[0045] FIG 1 illustrates an example of a network 100 comprising a plurality of network nodes including terminal nodes 110, access nodes 120 and one or more core nodes 129. The terminal nodes 110 and access nodes 120 communicate with each other. The one or more core nodes 129 communicate with the access nodes 120.

[0046] The network 100 is in this example a radio telecommunications network, in which at least some of the terminal nodes 110 and access nodes 120 communicate with each other using transmission / reception of radio waves / signals.

[0047] The one or more core nodes 129 may, in some examples, communicate with each other. The one or more access nodes 120 may, in some examples, communicate with each other.

[0048] The network 100 may be a cellular network comprising a plurality of cells 122 each served by an access node 120. In this example, the interface between the terminal nodes 110 and an access node 120 defining a cell 122 is a wireless interface 124.

[0049] The access node 120 is a cellular radio transceiver. The terminal nodes 110 are cellular radio transceivers.

[0050] In the example illustrated the cellular network 100 is a third generation Partnership Project (3GPP) network in which the terminal nodes 110 are user equipment (UE), see, for example, FIG. 2, and the access nodes 120 are base stations.

[0051] In examples the network 100 is an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access network (E-UTRAN). The E-UTRAN consists of E-UTRAN NodeBs (eNBs) 120, providing the E- UTRA user plane and control plane (RRC) protocol terminations towards the UE. The eNBs 120 are interconnected with each other by means of an X2 interface 126. The eNBs are also connected by means of the S1 interface 128 to the Mobility Management Entity (MME) 129.

[0052] In other examples the network 100 is a Next Generation (or New Radio, NR) Radio Access network (NG-RAN). For example, block 202 is performed by the TRP 182A (transmitting) and the terminal node 110 (receiving). For example, block 204 is performed by the terminal node 110.

[0076] As used herein, the term ‘block’ is intended to refer to an action of actions indicated in a FIG. For example, the term ‘block’ can refer to the action of transmitting / receiving indicated by reference numeral 202 in FIG. 2, and can also refer to the action of determining indicated by reference numeral 206 and so on. At block 202, method 200 comprises, from the point of view of the TRP 128A, transmitting a plurality of candidate entity configurations 168 and associated measurement reporting configurations 170, wherein at least one of the plurality of candidate entity configurations 168 comprises an associated event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 comprising at least one associated condition 172.

For example, the at least one second measurement 184 can comprise any suitable measurement to enable determining whether at least one LTM event has occurred.

[0110] In examples, block 206 comprises performing at least one second measurement 184 of at least one signal 188 received from at least one TRP 182. In the example of FIG. 2, the terminal node 110 can measure at least one signal 188 received from the three TRPs 182A, 182B, 182C.

[0111] In examples, block 206 comprises performing at least one second measurement 184 of at least one RS transmitted by at least one TRP 182. For example, in the illustrated example the terminal node can measure RSs from the TRPs 182A, 182B, 182C, for example at least one of synchronization signal block (SSB) and channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS).

[0112] Any suitable measurement or measurements 184 can be used. For example, reference signal received power (RSRP), reference signal received quality (RSRQ), signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) and so on.

[0113] In some examples, performing at least one second measurement comprises at least one of the following: performing at least one L1 measurement, or performing at least one L3 measurement.

[0114] In examples, there is at least some overlap between the at least one first measurement 174 and the at least one second measurement 184. In some examples, at least one first measurement 174 can also be used as at least one second measurement 184, and / or at least one second measurement 184 can also be used as at least one first measurement 174.

[0115] Accordingly, in examples, at least one measurement performed at block 204 can be used at block 206 and / or at least one measurement performed at block 206 can be used at block 204. In examples, at least one first measurement 174 can be at least one second measurement 184 and / or at least one second measurement 184 can be at least one first measurement 174.

[0116] In examples, blocks in FIG. 2 can be performed in any suitable order. For example, blocks 204 and 206 can be performed in any suitable order, including at least partially overlapping. Accordingly, blocks 204 and 206 can be performed at least partially contemporaneously.

[0117] The terms at least one ‘first’ and at least one ‘second’ measurements are not intended to imply any temporal order or necessarily distinct measurements, but have been used for purposes of clarity.

[0118] In some examples, block 206 comprises determining whether at least one action associated with at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration has occurred while at least one of the following: at least one condition based, at least in part, on transmission configuration indicator, TCI, state list is fulfilled; or at least one condition based, at least in part, on timing advance, TA, acquisition is fulfilled.

[0119] In some examples, block 206 comprises determining whether at least one action associated with at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration has occurred while at least one of the following: there is at least one transmission configuration indicator, TCI, associated with the candidate entity associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration in the active TCI state list; the candidate entity associated with the first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration is in the active TCI state list; timing advance, TA, acquisition has been performed at least once for the candidate entity associated with the at least one first event-triggered reporting configuration; early Abstract Syntax Notation One, ASN.1 , decoding has been performed for the candidate entity associated with the at least one first event-triggered reporting condition; or validity check has been performed for the candidate entity associated with the at least one first event-triggered reporting configuration; Accordingly, in some examples, method 200 proceeds to block 208 when block 206 is performed under certain circumstances.

[0120] In some examples, the terminal node 110 determines whether the at least one condition 172 associated with each of the configured event-triggered measurement reporting configurations 170 has been fulfilled. For example, the terminal node 110 evaluates the at least one condition 172 associated with each of the configured event-triggered measurement reporting configurations 170 to determine whether the condition or conditions 170 associated with any of the configured event-triggered measurement reporting configurations 170 has been fulfilled.

[0121] At block 208, method 200 comprises in response to determining that the at least one action 196 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 has occurred, decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one measurement 176 related to at least one candidate entity configuration 168 other than the candidate entity configuration 168 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170, until at least one resumption condition 178 is fulfilled.

[0122] Consequently, FIG. 2 illustrates a method 200 comprising: receiving a plurality of candidate entity configurations 168 and associated measurement reporting configurations 170, wherein at least one of the plurality of candidate entity configurations 168 comprises an associated event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 comprising at least one associated condition 172; performing at least one first measurement 174 for reporting; determining whether the at least one action 196 associated with at least one first event- triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 has occurred; and in response to determining that the at least action 196 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 has occurred, decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one measurement 176 related to at least one of the measurement reporting configurations 170 associated with at least one candidate entity configuration 168 other than the candidate entity configuration 168 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170, until at least one resumption condition 178 is fulfilled. As discussed above, in some examples, determining whether at least one action 196 associated with at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 has occurred comprises at least one of the following: determining whether the at least one condition 172 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration has been fulfilled; determining whether at least one measurement report 180 has been transmitted for the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 172; or determining whether an acknowledgment has been received for a measurement report 180 transmitted for the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 172.

[0123] In some examples, in response to transmitting at least one measurement report 180 for the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 172 the terminal node 110 reduces frequency, or stops, measurement(s) 176 related to the other measurement reporting configurations 170 until at least one resumption condition 178 is fulfilled.

[0124] In some examples, in response to receiving an acknowledgement for a transmitted at least one measurement report 180 for the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 172 the terminal node 110 reduces frequency, or stops, measurement(s) 176 related to the other measurement reporting configurations 170 until at least one resumption condition 178 is fulfilled.

[0125] In some examples, in response to an event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 being triggered (associated condition(s) fulfilled) the terminal node 110 reduces frequency, or stops, measurement(s) 176 related to other measurement reporting configurations 170 until at least one resumption condition 178 is fulfilled.

[0126] For example, in the example of FIG. 2, if the associated condition(s) for an event-triggered reporting configuration 170 associated with the candidate entity configuration 168 associated with TRP 182B is fulfilled, and / or if a measurement report 180 is transmitted, and / or if an acknowledgement is received for the measurement report 180, the terminal node 110 reduces temporal frequency of, or stops, measurement(s) 176 related to the measurement reporting configuration 170 associated with the candidate entity configuration 168 associated with TRP 182C. Accordingly, at block 208, in examples, the candidate entity configuration(s) 168 other than the candidate entity configuration 168 associated with the at least one first event- triggered measurement reporting condition 170 are candidate entity configuration(s) 168 that do not have associated event-triggered reporting configurations 170 or have associated event-triggered reporting configurations 170 for which the associated condition(s) 172 have not been fulfilled.

[0127] The at least one measurement 176 related to at least one of the measurement reporting configuration 170 associated with at least one candidate entity configuration 168 other than the candidate entity configuration 168 associated with the at least one first event- triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 can comprise any suitable measurement or measurements 176.

[0128] In examples, the at least one measurement 176 comprises at least one of at least one first measurement 174 or at least one second measurement 184. Accordingly, in examples, the at least one measurement 176 comprises at least one of: at least one measurement for reporting or at least one measurement for use in determining whether at least one condition 172 associated with at least one event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 has been fulfilled.

[0129] In examples, the at least one measurement 176 comprises at least one measurement described in relation to at least one of blocks 204 or 206.

[0130] For example, the at least one measurement 176 can comprise at least one of the following: at least one L1 measurement, or at least one L3 measurement.

[0131] In some examples, block 208 comprises decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one L3 measurement associated with other candidate entities than the candidate entity or entities associated with the at least one first event-triggered reporting configuration 170.

[0132] In some examples, block 208 comprises decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one L3 measurement associated with the entity or entities associated with the at least one first event-triggered reporting configuration 170. In examples, in response to triggering of an event-triggered reporting configuration 170 the terminal node 110 can reduce priority of performing other measurement(s) 176 until at least one resumption condition 178 is fulfilled.

[0133] In examples, the terminal node 110 reduces temporal frequency of, or stops, the at least one measurement 176 until at least one resumption condition 178 is fulfilled.

[0134] In examples, reducing temporal frequency of a measurement comprises reducing how often the measurement is made.

[0135] In some examples, decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one measurement 176 related to the at least one candidate entity configuration 168 other than the at least one candidate entity configuration 168 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 is based, at least in part, on the at least one action 196 that occurred.

[0136] In examples, which at least one measurement 176 is affected can be based, at least in part, on the at least one action 186 that occurred. For example, a first set of at least one measurement 176 can be affected if a first condition 172 is fulfilled and a second, different set of at least one measurement 176 can be affected if a second different condition 170 is fulfilled.

[0137] In examples, how much the at least one measurement 176 is affected can be based, at least in part, on the at least one action 196 that occurred. For example, how much the temporal frequency of at least one measurement 176 is decreased can be based, at least in part, on the at least one condition 172 that is fulfilled.

[0138] Decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, the at least one measurement 176 can be based, at least in part, on the event-triggered reporting configuration 170 that is triggered.

[0139] Decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, the at least one measurement 176 can based, at least in part, on the candidate entity associated with the event-triggered reporting configuration 170 that is triggered. In some examples, the at least one candidate entity in relation to which at least one measurement is decreased in frequency or stopped is determined based, at least in part, on at least one criterion.

[0140] Any suitable criterion or criteria can be used. For example, the at least one criterion can comprise at least one of the following: the type of associated reporting configuration 172, or at least one LTM event, or frequency range of the measured candidate cell or RS, or the type of the candidate cell (for example serving cell or neighbour cell).

[0141] In some examples, decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one measurement 176 comprises at least one of the following: decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one measurement 176 related to the candidate entities other than the candidate entity associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 and configured with any type of reporting configuration 170; decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one measurement 176 related to the candidate entities associated with event-triggered reporting configurations 170 for which the associated at least one condition 172 is not fulfilled; decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one measurement 176 related to the candidate entities other than the candidate entity associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 that do not have transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states on active TCI state list; or decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one measurement 176 related to the candidate entities other than the candidate entity associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 that are listed in the reference signal resource set for event evaluation.

[0142] In some examples, decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one measurement 176 comprises decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one measurement 176 related to the candidate entities other than the candidate entity associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 after expiry of at least one delay timer.

[0143] The delay timer can have any suitable duration. In examples the duration of the delay timer can be configured at the terminal node in at least one configuration message. In some examples, the duration of the delay timer can be configured at the terminal node

[0144] 110, for example, during manufacture and can be retrieved from at least one memory 134.

[0145] In examples, the delay timer is started in response to determining that the at least one action 196 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 occurred.

[0146] In examples, the at least one measurement 176 is decreased in temporal frequency, or stopped, until at least one resumption condition 178 is fulfilled. Any suitable resumption condition 178 can be used.

[0147] In some examples, the at least one resumption condition 178 comprises at least one of the following: at least one message is transmitted, at least one message is received, at least one condition based, at least in part, on TCI state list, at least one condition based, at least in part, on timing advance (TA) acquisition, or at least one network condition.

[0148] At least one network condition can comprise any suitable condition or conditions based, at least in part, on at least one of at least one action of at least one network entity, or a status of at least one network entity.

[0149] In some examples, the at least one resumption condition comprises at least one of the following: at least one measurement report 180 for the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 is transmitted; an acknowledgment, for example hybrid automatic repeat requestacknowledgement (HARQ-ACK), has been received for a measurement report 180 transmitted for the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170; the at least one condition 172 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 is no longer fulfilled; switch to a candidate entity;

[0150] TCI activation command is received; physical downlink control channel, PDCCH, order for early uplink synchronization is received; expiry of at least one resumption timer. In examples, the resumption condition 178 that at least one measurement report 180 for the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 is transmitted can be for any suitable number of measurement reports 180 to be transmitted.

[0151] In examples, the number of measurement reports to be transmitted is a configured number of times. For example, the number of times can be configured at the terminal node 110 using at least one configuration message.

[0152] In examples, TA acquisition can comprise at least one of terminal node based TA measurement of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), or PDCCH ordered physical random access channel (PRACH) transmission.

[0153] In examples, switch to a candidate entity can comprise switching to any suitable candidate entity. For example, a switch can be performed to a candidate entity associated with the at least one first event-triggered reporting configuration, or to a candidate entity that is not associated with the at least one first event-triggered reporting configuration 170.

[0154] In some examples, switch to a candidate entity can comprise a cell switch, for example LTM cell switch or L3 handover.

[0155] In examples, a switch to a candidate entity can be considered fulfilled upon cell switch medium access control control element (MAC-CE) being received and, in some examples, processed by the terminal node 110.

[0156] In examples, a switch to a candidate entity can be considered fulfilled when the terminal node 110 has performed random access channel (RACH) transmission or first uplink (UL) transmission to the entity associated with the at least one first event-triggered reporting configuration 170.

[0157] The at least one resumption timer can have any suitable duration configured in any suitable way. In examples the duration(s) of the at least one resumption timer can be configured at the terminal node in at least one configuration message. In some examples, the duration of the at least one timer can be configured at the terminal node 110, for example, during manufacture and can be retrieved from at least one memory 134. In examples, the at least one resumption timer is started in response to the at least one action 196 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 occurring.

[0158] For example, the at least one resumption timer can be started when the at least one condition 172 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 being fulfilled.

[0159] For example, the at least one resumption timer can be started after a delay following fulfillment of the at least one condition 172 associated with the at least one first event- triggered measurement reporting configuration 170. For example, after a delay of an L1 measurement period.

[0160] In some examples, the at least one resumption condition 178 is based, at least in part, on at least one of the following: candidate entity associated with the at least one first event- triggered measurement reporting configuration 170, event-triggered reporting configuration 170, or at least one associated condition 172.

[0161] For example, a first resumption condition 178 can be used for a first candidate entity, and a second, different resumption condition 178 can be used for a second, different candidate entity.

[0162] For example, a first resumption condition 178 can be used for a first event-triggered reporting configuration 170 being triggered, and a second, different resumption condition 178 can be used for a second, different event-triggered reporting condition 170 being triggered.

[0163] For example, a first resumption condition 178 can be used when a first associated condition 172 is fulfilled, and a second, different resumption condition 178 can be used when a second, different associated condition 172 is fulfilled.

[0164] In the example of FIG. 2, an event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 associated with TRP 182B has been triggered and the terminal node 110 has stopped performing measurements 176 in relation to TRPs 182A, 182C. This is illustrated in the example of FIG. 2 by the single arrow, at block 208, from the TRP 182B towards the terminal node 110 and no arrows from the other TRPs 182A, 182C towards the terminal node 110. It is to be noted that the TRPs 182A, 182C can still be transmitting signals 188, such as RSs, as indicated at block 206 but at block 208 the terminal node 110 is not performing measurements 176 in relation to TRPs 182A, 182C.

[0165] By way of further example, reference is made to the examples of FIGs 3A and 3B.

[0166] In the example of FIG. 3A, a timeline of events is illustrated with time increasing from left to right.

[0167] FIG. 3A illustrates an example of the behavior of a terminal node 110 in relation to five TRPS: a serving cell and four candidate cells. The different entities are in a column to the right of the FIG.

[0168] FIG. 3A illustrates when the terminal node 110 is performing measurements on the different cells over time. In the illustrated example, when a line extends from an entity in the horizontal direction, the terminal node 110 is performing measurements on the cell, and when no line is present the terminal node 110 is not performing measurements on the cell.

[0169] In the example of FIG. 3A, the condition for event-triggered reporting is met for candidate 2 at time 190. In the illustrated example, the action 196 that occurs is the at least one condition 172 being fulfilled.

[0170] Prior to time 190 the terminal node is performing measurements on all five of the cells. However, after time 190, the terminal node 110 stops measurements on candidate cells 1 , 3, and 4. Accordingly, there is no horizontal line adjacent cells 1 , 3, and 4 after time 190 in the example of FIG. 3A.

[0171] In the example of FIG. 3A, the terminal node 110 continues to perform measurements on the serving cell and candidate 2 after time 190, and at time 192 a measurement report in relation to candidate 2 is transmitted by the terminal node 110. In this example the measurement report comprises an L1 measurement report. However, in the example of FIG. 3A the resumption condition 178 is configured as cell switch, and therefore the terminal node 110 does not perform measurements on candidates 1, 3, and 4 after time 192.

[0172] At time 194, the terminal node 110 receives a cell switch command and perform cell switch to candidate 2. Once cell switch is completed, the resumption condition 178 is determined to be fulfilled and the terminal node 110 can resume measurements on candidates 1, 3, and 4 (not illustrated).

[0173] Accordingly, in the example of FIG. 3A the terminal node 110 stops L1 measurements on other cells until cell switch.

[0174] The example of FIG. 3B is similar to the example of FIG. 3A, however in the example of FIG. 3B the resumption condition 178 is transmission of an event triggered measurement report.

[0175] Therefore, in the example of FIG. 3B, the terminal node 110 resumes measurements on candidates 1, 3, and 4 after time 192.

[0176] In the example of FIG. 3B, the terminal node 110 stops L1 measurements on other cells until the event triggered report is sent and continues measuring other cells after this.

[0177] Referring again to the example of FIG. 2, at block 210 method 200 comprises in response to determining that the at least one condition 172 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 has been fulfilled, transmitting at least one measurement report 180 towards a TRP 182, such as an access node 120. In examples, the measurement report(s) 180 is transmitted towards a serving node.

[0178] In examples, any suitable measurement report 180 can be transmitted. In some examples, the at least one measurement report 180 comprises at least one L1 measurement report.

[0179] Examples of the disclosure are advantageous and / or provide technical benefits. For example, examples of the disclosure provide for a terminal node, such as a UE, to send a measurement report quickly following triggering of an event-triggered measurement reporting configuration.

[0180] For example, examples of the disclosure provide for efficient cell switch or beam switch.

[0181] For example, examples of the disclosure provide for reduced reporting delay at a terminal node.

[0182] For example, examples of the disclosure provide for UE powerto be saved because of reduced measurements.

[0183] FIG. 4 illustrates and example of a method 400.

[0184] Method 400 can be performed by any suitable apparatus comprising any suitable means for performing method 400, for example an apparatus as described in relation to FIG. 6A and / or 6B.

[0185] In examples, method 400 can be performed by a terminal node 110, such as a UE 186, or by at least one control device configured to control the functioning thereof.

[0186] At block 402, method 400 comprises receiving a plurality of candidate entity configurations 168 and associated measurement reporting configurations 170, wherein at least one of the plurality of candidate entity configurations 168 comprises an associated event- triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 comprising at least one associated condition 172.

[0187] At block 404, method 400 comprises performing at least one first measurement 174 for reporting.

[0188] At block 406, method 400 comprises determining whether the at least one action 196 associated with at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 has occurred.

[0189] At block 408, method 400 comprises in response to determining that the at least one action 196 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 has occurred, decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one measurement 176 related to at least one of the measurement reporting configurations 170 associated with at least one candidate entity configuration 168 other than the candidate entity configuration 168 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170, until at least one resumption condition 178 is fulfilled.

[0190] Consequently, FIG. 4 illustrates a method 400 comprising: receiving a plurality of candidate entity configurations 168 and associated measurement reporting configurations 170, wherein at least one of the plurality of candidate entity configurations 168 comprises an associated event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 comprising at least one associated condition 172; performing at least one first measurement 174 for reporting; determining whether the at least one action 196 associated with at least one first event- triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 has occured; and in response to determining that the at least one action 196 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 has occurred, decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one measurement 176 related to at least one of the measurement reporting configurations 170 associated with at least one candidate entity configuration 168 other than the candidate entity configuration 168 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170, until at least one resumption condition 178 is fulfilled.

[0191] FIG. 5 illustrates an example of signaling between entities. FIG. 5 also illustrates a method 500. FIG. 5 is similar to the example of FIG. 2.

[0192] In the example of FIG. 5, when the condition for configured event-triggered reporting becomes fulfilled, the UE 186 continues to measure only the cell for which the event condition became fulfilled until the report 180 is sent. This ensures that the measurement period becomes shorter and the UE 186 can report faster.

[0193] In examples, when a configured event condition becomes fulfilled, it is beneficial that the UE is able to report fast so that cell switch can be triggered without delay. However, without examples of the disclosure, after a condition is met, the UE may actually send the report after a full measurement period considering RSs / beams configured for measurements in the associated resource set. Measurement delay takes into account measurements on all candidate cells and serving cell(s), which makes the reporting delay long, especially in FR2. This may delay the cell switch decision and this is a problem.

[0194] In examples, to shorten the event-triggered reporting delay and make the LTM cell switch based on the triggered report faster, when a condition for L1 event triggered reporting becomes fulfilled for an LTM candidate cell / beam, and / or an associated measurement report is transmitted, and / or an acknowledgement is received for a transmitted associated measurement report, in examples the UE is allowed to (as applicable):

[0195] Stop performing / relax L1 measurements on other LTM candidate cells / beams than those for which event triggered reporting condition is fulfilled. For example:

[0196] Until sending the event-triggered report;

[0197] Until sending the event-triggered report at least once;

[0198] Until the reception of the acknowledgement (e.g., HARQ-ACK) for the sent event-triggered report when applicable (e.g., when report is sent over PUSCH or via MAC-CE);

[0199] Until sending the event-triggered report and if the event triggered report is a periodic report, until the report has been transmitted for a configured number of times;

[0200] Until event condition is no longer met for this cell / beam (i.e. reporting is seized)

[0201] Until cell switch, for example: until the cell switch MAC CE command is received (and processed by UE), until the UE has performed RACH or other UL transmission to the target cell; if at least one event triggered report is sent and TCI activation is received; if at least one event triggered report is sent and PDCCH order for early UL synch is received (PDCCH ordered random access transmission).

[0202] In examples, L1 measurements may be stopped and / or relaxed in response to event condition becoming fulfilled only when at least one of the following: there is at least one TCI state associated with the LTM candidate cell for which event triggered reporting condition is fulfilled in the active TCI state list; the candidate beam for which event triggered reporting condition is fulfilled is in the active TCI state list; the TA acquisition has been performed at least once for the LTM candidate cell for which event triggered reporting condition is fulfilled, and in some examples TA acquisition may refer to UE-based TA measurement or PDCCH ordered PRACH transmission; early ASN.1 decoding or / and validity check has been performed for the LTM candidate cell for which event triggered reporting condition is fulfilled; In examples, L1 measurements may be stopped and / or relaxed on: all other LTM candidate cells / beams for which event condition is not met and which are configured with L1 measurements with any type of reporting configuration (periodic, aperiodic, semi-persistent, event-triggered), or only on LTM candidate cells / beams that are configured with event-triggered L1 reporting configuration and event condition is not met, or on LTM candidate cells for which event-triggered reporting condition is not met and cells that do not have TCI states on active TCI state list (independent of reporting configuration). all other RSes of LTM candidate cells that are listed in the RS resource set for event evaluation

[0203] In examples, relaxing / stopping other measurements may consider also L3 measurements, where the UE may stop / relax:

[0204] L3 measurement RSes that are associated with other candidate cells than the one where event triggering occurs, and / or

[0205] L3 measurement RSes that are associated with the cell where event triggering occurs.

[0206] Any of the options given above may apply as default for all candidate cells / beams, event- triggered reporting configurations, and / or events. In some examples, different options may apply for different events, event-triggered reporting configurations and / or candidate cells / beams. The conditions may be defined directly in the standard or network may configure the UE behavior in the reporting configuration.

[0207] In any of the options described above, a beam measurement for evaluating event may refer to measurement using RS (SSB / CSI-RS) included or associated with the beam.

[0208] Similar behavior as described above can also be applied to other event-triggered measurement reporting related or not related to LTM L1 measurements.

[0209] In examples, with the different options described herein, the position of the time when the UE stops measuring (some of the) other candidate cells based on the condition for event triggered reporting becoming fulfilled may be different. In examples, the behavior may also apply only until a certain point in the process, for example until the event-triggered report is sent.

[0210] Below are examples of how to implement examples of the disclosure in at least one technical specification.

[0211] Considering how to implement one or more of the examples described herein in the specification, this impacts for example the definition of P_L1_sharing, which impacts the L1 measurement period.

[0212] Some examples are given below.

[0213] The current definition of P_L1_sharing takes into account whether TCI state is activated for a candidate cell or not. With adding the event-triggered reporting condition in the definition, the definition may be e.g.

[0214] Example: 1

[0215] Example 2: Example 3:

[0216] Example: 4

[0217] In examples, the solution may be defined directly in the L1 event triggered reporting delay requirement.

[0218] Event Triggered L1 Reporting

[0219] The measurement reporting delay is defined as the time between an event that will trigger a measurement report and the point when the UE starts to transmit the measurement report over the air interface.

[0220] The event triggered measurement reporting delay, shall be less than TL-I- RSRP Measurement Period SSB intra defined in Section 9.14.5.1 With P|_1_sharing—3 NNeighbor Cell event, where NNeighbor_ceii_event is the number of neigbour cells for which reporting criteria is fulfilled.

[0221] FIG. 6A illustrates an example of a block diagram of an apparatus 130. The apparatus 130 may be a controller of an apparatus or device such as a terminal node 110, for example a UE 170, or an access node 120. The apparatus 130 may be considered a controller or controller device.

[0222] Implementation of a controller 130 may be as controller circuitry. The controller 130 may be implemented in hardware alone, have certain aspects in software including firmware alone or can be a combination of hardware and software (including firmware). As illustrated in Fig 6A the controller 130 may be implemented using instructions that enable hardware functionality, for example, by using executable instructions 136 in a general-purpose or special-purpose processor 132 that may be stored on a machine readable storage medium (disk, memory etc.) to be executed by such a processor 132.

[0223] The processor 132 is configured to read from and write to the memory 134. The processor 132 may also comprise an output interface via which data and / or commands are output by the processor 132 and an input interface via which data and / or commands are input to the processor 132.

[0224] The memory 134 stores instructions, program, or code 136 that controls the operation of the apparatus 130 when loaded into the processor 132. The computer program instructions, program or code 136, provide the logic and routines that enables the apparatus 130 to perform the methods illustrated in the accompanying FIGs. The processor 132 by reading the memory 134 is configured to load and execute the instructions, program, or code 136.

[0225] The apparatus 130 comprises: at least one processor 132; and at least one memory 134 storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor 132, cause the apparatus at least to: receiving a plurality of candidate entity configurations 168 and associated measurement reporting configurations 170, wherein at least one of the plurality of candidate entity configurations 168 comprises an associated event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 comprising at least one associated condition 172; performing at least one first measurement 174 for reporting; determining whether the at least one action 196 associated with at least one first event- triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 has occurred; and in response to determining that the at least one action 196 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170 has occurred, decreasing temporal frequency of, or stopping, at least one measurement 176 related to at least one of the measurement reporting configurations 170 associated with at least one candidate entity configuration 168 other than the candidate entity configuration 168 associated with the at least one first event-triggered measurement reporting configuration 170, until at least one resumption condition 178 is fulfilled. As illustrated in Fig 6A, the instructions, program, or code 136 may arrive at the apparatus 130 via any suitable delivery mechanism 162. [0228] The computer program instructions may be comprised in a computer program, a non- transitory computer readable medium, a computer program product, a machine readable medium. In some but not necessarily all examples, the computer program instructions may be distributed over more than one computer program. Although the memory 134 is illustrated as a single component / circuitry it may be implemented as one or more separate components / circuitry some or all of which may be integrated / removable and / or may provide permanent / semi-permanent / dynamic / cached storage.

[0229] In examples the memory 134 comprises a random-access memory 158 and a read only memory 160. In examples the computer program 136 can be stored in the read only memory 158. See, for example, Fig. 6B.

[0230] Although the processor 132 is illustrated as a single component / circuitry it may be implemented as one or more separate components / circuitry some or all of which may be integrated / removable. The processor 132 may be a single core or multi-core processor.
