[0038] Throughout the attached drawings, similar reference numerals are understood to refer to similar parts, configurations and structures.

[0039] The following description of the accompanying drawings may provide an understanding of various exemplary implementations of the present disclosure, including the claims and their equivalents. While the exemplary embodiments disclosed in the following description include numerous specific details to aid understanding, they are to be considered as one example of various exemplary embodiments. Accordingly, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications and variations of the various implementations described in this disclosure may be made without departing from the scope and technical spirit of the disclosure. Furthermore, descriptions of well-known functions and configurations may be omitted for clarity and conciseness.

[0040] The terms and words used in the following description and claims are not limited to their reference meanings and can be used to clearly and consistently describe one embodiment of the present disclosure. [0041] Unless the context clearly dictates otherwise, the singular forms of "a," "an," and "the" should be understood to include plural meanings. Thus, for example, "a component surface" could be understood to include one or more of the surfaces of the component.

[0042] To enhance the bass reproduction capability of a speaker and increase its output capacity, an electronic device is needed that includes a speaker that extends in a third direction (e.g., along the Y axis). However, because electronic devices have limited internal structures, it has been difficult to provide a speaker that extends in a third direction (e.g., along the Y axis).

[0043] With recent technological advancements, the services provided by electronic devices are becoming more sophisticated, increasing the need for high-performance audio technology. Therefore, it is necessary to provide long speakers in a third direction (e.g., along the Y axis) within the limited space of electronic devices.

[0044] According to one embodiment, the electronic device of the present disclosure can improve sound quality and volume by securing the size of the speaker in a third direction (e.g., the Y-axis direction). Furthermore, by using a plurality of speakers with partially overlapping sound paths, the mounting space of the electronic device in the third direction (e.g., the Y-axis direction) can be minimized or reduced, thereby efficiently utilizing the mounting space.

[0045] The technical aspects to be achieved in this document are not limited to the technical aspects mentioned above, and other technical aspects not mentioned will be clearly understood by a person having ordinary skill in the technical field to which the present disclosure pertains from the description below.

[0072] An embodiment of the present disclosure may be implemented as software (e.g., a program (140)) including one or more instructions stored in a storage medium (e.g., an internal memory (136) or an external memory (138)) readable by a machine (e.g., an electronic device (101)). For example, a processor (e.g., a processor (120)) of the machine (e.g., an electronic device (101)) may call at least one instruction among the one or more instructions stored from the storage medium and execute it. This enables the machine to operate to perform at least one function according to the at least one called instruction. The one or more instructions may include code generated by a compiler or code executable by an interpreter. The machine-readable storage medium may be provided in the form of a non-transitory storage medium. Here, 'non-transitory' simply means that the storage medium is a tangible device and does not contain signals (e.g., electromagnetic waves), and the term does not distinguish between cases where data is stored semi-permanently or temporarily on the storage medium.

[0073] According to one embodiment, a method according to one embodiment of the present disclosure may be provided as included in a computer program product. The computer program product may be traded as a commodity between a seller and a buyer. The computer program product may be distributed in the form of a machine-readable storage medium (e.g., compact disc read-only memory (CD-ROM)), or may be distributed online (e.g., downloaded or uploaded) through an application store (e.g., Play Store™) or directly between two user devices (e.g., smart phones). In the case of online distribution, at least a portion of the computer program product may be temporarily stored or temporarily generated in a machine-readable storage medium, such as the memory of a manufacturer's server, an application store's server, or a relay server.

[0074] According to one embodiment, each component (e.g., a module or a program) of the above-described components may include one or more entities, and some of the entities may be separated and placed in other components. According to one embodiment, one or more components or operations of the aforementioned components may be omitted, or one or more other components or operations may be added. Alternatively or additionally, a plurality of components (e.g., a module or a program) may be integrated into a single component. In such a case, the integrated component may perform one or more functions of each of the plurality of components identically or similarly to those performed by the corresponding component among the plurality of components prior to the integration. According to one embodiment, the operations performed by a module, program, or other component may be executed sequentially, in parallel, iteratively, or heuristically, or one or more of the operations may be executed in a different order, omitted, or one or more other operations may be added.

[0075] FIG. 2 is a perspective view of an electronic device in a folded state according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 3 is a perspective view of an electronic device in an unfolded state according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

Hereinafter, in the description of the electronic device (101) described below, the 'first direction' may mean the Z-axis direction (or the direction parallel to the Z-axis), the 'second direction' may mean the X-axis direction (or the direction parallel to the X-axis), and the 'third direction' may mean the Y-axis direction (or the direction parallel to the Y-axis). This is based on the rectangular coordinate system described in the drawing for the sake of conciseness of description, and it is to be noted that the description of such directions or components does not limit the embodiment(s) of the present disclosure. For example, the rectangular coordinate system may be defined differently from the present disclosure depending on the design specifications of the electronic device or the usage habits of the user.

[0077] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, the electronic device (101) may include a housing (202), a display (204), and a touchpad module (240). [0082] According to one embodiment, the display (204) may be coupled to or disposed adjacent to a touch sensing circuit, a pressure sensor capable of measuring the intensity (pressure) of a touch, and / or a digitizer configured to detect a magnetic field-type stylus pen.

[0083] In one embodiment, the input device (206) can detect user input (e.g., pressure). In one embodiment, the input device (206) can be positioned or accommodated on the first housing (210). In one embodiment, when the electronic device (101) is closed, the input device (206) can face the display (204). The configuration of the input device (206) of FIG. 2 may be all or part of the same as the configuration of the input module (150) of FIG. 1. For example, the input device (206) may be a keyboard.

[0084] In one embodiment, the touch pad module (240) may be configured to detect or receive a user input. In one embodiment, the touch pad module (240) may include a capacitive touch sensor, a resistive touch sensor, an optical touch sensor, or a surface acoustic wave touch sensor. For example, the touch pad module (240) may detect current, pressure, light, and / or vibration caused by an input applied by a user to the touch pad module (240), and a processor (e.g., the processor (120) of FIG. 1) and / or the touch pad module (240) may determine the user input based on the detected change in current, pressure, light, and / or vibration. In one embodiment, the touch pad module (240) may be referred to as a touch pad, a touch pad device, or a touch pad structure.

[0085] According to one embodiment, the processor (e.g., the processor (120) of FIG. 1) and / or the touch pad module (240) can determine a user's input location (e.g., XY coordinates). [0087] FIG. 4 is an exploded perspective view of a portion of an electronic device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0088] Referring to FIG. 4, the electronic device (101) may include a housing (210). The description of the housing (210) may be identical to the description of the housing (210) described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3. The first housing (210) of the electronic device (101) may include a first front surface (210a) and a first rear surface (210b). The first front surface (210a) may face the second front surface (220a) of the second housing (220) described above in FIG. 2, as described above. In addition, the first rear surface (210b) is a portion that is visually exposed to the outside of the electronic device (101) regardless of whether the electronic device (101) is open (e.g., FIG. 3) or closed (e.g., FIG. 2), and may protect internal components of the electronic device (101) from external impact.

[0089] A hole (2101) may be formed at one end of the first rear surface (210b). According to one embodiment, the first rear surface (210b) of the housing (210) may include a planar area and a curved area extending from one end of the planar area. The hole (2101) may be formed in the curved area. In addition, sound emitted from the first speaker (321) and / or the second speaker (331) may be transmitted to the outside of the electronic device (101) through the hole (2101).

[0090] The hole (2101) may be, for example, an empty space having an opening (e.g., a first opening (O1) of FIG. 16 and / or a second opening (02) of FIG. 17) formed therein to be described later. In addition, the hole (2101) may also be configured to include a diffuser (e.g., a structure in which a plurality of small holes are formed) for uniformly dispersing sound emitted from the speaker assembly (300). According to one embodiment, the hole (2101) further includes a mesh member, and the mesh member may be configured to cover the hole (2101).

[0091] According to one embodiment, the hole (2101) may include a first hole (2101a) and a second hole (2101b). The first hole (2101a) may include a first plurality of holes, and the second hole (2101b) may include a second plurality of holes.

[0092] According to one embodiment, the housing (210) may further include a first mesh member covering the first hole (2101a) and a second mesh member covering the second hole (2101b). In addition, the first mesh member may be formed with a first plurality of holes aligned with the first hole (2101a), and the second mesh member may be formed with a second plurality of holes aligned with the second hole (2101b).

[0093] The shape of the exterior of the hole (2101) may be such that distortion of sound emitted from the first speaker (321) and / or the second speaker (331) is minimized or reduced. As a result, the sound quality of sound transmitted to the outside of the electronic device (101) may be improved. For example, the exterior of the hole (2101) may have a shape corresponding to the radiating portion (340) described below, and may have a shape in which a plurality of small holes are formed.

[0094] According to one embodiment, the first hole (2101a) may be configured to transmit sound emitted from the first speaker (321) and / or the second speaker (331) to the outside, and the second hole (2101b) may be configured to transmit sound emitted from the first speaker (321) to the outside.

[0095] In one embodiment, the sound emitted from the first hole (2101a) may be a superimposed sound of the sound emitted from the first speaker (321) and the sound emitted from the second speaker (331). In one embodiment, the first speaker (321) and the second speaker (331) may be operated at different frequencies to minimize or reduce the overlap between the emitted sounds. For example, the first speaker (321) may be a speaker that emits sound corresponding to a low frequency, and the second speaker (331) may be a speaker that emits sound corresponding to a high frequency.

[0096] According to one embodiment, the first speaker (321) can emit sound having a frequency lower than a specified frequency value (e.g., 3 kHz) in the audible frequency range. The second speaker (331) can emit sound having a frequency higher than a specified frequency value (e.g., 3 kHz) in the audible frequency range. However, this is merely an example, and examples of the frequency values may vary depending on the embodiment. According to one embodiment, the frequency ranges of the sound emitted from the first speaker (321) and the sound emitted from the second speaker (331) may overlap with each other. However, for the convenience of explanation, it will be exemplified below that the frequency ranges emitted from the first speaker (321) and the second speaker (331) are different. For example, the first speaker (321) may be configured to form a woofer, and the second speaker (331) may be configured to form a tweeter.

[0097] A woofer, for example, can be a speaker that reproduces low-frequency sounds. A woofer can reproduce sounds below 200 Hz and can effectively transmit the sounds of low-frequency instruments such as bass, guitar, and drums. Therefore, a woofer may be a speaker with a large driver. A tweeter, for example, can be a speaker that reproduces high-frequency sounds. A tweeter can reproduce sounds above 2 kHz and can clearly transmit the sounds of high-frequency instruments. Therefore, a tweeter may be a speaker with a smaller driver than a woofer.

[0098] According to one embodiment, when the first speaker (321) and the second speaker (331) emit sounds of different frequencies, the operating times of the first speaker (321) and the second speaker (331) may vary depending on the frequency of the sound that the speaker assembly (300) intends to emit. This can prevent or reduce distortion of sounds output from the first speaker (321) and the second speaker (331). That is, even if both sounds emitted from the first speaker (321) and sounds emitted from the second speaker (331) are emitted through the first hole (2101a), the phenomenon of sounds being distorted due to overlapping can be minimized or eliminated.

[0099] In the present embodiment and the following examples, the hole (2101) is illustrated as being separated into a first hole (2101a) and a second hole (2101b), but is not limited thereto. According to one embodiment, the first hole (2101a) and the second hole (2101b) may be connected to form a single hole (2101).

[0100] The speaker assembly (300) may include a speaker housing (310), a first speaker assembly (320), a second speaker assembly (330), a radiator (340), and a cable (350). Sound emitted from the speaker assembly (300) may be transmitted to the outside through a hole (2101) of the electronic device (101).

[0101] According to one embodiment, a space formed by a predetermined distance in a second direction (e.g., X-axis direction) from a hole (2101) of an electronic device (101) may be defined as a first resonance space. In addition, a space formed between the hole (2101) of the electronic device (101) and the first resonance space may be defined as a second resonance space. According to one embodiment, the first resonance space and the second resonance space may be arranged adjacent to each other in the second direction (e.g., X-axis direction). In addition, a first speaker assembly (320) may be arranged in the first resonance space, and a second speaker assembly (330) may be arranged in the second resonance space, so that the first speaker assembly (320) and the second speaker assembly (330) may be arranged adjacent to each other in the second direction (e.g., X-axis direction).

[0102] Although the present invention and the following embodiments describe only one speaker assembly (300) formed at one end of the electronic device (101) in the second direction (e.g., +X-axis direction), according to one embodiment, the speaker assemblies (300) may be positioned at both ends of the electronic device (101) in the second direction (e.g., X-axis direction).

[0103] According to one embodiment, the housing (210) may have a third hole (e.g., the third hole (2101c) of FIG. 25) and a fourth hole (e.g., the fourth hole (2101d) of FIG. 25) formed at the other end opposite the end where the first hole (2101a) and the second hole (2101b) are formed.

[0104] According to one embodiment, the third hole (e.g., the third hole (2101c) of FIG. 25) may be configured to transmit sound emitted from the third speaker and / or the fourth speaker to the outside, and the fourth hole (e.g., the fourth hole (2101d) of FIG. 25) may be configured to transmit sound emitted from the third speaker to the outside.

[0105] The speaker housing (310) may include a front case (310a) and a rear case (310b). The speaker housing (310) may support the first speaker assembly (320) and / or the second speaker assembly (330) and protect the speaker assembly (300) from external impact. In addition, the speaker housing (310) may guide sound emitted from the first speaker (321) and / or the second speaker (331). In addition, the speaker housing (310) may be combined with the aforementioned housing (210) or formed as an integral part thereof.

[0106] According to one embodiment, the front case (310a) may face the first front side (210a) of the electronic device (101), and the rear case (310b) may face the first rear side (210b) of the electronic device (101). Accordingly, the speaker housing (310) may be supported at least in part by the first front side (210a) and / or the first rear side (210b) of the electronic device (101), and the speaker assembly (300) may be disposed in the internal space of the electronic device (101). In addition, the front case (310a) and the rear case (310b) may be coupled and fixed within the electronic device (101) by a fastening member (e.g., a fastening member (2102) of FIG. 6) to minimize or reduce a sound vibration phenomenon caused by vibration of the speaker assembly (300).

[0107] The speaker housing (310) may be configured to form at least a portion of a first sound path (e.g., a first sound path (P1) of FIG. 14) to be described later, at least a portion of a second sound path (e.g., a second sound path (P2) of FIG. 13) to be described later, and at least a portion of a third sound path (e.g., a third sound path (P3) of FIG. 14) to be described later.

[0108] The first speaker assembly (320) may include a first speaker (321) and a first plate (322). As described above, the first speaker (321) may be configured to emit low-frequency sound, and the first plate (322) may guide the sound emitted from the first speaker (321) to the hole (2101). Although the first plate (322) is described as a separate configuration from the speaker housing (310) in the present drawing and the following embodiments, it is not limited thereto, and may be at least a portion of the front case (310a).

[0109] The second speaker assembly (330) may include a second speaker (331) and a guide plate (332). As described above, the second speaker (331) may be configured to emit high-frequency sound, and the guide plate (332) may guide the sound emitted from the second speaker (331) to the hole (2101). Although the guide plate (332) is described as a separate configuration from the speaker housing (310) in this drawing and the following embodiments, it is not limited thereto, and may be formed by extending at least a portion of the rear case (310b).

[0110] According to one embodiment, the first speaker (321) may be configured to generate a first acoustic signal corresponding to a first frequency range, and the second speaker (331) may be configured to generate a second acoustic signal corresponding to a second frequency range that is at least partially different from the first frequency range as described above. In addition, the first frequency range may cover a frequency band lower than the second frequency range. The first speaker (321) may be configured to form a woofer, and the second speaker (331) may be configured to form a tweeter. Accordingly, the width of the first speaker (321) may be larger than the width of the second speaker (331).

[0111] According to one embodiment, a third speaker assembly including a third speaker configured to generate a third acoustic signal corresponding to the first frequency range and a fourth speaker assembly including a fourth speaker configured to generate a fourth acoustic signal corresponding to the second frequency range may be formed at the other ends of the first speaker assembly (320) and the second speaker assembly (330). The third speaker may be a speaker corresponding to the first speaker (321), and the fourth speaker may be a speaker corresponding to the second speaker (331). In addition, the third speaker and the fourth speaker may emit sound through a third hole (e.g., the third hole (2101c) of FIG. 25) and a fourth hole (e.g., the fourth hole (2101d) of FIG. 25) corresponding to the first hole (2101a) and the second hole (2101b).

[0112] The radiating portion (340) may have a shape corresponding to the appearance of the hole (2101) of the electronic device (101) as described above. According to one embodiment, the radiating portion (340) may be formed inside an opening (e.g., the first opening (O1) of FIG. 16 and / or the second opening (02) of FIG. 17) to be described later, so that the sound guided from the first plate (322) and / or the guide plate (332) may be guided to the hole (2101) through the opening (e.g., the first opening (O1) of FIG. 16 and / or the second opening (02) of FIG. 17) to be described later.

[0113] The cable (350) can be used for general purposes such as supplying power to the speaker assembly (300) or transmitting signals by instructions stored in the memory (130).

[0114] FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a speaker assembly according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0115] Referring to FIG. 5, the first speaker (321) may have a rectangular shape that is elongated in a third direction (e.g., in the Y-axis direction). The first speaker (321) may, for example, emit sound in a first direction (e.g., in the +Z-axis direction). The first speaker (321) may include a first diaphragm that faces the first direction (e.g., in the +Z-axis direction) and generates a first acoustic signal in the first direction (e.g., in the +Z-axis direction) through vibration.

[0116] In one embodiment, the first speaker (321) may be a speaker that emits sound in a low frequency range. For example, the sound in the low frequency range of the first speaker (321) may have a frequency ranging from 20 Hz to 200 Hz. In one embodiment, the first acoustic signal may be an acoustic signal in a low frequency range. In one embodiment, the first acoustic signal may generally be an acoustic signal having a frequency ranging from 20 Hz to 200 Hz.

[0117] According to one embodiment, a first acoustic signal, which is a sound emitted from a first speaker (321), may be guided in a second direction (e.g., in the +X-axis direction) by the first plate (322) described above. The first acoustic signal guided by the first plate (322) may pass through the first radiating portion (341) and / or the second radiating portion (342) and be transmitted to the outside of the electronic device (101) through the first hole (2101a) and / or the second hole (2101b) formed in the first rear surface (210b). The first acoustic signal guided by the first plate (322) may be transmitted to the outside of the electronic device (101) through the first opening (01) and / or the second opening (02).

[0118] According to one embodiment, the second speaker (331) may be disposed between the first speaker (321) and the first radiating portion (341). According to one embodiment, the second speaker (331) may be disposed between the first hole (2101a) and the first speaker (321) when viewed from above. In addition, the second speaker (331) may be a rectangular parallelepiped shape that is elongated in the third direction (e.g., in the Y-axis direction) and may be a speaker that is shorter in the third direction (e.g., in the Y-axis direction) than the first speaker (321).

[0119] The second speaker (331) may, for example, emit sound in a first direction (e.g., in the +Z-axis direction). The second speaker (331) may include a second diaphragm that faces the first direction (e.g., in the +Z-axis direction) and generates a second acoustic signal in the first direction (e.g., in the +Z-axis direction) through vibration.

[0120] In one embodiment, the second speaker (331) may be a speaker that emits sound in a high frequency range. For example, the sound in the high frequency range of the second speaker (331) may have a frequency ranging from 2 kHz to 20 kHz. In one embodiment, the second acoustic signal may be an acoustic signal in a high frequency range. In one embodiment, the second acoustic signal may be an acoustic signal having a frequency generally ranging from 2 kHz to 20 kHz.

[0121] According to one embodiment, a second acoustic signal, which is a sound emitted from a second speaker (331), may be guided in a second direction (e.g., in the +X-axis direction) by the aforementioned guide plate (332). The second acoustic signal, which is a sound guided by the guide plate (332), may pass through the first radiating portion (341) and be transmitted to the outside of the electronic device (101) through the first hole (2101a) formed in the first rear surface (210b). The second acoustic signal guided by the guide plate (332) may be transmitted to the outside of the electronic device (101) through the first opening (01).

[0122] In the present embodiment and the following embodiments, the radiating unit (340) is described as having a first radiating unit (341) and a second radiating unit (342) separated from each other, but is not limited thereto. According to one embodiment, the first radiating unit (341) and the second radiating unit (342) may be connected to form a single radiating unit (340).

[0123] According to one embodiment, if the radiating portion (340) is formed longer than a predetermined value, the sound quality of sound emitted from the first speaker (321) and / or the second speaker (331) may be degraded due to vibration occurring in the speaker assembly (300).

[0124] When the radiating portion (340) is formed separately, the intensity of vibration generated in the speaker assembly (300) can be reduced by connecting the front case (310a) and the rear case (310b) through a later-described fastening portion (e.g., fastening portion (2102) of FIG. 6) formed between the first radiating portion (341) and the second radiating portion (342).

[0125] In the present embodiment and the following embodiments, the first speaker (321) and the second speaker (331) are described as rectangular parallelepipeds that are elongated in the third direction (e.g., Y-axis direction), but the present invention is not limited thereto and may have a general speaker shape.

[0126] According to one embodiment, the second speaker (331) may be arranged such that at least a portion thereof is adjacent to the first speaker (321) in a second direction (e.g., in the X-axis direction). As a result, at least a portion of the first acoustic signal, which is a sound emitted from the first speaker (321), and the second acoustic signal, which is a sound emitted from the second speaker (331), can both pass through the first radiating portion (341) that is arranged in parallel in the second direction (e.g., in the X-axis direction). As a result, sounds that pass through the first radiating portion (341) may overlap at an opening (e.g., the first opening (O1) of FIG. 16 and / or the second opening (02) of FIG. 17) described below.

[0127] According to one embodiment, since the first speaker (321) and the second speaker (331) are arranged adjacently in the second direction (e.g., X-axis direction), despite the length limitation in the third direction (e.g., Y-axis direction) of the electronic device (101), the length of the first speaker (321) in the third direction (e.g., Y-axis direction) can be extended up to the length of the electronic device (101) in the third direction (e.g., Y-axis direction).

[0128] FIG. 6 is a plan view illustrating a portion of an electronic device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0129] Referring to FIG. 6, a rear case (310b) may be formed in a first direction (e.g., +Z-axis direction) of a first rear surface (210b) of an electronic device (101). According to one embodiment, the rear case (310b) may at least partially overlap with the first rear surface (210b) when viewed from above. A hole (2101) formed in the first rear surface (210b) of the electronic device (101) may be positioned further outside of the electronic device (101) than a radiating portion (340) formed at one end of the speaker assembly (300). According to one embodiment, the radiating portion (340) may at least partially overlap with the hole (2101) when viewed from above.

[0130] According to one embodiment, the first rear surface (210b) may further include a fastening portion (2102). The fastening method of the fastening portion (2102) is described as an example in which the first front surface (210a) and the first rear surface (210b) are fastened using a hook structure in the present and following embodiments, but is not limited thereto. However, the fastening method of the fastening portion (2102) is not limited thereto, and may be fastened in various ways depending on the shape of the fastening portion (2102) and / or the speaker housing (310). For example, the first front surface (210a) and the first rear surface (210b) may be fastened using a screw structure.

[0131] A fastening portion (2102) may be formed between the first radiating portion (341) and the second radiating portion (342). The fastening portion (2102) may couple and fix the front case (310a) and the rear case (310b) between the first radiating portion (341) and the second radiating portion (342). As a result, sound vibration generated from the first speaker (321) and / or the second speaker (331) may be improved, and vibration noise may be minimized or reduced, thereby improving sound quality.

[0132] In this example, the fastening member (2102) is included in the first housing (210), but it is not limited thereto, and may be formed in the front case (310a) and the rear case (310b) of the speaker housing (310). For example, the front case (310a) and the rear case (310b) may be fastened with a hook structure.

[0133] FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view of an electronic device taken along line A-A' of FIG. 6 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 8 is an enlarged view of a portion of a cross-sectional view of an electronic device taken along line A-A' of FIG. 6 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 9 is an enlarged view of a portion of a cross-sectional view of an electronic device taken along line A-A' of FIG. 6 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0134] Referring to FIGS. 7 to 9, at least a portion of the first speaker (321) and / or the second speaker (331) may be supported by the front case (310a) and / or the rear case (310b). In addition, the second speaker (331) may be positioned on the outside of the electronic device (101) with respect to the second direction (e.g., +X-axis direction) relative to the first speaker (321).

[0135] According to one embodiment, the first speaker (321) is disposed on at least a portion of the first plate (322) and can emit sound in a first direction (e.g., in the +Z-axis direction). The sound emitted through the first speaker (321) can be guided in a second direction (e.g., in the +X-axis direction) by the first plate (322) and transmitted to the first opening (O1). In addition, the first speaker (321) can be a speaker that has a longer length in the second direction (e.g., in the X-axis direction) and / or the first direction (e.g., in the Z-axis direction) than the second speaker (331). In addition, the first plate (322) may be formed to be elongated in the second direction (e.g., in the X-axis direction), and both ends may be coupled to the front case (310a) and / or the rear case (310b), and one end may be formed to be extended in the second direction (e.g., in the X-axis direction) to the first opening (O1).

[0136] According to one embodiment, the second speaker (331) is disposed on at least a portion of the guide plate (332) and can emit sound in a first direction (e.g., in the +Z-axis direction). The sound emitted through the second speaker (331) can be guided in a second direction (e.g., in the +X-axis direction) by the guide plate (332) and transmitted to the first opening (O1). In addition, the guide plate (332) can be disposed on at least a portion of the first plate (322). In addition, the guide plate (332) can be formed to extend in the second direction (e.g., in the X-axis direction), and one end can be coupled to the front case (310a). In addition, the other end of the guide plate (332) can be formed to extend in the second direction (e.g., in the X-axis direction) to the first opening (O1).

[0137] According to one embodiment, sound emitted from the first speaker (321) and / or the second speaker (331) through the first opening (O1) may pass through the first radiating portion (341) and be emitted to the outside of the electronic device (101).

[0138] In the present embodiment and the following embodiments, the first plate (322) and / or the guide plate (332) are described as being separate from the speaker housing (310), but the first plate (322) and / or the guide plate (332) may be configured to be integrated with the speaker housing (310).

[0139] In the present embodiment and the following embodiments, the first speaker (321) and / or the second speaker (331) are supported by being in contact with the speaker housing (310) and not in contact with the first plate (322) and / or the guide plate (332), but this is not limited thereto. In one embodiment, the first speaker (321) and / or the second speaker (331) may be supported by being in contact with the first plate (322) and / or the guide plate (332).

[0140] Fig. 10 is a perspective view of a speaker assembly according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. Fig. 11 is a bottom view of a speaker assembly according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0141] Referring to FIGS. 10 and 11, the acoustic path along which sound emitted from the first speaker (321) is radiated can be defined as the acoustic path of the first speaker (321). The first acoustic signal, which is the sound emitted from the first speaker (321), moves along the acoustic path of the first speaker (321) and can be transmitted to the outside of the electronic device (101) through the openings (O1, O2).

[0142] An acoustic path may refer to a path along which sound is transmitted from a location where sound is generated (e.g., a first speaker (321) and / or a second speaker (331)) to a user. According to one embodiment, a conduit having a predetermined shape is formed by at least a portion of a speaker housing (310), a first plate (322) and / or a guide plate (332), and a path along which sound is transmitted from a location where sound is generated (e.g., a first speaker (321) and / or a second speaker (331)) to a user may be referred to as an acoustic path.

[0143] According to one embodiment, the sound path of the first speaker (321) may be a path along which a first sound signal is emitted from the first diaphragm and moves in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and is emitted through the first opening (O1) and / or the second opening (O2). In addition, the sound path of the first speaker (321) may include a first sound path (P1) and a second sound path (P2).

[0144] According to one embodiment, a path along which sound emitted from the first speaker (321) passes through the first radiating portion (341) along the first opening (01) may be defined as a first sound path (P1). The first sound path (P1) may partially overlap with a third sound path (e.g., the third sound path (P3) of FIG. 14) to be described later. In addition, the first sound path (P1) may be arranged between the third sound path (e.g., the third sound path (P3) of FIG. 14) to be described later and the first front surface (210a) of the housing (210).

[0145] According to one embodiment, the path along which sound emitted from the first speaker (321) passes through the second radiator (342) along the second opening (02) can be defined as a second sound path (P2).

[0146] In the present disclosure and the following embodiments, the first sound path (P1) and the second sound path (P2) are described as being distinct, but this is not limited thereto, and due to the diffusion of sound, sound emitted from the first speaker (321) can freely move within the sound path of the first speaker (321) within the speaker housing (310).

[0147] According to one embodiment, a first sound path (P1) formed between the first radiating portion (341) and the first speaker (321) may allow a first portion of the first sound signal to be emitted to the outside of the electronic device (101) through the first hole (2101a).

[0148] In addition, the second sound path (P2) formed between the second radiating portion (342) and the first speaker (321) can allow a second portion of the first sound signal to be emitted to the outside of the electronic device (101) through the second hole (2101b).

[0149] FIG. 12 is a perspective view of a speaker assembly according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 13 is a bottom view of a speaker assembly according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 14 is a bottom view of a speaker assembly according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0150] Referring to FIGS. 12 and 13, the path along which sound emitted from the second speaker (331) is radiated can be defined as a third sound path (P3).

[0151] According to one embodiment, the third sound path (P3) may refer to a path along which sound emitted from the second speaker (331) passes through the first radiating portion (341) along the first opening (O1). Since the first speaker (321) and the second speaker (331) are arranged in parallel in the second direction (e.g., in the X-axis direction), a portion of the first sound path (P1) and the third sound path (P3) may overlap.

[0152] According to one embodiment, the third acoustic path (P3) may be a path along which a second acoustic signal is emitted from the second vibrating plate and moves in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and is emitted through the first opening (O1).

[0153] In the present embodiment and the following embodiments, the sound emitted from the second speaker (331) is emitted through the first radiating portion (341) and partially overlaps with the third sound path (P3) and the first sound path (P1). However, this is not limited thereto, and the sound emitted from the second speaker (331) may pass through the second radiating portion (342), and the third sound path (P3) may partially overlap with the second sound path (P2).

[0154] Referring to FIG. 14, according to one embodiment, the third acoustic path (P3) may be arranged so as to at least partially overlap the first acoustic path (P1) described above and not overlap the second acoustic path (P2) described above when viewed from above. In addition, the third acoustic path (P3) may allow the second acoustic signal to be emitted to the outside of the electronic device through the first hole (2101a).

[0155] According to one embodiment, the first sound path (P1) described above may be arranged so as to at least partially overlap the second speaker (331) when viewed from above, and the second sound path (P2) described above may be arranged so as not to overlap the second speaker (331).

[0156] According to one embodiment, the housing (210) further includes a keyboard and a touch pad accommodated so as to face the first front side (210a), and the first speaker (321), the second speaker (331), the first sound path (P1) described above, the second sound path (P2) described above, and the third sound path (P3) described above may be arranged so as not to overlap the keyboard and the touch pad when viewed from above.

[0157] FIG. 15 is a perspective view illustrating a portion of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 16 is a cross-sectional view illustrating an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, taken along line B-B' of FIG. 12. FIG. 17 is a cross-sectional view illustrating an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, taken along line C-C' of FIG. 12.

[0158] Referring to FIGS. 15 and 16, the first sound path (P1) and the third sound path (P3) may partially overlap at the opening (O1).

[0159] According to one embodiment, the third sound path (P3) of the sound emitted from the second speaker (331) and the first sound path (P1) of the sound emitted from the first speaker (321) may partially overlap. According to one embodiment, the first sound path (P1) and the third sound path (P3) may partially overlap at the first opening (O1).

[0160] According to one embodiment, the first sound path (P1) and the third sound path (P3) can be separated by a guide plate (332). In the present disclosure and the following embodiments, it is described as an example that the guide plate (332) separates the third sound path (P3) and the first sound path (P1), but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the first sound path (P1) of the first speaker (321) and the third sound path (P3) of the second speaker (331) can also be separated by a speaker housing (310).

[0161] In addition, the second speaker (331) that mainly reproduces high-frequency sounds may be placed adjacent to the first radiating portion (341) and the first hole (2101a). Since the second speaker (331) and the first hole (2101a) are placed adjacent to each other, the length of the third sound path (P3) may be very short.

[0162] Referring to FIG. 17, the second sound path (P2) may not overlap with the third sound path (P3). According to one embodiment, sound emitted from the first speaker (321) may travel along the second opening (02) through the second sound path (P2), pass through the second radiating portion (342), and be emitted to the outside of the electronic device (101) through the second hole (2101b).

[0163] FIG. 18 is a cross-sectional view showing a portion of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 19 is a cross-sectional view showing a portion of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 20 is a plan view showing a portion of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 21 is a graph illustrating a comparison between speaker assemblies according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0164] Referring to FIGS. 18 and 19, the speaker assembly (300) may include a guide plate (332). The guide plate (332) may be configured to form a third sound path (P3) of the second speaker (331). In addition, the guide plate (332) may be configured to separate the third sound path (P3) of the second speaker (331) and the sound path of the first speaker (321) of the first speaker (321).

[0165] According to one embodiment, the thickness of the third sound path (P3) may be configured to become thicker as it approaches the first hole (2101a). That is, the guide plate (332) may be inclined at a predetermined angle or more with respect to the second direction (e.g., X-axis direction). The predetermined angle (θ) may mean within about 10 degrees, and as the guide plate (332) is inclined, the third sound path (P3), which means the path along which the sound emitted from the second speaker (331) moves, may also be inclined at an angle of within about 10 degrees.

[0166] In the present embodiment and the following embodiments, the predetermined angle (θ) meaning the inclined angle of the guide plate (332) is 1 degree as an example, but is not limited thereto. For example, as described above, the predetermined angle (θ) may be set to an angle within 10 degrees, and the predetermined angle (θ) (e.g., up to 45 degrees) may be set depending on the area that the internal space of the speaker housing (310) can accommodate. In addition, the predetermined angle (θ) (e.g., up to 45 degrees) may be set depending on the amount of sound flowing in the sound path of the first speaker (321) and / or the third sound path (P3).

[0167] Referring to FIG. 19, the guide plate (332) may be coupled with at least a portion of the rear case (310b) and may extend in a second direction (e.g., in the +X-axis direction). However, the coupling of the guide plate (332) is not limited thereto, and may be coupled with the front case (310a) and may be in a form in which at least a portion of the front case (310a) and / or the rear case (310b) extends in the second direction (e.g., in the X-axis direction).

[0168] According to one embodiment, the method of coupling the guide plate (332) to the front case (310a) and / or the rear case (310b) may be, for example, a double-sided tape, or a fusion method (e.g., a method using an adhesive, a bonding material, or a fusion material) in which a part of the guide plate (332) is fused with the speaker housing (310).

[0169] Referring to FIG. 20, when viewed from above, the second speaker assembly (330) (e.g., the second speaker (331) and / or the guide plate (332)) described above may overlap at least a portion of the front case (310a). In addition, when viewed from above, at least a portion of the second speaker (331) may overlap the guide plate (332). As a result, the third sound path (P3), which is the path along which sound emitted from the second speaker (331) travels, may be separated from the sound path of the first speaker (321), which is the space between the guide plate (332) and the front case (310a). In addition, the sound emitted from the second speaker (331) may be guided in a second direction (e.g., in the X-axis direction) by the guide plate (332) and may be emitted to the outside of the electronic device (101) along the third sound path (P3).

[0170] Fig. 21 may be a graph comparing a case where the guide plate (332) is inclined at a predetermined angle (θ) or more and a case where the guide plate (332) has no inclination (e.g., a comparative example). Referring to Fig. 18, when the guide plate (332) is inclined at a predetermined angle (θ) or more, compared to the comparative example, distortion of high-frequency performance can be minimized or reduced and the frequency characteristics of sound emitted from the second speaker (331) can be flattened.

[0171] High-frequency performance can refer to a speaker's ability to process high-frequency signals. Therefore, speakers with minimal or reduced high-frequency distortion are likely to be capable of accurately reproducing or processing high-frequency signals.

[0172] Frequency response can refer to a characteristic that describes how an electronic device (101) or audio equipment processes a signal of a specific frequency. Accordingly, if the frequency response is flat, it can mean that the distortion of the output signal (e.g., sound emitted from a speaker) is not significant depending on the frequency of the input signal.

[0173] Fig. 22 is a cross-sectional view showing a portion of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Fig. 23 is a perspective view showing a fastening portion of a rear case of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0174] Referring to FIGS. 22 and 23, the housing (210) may include a hook portion (2102b) that is positioned between the first hole (2101a) and the second hole (2101b) to secure the speaker housing (310) to the housing (210).

[0175] In the present embodiment and the following examples, the fastening portion (2102) is described as being fastened through a hook structure, but is not limited thereto, and may be fastened through a general fastening method, such as a screw fastening method, a bolt fastening method, a rivet fastening method, and / or a fastening method using an adhesive, as long as it can create a bonding force between the front case (310a) and the rear case (310b) of the speaker housing (310).

[0176] According to one embodiment, the fastening portion (2102) may include a hook portion (2102b) protruding in the direction of the housing (210) (e.g., in the second direction) from a separating wall formed between the first sound path (P1) and the second sound path (P2) and a catch groove (2102a) configured to receive the hook portion (2102b).

[0177] The hook portion (2102b) may have a structure in which at least two or more protrusions are formed in a second direction (e.g., +X-axis direction), and the catching groove (2102a) protrudes in an opposite direction (e.g., -X-axis direction) to the direction in which the hook portion (2102b) protrudes, and may be inserted between the at least two or more protrusions. When the catching groove (2102a) is inserted into the hook portion (2102b), vibration of the speaker assembly (300) in the first direction (e.g., Z-axis direction) may be minimized or reduced.

[0178] According to one embodiment, the hook portion (2102a) may be at least a portion of the front surface (210a) of the electronic device (101), and the hook portion (2102b) may be at least a portion of the rear surface (210b) of the electronic device (101). In the present disclosure and the following embodiments, the fastening portion (2102) is described as being a portion of the housing (210), but is not limited thereto. For example, the configuration of the hook portion (2102b) and the hook portion (2102a) may be formed inside the speaker assembly (300) as long as the structure can minimize vibration of the speaker assembly (300) and improve sound shaking.

[0179] FIG. 24 is a plan view showing a portion of an electronic device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0180] Referring to FIG. 24, the first hole (2101a) and the second hole (2101b) may have a structure in which a plurality of holes are formed in a third direction (e.g., Y-axis direction). According to one embodiment, the length by which the plurality of holes of the first hole (2101a) extend in the third direction (e.g., Y-axis direction) may be referred to as a first length (L1). In addition, the length by which the plurality of holes of the second hole (2101b) extend in the third direction (e.g., Y-axis direction) may be referred to as a second length (L2).

[0181] According to one embodiment, the first length (L1) of the first hole (2101a) may be shorter than the second length (L2) of the second hole (2101b). For example, the second length (L2) may be formed to be approximately 1.1 times the first length (L1). This can reduce the phenomenon in which the sound emitted from the first speaker (321) and the sound emitted from the second speaker (331) overlap at the first opening (O1) of the first hole (2101a).

[0182] FIG. 25 is a plan view and a partially enlarged view of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 26 is a cross-sectional view of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0183] Referring to FIGS. 25 and 26, the speaker assembly (300) can be applied to various electronic devices (101). For example, if the first speaker (321) and the second speaker (331) are arranged adjacently so that at least a portion of the sound path of the first speaker (321) and the third sound path (P3) can overlap, the speaker assembly (300) of the present disclosure can be applied.

[0184] Although the electronic device (101) disclosed in the present disclosure is described as an electronic device in the form of a plurality of housings connected by a hinge structure, such as a notebook computer, the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the electronic device (101) may be an electronic device having a bar-type or plate-type appearance.

[0185] According to one embodiment, a third hole (2101c) and a fourth hole (2101d) may be formed on opposite sides of an end of the electronic device (101) where the first hole (2101a) and the second hole (2101b) are formed, as described above in FIG. 4. The third hole (2101c) may be configured to transmit sound emitted from the third speaker and / or the fourth speaker to the outside, and the fourth hole (2101d) may be configured to transmit sound emitted from the third speaker to the outside.

[0186] In addition, a plurality of speaker assemblies (300) may be formed inside the electronic device (101). For example, they may be formed at both ends of the electronic device (101) in the second direction (e.g., X-axis direction). In the present disclosure and the following embodiments, the speaker assemblies (300) are described as being formed at both ends of the electronic device (101) in the second direction (e.g., X-axis direction), but are not limited thereto. As long as it is at one end of the electronic device (101), the speaker assemblies (300) may be formed at various locations of the electronic device (101), and this may be adjusted according to specific functional requirements or design purposes.

[0187] The present disclosure relates to an electronic device. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, an electronic device (101) includes a first housing (210) configured to form an exterior of the electronic device and a speaker assembly (300), wherein the speaker assembly includes a speaker housing (310) including a front case (310a) and a rear case (310b) configured to be coupled with the front case to form an internal space, a first speaker assembly (320) that emits sound corresponding to a first frequency range, and a second speaker assembly (330) that emits sound corresponding to a second frequency range at least partially different from the first frequency range, wherein the first speaker assembly includes a first speaker (321) disposed spaced apart from one end of the electronic device and a first plate (322) disposed on the front case and guiding sound emitted from the first speaker to a first opening (O1) and a second opening (O2) through an acoustic path of the first speaker (321); The second speaker assembly may be an electronic device, wherein the second speaker assembly includes a second speaker (331) disposed adjacent to a part of the first speaker between one end of the electronic device and the first speaker, and a guide plate (332) disposed above and spaced apart from the first plate by a predetermined distance, and guiding sound emitted from the second speaker to the first opening (O1) through a third sound path (P3), and at least a part of the sound path of the first speaker (321) is disposed to at least partially overlap the third sound path (P3) when viewed from above.

[0188] According to one embodiment, the sound path of the first speaker (321) may be an electronic device including a first sound path (P1) arranged to at least partially overlap a third sound path (P3) when viewed from above, and a second sound path (P2) arranged to not overlap the third sound path (P3) when viewed from above.
