[0031] The present invention is a bell for a bent handle bicycle, designed to be mounted on a bent handle of a bent handle bicycle, so that the rider can directly operate the bell to produce a bell sound, no matter whether the rider holds the bent handle in an upper holding position or a lower holding position. In this specification, all examples are described with a lower bent handle, but the invention can also be applied to an upper bent handle or other special form of handle with two holding positions. Furthermore, the invention can cover mechanical bell devices commonly seen on the market, which trigger a "shell-shaped", "strip-shaped", "disc-shaped", "pot-shaped" or "tube-shaped" metal sound producing body by a hammer, and electronic bell devices which trigger a sound producing circuit by a contact of an electric switch, because these bell devices must all include an operating surface, an actuator and a trigger in a linked relationship to jointly complete the operation and sound producing functions of the bell. The following are three linked steps of the operation and sound producing process of the bell device covered by the invention: (1) an external operating force is applied to an operating surface and transmitted to an actuator linked with the operating surface, so that the actuator produces a deformation or displacement; (2) after the external operating force disappears, the actuator produces an action to return to the original position and state, and simultaneously links a trigger to trigger a sound producing body to produce a bell sound; (3) the operating surface, the actuator, the trigger and the sound producing body all return to the original position and state; wherein the "actuator" can be an elastic body such as a spring, silica gel, rubber or plastic, or other objects that can produce a deformation or displacement when receiving an external force and immediately return to the original position and state after the external force disappears. In all examples below, a spring is used as the actuator. The features of the invention provide a directly operable operating surface for the hand operation in the upper holding position (hereinafter referred to as the first holding position) and the lower holding position (hereinafter referred to as the second holding position) of a bent handle. When the two operating surfaces respectively receive an external operating force, they can respectively drive an actuator and a trigger linked with themselves to trigger a sound producing body to produce a bell sound. According to the different operation and sound producing ways, four main types can be distinguished: (1) pressing type operation and triggering a metal sound producing body to produce a sound; (2) rotating type operation and triggering a metal sound producing body to produce a sound; (3) pressing type operation and triggering an electronic sound producing body to produce a sound; (4) rotating type operation and triggering an electronic sound producing body to produce a sound.

[0032] Firstly, the first embodiment of the bell for a bicycle with a bent handlebar is described. Please refer to FIG. 1, FIG. 2 and FIG. 3. The bell for a bicycle with a bent handlebar is a push-type operating bell device with a metallic sound producing body. The bell device includes a fixing seat 10 and a mechanical sound producing device 20. The fixing seat 10 includes a handlebar connecting member 11 which can be connected to a bent handlebar 1 and a sound producing device connecting member 12 which can be connected to the mechanical sound producing device 20. The handlebar connecting member 11 includes a clamping member and is connected to the bent handlebar 1 by a clamping force generated by the clamping member. The mechanical sound producing device 20 includes a sound producing module 21, a first outer hammer member 22 and a second outer hammer member 26. The sound producing module 21 shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 is a "thin shell" metallic sound producing body. The first outer hammer member 22 includes a first operating surface 23, a first actuating member 24 and a first triggering member 25 which are connected to each other. The second outer hammer member 26 includes a second operating surface 27, a second actuating member 28 and a second triggering member 29 which are connected to each other. Thus, the hands held on the first grip position 2 and the second grip position 3 of the bent handlebar 1 can apply an external operating force to the two operating surfaces 23 and 27 respectively and make the two actuating members 24 and 28 deformed respectively. When the external operating force disappears, the two actuating members 24 and 28 will make the two triggering members 25 and 29 hit the sound producing module 21 respectively to produce a warning bell sound. FIG. 3 shows that the sound producing module 21 of the embodiment can be replaced by another "long strip" metallic sound producing body to provide the same sound producing function.

[0033] Referring to Figs. 4 and 5, the second embodiment of the present application is a rotating operation type bicycle bell device with a rotating operation and a metal sound emitting body, which comprises a fixed seat 10 and a rotating operation type bicycle bell device 30, wherein the fixed seat 10 comprises a handlebar connecting member 11 connectable to a bent handlebar 1 and a sound emitting device connecting member 12 connectable to the rotating operation type bicycle bell device 30, the rotating operation type bicycle bell device 30 comprises a rotating operation member 31, a sound emitting module 40, a first inner hammer member 32 and a second inner hammer member 36, the sound emitting module 40 is a "thin shell" metal sound emitting body, the first inner hammer member 32 comprises a first trigger member 34 and a first actuating member 35 in a linkage relationship, the second inner hammer member 36 comprises a second trigger member 38 and a second actuating member 39 in a linkage relationship, the rotating operation member 31 is pivotally connected to the sound emitting device connecting member 12 and coaxially has a plurality of convex portions 41 on one surface thereof, and has a first operation surface 33 and a second operation surface 37 on two different surfaces thereof, respectively, so that the hands held on the first grip position 2 and the second grip position 3 of the bent handlebar 1 can apply forces to the two operation surfaces 33 and 37, respectively, to drive the rotating operation member 31 to produce a rotating action and link the plurality of convex portions 41 to rotate, and the plurality of convex portions 41 can respectively push the two trigger members 34 and 38 and the two actuating members 35 and 39 to move inwardly together and then rebound outwardly to hit the sound emitting module 40 to emit an alarm bell sound.

[0034] Referring to Figs. 6 and 7, a third embodiment of the present application is illustrated. The bell device is a push-type operation and is sounded by an electronic sounder. The bell device includes a fixed seat 10 and an electronic sounder 50. The fixed seat 10 includes a handlebar coupling member 11 which can be coupled to a bent handlebar 1 and a sounder coupling member 12 which can be coupled to the sounder 50. The electronic sounder 50 includes a sound-transmitting shell 45, a sounder circuit 46, a first electric switch 52 and a second electric switch 56. The first electric switch 52 includes a first operation surface 53, a first trigger member 54 (which is an electric contact) and a first actuating member 55 in a linked relationship. The second electric switch 56 includes a second operation surface 57, a second trigger member 58 (which is an electric contact) and a second actuating member 59 in a linked relationship. The sound-transmitting shell 45 is configured to accommodate the sounder circuit 46 in a space and is coupled to the sounder coupling member 12 (if applied to an electric bicycle, the sound-transmitting shell 45 and the sounder circuit 46 can be arranged elsewhere). The two electric switches 52 and 56 are arranged at two different positions so that the hands holding the first grip position 2 and the second grip position 3 of the bent handlebar 1 can operate the two operation surfaces 53 and 57, respectively. The sounder circuit 46 is electrically connected to the two trigger members 54 and 58 (which are electric contacts) via a cable set 9 so that when the two operation surfaces 53 and 57 receive an external operating force, the two trigger members 54 and 58 can transmit an electric signal to the sounder circuit 46, respectively, so that the sounder circuit 46 sounds an alarm bell.

[0035] Referring to Figs. 8 and 9, a fourth embodiment of the present application is illustrated. Most of the components and their symbols in the third embodiment are used in the fourth embodiment. However, the sounder 50 in the third embodiment further includes a rotary operation member 81 and two new operation surfaces are arranged to form a linked relationship with the first electric switch 52 or the second electric switch 56. Thus, the bell device is converted to a rotary-type operation and is sounded by an electronic sounder. In the fourth embodiment, the first electric switch 52 is selected to be implemented. Accordingly, the rotary operation member 81 is pivoted to the sounder coupling member 12. A plurality of convex portions 82 are coaxially arranged on one surface of the rotary operation member 81. A first operation surface 88 and a second operation surface 89 are arranged on two different surfaces of the rotary operation member 81, respectively. Thus, the hands holding the first grip position 2 and the second grip position 3 of the bent handlebar 1 can apply a force to the two operation surfaces 88 and 89, respectively, and drive the rotary operation member 81 to produce a rotary motion. The first electric switch 52 is arranged at a position of the sound-transmitting shell 45 so that when the plurality of convex portions 82 rotate with the rotary operation member 81, the plurality of convex portions 82 can slide and press the first electric switch 52, respectively, and the first electric switch 52 can transmit an electric signal to the sounder circuit 46, so that the sounder circuit 46 sounds an alarm bell.

The warning light control module 75 comprises a housing 76, a warning light control circuit 77, a first electrical switch 78, and a second electrical switch 79. The housing 76 is configured to accommodate the warning light control circuit 77 and is coupled to the sound device coupling member 12 (if applied to an electric bicycle, the housing 76 and the warning light control circuit 77 can be disposed elsewhere). The two electrical switches 78 and 79 are disposed at two different positions that can be operated by hands holding the first grip position 2 and the second grip position 3 of the curved handlebar 1, respectively. The warning light control circuit 77 is electrically connected to the two electrical switches 78 and 79 and the warning light display module 70 via a cable set 9, so that hands holding the first grip position 2 and the second grip position 3 of the curved handlebar 1 can operate the two electrical switches 78 and 79, respectively, to transmit an electrical signal to the warning light control circuit 77, so that the warning light control circuit 77 controls the warning light display module 70 to emit a warning light signal. In addition, in practical applications, the rearview mirror 60 can be deleted, and only the components of the warning light control display function can be retained.

[0038] Referring to Fig. 14, a seventh embodiment of the present application is illustrated. The seventh embodiment has the same structure as the first embodiment, but the handlebar coupling member 11 comprises a strap seat 91 and a strap 92, and the strap 92 is wrapped around the curved handlebar 1 to generate a tightening force to couple the curved handlebar 1.
