[0050] Reference will now be made in detail to some embodiments of the present disclosure, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. To facilitate understanding, embodiments are provided under a specific network architecture (s) and new service scenarios, such as the 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) 5G NR or 6G, 3GPP LTE, and so on. It is contemplated that along with the developments of network architectures and new service scenarios, all embodiments in the present disclosure are also applicable to similar technical problems; and moreover, the terminologies recited in the present disclosure may change, which should not affect the principles of the present disclosure.

[0051] A multi-cell scheduling mechanism that allows a single DCI to schedule one or more cells with one or more channels per scheduled cell can be supported. A UL-SCH indicator (e.g., a UL-SCH field) in a DCI can indicate whether a UL-SCH shall be transmitted on a PUSCH. A problem to be solved is how to determine the applicable PUSCH among the scheduled PUSCHs for the UL-SCH field in the DCI format. Another problem is the presence (or the size) of the UL-SCH indicator in the  multi-cell multi-channel scheduling DCI format.

[0052] The present disclosure provides solutions for solving at least the above problems. For example, methods are provided for UL-SCH indication in a multi-cell multi-channel scheduling DCI format.

[0053] FIG. 1 illustrates a schematic diagram of wireless communication system 100 in accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0054] The wireless communication system 100 may include one or more NEs 102 (e.g., one or more BSs) , one or more UEs 104, and a core network (CN) 106. The wireless communication system 100 may support various radio access technologies. In some implementations, the wireless communication system 100 may be a 4G network, such as an LTE network or an LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) network. In some other implementations, the wireless communication system 100 may be a NR network, such as a 5G network, a 5G-Advanced (5G-A) network, or a 5G ultra-wideband (5G-UWB) network. In other implementations, the wireless communication system 100 may be a combination of a 4G network and a 5G network, or other suitable radio access technology including Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 (Wi-Fi) , IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX) , and IEEE 802.20. The wireless communication system 100 may support radio access technologies beyond 5G, for example, 6G. Additionally, the wireless communication system 100 may support technologies, such as time division multiple access (TDMA) , frequency division multiple access (FDMA) , or code division multiple access (CDMA) , etc.

[0055] The one or more NEs 102 may be dispersed throughout a geographic region to form the wireless communication system 100. One or more of the NEs 102 described herein may be or include or may be referred to as a network node, a base station, a network element, a network function, a network entity, a radio access network (RAN) , a NodeB, an eNodeB (eNB) , a next-generation NodeB (gNB) , or other suitable terminology. An NE 102 and a UE 104 may communicate via a communication link, which may be a wireless or wired connection. For example, an NE 102 and a UE 104 may perform wireless communication (e.g., receive signaling, transmit signaling) over a Uu interface.

[0056] An NE 102 may provide a geographic coverage area for which the NE 102 may support services for one or more UEs 104 within the geographic coverage area. For example, an NE 102 and a UE 104 may support wireless communication of signals related to services (e.g., voice, video, packet data, messaging, broadcast, etc. ) according to one or multiple radio access technologies. In some implementations, an NE 102 may be moveable, for example, a satellite associated with a non-terrestrial network (NTN) . In some implementations, different geographic coverage areas 112 associated with the same or different radio access technologies may overlap, but the different geographic coverage areas may be associated with a different NE 102.

[0057] The one or more UEs 104 may be dispersed throughout a geographic region of the wireless communication system 100. A UE 104 may include or may be referred to as a remote unit, a mobile device, a wireless device, a remote device, a subscriber device, a transmitter device, a receiver device, or some other suitable terminology. In some implementations, the UE 104 may be referred to as a unit, a station, a terminal, or a client, among other examples. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE 104 may be referred to as an Internet-of-Things (IoT) device, an Internet-of-Everything (IoE) device, or machine-type communication (MTC) device, among other examples.

[0058] A UE 104 may be able to support wireless communication directly with other UEs 104 over a communication link. For example, a UE 104 may support wireless communication directly with another UE 104 over a device-to-device (D2D) communication link. In some implementations, such as vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) deployments, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) deployments, or cellular-V2X deployments, the communication link 114 may be referred to as a sidelink. For example, a UE 104 may support wireless communication directly with another UE 104 over a PC5 interface.

[0059] An NE 102 may support communication with the CN 106, or with another NE 102, or both. For example, an NE 102 may interface with another NE 102 or the CN 106 through one or more backhaul links (e.g., S1, N2, N3 or another network interface) . In some implementations, the NE 102 may communicate with each other directly. In some other implementations, the NE 102 may communicate with each other or indirectly (e.g., via the CN 106) . In some implementations, one or more NEs 102 may include subcomponents, such as an access network entity, which may be an example of  an access node controller (ANC) . An ANC may communicate with the one or more UEs 104 through one or more other access network transmission entities, which may be referred to as radio heads, smart radio heads, or transmission-reception points (TRPs) .

[0060] The CN 106 may support user authentication, access authorization, tracking, connectivity, and other access, routing, or mobility functions. The CN 106 may be an evolved packet core (EPC) , or a 5G core (5GC) , which may include a control plane entity that manages access and mobility (e.g., a mobility management entity (MME) , an access and mobility management (AMF) ) functions and a user plane entity that routes packets or interconnects to external networks (e.g., a serving gateway (S-GW) , a Packet Data Network (PDN) gateway (P-GW) , or a user plane function (UPF) ) . In some implementations, the control plane entity may manage non-access stratum (NAS) functions, such as mobility, authentication, and bearer management (e.g., data bearers, signal bearers, etc. ) for the one or more UEs 104 served by the one or more NEs 102 associated with the CN 106.

[0061] The CN 106 may communicate with a packet data network over one or more backhaul links (e.g., via an S1, N2, N3, or another network interface) . The packet data network may include an application server. In some implementations, one or more UEs 104 may communicate with the application server. A UE 104 may establish a session (e.g., a protocol data unit (PDU) session, or the like) with the CN 106 via an NE 102. The CN 106 may route traffic (e.g., control information, data, and the like) between the UE 104 and the application server using the established session (e.g., the established PDU session) . The PDU session may be an example of a logical connection between the UE 104 and the CN 106 (e.g., one or more network functions of the CN 106) .

[0062] In the wireless communication system 100, the NEs 102 and the UEs 104 may use resources of the wireless communication system 100 (e.g., time resources (e.g., symbols, slots, subframes, frames, or the like) or frequency resources (e.g., subcarriers, carriers) ) to perform various operations (e.g., wireless communication) . In some implementations, the NEs 102 and the UEs 104 may support different resource structures. For example, the NEs 102 and the UEs 104 may support different frame  structures. In some implementations, such as in 4G, the NEs 102 and the UEs 104 may support a single frame structure. In some other implementations, such as in 5G and among other suitable radio access technologies, the NEs 102 and the UEs 104 may support various frame structures (i.e., multiple frame structures) . The NEs 102 and the UEs 104 may support various frame structures based on one or more numerologies.

[0063] In some embodiments, the NEs 102 may include one or more relay nodes, integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes or wireless access backhaul (WAB) nodes which can provide wireless access services for UEs 104. A relay node (or an IAB node or a WAB node) can directly connect to a BS or hop through one or more relay nodes (or one or more IAB or WAB nodes) before reaching the BS.

[0064] One or more numerologies may be supported in the wireless communication system 100, and a numerology may include a subcarrier spacing and a cyclic prefix. A first numerology (e.g., μ=0) may be associated with a first subcarrier spacing (e.g., 15 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix. In some implementations, the first numerology (e.g., μ=0) associated with the first subcarrier spacing (e.g., 15 kHz) may utilize one slot per subframe. A second numerology (e.g., μ=1) may be associated with a second subcarrier spacing (e.g., 30 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix. A third numerology (e.g., μ=2) may be associated with a third subcarrier spacing (e.g., 60 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix or an extended cyclic prefix. A fourth numerology (e.g., μ=3) may be associated with a fourth subcarrier spacing (e.g., 120 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix. A fifth numerology (e.g., μ=4) may be associated with a fifth subcarrier spacing (e.g., 240 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix. A sixth numerology (e.g., μ =5) may be associated with a sixth subcarrier spacing (e.g., 480 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix. A seventh numerology (e.g., μ=6) may be associated with a seventh subcarrier spacing (e.g., 960 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix. For ambient IoT communication, additional numerologies (e.g., μ=-1 or μ =-2) may be introduced corresponding to 7.5 kHz or 3.75 kHz respectively.

[0065] A time interval of a resource (e.g., a communication resource) may be organized according to frames (also referred to as radio frames) . Each frame may have a duration, for example, a 10 millisecond (ms) duration. In some implementations, each frame may include multiple subframes. For example, each  frame may include 10 subframes, and each subframe may have a duration, for example, a 1 ms duration. In some implementations, each frame may have the same duration. In some implementations, each subframe of a frame may have the same duration.

[0066] Additionally or alternatively, a time interval of a resource (e.g., a communication resource) may be organized according to slots. For example, a subframe may include a number (e.g., quantity) of slots. The number of slots in each subframe may also depend on the one or more numerologies supported in the wireless communication system 100. For instance, the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth numerologies (i.e., μ=0, μ=1, μ=2, μ=3, μ=4) associated with respective subcarrier spacings (SCSs) of 15 kHz, 30 kHz, 60 kHz, 120 kHz, and 240 kHz may utilize a single slot per subframe, two slots per subframe, four slots per subframe, eight slots per subframe, and 16 slots per subframe, respectively. Each slot may include a number (e.g., quantity) of symbols (e.g., orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols) . In some implementations, the number (e.g., quantity) of slots for a subframe may depend on a numerology. For a normal cyclic prefix, a slot may include 14 symbols. For an extended cyclic prefix (e.g., applicable for 60 kHz subcarrier spacing) , a slot may include 12 symbols. The relationship between the number of symbols per slot, the number of slots per subframe, and the number of slots per frame for a normal cyclic prefix and an extended cyclic prefix may depend on a numerology. It should be understood that reference to a first numerology (e.g., μ=0) associated with a first subcarrier spacing (e.g., 15 kHz) may be used interchangeably between subframes and slots.

[0067] In the wireless communication system 100, an electromagnetic (EM) spectrum may be split, based on frequency or wavelength, into various classes, frequency bands, frequency channels, etc. By way of example, the wireless communication system 100 may support one or multiple operating frequency bands, such as frequency range designations FR1 (410 MHz –7.125 GHz) , FR2 (24.25 GHz –52.6 GHz) , FR3 (7.125 GHz –24.25 GHz) , FR4 (52.6 GHz –114.25 GHz) , FR4a or FR4-1 (52.6 GHz –71 GHz) , and FR5 (114.25 GHz –300 GHz) . In some implementations, the NEs 102 and the UEs 104 may perform wireless communication over one or more of the operating frequency bands. In some implementations, FR1 may be used by the NEs 102 and the UEs 104, among other equipment or devices for cellular communication traffic (e.g.,  control information, data) . In some implementations, FR2 may be used by the NEs 102 and the UEs 104, among other equipment or devices for short-range, high data rate capabilities.

[0068] FR1 may be associated with one or multiple numerologies (e.g., at least three numerologies) . For example, FR1 may be associated with a first numerology (e.g., μ =0) , which includes 15 kHz subcarrier spacing; a second numerology (e.g., μ =1) , which includes 30 kHz subcarrier spacing; and a third numerology (e.g., μ=2) , which includes 60 kHz subcarrier spacing. FR2 may be associated with one or multiple numerologies (e.g., at least 2 numerologies) . For example, FR2 may be associated with a third numerology (e.g., μ=2) , which includes 60 kHz subcarrier spacing; and a fourth numerology (e.g., μ=3) , which includes 120 kHz subcarrier spacing.

[0069] A UE 104 may include computing devices, such as desktop computers, laptop computers, personal digital assistants (PDAs) , tablet computers, smart televisions (e.g., televisions connected to the Internet) , set-top boxes, game consoles, security systems (including security cameras) , vehicle on-board computers, network devices (e.g., routers, switches, and modems) , or the like. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, a UE 104 may include a portable wireless communication device, a smart phone, a cellular telephone, a flip phone, a device having a subscriber identity module, a personal computer, a selective call receiver, or any other device that is capable of sending and receiving communication signals on a wireless network. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, a UE 104 includes wearable devices, such as smart watches, fitness bands, optical head-mounted displays, or the like. Moreover, a UE 104 may be referred to as a subscriber unit, a mobile, a mobile station, a user, a terminal, a mobile terminal, a wireless terminal, a fixed terminal, a subscriber station, a user terminal, or a device, or described using other terminology used in the art. A UE 104 may communicate with an NE 102 (e.g., a BS) via uplink (UL) communication signals. An NE 102 may communicate with a UE 104 via downlink (DL) communication signals.

[0070] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, an NE 102 and a UE 104 may communicate over licensed spectrums, whereas in some other embodiments, an NE 102 and a UE 104 may communicate over unlicensed spectrums. The present disclosure  is not intended to be limited to the implementation of any particular wireless communication system architecture or protocol. Persons skilled in the art should understand that as technology develops and advances, the terminologies described in the present disclosure may change, but should not affect or limit the principles and spirit of the present disclosure.

[0071] In a wireless communication system, an NE (e.g., a BS) and a UE may communicate via DL channels and UL channels. For example, a UE may monitor a PDCCH in one or more search spaces. The PDCCH may carry a DCI, which may schedule uplink channels, such as a PUSCH, or downlink channels, such as a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) .

[0072] Multi-carrier operation is a crucial aspect of commercial networks (e.g., 5G) , as it enables the aggregation of different spectrum resources to provide high data rate and low latency communications.

[0073] In some embodiments, a communication system (e.g., NR) may be designed to support a maximum of 16 component carriers (CCs) in the case of carrier aggregation (CA) or a maximum of 32 CCs in the case of dual connectivity (DC) . In some embodiments of the present disclosure, in the case of CA, one (i.e., a single) DCI can schedule at most one cell (e.g., carrier) by cross-cell (or cross-carrier) scheduling or self-scheduling. In some embodiments, a scheduling mechanism may only allow scheduling a single PUSCH or PDSCH on a single cell per a scheduling DCI. In the context of the present disclosure, this scheduling mechanism is referred to as single-cell scheduling.

[0074] With more available scattered spectrum bands or spectrums with wider bandwidth, the need for simultaneous scheduling of multiple cells is expected to increase. Clearly, the single-cell scheduling mechanism requires much signaling overhead for PDCCHs to schedule DL channels (e.g., PDSCHs) or UL channels (e.g., PUSCHs) when the number of cells configured for a UE is large. To reduce signaling overhead, it would be beneficial to extend from single-cell scheduling to multi-cell scheduling, that is, using a single DCI format to schedule multiple DL channels (e.g., PDSCHs) or UL channels (e.g., PUSCHs) on multiple cells configured for the UE. This scheduling mechanism can greatly reduce signaling overhead.

[0075] In some embodiments, there is a limitation on the multi-cell scheduling mechanism. For example, a maximum of one DL channel (e.g., one PDSCH) or one UL channel (e.g., one PUSCH) is allowed to be scheduled on one cell. For example, a DCI can schedule up to 4 cells, with the restriction of a single PUSCH or PDSCH per scheduled cell. Note that the multi-cell scheduling DCI in these embodiments can also schedule a single channel on a single cell.

[0076] In some embodiments, under certain scenarios (e.g., for FR2 with high SCS) , a scheduling mechanism that allows multiple DL channels (e.g., PDSCHs) or UL channels (e.g., PUSCHs) scheduling on the same serving cell by a single DCI is introduced. For example, up to 8 PUSCHs or PDSCHs on a single serving cell can be scheduled by a single DCI format 0_1 or 1_1. This can save UE power consumption and reduce PDCCH monitoring.

[0077] To fully exploit the gain of power saving and PDCCH overhead reduction, a scheduling mechanism that allows the scheduling of one or more cells with one or more DL channels (e.g., PDSCHs) or UL channels (e.g., PUSCHs) per scheduled cell by a single DCI is introduced. This scheduling mechanism is especially useful when a scheduling cell in FR1 with a lower SCS schedules multiple cells in FR2 with a higher SCS.

[0078] For example, in FIG. 2, it is assumed that the scheduling cell CC 231 is on FR1 with an SCS of 15 kHz and the scheduled cells CC 232, CC 233 and CC 234 are on FR2 with an SCS of 120 kHz. As shown in FIG. 2, DCI 211 on CC 231 can schedule a single slot on each of CC 232, CC 233 and CC 234 while other 7 slots cannot be scheduled within the 1 ms duration due to the different SCSs among scheduled cells and scheduling cell. As a result, the performance will be greatly degraded. Therefore, to fully exploit the scheduling benefit from FR1 to FR2, it would be beneficial to support a single DCI that can schedule multiple cells with one or multiple PDSCHs or PUSCHs per scheduled cell (i.e., multi-cell multi-channel scheduling) so that all the slots on the scheduled cells can be scheduled. Note that the multi-cell multi-channel scheduling DCI can also schedule a single channel on a single cell, or schedule multiple cells with one channel per scheduled cell, or schedule multiple channels on a single cell. DCI formats that can be used for such scheduling  mechanism include, but are not limited to, DCI format 0_3 and DCI format 1_3.

[0079] In some embodiments, a plurality of cells may be configured for a UE for this multi-cell multi-channel scheduling, and the multi-cell multi-channel scheduling DCI may schedule one or more cells among the plurality of cells with one or more channels per scheduled cell. For example, referring to FIG. 3, DCI 311 schedules more than one PUSCH on more than one cell with one or more PUSCHs per cell (e.g., PUSCHs 321-324 on CC 341, PUSCH 325 on CC 342, PUSCH 326 on CC 343, and PUSCHs 327-329 on CC 344) . The serving cell indexes of CC 341 to CC 344 can be ordered as CC 341 < CC 342 < CC 343 < CC 344.

[0080] In some embodiments, a UL-SCH indicator (e.g., a UL-SCH field) in a DCI can indicate whether a UL-SCH shall be transmitted on a PUSCH. As stated above, in the multi-cell multi-channel scheduling mechanism, a DCI format (e.g., DCI format 0_3) can schedule multiple cells with one or more PUSCHs per a scheduled cell. Therefore, a problem is how to determine the applicable PUSCH among the scheduled PUSCHs for the UL-SCH field in the DCI format. Another problem is the presence (or the size) of the UL-SCH indicator in the multi-cell multi-channel scheduling DCI format.

[0081] Embodiments of the present disclosure provide solutions for solving at least the above problems. For example, methods are provided for UL-SCH indication in a multi-cell multi-channel scheduling DCI format. More details on the embodiments of the present disclosure will be illustrated in the following text in combination with the appended drawings.

[0082] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, when a DCI schedules a set of PUSCHs on a set of cells, each of which is scheduled with one or more PUSCHs of the set of PUSCHs, a UL-SCH indicator in the DCI is applied to a reference PUSCH among the set of PUSCHs. A cell on which the reference PUSCH is scheduled is referred to as a reference cell. Various methods can be used to determine the reference PUSCH and the reference cell and will be described in detail in the following text. CSI request field in the DCI is applied to the reference cell. A UE is not expected to receive a DCI including a UL-SCH indicator indicating that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and a CSI request indicator indicating that the UE is not requested to report  CSI (e.g., the CSI request indicator indicates all zero (s) ) .

[0083] In some examples, the UL-SCH indicator may include at least one bit (e.g., 1 bit) . For example, a value of "1" may indicate that a UL-SCH is to be transmitted on a PUSCH and a value of "0" may indicate that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH; or vice versa. For example, in response to the UL-SCH indicator indicating the UL-SCH to be transmitted on a PUSCH, a UE may transmit the UL-SCH on the reference PUSCH; and in response to a UL-SCH indicator indicating the UL-SCH not to be transmitted on a PUSCH, a UE may transmit a CSI on the reference PUSCH. In some examples, the presence of the UL-SCH indicator in a DCI may be dependent on the presence of the reference cell or the reference PDSCH. Details regarding the size or the presence of the UL-SCH indicator will also be described in the following text.

[0084] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, when a DCI (denoted as DCI #A) schedules a set of PUSCHs on a set of cells, wherein each cell of the set of cells is scheduled with one or more PUSCHs of the set of PUSCHs, the reference cell is determined from the set of co-scheduled cells based on the cell indexes. For example, the reference cell is the cell having the smallest or largest serving cell index among the set of cells.

[0085] In some embodiments, the co-scheduled cells may be indicated by a scheduled cell indicator field in DCI #A or a frequency domain resource assignment field in DCI #A. For example, when a certain higher layer parameter (e.g., scheduledCellComboListDCI-0-3 as specified in 3GPP specifications) for the scheduled cell set is configured, the cells co-scheduled by DCI #A is indicated by the scheduled cell indicator field; otherwise, when the higher layer parameter (e.g., scheduledCellComboListDCI-0-3 as specified in 3GPP specifications) for the scheduled cell set is not configured, the cells co-scheduled by DCI #A is indicated by the frequency domain resource assignment field.

[0086] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is a PUSCH among one or more PUSCHs co-scheduled by DCI #A on the reference cell. In some embodiments, the co-scheduled PUSCHs may be indicated by a time domain resource assignment field in DCI #A and may be ordered based on the PUSCH transmission starting times on the reference cell (e.g., in an increasing order of time) . For example, the time domain  resource assignment field may indicate the PUSCH transmission starting times.

[0087] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is the earliest scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #A on the reference cell. In some embodiments, if the reference PUSCH is not a valid PUSCH, the UE may not transmit the reference PUSCH in the cell, and may not transmit the CSI report. In the context of the present disclosure, a valid PUSCH means that none of symbols scheduled for this PUSCH is a downlink symbol indicated by a high layer parameter. In other words, an invalid PUSCH means that at least one symbol scheduled for this PUSCH is a downlink symbol indicated by a high layer parameter. For example, a high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated as specified in 3GPP specifications) may indicate whether each symbol from a set of symbols where a PUSCH is scheduled by a DCI (e.g., DCI #A) on the reference cell is a downlink symbol or not. For example, if the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) indicates that at least one symbol from a set of symbols where the reference PUSCH is scheduled by DCI #A on the reference cell is a downlink symbol, the UE may not transmit the reference PUSCH in the cell, and may not transmit the CSI report if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI.

[0088] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is the earliest scheduled valid PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #A on the reference cell.

[0089] For examples, one PUSCH (denoted as PUSCH #A1) may be determined from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #A on the reference cell. In some embodiments, PUSCH #A1 is the earliest scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #A on the reference cell. If PUSCH #A1 is a valid PUSCH, PUSCH #A1 is the reference PUSCH. The UE may transmit the CSI report on PUSCH #A1.

[0090] In some embodiments, if PUSCH #A1 is not a valid PUSCH, for example, the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) indicates that at least one symbol from a set of symbols where PUSCH #A1 is scheduled by DCI #A on the reference cell is a downlink symbol, the  UE may not transmit PUSCH #A1 in the cell, and may not transmit the CSI report on PUSCH #A1 if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI (e.g., the value (s) of the CSI request indicator are not all zero (s) ) .

[0091] In some embodiments, if PUSCH #A1 is not a valid PUSCH, the UE may not transmit PUSCH #A1 in the reference cell and may try to find a valid PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #A on the reference cell and then transmit the CSI report on this valid PUSCH. This process of finding the valid PUSCH from the one or more PUSCHs may be performed in an ascending order of scheduled transmission times of the one or more PUSCHs (e.g., an increasing order of PUSCH transmission starting times) . Once the UE determines that a PUSCH from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #A on the reference cell is a valid PUSCH, this PUSCH is determined as the reference PUSCH and the CSI report may be transmitted on this PUSCH.

[0092] For example, another PUSCH (denoted as PUSCH #A2) may be determined from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #A on the reference cell. In some embodiments, PUSCH #A2 is the second earliest scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #A on the reference cell. If PUSCH #A2 is a valid PUSCH, PUSCH #A2 is the reference PUSCH. The UE may transmit the CSI report on PUSCH #A2. For example, the UE may transmit the CSI report on PUSCH #A2 if none of symbols where the PUSCH #A2 is scheduled in the reference cell by DCI #A overlaps a downlink symbol indicated by the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) , and if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI.

[0093] In some embodiments, if PUSCH #A2 is not a valid PUSCH, the UE may determine whether yet another PUSCH (denoted as PUSCH #A3) from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #A on the reference cell is a valid PUSCH until all of the one or more PUSCHs are determined as invalid. For example, PUSCH #A3 is the third earliest scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs. If the UE determines that each PUSCH from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #A on  the reference cell is not a valid PUSCH, the CSI report may not be transmitted.

[0094] For example, the UE may not transmit the CSI report if at least one symbol from a set of symbols where each PUSCH is scheduled in the reference cell by DCI #A overlaps a downlink symbol indicated by the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) , and if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI.

[0095] For example, referring to FIG. 3, assuming that the reference cell is the cell having the smallest serving cell index among the co-scheduled cells, then the reference cell is CC 341. As shown in FIG. 3, four PUSCHs, i.e., PUSCH 321 to PUSCH 324 are scheduled on CC 341. The UE may determine whether the first scheduled PUSCH, i.e., PUSCH 321, on CC 341 is a valid PUSCH or not. If PUSCH 321 is valid, the UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 321.

[0096] Alternatively, assuming that the reference cell is the cell having the largest serving cell index among the co-scheduled cells, then the reference cell is CC 344. As shown in FIG. 3, three PUSCHs, i.e., PUSCH 327 to PUSCH 329 are scheduled on CC 344. The UE may determine whether the first scheduled PUSCH, i.e., PUSCH 327, on CC 344 is a valid PUSCH or not. If PUSCH 327 is valid, the UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 327.

[0097] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, when a DCI (denoted as DCI #B) schedules a set of PUSCHs on a set of cells, wherein each cell of the set of cells is scheduled with one or more PUSCHs of the set of PUSCHs, the reference cell is determined from the set of co-scheduled cells based on the cell indexes. For example, the reference cell is the cell having the smallest or largest serving cell index among the set of cells.

[0098] In some embodiments, the co-scheduled cells may be indicated by a scheduled cell indicator field in DCI #B or a frequency domain resource assignment field in DCI #B. For example, when a certain higher layer parameter (e.g., scheduledCellComboListDCI-0-3 as specified in 3GPP specifications) for the scheduled cell set is configured, the cells co-scheduled by DCI #B is indicated by the  scheduled cell indicator field; otherwise, when the higher layer parameter (e.g., scheduledCellComboListDCI-0-3 as specified in 3GPP specifications) for the scheduled cell set is not configured, the cells co-scheduled by DCI #B is indicated by the frequency domain resource assignment field.

[0099] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is a PUSCH among one or more PUSCHs co-scheduled by DCI #B on the reference cell. In some embodiments, the co-scheduled PUSCHs may be indicated by a time domain resource assignment field in DCI #B and may be ordered based on the PUSCH transmission starting times on the reference cell (e.g., in an increasing order of time) . For example, the time domain resource assignment field may indicate the PUSCH transmission starting times.

[0100] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is the last scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #B on the reference cell. In some embodiments, if the reference PUSCH is not a valid PUSCH, the UE may not transmit the reference PUSCH in the cell, and may not transmit the CSI report. For example, if the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) indicates that at least one symbol from a set of symbols where the reference PUSCH is scheduled by DCI #B on the reference cell is a downlink symbol, the UE may not transmit the reference PUSCH in the cell, and may not transmit the CSI report if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI.

[0101] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is the last scheduled valid PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #B on the reference cell.

[0102] For examples, one PUSCH (denoted as PUSCH #B1) may be determined from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #B on the reference cell. In some embodiments, PUSCH #B1 is the last scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #B on the reference cell. If PUSCH #B1 is a valid PUSCH, PUSCH #B1 is the reference PUSCH. The UE may transmit the CSI report on PUSCH #B1.

[0103] In some embodiments, if PUSCH #B1 is not a valid PUSCH, for example, the  high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) indicates that at least one symbol from a set of symbols where PUSCH #B1 is scheduled by DCI #B on the reference cell is a downlink symbol, the UE may not transmit PUSCH #B1 in the cell, and may not transmit the CSI report on PUSCH #B1 if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI (e.g., the value (s) of the CSI request indicator are not all zero (s) ) .

[0104] In some embodiments, if PUSCH #B1 is not a valid PUSCH, the UE may not transmit PUSCH #B1 in the reference cell and may try to find a valid PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #B on the reference cell and then transmit the CSI report on this valid PUSCH. This process of finding the valid PUSCH from the one or more PUSCHs may be performed in a descending order of scheduled times of the one or more PUSCHs (e.g., a decreasing order of PUSCH transmission starting times) . Once the UE determines that a PUSCH from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #B on the reference cell is a valid PUSCH, this PUSCH is determined as the reference PUSCH and the CSI report may be transmitted on this PUSCH.

[0105] For example, another PUSCH (denoted as PUSCH #B2) may be determined from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #B on the reference cell. In some embodiments, PUSCH #B2 is the second last scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #B on the reference cell. If PUSCH #B2 is a valid PUSCH, PUSCH #B2 is the reference PUSCH. The UE may transmit the CSI report on PUSCH #B2. For example, the UE may transmit the CSI report on PUSCH #B2 if none of symbols where the PUSCH #B2 is scheduled in the reference cell by DCI #B overlaps a downlink symbol indicated by the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) , and if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI.

[0106] In some embodiments, if PUSCH #B2 is not a valid PUSCH, the UE may determine whether yet another PUSCH (denoted as PUSCH #B3) from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #B on the reference cell is a valid PUSCH until all of the one or more PUSCHs are determined as invalid. For example, PUSCH #B3 is the  third last scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs. If the UE determines that each PUSCH from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #B on the reference cell is not a valid PUSCH, the CSI report may not be transmitted.

[0107] For example, the UE may not transmit the CSI report if at least one symbol from a set of symbols where each PUSCH is scheduled in the reference cell by DCI #B overlaps a downlink symbol indicated by the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) , and if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI.

[0108] For example, referring to FIG. The UE may determine whether the last scheduled PUSCH, i.e., PUSCH 324, on CC 341 is a valid PUSCH or not. If PUSCH 324 is valid, the UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 324.

[0109] Alternatively, assuming that the reference cell is the cell having the largest serving cell index among the co-scheduled cells, then the reference cell is CC 344. As shown in FIG. 3, three PUSCHs, i.e., PUSCH 327 to PUSCH 329 are scheduled on CC 344. The UE may determine whether the last scheduled PUSCH, i.e., PUSCH 329, on CC 344 is a valid PUSCH or not. If PUSCH 329 is valid, the UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 329.

[0110] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, when a DCI (denoted as DCI #C) schedules a set of PUSCHs on a set of cells, wherein each cell of the set of cells is scheduled with one or more PUSCHs of the set of PUSCHs, the reference cell is determined from the set of co-scheduled cells based on the cell indexes. For example, the reference cell is the cell having the smallest or largest serving cell index among the set of cells.

[0111] In some embodiments, the co-scheduled cells may be indicated by a scheduled cell indicator field in DCI #C or a frequency domain resource assignment field in DCI #C. For example, when a certain higher layer parameter (e.g.,  scheduledCellComboListDCI-0-3 as specified in 3GPP specifications) for the scheduled cell set is configured, the cells co-scheduled by DCI #C is indicated by the scheduled cell indicator field; otherwise, when the higher layer parameter (e.g., scheduledCellComboListDCI-0-3 as specified in 3GPP specifications) for the scheduled cell set is not configured, the cells co-scheduled by DCI #C is indicated by the frequency domain resource assignment field.

[0112] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is a valid PUSCH among one or more PUSCHs co-scheduled by DCI #C on the reference cell. In some embodiments, the co-scheduled PUSCHs may be indicated by a time domain resource assignment field in DCI #C and may be ordered based on the PUSCH transmission starting times on the reference cell (e.g., in an increasing order of time) .

[0113] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is the earliest valid PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #C on the reference cell. If the UE determines that each PUSCH from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #C on the reference cell is not a valid PUSCH, the CSI report may not be transmitted.

[0114] For example, the UE may not transmit the CSI report if at least one symbol from a set of symbols where each PUSCH is scheduled in the reference cell by DCI #C overlaps a downlink symbol indicated by the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) , and if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI.

[0115] For example, referring to FIG. Assuming that PUSCH 321 is a valid PUSCH, then PUSCH 321 is the reference PUSCH, and the UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 321.

[0116] Alternatively, assuming that the reference cell is the cell having the largest serving cell index among the co-scheduled cells, then the reference cell is CC 344. As shown in FIG. 3, three PUSCHs, i.e., PUSCH 327 to PUSCH 329 are scheduled on CC 344. Assuming that PUSCH 327 is a valid PUSCH, then PUSCH 327 is the reference  PUSCH and the UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 327.

[0117] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is the last valid PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #C on the reference cell. If the UE determines that each PUSCH from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #C on the reference cell is not a valid PUSCH, the CSI report may not be transmitted.

[0118] For example, referring to FIG. Assuming that PUSCH 324 is a valid PUSCH, then PUSCH 324 is the reference PUSCH, and the UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 324.

[0119] Alternatively, assuming that the reference cell is the cell having the largest serving cell index among the co-scheduled cells, then the reference cell is CC 344. As shown in FIG. 3, three PUSCHs, i.e., PUSCH 327 to PUSCH 329 are scheduled on CC 344. Assuming that PUSCH 329 is a valid PUSCH, then PUSCH 329 is the reference PUSCH and the UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 329.

[0120] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, when a DCI (denoted as DCI #D) schedules a set of PUSCHs on a set of cells, wherein each cell of the set of cells is scheduled with one or more PUSCHs of the set of PUSCHs, the reference PUSCH may be determined from the set of co-scheduled PUSCHs. The reference cell is the cell where the reference PUSCH is scheduled.

[0121] In some embodiments, the set of PUSCHs co-scheduled by DCI #D may be ordered according to a certain method. Then, the reference PUSCH may be a valid PUSCH from the ordered set of PUSCHs.

[0122] In some embodiments, the set of PUSCHs co-scheduled by DCI #D may be ordered in a time-first frequency-second manner. For example, the set of PUSCHs may be firstly ordered based on (e.g., in an increasing order of) the PUSCH transmission starting time on each cell of the set of co-scheduled cells, and then ordered based on (e.g., in an ascending order of) the serving cell index of the set of co-scheduled cells. In some other embodiments, the set of PUSCHs co-scheduled by DCI #D may  be ordered in a frequency-first time-second manner. For example, the set of PUSCHs may be firstly ordered based on (e.g., in an ascending order of) the serving cell index of the set of co-scheduled cells, and then ordered based on (e.g., in an increasing order of) the PUSCH transmission starting time on each cell of the set of co-scheduled cells. The PUSCH transmission starting times may be indicated by the time domain resource assignment field in DCI #D. The co-scheduled cells may be indicated by a scheduled cell indicator field in DCI #D or a frequency domain resource assignment field in DCI #D.

[0123] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is the first valid PUSCH in the ordered set of PUSCHs. In this way, the CSI report can be transmitted relatively earlier. In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is the last valid PUSCH in the ordered set of PUSCHs. In this way, the UE can have sufficient processing time to transmit the CSI report. If the UE determines that each PUSCH from the ordered set of PUSCHs is not a valid PUSCH, the CSI report may not be transmitted.

[0124] For example, referring to FIG. 3, assuming that co-scheduled PUSCHs are ordered in a time-first frequency-second manner, then PUSCH 321 to PUSCH 329 can be ordered as PUSCH 321, PUSCH 322, PUSCH 323, PUSCH 324, PUSCH 325, PUSCH 326, PUSCH 327, PUSCH 328, PUSCH 329. Assuming that the reference PUSCH is the first valid PUSCH in the ordered set of PUSCHs, if PUSCH 321 is a valid PUSCH, PUSCH 321 is the reference PUSCH and cell 341 is the reference cell. The UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 321. Assuming that the reference PUSCH is the last valid PUSCH in the ordered set of PUSCHs, if PUSCH 329 is a valid PUSCH, PUSCH 329 is the reference PUSCH and cell 344 is the reference cell. The UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 329.

[0125] For example, still referring to FIG. 3, assuming that co-scheduled PUSCHs are ordered in a frequency-first time-second manner., then PUSCH 321 to PUSCH 329 can be ordered as PUSCH 321, PUSCH 325, PUSCH 326, PUSCH 327, PUSCH 322, PUSCH 328, PUSCH 323, PUSCH 329, PUSCH 324. Assuming that the reference  PUSCH is the last valid PUSCH in the ordered set of PUSCHs, if PUSCH 324 is a valid PUSCH, PUSCH 324 is the reference PUSCH and cell 341 is the reference cell. The UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 324.

[0126] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, when a DCI (denoted as DCI #E) schedules a set of PUSCHs on a set of cells, wherein each cell of the set of cells is scheduled with one or more PUSCHs of the set of PUSCHs, the reference cell is determined from a subset of cells from the set of co-scheduled cells.

[0127] In some embodiments, the co-scheduled cells may be indicated by a scheduled cell indicator field in DCI #E or a frequency domain resource assignment field in DCI #E. For example, when a certain higher layer parameter (e.g., scheduledCellComboListDCI-0-3 as specified in 3GPP specifications) for the scheduled cell set is configured, the cells co-scheduled by DCI #E is indicated by the scheduled cell indicator field; otherwise, when the higher layer parameter (e.g., scheduledCellComboListDCI-0-3 as specified in 3GPP specifications) for the scheduled cell set is not configured, the cells co-scheduled by DCI #E is indicated by the frequency domain resource assignment field.

[0128] In some embodiments, the subset of cells may include all cells with a single PUSCH scheduled per cell from the set of cells co-scheduled by DCI #E. In some embodiments, the reference cell is determined from the subset of cells based on the cell indexes.

[0129] In some embodiments, the reference cell is the cell having the smallest or largest serving cell index among the subset of cells. In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is the single PUSCH scheduled by DCI #E on the reference cell. In some embodiments, if this single PUSCH is not a valid PUSCH, for example, the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) indicates that at least one symbol from a set of symbols where the single PUSCH is scheduled by DCI #E on the reference cell is a downlink symbol, the UE may not transmit the single PUSCH in the cell, and may not transmit the CSI report if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI (e.g., the value (s) of the CSI request indicator are not all zero (s) ) .

[0130] In some embodiments, the reference cell is a cell from the subset of cells with a valid PUSCH scheduled. For examples, a cell (denoted as cell #E1) may be determined from the subset of cells. In some embodiments, cell #E1 is the cell having the smallest or largest serving cell index among the subset of cells. If the single PUSCH (denoted as PUSCH #E1) scheduled by DCI #E on cell #E1 is a valid PUSCH, cell #E1 is the reference cell and PUSCH #E1 is the reference PUSCH. The UE may transmit the CSI report on PUSCH #E1.

[0131] In some embodiments, if PUSCH #E1 is not a valid PUSCH, for example, the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) indicates that at least one symbol from a set of symbols where PUSCH #E1 is scheduled by DCI #E on cell #E1 is a downlink symbol, the UE may not transmit PUSCH #E1 in the cell, and may not transmit the CSI report in the cell if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI (e.g., the value (s) of the CSI request indicator are not all zero (s) ) .

[0132] In some embodiments, if PUSCH #E1 is not a valid PUSCH, the UE may try to find a valid PUSCH among the PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #E on the subset of cells and then transmit the CSI report on this valid PUSCH. This process of finding the valid PUSCH may be performed in an ascending or descending order of serving cell indexes among the subset of cells. Once the UE determines a valid PUSCH on a certain cell of the subset of cells, this cell is the reference cell, the PUSCH scheduled by DCI #E on the reference cell is the reference PUSCH and the CSI report may be transmitted on this PUSCH.

[0133] For example, another cell (denoted as cell #E2) may be determined from the subset of cells. In some embodiments, if cell #E1 is the cell having the smallest serving cell index among the subset of cell, cell #E2 is the cell having the second smallest serving cell index among the subset of cell. In some embodiments, if cell #E1 is the cell having the largest serving cell index among the subset of cell, cell #E2 is the cell having the second largest serving cell index among the subset of cell. If the single PUSCH (denoted as PUSCH #E2) scheduled by DCI #E on cell #E2 is a valid PUSCH, cell #E2 is the reference cell and PUSCH #E2 is the reference PUSCH. The  UE may transmit the CSI report on PUSCH #E2. For example, the UE may transmit the CSI report on PUSCH #E2 if none of symbols where the PUSCH #E2 is scheduled in cell #E2 by DCI #E overlaps a downlink symbol indicated by the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) , and if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI.

[0134] In some embodiments, if PUSCH #E2 is not a valid PUSCH, the UE may determine yet another cell (denoted as cell #E3) from the subset of cells and determine whether the PUSCH (denoted as PUSCH #E3) scheduled by DCI #E on cell #E3 is a valid PUSCH until all of the PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #E on the subset of cells are determined as invalid. For example, cell #E3 may be the cell having the third smallest or largest serving cell index among the subset of cell. If the UE determines that each PUSCH from the PUSCHs scheduled by DCI #E on the subset of cells is not a valid PUSCH, the CSI report may not be transmitted.

[0135] For example, the UE may not transmit the CSI report if at least one symbol from a set of symbols where the PUSCH is scheduled in each cell of the subset of cells by DCI #E overlaps a downlink symbol indicated by the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) , and if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI.

[0136] For example, referring to FIG. 3, since DCI 311 schedules a single PUSCH on each of CC 342 and CC 343, the subset of cells includes CC 342 and CC 343. Assuming that the reference cell is determined from the subset of cells based on the ascending order of serving cell indexes and PUSCH 325 on CC 342 is a valid PUSCH, then CC 342 is the reference cell and PUSCH 325 is the reference PUSCH. The UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 325. Assuming that the reference cell is determined from the subset of cells based on the descending order of serving cell indexes and PUSCH 326 on CC 343 is a valid PUSCH, then CC 343 is the reference cell and PUSCH 326 is the reference PUSCH. The UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 326.

[0137] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, when a DCI (denoted as DCI #F) schedules a set of PUSCHs on a set of cells, wherein each cell of the set of cells is scheduled with one or more PUSCHs of the set of PUSCHs, the reference cell is determined from a subset of cells from the set of co-scheduled cells.

[0138] In some embodiments, the co-scheduled cells may be indicated by a scheduled cell indicator field in DCI #F or a frequency domain resource assignment field in DCI #F. For example, when a certain higher layer parameter (e.g., scheduledCellComboListDCI-0-3 as specified in 3GPP specifications) for the scheduled cell set is configured, the cells co-scheduled by DCI #F is indicated by the scheduled cell indicator field; otherwise, when the higher layer parameter (e.g., scheduledCellComboListDCI-0-3 as specified in 3GPP specifications) for the scheduled cell set is not configured, the cells co-scheduled by DCI #F is indicated by the frequency domain resource assignment field.

[0139] In some embodiments, the subset of cells may include all cells with a single valid PUSCH scheduled per cell from the set of cells co-scheduled by DCI #F. In some embodiments, the reference cell is determined from the subset of cells based on the cell indexes. For example, the reference cell is the cell having the smallest or largest serving cell index among the subset of cells and the reference PUSCH is the valid PUSCH scheduled by DCI #F on the reference cell. The UE may not transmit the CSI report if there is no reference cell. For example, the UE may not transmit the CSI report if there is no reference cell and if the UL-SCH indicator indicates that a UL-SCH shall not be transmitted on a PUSCH and the CSI request indicator indicates that the UE is requested to report CSI.

[0140] For example, referring to FIG. 3, assuming that PUSCH 325 and PUSCH 326 are valid PUSCHs, the subset of cells includes CC 342 and CC 343. Assuming that the reference cell is the cell having the smallest serving cell index among the subset of cells, then CC 342 is the reference cell and PUSCH 325 is the reference PUSCH. The UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 325. Assuming that the reference cell is the cell having the largest serving cell index among the subset of cells, then CC 343 is the reference cell and PUSCH 326 is the reference PUSCH. The UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 326.

[0141] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, when a DCI (denoted as DCI #G) schedules a set of PUSCHs on a set of cells, wherein each cell of the set of cells is scheduled with one or more PUSCHs of the set of PUSCHs, the presence of UL-SCH indicator in DCI #G is dependent on the presence of the reference cell or the reference PUSCH. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the UL-SCH indicator may always be present in DCI #G.

[0142] For example, in some embodiments, the size of the UL-SCH indicator may be greater than zero (i.e., the UL-SCH indicator is present in DCI #G) when at least one cell of the set of cells is scheduled with a single PUSCH or a single valid PUSCH. For example, the size of the UL-SCH indicator may be 1 bit or more than 1 bit. For example, the size of the UL-SCH indicator may be 1 bit if at least one cell of the cells co-scheduled by DCI #G is scheduled with a single PUSCH and none of symbols of this PUSCH overlaps with a downlink symbol indicated by the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) .

[0143] For example, in some embodiments, the size of the UL-SCH indicator is equal to zero (i.e., the UL-SCH indicator is not present in DCI #G) when at least one cell of the set of cells is scheduled with a single PUSCH and each of the single PUSCH is not a valid PUSCH, or when each cell of the set of cells is scheduled with more than one PUSCH. For example, the UL-SCH indicator may not be present (i.e., the size of the UL-SCH indicator is 0 bit) if at least one cell of the cells co-scheduled by DCI #G is scheduled with a single PUSCH and at least one symbol from a set of symbols of this PUSCH overlaps with a downlink symbol indicated by the high layer parameter (e.g., tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon, or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated) .

[0144] For example, referring to FIG. 3, assuming that PUSCH 325 and PUSCH 326 are valid, PUSCH 327 and PUSCH 328 are invalid and PUSCH 329 is valid, the subset of cells includes CC 342, CC 343 and CC 344. Assuming that the reference cell is the cell having the smallest serving cell index among the subset of cells, then CC 342 is the reference cell and PUSCH 325 is the reference PUSCH. The UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH 325. Assuming that the reference cell is the cell having the largest serving cell index among the subset of cells, then CC 344 is the reference cell and PUSCH 329 is the reference PUSCH. The UE may transmit a CSI report on PUSCH  329.

[0145] FIG. 4 illustrates a flowchart of method 400 for wireless communication in accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure. Details described in all of the foregoing embodiments of the present disclosure are applicable for the embodiments shown in FIG. 4. In some examples, method 400 may be performed by a UE. In some embodiments, the UE may execute a set of instructions to control the functional elements of the UE to perform the described functions or operations. In some examples, a processor of the UE may cause the UE to perform method 400.

[0146] At 411, a UE may receive a DCI scheduling a set of PUSCHs on a set of cells, wherein each cell of the set of cells is scheduled with one or more PUSCHs of the set of PUSCHs. At 413, the UE may determine whether to transmit a UL-SCH on a reference PUSCH from the set of PUSCHs based on an indicator in the DCI.

[0147] At 415, the UE may transmit the UL-SCH on the reference PUSCH in response to the indicator indicating the UL-SCH to be transmitted on a PUSCH, or the UE may transmit a CSI on the reference PUSCH in response to the indicator indicating the UL-SCH not to be transmitted on a PUSCH.

[0148] In some embodiments, the UE may: determine a reference cell from the set of cells; determine a first PUSCH from one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell; and determine the reference PUSCH based on whether the first PUSCH is a valid PUSCH or not.

[0149] In some embodiments, the UE may: in response to the first PUSCH being the valid PUSCH, determine the reference PUSCH as the first PUSCH; or in response to the first PUSCH not being the valid PUSCH, determine a second PUSCH from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell, and determine the reference PUSCH based on whether the second PUSCH is the valid PUSCH or not.

[0150] In some embodiments, the first PUSCH is an earliest scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell, and the second PUSCH is a second earliest scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell.

[0151] In some embodiments, the first PUSCH is a last scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell, and the second PUSCH is a second last scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell.

[0152] In some embodiments, the UE may: determine a reference cell from the set of cells; and determine a valid PUSCH from one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell as the reference PUSCH.

[0153] In some embodiments, the reference cell is a cell having a smallest or largest serving cell index among the set of cells; and wherein the reference PUSCH is an earliest or last scheduled valid PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell.

[0154] In some embodiments, the UE may: order the set of PUSCHs; and determine a valid PUSCH from the ordered set of PUSCHs as the reference PUSCH.

[0155] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is the first or last valid PUSCH in the ordered set of PUSCHs.

[0156] In some embodiments, the set of PUSCHs is ordered in a time-first frequency-second manner or a frequency-first time-second manner.

[0157] In some embodiments, the UE may: determine a subset of cells from the set of cells, wherein the subset of cells includes all cells with a single PUSCH scheduled per cell; and determine the reference PUSCH from PUSCH (s) scheduled by the DCI on the subset of cells.

[0158] In some embodiments, determining the reference PUSCH includes: determine a first cell from the subset of cells; determine a first PUSCH scheduled by the DCI on the first cell; and determine the reference PUSCH based on whether the first PUSCH is a valid PUSCH or not.

[0159] In some embodiments, determining the reference PUSCH includes: in response to the first PUSCH being the valid PUSCH, determine the first PUSCH as the reference PUSCH; or in response to the first PUSCH not being the valid PUSCH, determine a  second cell from the subset of cells, determine a second PUSCH scheduled by the DCI on the second cell, and determine the reference PUSCH based on whether the second PUSCH is the valid PUSCH or not.

[0160] In some embodiments, the first cell is a cell having a smallest serving cell index among the subset of cells and the second cell is a cell having a second smallest serving cell index among the subset of cells. In some embodiments, the first cell is a cell having a largest serving cell index among the subset of cells and the second cell is a cell having a second largest serving cell index among the subset of cells.

[0161] In some embodiments, the UE may: determine a subset of cells from the set of cells, wherein the subset of cells includes all cells with a single valid PUSCH scheduled per cell; and determine the reference PUSCH from PUSCH (s) scheduled by the DCI on the subset of cells.

[0162] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is a valid PUSCH scheduled by the DCI on a cell having a smallest or largest serving cell index among the subset of cells.

[0163] In some embodiments, a size of the indicator is greater than zero when at least one cell of the set of cells is scheduled with a single PUSCH or a single valid PUSCH. In some embodiments, the size of the indicator is equal to zero when at least one cell of the set of cells is scheduled with a single PUSCH and each of the single PUSCH is not a valid PUSCH, or when each cell of the set of cells is scheduled with more than one PUSCH.

[0164] In some embodiments, the valid PUSCH is a PUSCH where none of symbols scheduled for it is a downlink symbol indicated by a high layer parameter.

[0165] It should be appreciated by persons skilled in the art that the sequence of the operations in exemplary method 400 may be changed and some of the operations in exemplary method 400 may be eliminated or modified, without departing from the spirit and scope of the disclosure.

[0166] FIG. 5 illustrates a flowchart of method 500 for wireless communication in  accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure. Details described in all of the foregoing embodiments of the present disclosure are applicable for the embodiments shown in FIG. 5. In some examples, method 500 may be performed by a BS. In some embodiments, the BS may execute a set of instructions to control the functional elements of the BS to perform the described functions or operations. In some examples, a processor of the BS may cause the BS to perform method 500.

[0167] At 511, a BS may transmit, to a UE, a DCI scheduling a set of PUSCHs on a set of cells, wherein each cell of the set of cells is scheduled with one or more PUSCHs of the set of PUSCHs. At 513, the BS may determine whether a UL-SCH is to be transmitted on a reference PUSCH of the set of PUSCHs by the UE based on an indicator in the DCI.

[0168] At 515, the BS may receive, from the UE, the UL-SCH on the reference PUSCH in response to the indicator indicating the UL-SCH to be transmitted on a PUSCH, or the BS may receive, from the UE, a CSI on the reference PUSCH in response to the indicator indicating the UL-SCH not to be transmitted on a PUSCH.

[0169] In some embodiments, the BS may: determine a reference cell from the set of cells; determine a first PUSCH from one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell; and determine the reference PUSCH based on whether the first PUSCH is a valid PUSCH or not.

[0170] In some embodiments, the BS may: in response to the first PUSCH being the valid PUSCH, determine the reference PUSCH as the first PUSCH; or in response to the first PUSCH not being the valid PUSCH, determine a second PUSCH from the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell, and determine the reference PUSCH based on whether the second PUSCH is the valid PUSCH or not.

[0171] In some embodiments, the first PUSCH is an earliest scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell, and the second PUSCH is a second earliest scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell. In some embodiments, the first PUSCH is a last scheduled PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell, and the second PUSCH is a second last scheduled PUSCH among  the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell.

[0172] In some embodiments, the BS may: determine a reference cell from the set of cells; and determine a valid PUSCH from one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell as the reference PUSCH.

[0173] In some embodiments, the reference cell is a cell having a smallest or largest serving cell index among the set of cells. In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is an earliest or last scheduled valid PUSCH among the one or more PUSCHs scheduled by the DCI on the reference cell.

[0174] In some embodiments, the BS may: order the set of PUSCHs; and determine a valid PUSCH from the ordered set of PUSCHs as the reference PUSCH.

[0175] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is the first or last valid PUSCH in the ordered set of PUSCHs.

[0176] In some embodiments, the set of PUSCHs is ordered in a time-first frequency-second manner or a frequency-first time-second manner.

[0177] In some embodiments, the BS may: determine a subset of cells from the set of cells, wherein the subset of cells includes all cells with a single PUSCH scheduled per cell; and determine the reference PUSCH from PUSCH (s) scheduled by the DCI on the subset of cells.

[0178] In some embodiments, determining the reference PUSCH includes: determine a first cell from the subset of cells; determine a first PUSCH scheduled by the DCI on the first cell; and determine the reference PUSCH based on whether the first PUSCH is a valid PUSCH or not.

[0179] In some embodiments, determining the reference PUSCH includes: in response to the first PUSCH being the valid PUSCH, determine the first PUSCH as the reference PUSCH; or in response to the first PUSCH not being the valid PUSCH, determine a second cell from the subset of cells, determine a second PUSCH scheduled by the DCI on the second cell, and determine the reference PUSCH based on whether the second PUSCH is the valid PUSCH or not.

[0180] In some embodiments, the first cell is a cell having a smallest serving cell index among the subset of cells and the second cell is a cell having a second smallest serving cell index among the subset of cells. In some embodiments, the first cell is a cell having a largest serving cell index among the subset of cells and the second cell is a cell having a second largest serving cell index among the subset of cells.

[0181] In some embodiments, the BS may: determine a subset of cells from the set of cells, wherein the subset of cells includes all cells with a single valid PUSCH scheduled per cell; and determine the reference PUSCH from PUSCH (s) scheduled by the DCI on the subset of cells.

[0182] In some embodiments, the reference PUSCH is a valid PUSCH scheduled by the DCI on a cell having a smallest or largest serving cell index among the subset of cells.
