Abstract
Description
[0001] Sterilization Basket Structure
[0002] Technical Field
[0003] The invention relates to a sterilization basket structure developed in the healthcare sector to prevent oxidation and the formation of bacteria that reproduce in the environment as a result of oxidation, and to provide long-lasting use, in which medical instruments and devices are positioned in order to ensure sterilization of medical instruments and devices with high heat and pressure by placing them in a sterilization device.
[0004] State of the Art
[0005] Sterilization baskets are used in the healthcare sector for the sterilization of medical devices and instruments in hospitals, health cabins, and health centers. The mentioned baskets provide the necessary heat and pressurized water inside the sterilization device, making it easy to clean the medical devices and instruments by fixing them during the process.
[0006] The sterilization baskets are used for the sterilization of surgical instruments, implants, surgical gowns and other medical materials and have a perforated structure. Thanks to its perforated design, steam is allowed to reach the materials freely during the sterilization process, thus ensuring effective sterilization. In order for the sterilization process to take place effectively, it is important that these baskets are placed properly and the materials are placed in the basket in an orderly manner. Such baskets need to be cleaned and maintained regularly to ensure that the sterilization process is carried out safely and effectively.
[0007] When the currently used baskets are placed in the container, oxidation occurs as a result of the contact of the metals with each other and the reaction of the chemicals used. Bacteria that grow in the environment as a result of oxidation reduce the sterilization rate. In addition, due to the sterilization process being carried out at high temperatures, heated baskets can cause skin damage to users. As a result of the researches carried out on the subject, the application titled “Spring locking mechanism for sterilization containers” and numbered TR 2008 / 10103 has been found. The application relates to a spring lock mechanism for sterilization containers, a lock mechanism that provides a safe sterile environment by locking the lid with the appropriate flexibility and tightness thanks to the springs that apply pressure to the lock pin placed on the lock latch of the sterilization containers used during the sterile isolation, transportation and preservation of medical and surgical materials, compensates for the deformations that may occur in the seal over time, ensuring long-term and safe use of sterilization containers thanks to its flexible locking mechanism. In the said application, although there is no development regarding the oxidation problem, a spring lock mechanism is used to fix the basket.
[0008] The inventions mentioned and found in the searches on the subject are the developments used in different sectors, but they are insufficient in solving the existing problems, necessitating the need for a new development that will eliminate the disadvantages in the relevant technical field.
[0009] Object of the Invention
[0010] The invention is inspired by the current situation and aims to solve the above- mentioned drawbacks.
[0011] The main object of the invention is to prevent oxidation that may occur during the sterilization process.
[0012] Another object of the invention is to prevent the reproduction of microorganisms that may interfere with sterilization.
[0013] Another object of the invention is to provide long-lasting use by preventing the basket placed inside the container from damaging the container. Another object of the invention is to prevent skin damage that may occur to users due to the heated baskets due to the sterilization process being carried out at high temperatures.
[0014] In order to achieve all the advantages mentioned above and understood from the detailed description below, the invention is a sterilization basket structure that is used to prevent oxidation that occurs as a result of contact with the container in which the medical instruments and devices are placed and the formation of bacteria that reproduce in the environment as a result of oxidation in the health sector, in order to ensure the sterilization of medical instruments and devices with high heat and pressure by placing them in a sterilization device, comprising a vacuum foot made of silicone material to prevent the bottom surface of the basket from coming into contact with the container and to ensure that it remains stable during transportation, a corner bead made of silicone material to prevent the basket corner surfaces from coming into contact with the container and to ensure that the basket is placed and held onto the container, a handle made of silicone material to ensure that the basket is held by the user without being exposed to high heat.
[0015] The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all its advantages will be understood more clearly by means of the figures given below and the detailed description written by making references to these figures, and therefore the evaluation needs to be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into consideration.

[0025] Detailed Description of the Invention
[0026] The sterilization basket structure (A) which is the subject of the invention has been developed in the health sector to ensure the sterilization of medical instruments and devices by placing them in a sterilization device with high heat and pressure, to prevent oxidation resulting from contact with the container (4) where the medical instruments and devices are positioned, and to prevent the formation of bacteria that reproduce in the environment as a result of oxidation, and to provide long-lasting use.
[0027] The currently used baskets placed inside the container (4) during the sterilization phase cause oxidation due to the effects of heat and friction. This creates bacteria that not only shortens the lifespan of the products but also reduces the sterilization level. Oxidation is more prevalent at the corner points, which are the parts where the basket and the metal container come into contact the most.
[0028] In the invention, as seen in Figure 1 and Figure 2, a corner bead (2) made of silicone material is positioned at the corner points where the metals come into contact the most in order to prevent oxidation, to prevent the contact of the basket corner surfaces with the container (4) and to ensure that the basket is placed and held onto the container (4). The surface of the corner beads (2) has a flexible gear structure (a) as seen in Figure 1. The said gear flexible gear structure (a) ensures that the basket fits and settles completely into the container (4).
[0029] As seen in Figure 2 and Figure 3, vacuum feet (3) made of silicone material are positioned to prevent the bottom surface of the basket from coming into contact with the container (4) and to ensure that it remains stable during transportation. The vacuum feet (3) ensure that the basket structure (A) remains stable during the transportation phase. Baskets, whose sterilization process are completed by being exposed to high heat and pressure, are taken by users and the sterilized medical instruments and devices inside are ready for use. However, the handles that get hot due to high temperatures harm the hands of the users. In the sterilization basket structure (A) which is the subject of the invention, the handle (1 ) is formed by coating made of silicone material and the said situation is eliminated.
[0030] A healthy sterilization process and long-lasting use are ensured by preventing oxidation that may occur during the sterilization process and the reproduction of bacteria and microorganisms that may occur as a result of oxidation, with the basket structure (A) which is the subject of the invention.
