Description

DescriptionTitle of Invention: Gravity display stand

[0001] The object of the utility model is a gravity display stand, intended in particular for displaying goods outdoors.

[0002] The state of the art is known for design solutions involving display stands with gravity feeders or gravity feeders.

[0003] US Patent No. US6164462 discloses a display rack with a gravity feeder. The shelves of this rack extend downwards, allowing easier access to goods. The shelves are fixed at an angle so that the lower limit is next to the person using the shelf.

[0004] From the description of the Polish utility model Ru.73238 Yl, there is known a shop gravity feeder, the supporting structure of which consists of posts and crossbars and trays fixed obliquely to the supporting structure, wherein the profile strips form, in each post, guides in which the movable clamps of the locks are fixed, and the bodies of these locks are embedded in the ends of the crossbars and outriggers fixing through the guides the oblique position of the trays formed of transparent plastic as uniform objects in the form of oblong trays. This feeder is positioned at the checkout stand, its height being adjusted by the checkout stand attendant by releasing the movable clips in the post guides, moving the outriggers together with the trays to the desired position and re-tightening the clips belonging to the locks embedded in the outriggers. The feeder is an accessory at the checkout stand in self-service shops, where it is operated by a checkout employee and is used to distribute pre-packaged items, especially cigarettes.

[0005] Commercially available feeders that act as display stands are positioned as separate pieces of equipment placed inside the shop. They are usually made of materials that are not resistant to water, see Polish utility model Ru. 066771.

[0006] It would therefore be expedient to develop a gravity display stand that is weatherproof, damage-resistant and suitable for outdoor display of goods. Solution to Problem

[0007] The subject of the utility model is a gravity display stand containing a vertically aligned supporting structure in the shape of a prism having a base, side walls, a back wall characterised in that the back wall 1 is rectangular in shape and shorter than the side walls 2a, 2b and each of the side walls 2a, 2b is rectangular in shape with one corner chamfered at the bottom, so that when the sides 1, 2a, 2b are joined together their upper edges are at the same height forming a C-shaped body, and between the lower edge of the back wall 1 and the rear slanting edges of the side walls 2a, 2b a free space la is formed, while straight sections of the edges of the lower walls 2a, 2b are transversely connected to the base 4, and furthermore at least one upper mounting element 5a or lower mounting element 5b is transversely fixed on the outer side of therear wall 1, moreover, in the upper part of the body there is mounted a tilted flap 3, the outer edges of which overlap the body to form a rain cover of the display stand, and in the lower part of the display stand there is situated a rain cover consisting of side guards 2c, attached longitudinally to each edge of the vertical side wall 2, 2b, which, the guards, are surmounted by a canopy 6, situated transversely to the edge of the vertical side wall 2a, 2b, in the upper part and by a tray 4a in the lower part, which is fixed to a base 4 in the front part of the display stand, with the free edges of the side guards 2c turned outwards and the free edge of the canopy 6 turned upwards and acting as a stopper blocking the protrusion of the goods on display, while in the front part of the rack to the edges of the vertical side walls 2a, 2b, along the entire length above the side guards 2c, there are slats 8a, 8b attached to act as guides in which the transparent front panel 9 is fitted, and moreover, in the interior of the display stand, there are guides 10 longitudinally attached along the entire length of the display stand, the arrangement of which is adapted to the size of the packaging of the goods on display, wherein the guides 10 form channels enabling the placement of the goods in individual stacks, where the goods slide by gravity towards the base 4, with all elements of the rack made of water-resistant material.

[0008] Preferably, the gravity display stand according to the solution has at least one ventilation hole 7 positioned in the upper part of the rear wall 1, above the mounting element 5a and below the rear edge of the tilted flap 3. On the other hand, the tray 4a is inclined downwards with respect to the base (4) of the display unit so that water collecting on the tray 4a can drain. In one variant of the solution, the base 4 has at least one drainage hole 11, which also acts as a ventilation hole. In this way, the design of the display stand ensures that any moisture that could possibly linger on the base 4 or condense inside the display can be removed.

[0009] Preferably, the free space la is blinded to limit the contact of the displayed goods with the outside environment.

[0010] Preferably, the front cover 9 is made of Plexiglas, also known as Plexi or acrylic glass. In contrast, the free outer edges of the side guards 2c and the free edge of the canopy 6 are rounded. This ensures the safety of display users or customers from accidentally snagging on edges protruding outside the body of the display stand or injuring themselves during possible damage to the front cover 9. In addition, Plexiglas is a highly weather-resistant material and provides good visibility of the displayed goods for the customer.

[0011] The structure of the gravity display stand, including the back wall 1 and side walls 2a, 2b, flap 3, base 4, tray 4a, mounting elements 5a, 5b, canopy 6, slats 8a, 8b and guides 10, is preferably made of corrosion-protected and powder-coated steel, which makes the display stand weatherproof and also durable and resistant to damage.

[0012] The design of the gravity display stand allows it to be expanded by arranging rows of guides 10 to form separate channels for the goods on display. This makes it possible to make a display stand that is tailored to the size of the goods on display. Preferably, the display stand may have 3 or 4 rows of guides (10) which form 2 or 3 separate channels for the goods on display, respectively.

[0013] Mounting elements 5a, 5b are a perforated flat bar and / or profile with threaded holes so that the feeder can be fixed to a wall or to the leg of a metal rack or to a wooden pole. Due to the fact that the structural solution of the gravity display stand according to the utility model is distinguished by the easy fabrication of the component parts and assembly limited to the simplest steps. In addition, the display stand is an aesthetically pleasing and durable structure, which can be fixed either outside or inside the shop, e.g. in a DIY store where part of the sales are conducted outdoors.

[0014] The gravity display stand is designed for displaying pre-packed goods, for example steel screws, which are sensitive to moisture and could corrode when displayed in an open shop area. This is why the gravity display stand is particularly suitable for displaying goods in DIY stores selling in the garden area outside the building.Brief Description of DrawingsFig.l

[0017] The gravity display stand according to the utility model has a prism-shaped supporting structure, which consists of a rear wall 1 having a rectangular shape and side walls 2a, 2b with one corner chamfered together by their longer edges, so that the width of the lower transverse edges of the side walls 2a, 2b is less than the top transverse edges, when joining the side walls 1, 2a, 2b their top edges are at the same height forming a C-shaped body, and between the bottom edge of the rear wall 1 and the rear oblique edges of the side walls 2a, 2b a free space la is formed, which is plugged to form a bend allowing the goods on display to slide forward, while the narrower sections of the lower edges of the side walls 2a, 2b are connected transversely to the base 4, and furthermore on the outer side of the rear wall 1 there are transversely attached upper mounting elements 5a and lower mounting elements 5b, moreover, in the upper part of the body there is a tilted flap 3, the outer edges of which overlap the body, forming at the same time an upper rain cover of the display stand, and in the lower front part of the rack there is an open part, from which the goods ondisplay are taken, the open part, which accounts for 1 / 5 of the height of the rack, is provided with a rain cover consisting of side guards 2c fixed longitudinally to each edge of the vertical side wall 2a, 2b, which are surmounted by, situated transversely to the edge of the vertical side wall 2a, 2b, a canopy 6 in the upper part and the tray 4a in the lower part, which is fixed to the base 4, while the free edges of the side guards 2c are turned outwards and rounded, and the free edge of the canopy 6 is turned upwards and rounded, playing the role of a stopper blocking the protrusion of the displayed goods outside the shelf or their falling out, while in the front part of the display stand, to the edges of the vertical side walls 2a, 2b, on the whole length above the side guards 2c, there are fixed slats 8a, 8b acting as guides, in which a front cover 9 made of Plexiglas is fixed, with the height of the front panel being lower than the height of the back panel and, moreover, inside the display there are fixed longitudinally on the whole length of the display the guides 10, the arrangement of which is adapted to the size of the packaging of the goods on display, so that the guides 10 form channels, the edges of which enable individual vertical stacks of goods to be formed, allowing them to move downwards towards the base 4 by gravity. All components of the display stand, apart from the front cover 9, are made of powder-coated stainless steel.

[0018] A water resistance test was carried out by pouring the display stand from above and from the side with a watering can that simulated rainfall. A bucket was placed under the display stand to collect water. It was then verified that the amount of water poured from the watering can was the same as the amount of water collected in the bucket. A visual assessment of the packagings showed that they remained dry after the test.

[0019] The design of the gravity display stand is easily scaled, so it can be adapted to the dimensions of the merchandise on display, for example, the display could be 75.6cm high x 12.3cm wide x 15cm deep and have three guides 10, spaced 4cm apart and 1cm from the side walls, which form two channels. Six packs of metal screws enclosed in plastic boxes were placed in each channel.

[0020] In further variants of the solution, the dimensions of the display stand can be increased, for example height up to 100 cm, width up to 20 cm and depth up to 30 cm, but the dimensions given are not a limitation of the utility model.Reference Signs List
