For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may check a plurality of second display information while the screen is displayed on the flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403) in the third folding state. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can check display information during a third period in which a screen is displayed on the flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403) in the third folding state, and display information during a fourth period in which a screen is displayed on the flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403) in the third folding state, and there is no limitation on the number of the plurality of second display information (e.g., the number of periods). According to one embodiment, operations 503 and 505 may be performed alternately multiple times.

[0180] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may perform operation 503 and / or operation 505 during an on-time period. The “on-time period” may be a period from when a display (e.g., a cover display (161; 203; 303) or a flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403)) of the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) is turned on until it is turned off. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may perform operation 503 and / or operation 505 during one on-time period, and perform operation 515, which will be described later, based on first display information and second display information during the period. According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may delete the display information of operation 503 and the display information of operation 505 based on whether the display (e.g., the cover display (161; 203; 303) or the flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403)) is turned off. Thereafter, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may again obtain the display information of operation 503 and the display information of operation 505 based on whether the display (e.g., the cover display (161; 203; 303) or the flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403)) is turned on.

[0181] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may acquire display information of operation 503 and display information of operation 505 regardless of the on-time period, and may not delete the acquired display information.

[0182] In operation 507, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may update pattern information based on first display information (e.g., display information of operation 503) and second display information (e.g., display information of operation 505). The pattern information will be described later with reference to FIG. 6. For example, the pattern information may include information on a plurality of display information and a matching relationship between the plurality of display information. The pattern information may include a correlation between the plurality of display information for adjusting the user interface from previous display information to next display information. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may update pattern information based on accumulated first display information (e.g., display information of operation 503) and accumulated second display information (e.g., display information of operation 505). In one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may update pattern information based on an artificial intelligence (AI) application (e.g., on-device AI) of the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400). For example, a neural network of the AI application (e.g., on-device AI) of the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may update pattern information based on previous display information and next display information. For example, the neural network may be trained to identify a correlation between user interface configurations according to different folding states. In one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may transmit raw data (e.g., first display information and second display information) to the server (108). The server (108) can update pattern information based on the raw data (e.g., first display information and second display information) of the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) and based on the AI (artificial intelligence) application of the server (108).The server (108) can transmit pattern information to the electronic devices (101; 200; 300; 400). The electronic devices (101; 200; 300; 400) can update the pattern information based on the pattern information provided by the server (108). Updating the pattern information by an AI (artificial intelligence) application (e.g., on-device AI or server AI) can be understood as "learning" the pattern information.

[0183] According to one embodiment, with respect to operations 501, 503, 505, and 507, the third type of electronic device (101; 400) may be described as follows. For example, operation 503 may be understood as an operation of checking first display information on a screen of a portion (e.g., A1) of a flexible display (403) while the screen is displayed on a portion (e.g., A1) of the flexible display (403) in a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state) of the electronic device (101; 400). For example, operation 505 can be understood as an operation of checking second display information on the screen of the flexible display (403) while the screen is displayed on the entire area (e.g., A1, A2, A3, A4, A5) of the flexible display (403) in the third folding state (e.g., fully unfolded state) of the electronic device (101; 400). Alternatively, for example, operation 503 may be understood as an operation of checking first display information on a screen of a first area (e.g., A1) while a screen is displayed on a part of an area (e.g., A1) of a flexible display (403) in a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state) of the electronic device (101; 400), and operation 505 may be understood as an operation of checking second display information on a screen of a part of an area (e.g., A3, A4, A5) of a flexible display (403) in a second folding state (e.g., a mid-folded state) of the electronic device (101; 400) while a screen is displayed on a part of an area (e.g., A3, A4, A5) of the flexible display (403).Alternatively, for example, operation 503 may be understood as an operation of checking first display information on a screen of a portion of a flexible display (403) (e.g., A3, A4, A5) while a screen is displayed on a portion of a flexible display (403) (e.g., A3, A4, A5) in a second folding state (e.g., a mid-folded state) of the electronic device (101; 400), and operation 505 may be understood as an operation of checking second display information on a screen of the flexible display (403) while a screen is displayed on an entire portion of the flexible display (403) (e.g., A1, A2, A3, A4, A5) in a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state) of the electronic device (101; 400). As described above, the third type of electronic device (101; 400) may not include a cover display, and in this case, the operations related to the cover display of the above-described embodiments may be understood as operations for a part of an area (e.g., A1) of the flexible display (403) of the third type of electronic device (101; 400).

[0184] According to one embodiment, the pattern information may include a plurality of pieces of display information and information on a matching relationship between the plurality of pieces of display information. The pattern information may include a correlation between the plurality of pieces of display information for adjusting the user interface from previous display information to next display information. Referring to FIG. 6, the pattern information may include a plurality of pieces of pattern information corresponding to a plurality of time intervals. Each piece of pattern information corresponding to the plurality of time intervals may include information on first display information, second display information, and a matching relationship between the first display information and the second display information. For example, the matching relationship may include a statistical correlation between a previous display configuration and a subsequent user selection during a folding state transition. The information on the "matching relationship" may include probability information on the matching relationship. The "probability information" may include information on a usage time ratio within the plurality of time intervals. The information on the matching relationship may include accuracy information on the matching relationship. The "accuracy information" may include information on an actual usage ratio based on past usage history.

[0185] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may perform an operation based on a plurality of pieces of pattern information. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may select pattern information having the highest prediction accuracy corresponding to the previous display information (e.g., the first display information) by comparing the previous display information (e.g., the first display information) described below with the plurality of pieces of pattern information, and may determine the next display information (e.g., the second display information) having the highest probability corresponding to the previous display information (e.g., the first display information) based on the probability information of the selected pattern information. However, this is merely an example, and there is no limitation on the method of determining the next display information based on the previous display information and the plurality of pieces of pattern information, which will be described in the following embodiments. Fig. 7 may be a diagram illustrating specific pattern information among the plurality of pieces of pattern information. For example, Fig. 7 may be an example of pattern information (e.g., pattern information_K) corresponding to a specific time section (e.g., time section information_K). For example, in FIG. 7, the first display information may include first display information (e.g., first display information_1, first display information_2, to first display information_M) corresponding to a plurality of periods. The first display information may include display information, app information (e.g., application information), and / or layout information, respectively corresponding to the plurality of periods. In FIG. 7, the second display information may include second display information (e.g., second display information_1, second display information_2, to second display information_N) corresponding to a plurality of periods. The second display information may include display information, app information (e.g., application information), and / or layout information, respectively corresponding to the plurality of periods. In FIG. 7, the probability information may include probability information (e.g., probability_11, probability_12, probability_1N, probability_21, probability_22, probability_2N, probability_M1, probability_M2, or probability_MN) corresponding to a matching relationship between first display information (e.g., first display information_1, first display information_2, to first display information_M) corresponding to a plurality of periods and second display information (e.g., second display information_1, second display information_2, to second display information_N) corresponding to a plurality of periods. For example, in FIG. 7, probability_11 may be information on a usage time ratio corresponding to a matching relationship between first display information_1 and second display information_1. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a first screen corresponding to “first display information_1” in a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state). Thereafter, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display a screen corresponding to "second display information_1", a screen corresponding to "second display information_2", or a screen corresponding to "second display information_N" in a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state). At this time, probability_11, probability_12, or probability_1N can be determined based on the ratio (e.g., usage time ratio) of the display periods corresponding to the screen corresponding to "second display information_1", the screen corresponding to "second display information_2", or the screen corresponding to "second display information_N", respectively. For example, after the first screen corresponding to "first display information_1" is displayed in the first folding state (e.g., fully folded state), in the third folding state (e.g., fully unfolded state), the screen corresponding to "second display information_1" may be displayed for 10 seconds, the screen corresponding to "second display information_2" may be displayed for 20 seconds, and the screen corresponding to "second display information_3" may be displayed for 30 seconds. In this case, probability_11, which is probability information between "first display information_1" and "second display information_1", may be 10 / (10+20+30).Probability_12, which is probability information between "first display information_1" and "second display information_2", may be 20 / (10+20+30). Probability_13, which is probability information between "first display information_1" and "second display information_3", may be 30 / (10+20+30).

[0186] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine a plurality of time intervals based on an AI application (e.g., an on-device AI or a server-side AI application). For example, the plurality of time intervals may include a 30-second interval, a 60-second interval, a 90-second interval, and a 120-second interval, as shown in FIG. 8 , but this is merely an example, and there is no limitation on the length of the time intervals and the number of time intervals. FIG. 7 may represent pattern information corresponding to one of the plurality of time intervals of FIG. 8 . The plurality of time intervals will be described with reference to FIG. 8 . For example, in FIG. 8 , the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display an execution screen (810) of an Internet application in a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state). Thereafter, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display an execution screen (820) of an Internet application for 20 seconds in a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state). Thereafter, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display a screen (830) including an execution screen (831) of a video application and an execution screen (832) of an Internet application for 40 seconds in a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state). Thereafter, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display a screen (840) including an execution screen (841) of an Internet application and an execution screen (842) of a note application for 60 seconds in a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state). At this time, as in FIG. 8, multiple time intervals can be set to 30 seconds, 60 seconds, 90 seconds, and 120 seconds. In this case, during the first time interval (e.g., 30 seconds), the execution screen (820) of the Internet application is displayed for 20 seconds, and the screen (830) including the execution screen (831) of the video application and the execution screen (832) of the Internet application is displayed for 10 seconds.Accordingly, during the first time interval (e.g., 30 seconds), the usage time ratio (e.g., probability) of the execution screen (820) of the Internet application is 20 / (20+10), and the usage time ratio (e.g., probability) of the screen (830) including the execution screen (831) of the video application and the execution screen (832) of the Internet application is 10 / (20+10). Consequently, when the time interval is set to the first time interval (e.g., 30 seconds), the probability (e.g., probability information) that the execution screen (820) of the Internet application will be displayed in the third folding state (e.g., fully unfolded state) after the execution screen (810) of the Internet application is displayed in the first folding state (e.g., fully folded state) may be 20 / (20+10). When the time interval is set to the first time interval (e.g., 30 seconds), the probability (e.g., probability information) that a screen (830) including the execution screen (831) of the video application and the execution screen (832) of the Internet application are displayed in the third folding state (e.g., fully unfolded state) after the execution screen (810) of the Internet application is displayed in the first folding state (e.g., fully folded state) may be 10 / (20+10). If the time interval is set to the second time interval (e.g., 60 seconds), the probability (e.g., probability information) that the Internet application execution screen (820) is displayed in the third folding state (e.g., fully expanded state) after the Internet application execution screen (810) is displayed in the first folding state (e.g., fully collapsed state) may be 20 / (20+40), and the probability (e.g., probability information) that the screen (830) including the video application execution screen (831) and the Internet application execution screen (832) is displayed in the third folding state (e.g., fully expanded state) after the Internet application execution screen (810) is displayed in the first folding state (e.g., fully collapsed state) may be 40 / (20+40). As illustrated in FIG. 8, the probability information may be determined depending on how the time interval is set.As described above, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine a plurality of time intervals based on an AI application (e.g., an on-device AI or an AI application of a server). For example, referring to FIG. 8, the plurality of time intervals include a first time interval (e.g., 30 seconds), a second time interval (e.g., 60 seconds), and a third time interval (e.g., 90 seconds), and the second time interval may be longer than the first time interval, the third time interval may be longer than the second time interval, the second time interval may include the first time interval, and the third time interval may include the second time interval, but this is merely an example, and there is no limitation on the plurality of time intervals. For example, time intervals of 1 second, 2 seconds, and 3 seconds may be set, and the difference in the sizes of each time interval may not be constant.

[0187] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can identify the display information with the highest probability within a time interval. For example, in FIGS. 7 and 8 , when the time interval is a first time interval (e.g., 30 seconds), the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine that the display information with the highest probability includes information about the Internet application of 820, and when the time interval is a second time interval (e.g., 60 seconds), the display information with the highest probability includes information about the video application and the Internet application of 830. Accordingly, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can identify the display information with the highest probability as the display information including application information about the Internet application (e.g., "the running application is an Internet application, and the number of running applications is 1") and layout information (e.g., "one application is being displayed in full screen") when the time interval is the first time interval (e.g., 30 seconds). The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can identify the display information with the highest probability as application information for a video application and an Internet application (e.g., "the running applications are a video application and an Internet application, and the number of running applications is 2") and layout information for a split screen (e.g., a 2:1 split screen) (e.g., "the video application is displayed on the left, the Internet application is displayed on the right, and the display ratio of the running screen of the video application and the running screen of the Internet application is 2:1") when the time interval is a second time interval (e.g., 60 seconds).

[0188] According to one embodiment, FIG. 7 may be pattern information for one time interval. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may check pattern information including accuracy information for display information (e.g., information on actual usage rate based on past usage history). For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may check accuracy information for display information having the highest probability. For example, the accuracy information may include information on the actual usage rate of a screen selected by an “automatic” function and a “manual” function, as described later in FIG. 9. For example, as described later, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may recommend at least one display information from among a plurality of display information based on the probability information and / or the accuracy information, and thereafter update the pattern information including the probability information and / or the accuracy information based on the display information of the screen that is actually displayed.

[0189] At least some of the operations of Fig. 5b may be omitted. The order of the operations of Fig. 5b may be changed. Operations other than the operations of Fig. 5b may be performed before, during, or after the operations of Fig. 5b.

[0190] Referring to FIG. 5b, in operation 511, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can check the folding state of the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400). The folding state is a first folding state in which a first foldable region (e.g., 202d in FIG. 2A, 302d in FIG. 3A, or A4 in FIG. 4B) corresponding to a first hinge (270; 380; 450) and a second foldable region (e.g., 202e in FIG. 2A, 302e in FIG. 3A, or A5 in FIG. 4B) corresponding to a second hinge (280; 370; 440) among a plurality of regions of the flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403) are folded, and a first foldable region (e.g., 202d in FIG. 2A, 302d in FIG. 3A, or A4 in FIG. 4B) corresponding to a first hinge (270; 380; 450) or a second hinge (280; The second foldable region (e.g., 202e in FIG. 2A, 302e in FIG. 3A, or A5 in FIG. 4B) corresponding to the first hinge (270; 380; 450) may include a second folding state in which one of the second foldable regions (e.g., 202d in FIG. 2A, 302d in FIG. 3A, or A4 in FIG. 4B) corresponding to the first hinge (270; 380; 450) is folded, and a third folding state in which the second foldable region (e.g., 202e in FIG. 2A, 302e in FIG. 3A, or A5 in FIG. 4B) corresponding to the second hinge (280; 370; 440) is unfolded. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can check the folding state of the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) using a sensor (176). The sensor (176) may be a Hall sensor, an acceleration sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, or a 6-axis sensor, and there is no limitation on the type of the sensor (176).

[0191] In operation 513, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine a change in the folding state of the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400). The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine a change in the folding state using the sensor (176). For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine that the folding state is changed from a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state) to a second folding state (e.g., a mid-folded state). For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine that the folding state is changed from a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state) to a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state). For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine that the folding state changes from a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state) to a second folding state (e.g., a mid-folded state) to a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state). For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine that the folding state changes from a second folding state (e.g., a mid-folded state) to a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state). For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine that the folding state changes from a second folding state (e.g., a mid-folded state) to a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state). For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine that the folding state has changed from a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state) to a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state). For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine that the folding state has changed from a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state) to a second folding state (e.g., a mid-folded state). For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can confirm that the folding state changes from a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state) to a second folding state (e.g., an intermediate folded state) to a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state). The embodiments described below mainly disclose embodiments in which the folding state changes from a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state) to a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state), or embodiments in which the folding state changes from a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state) to a second folding state (e.g., an intermediate folded state) to a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state). This is for convenience of explanation, and those skilled in the art will understand that embodiments in which the folding state changes differently can also be understood with reference to the embodiments below.

[0192] In operation 515, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may compare previous display information with pattern information (e.g., pattern information of operation 507) based on a change in the folding state. The previous display information may include display information of a screen that was displayed before the folding state changed.

[0193] In operation 517, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine next display information based on previous display information and pattern information. The next display information may include display information for setting a screen to be displayed after the folding state is changed. According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine next display information based on an automatic recommendation operation or a manual selection operation, which will be described later with reference to FIGS. 10 and 11. According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine next display information as display information that matches previous display information among pattern information, based on whether the previous display information corresponds to one of the pattern information. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the next display information using the learned display information if the display information of the screen displayed before the folding state is changed corresponds to one of the pattern information. According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the next display information based on the previous display information based on the fact that the previous display information does not correspond to the pattern information.

[0194] In operation 519, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may perform screen configuration of a display (e.g., a cover display (161; 203; 303) or a flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403)). The screen configuration may be performed for the cover display (161; 203; 303) or may be performed for the flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403) based on a folding state after the folding state has been changed. The screen configuration may include an operation of determining a layout of a screen to be displayed on the cover display (161; 203; 303) or the flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403) and an execution application. As described above, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can perform screen configuration based on the next display information determined using the learned display information if the display information of the screen displayed before the folding state changes corresponds to one of the pattern information. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can perform screen configuration based on the next display information determined using the previous display information if the display information of the screen displayed before the folding state changes does not correspond to one of the pattern information. Specific embodiments will be described below.

[0210] With reference to FIG. 10, one embodiment of the operation of FIG. 5a and / or the operation of FIG. 5b can be understood.

[0211] Referring to FIG. 10, in operation 1001, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a first screen in a first state (e.g., a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state) or a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state)). In the embodiment of FIG. 10, a screen before the folding state changes may be referred to as the first screen. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display the first screen on the cover display (161; 203; 303) in the first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state). Alternatively, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display the first screen on the flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403) in a third folding state (e.g., fully unfolded state).

[0212] In operation 1003, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine a change in the folding state. Operation 1003 can be understood with reference to the description of operation 503 of FIG. 5A. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine that the folding state is changed from a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state) to a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state). Alternatively, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine that the folding state is changed from a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state) to a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state).

[0213] In operation 1005, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a second screen in a second state (e.g., a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state) or a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state)). In the embodiment of FIG. 10, a screen after changing the folding state may be referred to as a second screen. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a second screen on the flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403) in the third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state). Alternatively, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a second screen on the cover display (161; 203; 303) in the first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state). The action of displaying the second screen of action 1005 can be understood through the description of actions 505, 507, and 509 of FIG. 5a.

[0214] Through the embodiment of FIG. 10, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can perform an application recommendation operation and / or a layout recommendation operation by an automatic recommendation operation, regardless of user input.

[0215] Fig. 11 is a flowchart of a method of operating an electronic device according to one embodiment. Fig. 12 is a drawing explaining the operation of an electronic device according to one embodiment.

[0216] At least some of the operations of FIG. 11 may be omitted. The order of the operations of FIG. 11 may be changed. Operations other than those of FIG. 11 may be performed before, during, or after the operations of FIG. 11.

[0217] With reference to FIG. 11, one embodiment of the operation of FIG. 5a and / or the operation of FIG. 5b can be understood.

[0218] Referring to FIG. 11, in operation 1101, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a first screen in a first state (e.g., a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state) or a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state)). In the embodiment of FIG. 11, a screen before the folding state changes may be referred to as the first screen. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display the first screen on the cover display (161; 203; 303) in the first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state). Alternatively, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a first screen on the flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403) in a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state). For example, referring to FIG. 12, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a first screen (1210) in a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state). For example, the first screen (1210) may be an execution screen of an Internet application.

[0219] In operation 1103, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine a change in the folding state. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine that the folding state is changed from a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state) to a second folding state (e.g., a mid-folded state). Alternatively, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine that the folding state is changed from a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state) to a second folding state (e.g., a mid-folded state). For example, referring to FIG. 12, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can confirm that the folding state is changed from a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state) to a second folding state (e.g., a mid-folded state).

[0220] In operation 1105, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a recommendation screen in a second state (e.g., a second folding state (e.g., a mid-folded state)). The recommendation screen may be a screen including icon(s) that recommend at least one piece of display information from among a plurality of pieces of display information. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a first screen, confirm a change in the folding state, and confirm that the display information while the first screen is displayed corresponds to the first display information of the pattern information. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a screen that recommends a plurality of pieces of display information that match the first display information based on probability information and / or accuracy information included in the pattern information, based on whether the display information while the first screen is displayed corresponds to the first display information of the pattern information. For example, referring to FIG. 12, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a recommendation screen (1220) in a second folding state (e.g., a mid-folded state). The recommendation screen (1220) may include at least one icon recommending at least one piece of display information among a plurality of pieces of display information. For example, the recommendation screen (1220) may include a plurality of icons including an icon (1221) recommending a note application.

[0221] In operation 1107, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can check whether a user input is input through a recommendation screen. For example, the user can input a user input for selecting an icon on the recommendation screen of the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400). According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can check a change in the folding state when the user input is confirmed or not. For example, referring to FIG. 12, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can check a change in the folding state when it has confirmed a user input (1222) for an icon (1221) recommending a note application. According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may perform different actions based on whether a user input is confirmed and the type of the confirmed user input.

[0222] In operation 1109, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a second screen in a third state (e.g., a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state) or a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state)) based on confirmation of a change in the folding state in a state where a user input is confirmed. In the embodiment of FIG. 11, a screen after a change in the folding state in a state where a user input is confirmed may be referred to as a second screen. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a second screen on the flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403) in a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state). Alternatively, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a second screen on the cover display (161; 203; 303) in a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state). For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the next display information based on the display information, pattern information, and user input of the first screen, and display the second screen based on the determined display information. For example, referring to FIG. 12, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a second screen (1230) including an execution screen (1231) of an Internet application and an execution screen (1232) of a note application. The operation 1109 will be described with reference to the embodiments of FIGS. 12 to 19.

[0223] In operation 1111, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a third screen in a third state (e.g., a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state) or a first folding state (e.g., a fully folded state)) based on confirmation of a change in the folding state when no user input is confirmed. In the embodiment of FIG. 11, a screen after a change in the folding state when no user input is confirmed may be referred to as a second screen. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a third screen on the flexible display (162; 202; 302; 403) in a third folding state (e.g., a fully unfolded state). Alternatively, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a third screen on the cover display (161; 203; 303) in the first folding state (e.g., fully folded state). For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the next display information based on the display information of the first screen, and display the third screen based on the determined display information. The layout and the running application of the third screen of operation 1111 may be different from the layout and the running application of the second screen of operation 1109. The operation 1111 will be described with reference to the embodiments of FIGS. 12 to 19.

[0224] FIG. 13A is a diagram illustrating the operation of an electronic device according to one embodiment.

[0225] Referring to FIG. 13A, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine next display information based on previous display information based on whether user input is confirmed.

[0226] For example, in (a) of FIG. 13A, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a basic screen (1310) in the first folding state. The basic screen (1310) may be a home screen of the first folding state. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a recommendation screen (1320) based on a change to the second folding state. The recommendation screen (1320) may be a screen for recommending at least one piece of display information among a plurality of pieces of display information. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a screen (1330) corresponding to the basic screen (1310) based on a change to the third folding state, based on the fact that no user input is confirmed while the recommendation screen (1320) is displayed in the second folding state. The screen (1330) corresponding to the basic screen (1310) may be a home screen in the third folding state.

[0227] For example, in (b) of FIG. 13a, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a first screen (1340) in the first folding state. The first screen (1340) may be a screen of an Internet application in the first folding state. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a recommendation screen (1350) based on a change to the second folding state. The recommendation screen (1350) may be a screen for recommending at least one piece of display information from among a plurality of pieces of display information based on the display information and pattern information of the first screen (1340). The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a second screen (1360) corresponding to the first screen (1340) based on a change to a third folding state based on the fact that no user input is confirmed while the recommendation screen (1350) is displayed in the second folding state. The second screen (1360) may be a screen of an Internet application in the third folding state.

[0228] FIG. 13b is a diagram illustrating the operation of an electronic device according to one embodiment.

[0229] Referring to FIG. 13B, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a recommendation screen (1380) and / or a return button (1382). For example, in FIG. 13B, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a first screen (1370) in a first folding state. The first screen (1370) may be a screen of an Internet application in the first folding state. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a recommendation screen (1380) based on a change to a second folding state. The recommendation screen (1380) may be a screen for recommending at least one piece of display information from among a plurality of pieces of display information based on the display information and pattern information of the first screen (1370). For example, the recommendation screen (1380) may be a screen displayed on the information (1383) of the first screen (1370) when, in the second folding state, the information (1383) of the first screen (1370) (e.g., information corresponding to an execution screen of an Internet application) is, for example, displayed dimly. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a recommendation screen (1380) including recommended app icons (1381) on the information (1383) of the first screen (1370) when, for example, the information (1383) of the first screen (1370) (e.g., information corresponding to an execution screen of an Internet application) is displayed dimly. According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a return button (1382). For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display the second screen (1390) in the second folding state by normally displaying information (1383) of the first screen (1370) that was displayed blurry based on selection of the return button (1382).In one embodiment, unlike FIG. 13B, in the second folding state as in (b) of FIG. 13A, information (e.g., 1383 of FIG. 13B) of the first screen (1370) may not be displayed. In this case, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a second screen (1390) corresponding to the information of the first screen (1370) based on the selection of the return button (1382).

[0230] FIG. 14 is a drawing illustrating the operation of an electronic device according to one embodiment.

[0231] Referring to FIG. 14, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the following display information based on confirmation of a first user input (e.g., hold input).

[0232] For example, in (a) of FIG. 14, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display a basic screen (1410) in the first folding state. The basic screen (1410) may be a home screen of the first folding state. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display a recommendation screen (1420) based on a change to the second folding state. The recommendation screen (1420) may be a screen for recommending at least one piece of display information among a plurality of pieces of display information. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can confirm a first user input while the recommendation screen (1420) is displayed in the second folding state. For example, the first user input may be a hold input for selecting an icon (1421) corresponding to a note application. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can determine the next display information based on the display information of the basic screen (1410), the pattern information, and the first user input. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display the screen (1430) based on the next display information determined based on the change to the third folding state. For example, the screen (1430) can include a home screen (1431) and an execution screen (1432) of a note application. For example, the screen (1430) can be a screen that displays the home screen (1431) and the execution screen (1432) of the note application in a 2:1 ratio based on the determined next display information (e.g., layout information in a 2:1 ratio). For example, the screen (1430) may be a screen that displays the home screen (1431) narrowly on the left and the execution screen (1432) of the note application wide on the right, based on the determined next display information (e.g., layout information of a ratio of left 2: right 1).

[0233] For example, in (b) of FIG. 14, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display a first screen (1440) in a first folding state. The first screen (1440) may be an execution screen (1440) of an Internet application. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display a recommendation screen (1450) based on a change to a second folding state. The recommendation screen (1450) may be a screen for recommending at least one piece of display information from among a plurality of pieces of display information based on the display information and pattern information of the first screen (1440). The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can confirm a first user input while the recommendation screen (1450) is displayed in the second folding state. For example, the first user input may be a hold input for selecting an icon (1451) corresponding to a note application. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the next display information based on the display information of the first screen (1440), the pattern information, and the first user input. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display the screen (1460) based on the determined next display information based on the change to the third folding state. For example, the screen (1460) may include an execution screen (1461) of an Internet application and an execution screen (1462) of a note application. For example, the screen (1460) may be a screen that displays the execution screen (1461) of the Internet application and the execution screen (1432) of the note application in a 2:1 ratio based on the determined next display information (e.g., layout information in a 2:1 ratio). For example, the screen (1430) may be a screen that displays the execution screen (1461) of the Internet application narrowly on the left side and the execution screen (1432) of the note application wide on the right side based on the determined next display information (e.g., layout information in a left 2: right 1 ratio).

[0234] FIG. 15 is a drawing illustrating the operation of an electronic device according to one embodiment.

[0235] Referring to FIG. 15, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the following display information based on confirmation of a second user input (e.g., hold input and drag input).

[0236] For example, in (a) of FIG. 15, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display a first screen (1510) in a first folding state. The first screen (1510) may be an execution screen (1510) of an Internet application. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a recommendation screen (1520) based on a change to a second folding state. The recommendation screen (1520) may be a screen for recommending at least one piece of display information from among a plurality of pieces of display information based on the display information and pattern information of the first screen (1510). The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may confirm a second user input while the recommendation screen (1520) is displayed in the second folding state. For example, the second user input may be a hold input and a leftward drag input for selecting an icon (1521) corresponding to the note application. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the next display information based on the display information of the first screen (1510), the pattern information, and the second user input. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display the screen (1530) based on the determined next display information based on the change to the third folding state. For example, the screen (1530) may include an execution screen (1531) of the note application and an execution screen (1532) of the internet application. For example, an electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a screen (1530) that displays an execution screen (1531) of a note application on the left and an execution screen (1532) of an Internet application on the right based on a hold input and a leftward drag input for selecting an icon (1521) corresponding to a note application. For example, the screen (1530) may be a screen that displays the execution screen (1531) of the note application and the execution screen (1532) of the Internet application in a 2:1 ratio based on the determined next display information (e.g., layout information in a 2:1 ratio). For example, the screen (1430) may be a screen that displays the execution screen (1531) of the note application widely on the left side and the execution screen (1532) of the Internet application narrowly on the right side based on the determined next display information (e.g., layout information in a left 2: right 1 ratio).

[0237] For example, in (b) of FIG. 15, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display a first screen (1540) in a first folding state. The first screen (1540) may be an execution screen (1540) of an Internet application. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display a recommendation screen (1550) based on a change to a second folding state. The recommendation screen (1550) may be a screen for recommending at least one piece of display information from among a plurality of pieces of display information based on the display information and pattern information of the first screen (1540). The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can confirm a second user input while the recommendation screen (1550) is displayed in the second folding state. For example, the second user input may be a hold input and a rightward drag input for selecting an icon (1551) corresponding to the note application. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the next display information based on the display information of the first screen (1540), the pattern information, and the second user input. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display the screen (1560) based on the determined next display information based on the change to the third folding state. For example, the screen (1560) may include an execution screen (1561) of an Internet application and an execution screen (1562) of a note application. For example, an electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a screen (1530) that displays an execution screen (1531) of a note application on the right side and an execution screen (1532) of an Internet application on the left side based on a hold input and a rightward drag input for selecting an icon (1551) corresponding to a note application. For example, the screen (1530) may be a screen that displays an execution screen (1561) of an Internet application and an execution screen (1562) of a note application in a 2:1 ratio based on determined next display information (e.g., layout information with a 2:1 ratio). For example, the screen (1530) may be a screen that displays an execution screen (1561) of an Internet application widely on the left side and a execution screen (1562) of a note application narrowly on the right side based on determined next display information (e.g., layout information with a left 2: right 1 ratio).

[0238] FIG. 16 is a drawing illustrating the operation of an electronic device according to one embodiment.

[0239] Referring to FIG. 16, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the following display information based on confirmation of a second user input (e.g., hold input and drag input).

[0240] For example, in (c) of FIG. 16, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display a first screen (1610) in a first folding state. The first screen (1610) may be an execution screen (1610) of an Internet application. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display a recommendation screen (1620) based on a change to a second folding state. The recommendation screen (1620) may be a screen for recommending at least one piece of display information from among a plurality of pieces of display information based on the display information and pattern information of the first screen (1610). The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can confirm a second user input while the recommendation screen (1620) is displayed in the second folding state. For example, the second user input may be a hold input and an upward drag input for selecting an icon (1621) corresponding to the note application. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the next display information based on the display information of the first screen (1610), the pattern information, and the second user input. The electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display the screen (1630) based on the determined next display information based on the change to the third folding state. For example, the screen (1630) may include an execution screen (1631) of the note application and an execution screen (1632) of the internet application. For example, an electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display a screen (1630) that displays an execution screen (1631) of a note application at the top and an execution screen (1632) of an Internet application at the bottom based on a hold input and an upward drag input for selecting an icon (1621) corresponding to a note application. For example, the screen (1630) may be a screen that displays the execution screen (1631) of the note application and the execution screen (1632) of the Internet application in a 1:1 ratio based on the determined next display information (e.g., layout information in a 1:1 ratio).

[0241] For example, in (d) of FIG. 16, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) can display a first screen (1640) in a first folding state. [0254] For example, in (a) of FIG. 19, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the horizontal length of icons (1911, 1912, 1913, 1914) of the recommendation screen (1910) based on probability information and / or accuracy information. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the horizontal length of an icon corresponding to display information having a high probability of probability information and / or a high accuracy of accuracy information to be long.

[0255] For example, in (b) of FIG. 19, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the display positions of icons (1921, 1922, 1923, 1924) of the recommendation screen (1920) based on probability information and / or accuracy information. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the display position of an icon corresponding to display information having a high probability of probability information and / or high accuracy of accuracy information to be a position that is easy for a user to touch.

[0256] For example, in (c) of FIG. 19, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the vertical length of icons (1931, 1932, 1933, 1934) of the recommendation screen (1930) based on probability information and / or accuracy information. For example, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may determine the vertical length of an icon corresponding to display information having a high probability of probability information and / or a high accuracy of accuracy information to be long.

[0257] For example, in (d) of FIG. 19, the electronic device (101; 200; 300; 400) may display icons (1941, 1942, 1943, 1944) of the recommendation screen (1940) to indicate layout information. For example, 1941 may indicate that three applications are displayed in a 1:1:1 ratio. For example, 1942 may indicate that one application is displayed in full screen. For example, 1943 may indicate that the execution screen of the first application and the execution screen of the second application are displayed in a 2:1 ratio. For example, 1944 may indicate that the execution screen of the third application and the execution screen of the second application are displayed in a 2:1 ratio.
