guidance control device 1a is described as displaying the contents of the utterances made by the station staff via the voice input device as guidance information on the display unit 31. That is, in the guidance control device 1a, the presentation information generation unit 13 generates, as guidance information, announcement presentation information for displaying the contents of the announcement recognized by the voice recognition unit 17 based on the voice information as is. However, this is merely an example. For example, the presentation information generation unit 13 may generate, as guidance information, announcement presentation information for displaying the contents of the announcement recognized by the voice recognition unit 17 based on the voice information, with words inserted between utterances (so-called fillers), such as “umm,” “ah,” etc., deleted. For example, the presentation information generation unit 13 may store, in advance, the above-described words to be deleted as deletion target keywords, and delete the words inserted between utterances by searching for the stored deletion target keywords from the recognition results of the utterance content output from the voice recognition unit 17. For example, when the voice recognition unit 17 performs voice recognition, it may delete words inserted between utterances.
[0073] In the above description, the guidance information displayed by the guidance control device 1a is the content of the utterance made by the station staff into the voice input device, but this is merely an example. For example, the station staff may make announcements according to a template. In this case, the guidance control device 1a may generate announcement presentation information for displaying the content of the template read by the station staff as guidance information, rather than the content of the utterance recognized from the station staff's speech, and display the guidance information on the display unit 31. In this case, the voice information acquisition unit 16 in the guidance control device 1a acquires information on the template read by the station staff as voice information. For example, when the station management system outputs notification information addressed to the station staff to make an announcement, it also outputs the notification information addressed to the station staff to the guidance control device 1a. At that time, the station management system also outputs information on the template read by the station staff. Note that this is merely an example. For example, template candidates to be read by the station staff may be stored in the storage unit in advance, and when notification information for station staff is output from the station management system, the voice information acquisition unit 16 may refer to the storage unit to identify and acquire information about the template to be read by the station staff from among the template candidates. For example, the notification information for station staff output from the station management system to the guidance control device 1a is provided with information that can identify the template instructed to be announced to the station staff. Based on the information provided in the notification information for station staff, the voice information acquisition unit 16 can identify the template to be read by the station staff from among the templates stored in the storage unit. Furthermore, for example, the voice information acquisition unit 16 may acquire from the voice recognition unit 17 a recognition result of the speech content that the voice recognition unit 17 recognizes by speech uttered by the station staff into the voice input device, and identify the template to be read by the station staff by comparing the speech recognition result with the template candidates stored in the storage unit. In addition, if the voice information acquisition unit 16 acquires the template information to be read by the station staff as voice information without using the recognition results of the speech content, the guidance control device 1a can be configured without including the voice recognition unit 17.The presentation information generation unit 13 recognizes the content of the template as a spoken speech related to the event to be notified based on the audio information acquired by the audio information acquisition unit 16, and generates announcement presentation information for displaying the recognized content of the template as guidance information. The display control unit 14 displays this on the display unit 31.
[0074] Even in this way, the guidance control device 1a can provide guidance on the event to be notified so that the user can visually grasp the content of the currently announced speech and understand the content of the event to be notified. Furthermore, the guidance control device 1a can visualize the speech content related to the event to be notified by voice and display the speech content on the display unit 31 as guidance information, thereby visually informing the hearing impaired of the speech content related to the event to be notified.
[0075] <Variation (7)> In the above <Variation (6)>, when the display control unit 14 displays the announcement presentation information as guidance information on the display unit 31 using animation, the display control unit 14 may display the guidance information in a form that makes it clear that the content was actually announced on the premises by sequentially changing the colors of multiple characters included in the sentence in the animation over time, starting with the first character of the sentence. As a specific example, suppose a station attendant utters into the voice input device, "There has been a personal injury accident at △□ Station. As a result, service on the XX Line is currently suspended." In this case, the presentation information generation unit 13 generates, as guidance information, announcement presentation information for displaying an animation of "There has been a personal injury accident at △□ Station. As a result, service on the XX Line is currently suspended." The display control unit 14 then displays a message such as "There has been an accident resulting in injury or death at △□ station. As a result, service on the XX line is currently suspended," and then superimposes the same message in succession, starting from the beginning of the message, with the text in different colors. Note that the speed and number of text colors to be changed at one time are predetermined.
[0076] FIG. 9 is a diagram illustrating another example of the display unit 31 displaying announcement presentation information generated as guidance information by the display control unit 14 in the first embodiment. Note that, for convenience, FIG. 9 illustrates only the display unit 31. FIG. 9 illustrates an example of guidance information displayed on the display unit 31 when a station attendant speaks to the voice input device, "There has been a personal injury accident at △□ station. As a result, service on the XX line is currently suspended." FIG. 9 also illustrates an example of the display control unit 14 displaying the spoken content as an animation and then sequentially superimposing multiple characters in the animation, starting from the beginning, with the characters changing color, by arranging four animations in chronological order on the display unit 31. For convenience, in FIG. 9, the content of the announcement before superimposition is shown in white text, and the superimposed characters in a different color are shown in bold black.
[0077] In this manner, when the determination unit 12 determines that a guidance target event has occurred, in other words, when the determination unit 12 outputs event occurrence information, the presentation information generation unit 13 generates, as guidance information, announcement presentation information for displaying the speech content related to the guidance target event, which is recognized based on the speech information acquired by the speech information acquisition unit 16. The display control unit 14 may display the announcement presentation information generated by the presentation information generation unit 13 as guidance information using animation, with the colors of multiple characters included in a sentence in the animation changing sequentially over time, starting from the first character of the sentence, on the display unit 31. This allows the guidance control device 1a to provide guidance about the guidance target event so that the user can visually grasp the content of the speech currently being announced and understand the content of the guidance target event. Furthermore, the guidance control device 1a can provide guidance information in a way that makes it clear that the speech content is currently being announced. Furthermore, hearing-impaired people, in particular, cannot hear the speech being announced. The guidance control device 1a visualizes the spoken content regarding the event to be notified by voice and displays the spoken content on the display unit 31 as guidance information, thereby providing visual guidance to hearing-impaired persons so that they can understand that the spoken content regarding the event to be notified is the content that is currently being announced.
[0078] In the above example, the display control unit 14 displays the guidance information in a display format that changes the color of the characters to indicate that the speech content is related to the event to be guided, but this is merely an example. For example, the display control unit 14 may display the guidance information as an animation, and after displaying multiple characters contained in a sentence in the animation as a sentence, underline the characters in the sentence in order over time, starting from the first character.
[0079] <Modification (8)> In <Modification (6)> or <Modification (7)>, the guidance control device 1a may visualize the spoken content (e.g., an on-site announcement) related to the event to be guided by voice, generate announcement presentation information for displaying the spoken content as guidance information, display the announcement presentation information on the display unit 31, and change the lighting of the lighting unit 32. More specifically, in the guidance control device 1a, when the display control unit 14 displays the announcement presentation information generated as guidance information on the display unit 31, the lighting control unit 15 lights up the lighting unit 32 in a lighting pattern indicating that the displayed guidance information is the spoken content (hereinafter referred to as the "announcement notification lighting pattern"). Note that the announcement notification lighting pattern is, for example, predetermined.
[0080] FIG. 10 is a diagram illustrating an example of the information output device 3 in which the display control unit 14 displays guidance information for displaying utterance content on the display unit 31 and the lighting control unit 15 lights the lighting unit 32 in an announcement notification lighting pattern in accordance with the first embodiment. In FIG. 10 , as an example, a station attendant speaks to the voice input device, "Trains are currently experiencing delays due to strong winds." Also, in FIG. 10 , as an example, the display control unit 14 displays guidance information in the form of an animation in which the outer periphery of a speech bubble displaying "Trains are currently experiencing delays due to strong winds" blinks. The lighting control unit 15 then lights the lighting unit 32 so that the lighting color changes over time from the ends to the center of the lighting unit 32. Note that the announcement notification lighting pattern is set to light the lighting unit 32 so that the lighting color changes over time from the ends to the center of the lighting unit 32.
[0081] The announcement notification lighting pattern may differ depending on the type of event to be notified. For example, the announcement notification lighting pattern according to the type of event to be notified is set in the guidance information generation rules or the display conditions, and the display control unit 14 determines the announcement notification lighting pattern based on the guidance information generation rules or by matching the display category in the display conditions with the event to be notified identified from the event occurrence information or the operation information.
[0082] In this way, when the display control unit 14 causes the display unit 31 to display the announcement presentation information generated as guidance information, the lighting control unit 15 may light up the lighting unit 32 in a lighting pattern (announcement notification lighting pattern) indicating that the displayed guidance information is spoken content. This allows the guidance control device 1a to provide guidance for the event to be guided by allowing the user to visually and more intuitively understand the content of the currently announced spoken voice. Furthermore, the guidance control device 1a can provide guidance in a way that makes it clear that the guidance information is the currently announced spoken content. In particular, hearing-impaired persons cannot hear the audio announcement. The guidance control device 1a visualizes the audio spoken content related to the event to be guided by the speech and displays the spoken content on the display unit 31 as guidance information, thereby providing guidance to hearing-impaired persons in a way that makes it clear that the currently announced spoken content is the currently announced spoken content.
[0083] In the first embodiment, the operation of the guidance control device 1a will be described when the guidance control device is a guidance control device 1a having the configuration shown in FIG. 7, i.e., in the above-mentioned <Modification (6)> to <Modification (8)>. FIG. 11 is a flowchart for describing the operation of the guidance control device 1a when the guidance control device is a guidance control device 1a having the configuration shown in FIG. 7 in the first embodiment. For example, when the power to the guidance control device 1a is turned on or when an operation start instruction is received from a manager or the like, the guidance control device 1a starts the operation shown in the flowchart of FIG. 11. The guidance control device 1a repeats the operation shown in the flowchart of FIG. 11, for example, until the power to the guidance control device 1a is turned off or until an operation end instruction is received from a manager or the like. The manager or the like inputs the operation start instruction or operation end instruction from a PC provided in, for example, a station control room or the like. The control unit (not shown) of the guidance control device 1a receives an operation start instruction and starts the operation of the operation information acquisition unit 11, the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, the lighting control unit 15, the voice information acquisition unit 16, and the voice recognition unit 17. The control unit also receives an operation end instruction and ends the operation of the operation information acquisition unit 11, the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, the lighting control unit 15, the voice information acquisition unit 16, and the voice recognition unit 17.
[0084] The details of the processing in steps ST10 and ST20 in FIG. 11 are the same as the details of the processing in steps ST10 and ST20 in FIG. 4, which have already been explained, and therefore will not be explained again.
[0085] The voice information acquisition unit 16 acquires voice information (step ST21), and outputs the acquired voice information to the voice recognition unit 17.
[0086] The speech recognition unit 17 recognizes the speech content based on the speech information acquired by the speech information acquisition unit 16 in step ST21 (step ST22). The speech recognition unit 17 outputs the speech content, more specifically, the recognition result of the announcement, to the presentation information generation unit 13.
[0087] When the judgment unit 12 judges in step ST20 that an event to be notified has occurred (if "YES" in step ST20), in other words, when the judgment unit 12 outputs information indicating that an event has occurred, the presentation information generation unit 13 generates, as guidance information (step ST30a), announcement presentation information for displaying the content of the voice utterance regarding the event to be notified, i.e., the content of the announcement, which was recognized by the voice recognition unit 17 based on the voice information in step ST22.
[0088] The display control unit 14 causes the display unit 31 to display the announcement presentation information generated as guidance information by the presentation information generation unit 13 in step ST30a (step ST40a).
[0089] When the display control unit 14 causes the display unit 31 to display guidance information in step ST40a, the lighting control unit 15 lights up the lighting unit 32. At this time, the lighting control unit 15 lights up the lighting unit 32 in an announcement notification lighting pattern (step ST50a).
[0090] 11, the processing of steps ST21 to ST22 is performed after step ST20, but this is merely an example. For example, the processing of steps ST10 to ST20 and the processing of steps ST21 to ST22 may be performed in parallel.
[0091] In addition, for example, if the lighting control unit 15 does not have the function of lighting the lighting unit 32 in an announcement notification lighting pattern (for example, in the case of <Variant Example (6)> or <Variant Example (7)>), the lighting control unit 15 may simply light the lighting unit 32 in a predetermined lighting pattern in step ST50a.
[0092] Also, for example, if the presentation information generation unit 13 generates announcement presentation information as guidance information in step ST30a to display the contents of a template to be read by a station attendant, and the recognition results of the speech content are not used to generate the guidance information, the guidance control device 1a can omit the processing of step ST22.
[0093] <Variation (9)> In the above-described first embodiment, in addition to the function of controlling the display of guidance information on the display unit 31 and the lighting of the lighting unit 32, the guidance control device 1 may also have, for example, a function of controlling the execution of inquiries to station staff, a function of controlling the display of a station premises map, a function of controlling the display of information around the station, a function of controlling the display of secondary traffic information, a function of controlling the display of a route map, a function of controlling the display of a timetable, a multilingual display function, or a translation function.
[0094] Regarding the function of controlling the execution of inquiries to station staff, for example, in the guidance control device 1, the display control unit 14 displays an inquiry button at a predetermined position on the display unit 31. The shape of the inquiry button is not important. Here, the display unit 31 is assumed to be a touch-panel liquid crystal display. When a user operates the inquiry button, the control unit of the guidance control device 1 receives the operation and notifies a PC or the like installed in the management room that an inquiry has been made, thereby enabling a call between the PC or the like and the information output device 3. The information output device 3 includes a speaker (not shown) and a microphone (not shown), and the speaker outputs the voice of the station staff. The microphone also collects the voice of the user. For example, in the guidance control device 1, the control unit may receive inquiries from users in a chat format. When the control unit receives an operation of the inquiry button or the like by a user, the control unit displays an automatic response message on the display unit 31 via the display control unit 14. The control unit may respond to the user's inquiry in a chat format using a known technology for chat-style dialogue. By being able to respond to inquiries from users in chat format, the guidance control device 1 can respond to inquiries even if the user is hearing impaired.
[0095] Regarding the display control function of station maps, secondary traffic information, route maps, or timetables, in the guidance control device 1, the display control unit 14, for example, acquires this information from the operation system 2 and displays it at a predetermined position on the display unit 31.
[0096] Regarding the display control function of the station surrounding information, for example, in the guidance control device 1, the display control unit 14 may acquire station surrounding information from, for example, a station management system and display it at a predetermined position on the display unit 31. The station management system holds station surrounding information.
[0097] Regarding the multilingual display function or translation function, for example, in the guidance control device 1, the display control unit 14 may use a known multilingual display technology or a known translation technology to display the multilingual display or translation results.
[0098] In the first embodiment, the above-described <Modification (1)> to <Modification (9)> may be applied in combination.
[0099] 12A and 12B are diagrams illustrating an example of the hardware configuration of the guidance control device 1 according to the first embodiment. In the first embodiment, the functions of the operation information acquisition unit 11, the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, the lighting control unit 15, and a control unit (not shown) are realized by a processing circuit 1001. That is, the guidance control device 1 includes the processing circuit 1001 for determining whether or not a guidance-required event has occurred based on the acquired operation information, and for generating guidance information and displaying it on the display unit 31 and for controlling the lighting unit 32 to light up if it is determined that a guidance-required event has occurred. The processing circuit 1001 may be dedicated hardware as shown in FIG. 12A , or may be a processor 1004 that executes a program stored in a memory as shown in FIG. 12B .
[0100] If the processing circuit 1001 is dedicated hardware, the processing circuit 1001 may be, for example, a single circuit, a composite circuit, a programmed processor, a parallel programmed processor, an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit), an FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array), or a combination thereof.
[0101] When the processing circuit is the processor 1004, the functions of the operation information acquisition unit 11, the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, the lighting control unit 15, and a control unit (not shown) are realized by software, firmware, or a combination of software and firmware. The software or firmware is written as a program and stored in the memory 1005. The processor 1004 reads and executes the program stored in the memory 1005, thereby executing the functions of the operation information acquisition unit 11, the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, the lighting control unit 15, and a control unit (not shown). In other words, the guidance control device 1 includes the memory 1005 for storing a program that, when executed by the processor 1004, results in the execution of steps ST10 to ST50 of FIG. 4 described above. In addition, the program stored in memory 1005 can also be said to cause the computer to execute the processing procedures or methods of the operation information acquisition unit 11, the judgment unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, the lighting control unit 15, and a control unit not shown. Here, the memory 1005 may be, for example, a non-volatile or volatile semiconductor memory such as a RAM, a ROM (Read Only Memory), a flash memory, an EPROM (Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory), or an EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory), or a magnetic disk, a flexible disk, an optical disk, a compact disk, a mini disk, or a DVD (Digital Versatile Disc).
[0102] Note that the functions of the operation information acquisition unit 11, the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, the lighting control unit 15, and the control unit (not shown) may be partially implemented by dedicated hardware and partially implemented by software or firmware. For example, the operation information acquisition unit 11 may be implemented by a processing circuit 1001 as dedicated hardware, while the functions of the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, the lighting control unit 15, and the control unit (not shown) may be implemented by a processor 1004 reading and executing programs stored in a memory 1005. The storage unit (not shown) may be, for example, a memory 1005, an HDD, or an SSD. The guidance control device 1 also includes an input interface device 1002 and an output interface device 1003 that communicate with devices such as the operation system 2 or the information output device 3 via wired or wireless communication.
[0103] When the guidance control device is the guidance control device 1a shown in FIG. 7, the hardware configuration of the guidance control device 1a is also the configuration shown in FIGS. 12A and 12B. In the guidance control device 1a, the functions of the operation information acquisition unit 11, the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, the lighting control unit 15, the voice information acquisition unit 16, the voice recognition unit 17, and a control unit (not shown) are realized by a processing circuit 1001. That is, the guidance control device 1a includes a processing circuit 1001 for controlling visualization of the contents of on-site announcements based on voice information. The processing circuit 1001 may be dedicated hardware as shown in FIG. 12A, or a processor 1004 that executes a program stored in memory as shown in FIG. 12B.
[0104] The processing circuit 1001 reads and executes a program stored in the memory 1005, thereby executing the functions of the operation information acquisition unit 11, the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, the lighting control unit 15, the voice information acquisition unit 16, the voice recognition unit 17, and a control unit (not shown). That is, the guidance control device 1a includes the memory 1005 for storing a program that, when executed by the processing circuit 1001, results in the execution of steps ST10 to ST50a in FIG. 11 described above. The program stored in the memory 1005 can also be said to cause a computer to execute the processing procedures or methods of the operation information acquisition unit 11, the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, the lighting control unit 15, the voice information acquisition unit 16, the voice recognition unit 17, and a control unit (not shown). The storage unit (not shown) is, for example, configured from the memory 1005, an HDD, or an SSD. The guidance control device 1a also includes an input interface device 1002 and an output interface device 1003 that perform wired or wireless communication with devices such as the operation system 2 or the information output device 3.
[0105] In the first embodiment described above, an operation disruption is listed as a sudden event that is a target event for guidance, and an arrival of a train is listed as an event for which users should be prepared in advance. However, this is merely an example. In addition to operation disruption, the unexpected events include, for example, trespassing on the tracks, nuisance behavior, and other troubles at boarding and alighting areas. The guidance control device 1, 1a may acquire information about trespassing on the tracks as operation information from, for example, a station management system. For example, when an emergency bell is rung at a boarding or alighting area of a station, the station management system detects that a trouble has occurred at the boarding or alighting area and outputs operation information indicating that a trouble has occurred at the boarding or alighting area to the guidance control device 1, 1a. Events for which users should be prepared in advance include, for example, the delivery of large cargo in addition to the arrival of a train. The guidance control device 1, 1a may acquire information about the delivery of large cargo as operation information from, for example, a station management system. For example, the station management system may receive a notice from a contractor that large cargo will be delivered. For example, a carrier may input information about the delivery of oversized cargo from a mobile terminal, thereby notifying the station management system of the delivery of the oversized cargo via the mobile terminal. At this time, the carrier may also notify information about the elevators and landing areas that the carrier will use to deliver the oversized cargo. When the station management system receives the information about the delivery of the oversized cargo, it outputs the delivery route of the oversized cargo and other information to the guidance control device 1, 1a as operation information.
[0106] In the first embodiment described above, the information output device 3 is provided at a platform at a station where trains can arrive and depart, but this is merely an example. The information output device 3 may be provided at a location other than a platform at a station, such as a station ticket gate. The guidance control device 1, 1a can also control the display of the display unit 31 and the lighting of the lighting unit 32 provided in the information output device 3 provided at a location other than a platform at a station.
[0107] In the first embodiment described above, the guidance control device 1, 1a is mounted on, for example, a server. However, this is merely an example. For example, the guidance control device 1, 1a may be mounted on the information output device 3 or a PC installed in a management room or the like, or in a location other than the server. Furthermore, for example, some of the operation information acquisition unit 11, the determination unit 12, the presentation information generation unit 13, the display control unit 14, the lighting control unit 15, the voice information acquisition unit 16, the voice recognition unit 17, or a control unit not shown may be mounted on the server, and the rest may be installed in a location other than the server, and a system may be configured with the server and a location other than the server.
[0108] In the above-described first embodiment, the mobile object is a train, and the guidance control device 1, 1a controls the display of the display unit 31 and the illumination of the illumination unit 32 of the information output device 3 provided at the platform of a station where the train can depart and arrive. However, this is merely an example. The guidance control device 1, 1a can provide guidance regarding the mobile object to users of various mobile objects by controlling the display of the display unit 31 that displays information about the mobile object and the illumination of the illumination unit 32. For example, the guidance control device 1, 1a can generate guidance information that provides information about the occurrence and details of events that require guidance at platforms where vehicles such as buses or taxis, aircraft, ships such as ferries, or rides at entertainment facilities such as amusement parks (hereinafter referred to as "various mobile objects") can depart and arrive, and control the display and illumination of the guidance information. In this case, the operation system 2 is a system owned by, for example, a bus management company, a taxi management company, an airline, a shipping company, or an entertainment facility management company, and manages the operation of various mobile objects.
[0109] As described above, according to the first embodiment, the guidance control device 1, 1a is configured to include an operation information acquisition unit 11 that acquires operation information related to the operation of a mobile object, a determination unit 12 that determines whether or not a guidance-required event has occurred based on the operation information acquired by the operation information acquisition unit 11, a presentation information generation unit 13 that generates guidance information that provides guidance about the occurrence and details of the guidance-required event when the determination unit 12 determines that the guidance-required event has occurred, a display control unit 14 that causes the display unit 31 to display the guidance information generated by the presentation information generation unit 13, and a lighting control unit 15 that turns on the lighting unit 32 when the display control unit 14 causes the display unit 31 to display the guidance information. Therefore, the guidance control device 1, 1a can provide guidance to a user about an event quickly and in a manner that allows the user to understand the details of the event.
[0110] Any of the components of the embodiments may be modified or omitted.
[0111] The guidance control device of the present disclosure can provide guidance to a user about an event quickly and in a manner that allows the user to understand the details of the event.
