Abstract
Description
[0001]PRACTICE TOOL FOR BRASS MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS Description Object of the invention The object of the present invention, as the title of the invention establishes, is a practice tool for brass musical instruments, which allows the user to exercise the mouth muscles. This is an innovation that, within the current techniques, provides advantages that were previously unknown. The present invention is characterized by the special functional and constructive characteristics of the elements that form part of the device such that all of them contribute to the achievement of a practice tool for brass musical instruments, designed with the purpose of providing musicians with an effective way to strengthen and tone their facial muscles, as well as improve their breathing capacity and air control.Technical Sector Therefore, the present invention falls within the scope of musical instrument accessories, and in particular among practice tools for brass instruments. Background of the Invention Brass instrument players face a unique challenge in their training: mouth muscles and air control. These aspects are fundamental to optimal use of their instrument and achieving a quality sound. However, developing these skills can be challenging and require specific training. Mouth muscles are crucial for brass instrument players, as they allow them to control their embouchure and produce a clear and consistent sound. The facial muscles, particularly the orbicularis oris muscles, the buccinator muscle, and the levator labii superioris muscles, play a fundamental role in forming and maintaining proper embouchure. These muscles must be trained to develop strength, endurance, and flexibility, which will allow the musician to maintain good technique over long periods of playing. Air control is another crucial aspect of training for brass instrument players. The ability to regulate the pressure and velocity of the air emitted through the instrument is essential for achieving a consistent and expressive sound. The musician must be able to adjust the amount of air used to produce different dynamics and sound effects, which requires precise and consistent control.Despite the importance of these aspects, many brass instrument players face difficulties in effectively developing mouth muscles and air control. This may be due to a lack of awareness of the importance of these aspects, as well as the absence of specific and specialized training methods. As a reference to the current state of the art, it should be noted that, although various products for practicing with musical instruments are known, there is no known product that presents structural and constitutive technical characteristics equal to or similar to those presented by the invention claimed herein. Explanation of the invention The object of the invention is a practice tool for brass musical instruments designed for training and developing mouth muscles on brass musical instruments. The main purpose of this practice tool is to allow the user to apply pressure to the instrument while blowing, thereby improving their technique and musical performance. Specifically, what the invention proposes, as noted above, is a practice tool for brass musical instruments comprising a hollow cylindrical body open at both ends, including a detachable mouthpiece at one end and a detachable, sliding counterweight at the other. The user holds the tool with their lips, allowing pressure to be applied with their mouth while exhaling through it. The mouthpiece and body have a notch that complements each other, facilitating the user's grip with their mouth. Furthermore, the inner diameter of the mouthpiece can be varied to suit the user's needs, providing a personalized experience. As for the counterweight, it is attached to the body by means of a thread that allows its position to be adjusted along the outer contour of the body. In this way, the user can regulate the balance point of the implement according to their preferences and training needs. It is important to note that this device can be adapted to different brass musical instruments, since the mouthpieces can be of various sizes to fit the specifications of each instrument. Furthermore, the versatility of the device allows users to customize their training according to their goals and level of experience. Unless otherwise indicated, all technical and scientific elements used herein have the meaning commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this invention pertains. In the practice of the present invention, methods and materials similar or equivalent to those described herein can be used.Brief description of the drawings In order to complete the description being made and in order to assist in better understanding the features of the invention, this specification is accompanied, as an integral part thereof, by some figures in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented: Figure 1 is a perspective representation of the practice tool for brass musical instruments. Figure 2 is a sectional perspective representation of the practice tool for brass musical instruments. Figure 3 is an exploded perspective representation of the practice tool for brass musical instruments. Preferred embodiment of the invention In view of the figures, a preferred, although non-limiting, embodiment of the proposed invention is described below, which consists of a practice tool for brass musical instruments. As can be seen in the figures, the practice tool for brass musical instruments comprises a hollow cylindrical body (1) open at both ends, which comprises a separable mouthpiece (2) at one end. While at the other end the body (1) comprises a separable counterweight (4) that slides on the outer contour (5) of the body (1) itself. On the other hand, at the junction between the body (1) and the mouthpiece (2), on their outer part, the body (1) and the mouthpiece (2) comprise a notch (3) that complements each other. Depending on the embodiment, the counterweight (4) is joined to the body by means of joining means; these may consist of a thread (4.1) machined in the inner hollow of the counterweight (4) that fits exactly into a thread (5.1) located on the outer contour (5) of the body (1). The length of the thread (5.1) is considerably greater than the length of the thread (4.1) which allows the counterweight (4) to slide along the thread (5.1) of the outer contour (5) of the body (1) and regulate the balance point. Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, as well as the manner of putting it into practice, it is not considered necessary to explain it further so that any expert in the field may understand its scope and the advantages derived from it, noting that, within its essence, it may be put into practice in other embodiments that differ in detail from that indicated by way of example, and to which it will also achieve the protection that is sought as long as its fundamental principle is not altered, changed or modified.
