[0022]

[0023] FIG1 is a schematic structural diagram of a hard disk tray provided by an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG1 , the hard disk tray may include: a tray body 10, and a monitoring device 20 and an isolation device 30 mounted on the tray body 10.

[0023]

[0024] The bracket body 10 includes a hard drive slot for accommodating and securing a hard drive 101. As shown in FIG1 , the hard drive slot is formed by a top plate 102, a bottom plate 103, and a base plate 104. One end of the top plate 102 and one end of the bottom plate 103 are secured together by the base plate 104. The other ends of the top plate 102 and the other ends of the bottom plate 103 form an opening 105, forming a horizontally U-shaped hard drive slot. As shown in FIG1 , the hard drive 101 can be installed in the hard drive slot using screws. When the hard drive 101 is connected to a target device via the hard drive bracket, the metal contacts 106 of the hard drive 101 are electrically connected to the physical interface of the target device through the opening 105 of the hard drive slot. The target device can be a laptop computer, a desktop computer host, or a server device, etc., without limitation in this embodiment.

[0024]

[0025] The monitoring device 20 includes at least one sensor. Each sensor corresponds to one monitoring dimension. For example, the at least one sensor may include at least one of the following: a temperature sensor for monitoring the hard disk, a humidity sensor for monitoring the hard disk's humidity, a smoke sensor for monitoring the hard disk for smoke and fire, and a visual sensor. FIG1 illustrates the temperature sensor 201 and the smoke sensor 203. It should be understood that in other embodiments, the monitoring device 20 may also include other types of sensors, which are not shown in the figure.

[0025]

[0026] As shown in FIG1 , the monitoring device 20 further includes: a control component 202 connected to at least one sensor. The at least one sensor is configured to monitor the hard disk 101 from at least one monitoring dimension when the hard disk 101 is installed in the hard disk slot.

[0026]

[0027] The connection between the at least one sensor and the control component 202 may be a wired connection via a data cable or a wireless connection via wireless communication technology. The wireless communication technology may include at least one of Bluetooth technology, infrared technology, and UWB (Ultra Wide Band) technology, which is not limited in this embodiment.

[0027]

[0028] In some embodiments, monitoring device 20 may include a power supply assembly; the power supply assembly may include a battery pack and / or a power cord. The battery pack is connected to at least one sensor and control assembly 202 to provide power. One end of the power cord is connected to the at least one sensor and control assembly 202, and the other end is provided with a charging port compatible with the power port of a target device, for drawing power from the target device through the charging port. Monitoring device 20 may draw power from the server backplane to which the hard drive belongs, or may be powered by a battery pack, although this embodiment is not limiting.

[0028]

[0029] The control component 202 is configured to determine whether an abnormality exists in a hard drive slot based on monitoring data provided by at least one sensor. Optionally, the control component 202 may include an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a processor. The ADC is configured to convert the monitoring data provided by the at least one sensor from an analog signal to a digital signal, thereby facilitating the processor to perform digital signal processing operations.

[0029]

[0030] A processor is a circuit capable of processing signals. In one implementation, the processor may be a circuit capable of reading and executing instructions, such as a central processing unit (CPU), a microcontroller unit (MCU), a graphics processing unit (GPU) (which can be understood as a type of microprocessor), or a digital signal processor (DSP). In another implementation, the processor may implement certain functions through the logical relationships of hardware circuits, where the logical relationships of the hardware circuits are fixed or reconfigurable. For example, the processor may be a hardware circuit implemented as an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) or a programmable logic device (PLD), such as a field programmable gate array (FPGA). When the processor is implemented as an MCU, the control component 202 may further include a clock source device and a memory device (e.g., Flash memory).

[0030]

[0031] The following will exemplify an optional implementation of the abnormality determination operation performed by the control component 202 in conjunction with some sensors.

[0031]

[0032] In some optional embodiments, the monitoring device 20 includes a temperature sensor 201 as shown in FIG1 . The temperature sensor 201 is disposed between the inner housing of the motherboard 104 and the outer housing of the hard disk 101. The temperature sensor is configured to monitor the temperature of the hard disk 101 and provide the monitored temperature data to the control component 202. The control component 202 can determine whether an abnormality exists in the hard disk slot based on the temperature data provided by the temperature sensor 201.

[0032]

[0033] Optionally, in control component 202, an analog-to-digital converter may be used to perform analog-to-digital conversion on the temperature monitoring data to obtain a temperature value corresponding to the temperature monitoring data. A processor in control component 202 may determine whether the temperature value is greater than a preset temperature threshold. If so, the processor may determine that an abnormality has occurred in the hard drive slot. The abnormality may be caused by, for example, the hard drive operating time being too long, a hard drive fire, or a malfunction in the hard drive cooling system.

[0033]

[0034] In other optional embodiments, the at least one sensor includes a smoke sensor 203 as shown in FIG1 . As shown in FIG1 , the outer plate 104 of the bracket body 10 is provided with an air duct opening 107. The smoke sensor 203 is installed between the inner edge of the outer plate 104 and the outer edge of the hard drive, at a position corresponding to the air duct opening. The smoke sensor 203 is used to monitor smoke data in the hard drive slot and provide the monitored smoke data to the control component 202. The control component 202 can determine whether there is an abnormality in the hard drive slot based on the smoke data provided by the smoke sensor 203.

[0035] Optionally, in control component 202, an analog-to-digital converter may be used to perform analog-to-digital conversion on the smoke monitoring data to obtain a smoke concentration value corresponding to the smoke monitoring data. A processor in control component 202 may determine whether the smoke concentration value exceeds a preset smoke concentration threshold. If so, the processor may determine that an abnormality has occurred in the hard drive slot.

[0034]

[0036] In some other optional embodiments, the at least one sensor includes the temperature sensor 201 and the smoke sensor 203 shown in FIG1 . The control component 202 can determine whether there is an abnormality in the hard disk slot based on the temperature monitoring data provided by the temperature sensor 201 and the smoke monitoring data provided by the smoke sensor 203.

[0035]

[0037] Optionally, the control component 202 may use an analog-to-digital converter to perform analog-to-digital conversion on the temperature monitoring data and the smoke monitoring data, respectively obtaining a temperature value corresponding to the temperature monitoring data and a smoke concentration value corresponding to the smoke monitoring data. The processor in the control component 202 may determine whether the temperature value is greater than a preset temperature threshold and whether the smoke concentration value is greater than a preset smoke concentration threshold. If the temperature value is greater than the preset temperature threshold and the smoke concentration value is greater than the preset smoke concentration threshold, the processor may determine that an abnormality has occurred in the hard drive slot.

[0036]

[0038] When the control component 202 determines that an abnormality exists in the hard disk slot based on the above embodiment, it can issue an isolation trigger instruction.

[0037]

[0039] The isolation device 30 is disposed on the outer wall 1 of the motherboard 104 and is electrically connected to the control component 202. When receiving an isolation trigger command, the isolation device 30 moves away from the opening 105 to disconnect the metal contacts of the hard disk 101 from the target device, thereby reducing the impact on the physical security of the target device.

[0038]

[0040] In some optional embodiments, as shown in FIG. 2 , the isolation device 30 may include: a switch component 301 electrically connected to the control component 202 and a rebound component 302 electrically connected to the switch component.

[0039]

[0041] The switch assembly 301 is configured to, in response to the isolation trigger instruction, send an eject instruction to the rebound assembly 302. Upon receiving the eject instruction, the rebound assembly 302 is configured to eject away from the opening 105, thereby utilizing the inertia of the ejection to disconnect the metal contacts of the hard disk 101 from the target device.

[0040]

[0042] In some optional embodiments, the rebound assembly 302 includes: a magnetic switch assembly 3021, a spring compressor 3022 and a spring member 3023.

[0041]

[0043] The magnetic switch assembly 3021 is mounted on the outer plate 104. Alternatively, the magnetic switch assembly 3021 can be mounted inside or outside the outer plate 104. The magnetic switch assembly is used to generate a changing magnetic field by changing the current flowing therethrough, thereby applying different forces to the spring compressor 3022.

[0042]

[0044] One end of the spring member 3023 can be mounted on the outer edge of the chassis 104, and the other end is configured to be contacted by the spring compressor 3022. When the magnetic switch assembly 3021 is in the on state, a strong suction force is applied to the spring compressor 3022, thereby causing the spring compressor 3022 to compress toward the interior of the chassis 104, causing the spring member 3023 to enter a force storage state. When the magnetic switch assembly 3021 receives an eject command, it releases the suction force on the spring compressor 3022, causing the spring member 3023 to eject. The moment the spring member 3023 ejects, it drives the hard drive tray away from the opening 105, thereby disconnecting the electrical connection between the metal contacts of the hard drive 101 and the target device.

[0043]

[0045] In some optional embodiments, the spring compressor 3022 can be implemented as a cover corresponding to the base panel 104. As shown in Figure 2, one end of the cover is connected to the outer edge of the base panel 104 via the opening and closing member 108, and the spring member 3023 is installed between the outer edge of the base panel 104 and the inner edge of the cover. The opening and closing member 108 can be implemented as a small hinge or torsion spring, etc., and this embodiment is not limited thereto. Under the action of an external force, the other end of the cover approaches the magnetic switch assembly 3021 and connects to the magnetic switch assembly 3021, compressing the spring member 3023 into a charged state. For example, after connecting a hard drive mounted in a bracket to a server, the installer can manually press the cover, causing it to be secured by the suction force generated by the magnetic switch assembly 3021, thereby causing the spring member 3023 to enter a charged state. Upon receiving an eject command, the magnetic switch assembly 3021 releases the suction force on the other end of the cover, causing the cover to open, allowing the spring member 3023 to eject.

[0044]

[0046] Optionally, the spring member 3023 can be mounted on the outer plate 104 at an end away from the connection between the outer plate 104 and the cover plate. When the cover plate is in the open state, the further away the position on the cover plate is from the connection, the greater the opening distance. Consequently, the opened cover plate can prevent the spring member 3023 from being ejected, or can prevent the spring member 3023 from being ejected as little as possible. This allows the spring member 3023 to fully rebound to its free length, ensuring sufficient inertia.

[0045]

[0047] Based on the above structure, automatic monitoring of the hard drive can be achieved through at least one sensor in the monitoring device. When a hard drive anomaly is detected, the isolation device can be controlled to disconnect the hard drive from the target device. Furthermore, when a hard drive anomaly occurs, the hard drive can be physically isolated from the connected target device (e.g., a server), reducing the impact of the hard drive anomaly on the hardware security of the target device and improving the physical security of the target device.

[0046]

[0048] Some optional embodiments further include at least one multimedia component electrically connected to the control component 202. The control component 202 is configured to obtain monitoring results based on monitoring data provided by at least one sensor and control the at least one multimedia component to output the monitoring results. Optionally, the multimedia component may include a display component and / or a playback component.

[0047]

[0049] The display component can be implemented as an indicator light or a display. The indicator light can be implemented as a digital tube or an LED (Light Emitting Diode). The display can be an LED display or an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display).

[0048] Crystal Display (LCD). The player can be implemented as a voice player or a buzzer.

[0049]

[0050] Optionally, the control component 202 can send the acquired monitoring results to a display for display, thereby intuitively presenting the monitoring results to the user. For example, the control component 202 can send the acquired temperature value and / or smoke concentration value to the display in real time for display. Alternatively, the control component 202 can control the LED light to display a specific color (e.g., red) when the temperature value exceeds a preset temperature threshold; or control the LED light to display a specific color when the smoke concentration value exceeds a preset smoke concentration threshold. Optionally, the control component 202 can control the playback of a player based on the acquired monitoring results. For example, the control component 202 can broadcast the acquired temperature value and / or smoke concentration value through a voice player according to a set broadcast cycle. For another example, the control component 202 can control a buzzer to sound when the temperature value exceeds a preset temperature threshold; or control the buzzer to sound when the smoke concentration value exceeds a preset smoke concentration threshold.

[0050]

[0051] Based on this implementation, the monitoring result of the hard disk can be intuitively provided to the user, thereby facilitating the user to intuitively perceive the safety status of the hard disk in the bracket.

[0051]

Persons skilled in the art will readily appreciate that various modifications and variations are possible with the present disclosure. Any modifications, equivalent substitutions, or improvements made within the spirit and principles of the present disclosure are intended to be encompassed by the claims of the present disclosure.
