Abstract
Description
Flange mounting jig
[0001] The present invention relates to a flange mounting jig for mounting a flange perpendicular to a pipe.
[0002] In pipe work and the like, flanged pipes are widely used at the connection parts of pipes. Generally, in a flanged pipe, a flange is welded and fixed to the end of the pipe. For the welded fixation of the flange, it is necessary to vertically weld and fix the pipe to the mounting holes of the flange. However, since there is a slight gap between the flange and the mounting holes of the pipe, simply inserting the pipe into the mounting holes does not result in sufficient perpendicularity.
[0003] Conventionally, the perpendicularity of the pipe has been determined by visual inspection, but this requires skill on the part of the operator, and even a highly skilled operator will have some degree of error. Therefore, for example, a jig as described in Patent Document 1 may be used. This jig consists of a cylindrical contact part and a flange-like stop part formed on the base side of the contact part. The contact part is inserted from the side opposite to the pipe insertion side of the mounting hole of the pipe, and the tip of the pipe inserted into the mounting hole abuts against the contact part to determine the right angle of the inserted pipe. Then, the inserted pipe and the flange are welded and fixed.
[0004] Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 7-119874
[0005] However, in the above jig, since the contact part needs to have a shape corresponding to the outer diameter of the pipe (the inner diameter of the mounting hole of the flange), it is necessary to prepare different jigs according to the size of the pipe to be used. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a flange mounting jig that can mount a flange at a right angle even for pipes of different sizes.
[0006] The flange mounting jig of the present invention is a plate-shaped flange having mounting holes for mounting a cylindrical pipe provided on its axis, and is a flange mounting jig for welding and fixing a flange having bolt holes into which fixing bolts are inserted to a pipe inserted into the mounting holes, comprising two reference surfaces that each make at least line contact with the outer surface of the pipe, a pipe fixing portion to which the pipe is fixed to the two reference surfaces in a state where the pipe is at least line contact with the two reference surfaces, and a flange fixing portion having a flange fixing surface perpendicular to the two reference surfaces to which the flange is fixed, wherein the flange fixing portion has a hole position regulating means for regulating the position of the bolt holes of the flange fixed to the flange fixing surface, and a hole position regulating means that is movable in the radial direction of the pipe fixed to the pipe fixing portion.
[0007] According to the flange mounting jig of the present invention, by fixing the pipe to two reference surfaces in a state where the pipe is in at least line contact with the two reference surfaces, the flange fixed to the flange fixing surface perpendicular to the two reference surfaces is perpendicular to the pipe. Furthermore, since the position of the bolt holes in the flange is restricted by a hole position regulating means that is movable in the radial direction of the pipe and fixed to the pipe fixing part, flanges corresponding to pipes of different sizes can be fixed so as to be perpendicular to the pipe.
[0008] The pipe fixing section is preferably configured to be movable toward the axis of the pipe that is in contact with the two reference surfaces, and to have a pipe retaining section that holds the pipe in place when it is in contact with the two reference surfaces. This makes it possible to attach flanges fixed to flange fixing surfaces perpendicular to the two reference surfaces at a right angle, even with pipes of different sizes, by having the pipes come into contact with the two reference surfaces and be held in place by the pipe retaining section.
[0009] Alternatively, the pipe fastener should preferably secure the pipe using magnetic force. This allows for the mounting of flanges at right angles to flange mounting surfaces perpendicular to two reference planes, even if the pipes are of different sizes, by securing the pipes magnetically to these two reference planes.
[0010] The flange mounting jig of the present invention preferably has an angle adjustment section for adjusting the angle of two reference surfaces with respect to the horizontal plane. This makes it possible to position the flange and pipe on the flange mounting jig of the present invention at an angle corresponding to the angle of the mating pipe, valve, or other equipment to be connected by the flange, and then weld and fix the flange to the pipe.
[0011] The flange mounting jig of the present invention preferably has a flange position confirmation section for confirming the distance from a reference point to the flange connection surface. This makes it possible to confirm the distance from the reference point to the flange connection surface at a glance.
[0012] According to the flange mounting jig of the present invention, flanges can be easily mounted at a right angle even on pipes of different sizes.
[0013] This is a front view of the flange mounting jig in the first embodiment of the present invention. This is a right side view of the flange mounting jig in Figure 1. This is a top view of the flange mounting jig in Figure 1. This is a diagram showing the flange fixing plate in Figure 2. This is a front view of the flange mounting jig in the second embodiment of the present invention. This is a right side view of the flange mounting jig in Figure 5. This is a top view of the flange mounting jig in Figure 5.
[0014] <Embodiment 1> Figure 1 is a front view of the flange mounting jig in the first embodiment of the present invention, Figure 2 is a right side view of the flange mounting jig in Figure 1, and Figure 3 is a top view of the flange mounting jig in Figure 1.
[0015] As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the flange mounting jig 1 in the first embodiment of the present invention is a jig for welding and fixing a flange F as a pipe joint to the end of a cylindrical pipe P. The flange F can be a circular pipe flange or a square high-pressure flange. The flange F has a pipe fixing surface F1 to which the pipe P is fixed and a connecting surface F2 to which it connects with the mating flange (not shown). The pipe fixing surface F1 is parallel to the connecting surface F2. A mounting hole F3 for attaching the cylindrical pipe P is provided in the axis of the flange F. The flange F also has a bolt hole F4 into which a fixing bolt (not shown) for fixing to the mating mating mating mating mating mating mating mating mating mating mating mating mating bolts (not shown) are inserted.
[0016] The flange mounting jig 1 has a pipe fixing part 2 to which the pipe P is fixed, and a flange fixing part 3 to which the flange F is fixed. The pipe fixing part 2 has two reference surfaces 20A and 20B that make at least line contact with the outer surface of the pipe P, and a pipe pressing part 21 (see Figure 2; partially omitted in Figures 1 and 3) that presses down on the pipe P that is in contact with the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B. The two reference surfaces 20A and 20B are perpendicular to each other and contact the pipe P at two points P1 and P2 (see Figure 2) on the longitudinal cross-section of the pipe P.
[0017] The pipe retainer 21 is supported by a support arm 22 that extends above the pipe fixing part 2. The pipe retainer 21 is movable toward the intersection line 20C of the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B, that is, it is movable toward the axis P0 of the pipe P that is in contact with the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B. By advancing the pipe retainer 21 toward the pipe P positioned in the pipe fixing part 2, the pipe P comes into contact with the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B at two points P1 and P2 on the longitudinal cross-section of the pipe P, and is firmly held in place.
[0018] Here, the statement that the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B make at least line contact with the outer surface of the pipe P means that, like the contact between a cylinder and a plane, they make line contact when there is no load, but when a load is applied toward the axis P0 of the pipe P by the pipe retainer 21, etc., they make slight surface contact with the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B.
[0019] It is also possible to provide a magnet (not shown) on the pipe fixing part 2 to attract the pipe P by magnetic force. This makes it easier to hold the pipe P in place with the pipe holding part 2, as the pipe P is attracted to the pipe fixing part 2 by magnetic force simply by placing the pipe P on it. Alternatively, the tip of the pipe holding part 21 may be formed into a bifurcated shape, and a pair of rollers that rotate freely around an axis parallel to the axis P0 of the pipe P may be provided at the tip.
[0020] The flange fixing portion 3 includes a flange fixing plate 30 having a flange fixing surface 30A which is a plane perpendicular to two reference planes 20A and 20B. The flange F is fixed to the flange fixing surface 30A. The flange fixing portion 3 also includes a flange fixing device 5 which serves as a hole position regulating means for regulating the position of the bolt holes F4 of the flange F that are fixed to the flange fixing surface 30A.
[0021] The flange fixing device 5 includes fixing pins 5A and 5B that are inserted into bolt holes F4 of the flange F to fix the flange F. The fixing pins are supported so as to be slidable in a direction perpendicular to the flange fixing surface 30A by guide pins 5C that extend in a direction perpendicular to the flange fixing surface 30A. The tip of fixing pin 5A is frustoconical (tapered). A female thread is formed on the tip of fixing pin 5A. Fixing pin 5B is provided in a position opposite to fixing pin 5A, with the flange fixing plate 30 in between. A male thread is formed on the tip of fixing pin 5B that screws into the female thread of fixing pin 5A.
[0022] As shown in Figure 4, the flange fixing plate 30 is provided with a flange fixing hole 31 for supporting the fixing pin 5B. The flange fixing hole 31 is an elongated hole that is long in the radial direction of the pipe P fixed to the pipe fixing part 2, that is, in the direction Z from the axis P0 of the pipe P that abuts the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B toward the intersection line 20C of the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B. Also, as shown in Figure 4, the flange fixing plate 30 is provided with a support hole 32 for supporting the guide pin 5C. The support hole 32 is an elongated hole that is long in the direction Z from the axis P0 of the pipe P that abuts the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B toward the intersection line 20C of the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B.
[0023] The flange F is positioned and fixed when the tip of the fixing pin 5A is inserted into the bolt hole F4 of the flange F, and the male threaded portion of the tip of the fixing pin 5B is screwed into the female threaded portion of the tip of the fixing pin 5A. At this time, the fixing pins 5A and 5B can move along direction Z (radial direction of the pipe P) within the flange fixing hole 31, and the guide pin 5C can also move within the support hole 32. Therefore, even if the flanges F are of different sizes and the pitch of each bolt hole F4 is different, the center position of the frustoconical tip of the fixing pin 5A of the flange fixing device 5 can be aligned with the center position of each bolt hole F4 of the flange F.
[0024] Furthermore, it is possible to provide a magnet (not shown) on the flange fixing part 3 to attract the flange F by magnetic force. This makes it easier to fix the flange F, as the flange F is attracted to the flange fixing part 3 (the flange fixing surface 30A of the flange fixing plate 30) by magnetic force simply by placing the flange F on the flange fixing part 3. In this case, a tapered projection is provided on the flange fixing surface 30A that is slidably supported in the radial direction of the pipe P and inserted into the bolt holes F4 of the flange F to regulate the position of the bolt holes F4. This makes it possible to align the center position of the tapered projection with the center position of each bolt hole F4 of the flange F, even if the flanges F are of different sizes and the pitch of each bolt hole F4 is different, by sliding the tapered projection in the radial direction of the pipe P.
[0025] Furthermore, the flange mounting jig 1 has an angle adjustment section 4 for adjusting the angle of two reference surfaces 20A and 20B with respect to the horizontal plane. The angle adjustment section 4 consists of two plate materials provided parallel to the front and rear of the flange mounting jig 1 with respect to the reference surface 20B. The angle adjustment section 4 is rotatable and movable vertically relative to the flange mounting jig 1. Normally, the angle adjustment section 4 is adjusted so that the reference surface 20A is on the horizontal plane, but by making the angle of the reference surface 20A with respect to the horizontal plane adjustable, it is possible to align the reference surface 20A with the axis P0 of a pipe P that is laid at a non-horizontal angle.
[0026] Furthermore, the flange mounting jig 1 includes a spirit level 6 for confirming that the reference surface 20A is horizontal, and a line laser 7 for measuring the angle of the reference surface 20A. The line laser 7 emits a light ray parallel to the reference surface 20A. By adjusting the angle adjustment unit 4 while using the spirit level 6 or the line laser 7, the reference surface 20A can be aligned with the axis P0 of the pipe P that is routed at a non-horizontal angle.
[0027] In the flange mounting jig 1 with the above configuration, a cylindrical pipe P is placed in the pipe fixing part 2 and fixed by the pipe pressing part 21 so as to firmly press it against both of the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B. At this time, the axis P0 of the pipe P is parallel to the intersection line 20C of the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B. On the other hand, the flange F is fixed by the flange fixing device 5 so that the connecting surface F2 makes surface contact with the flange fixing surface 30A of the flange fixing part 3. As a result, the axis P0 of the pipe P and the connecting surface F2 of the flange F are perpendicular, so it is possible to attach the flange F to the pipe P at a right angle.
[0028] Similarly, when attaching a flange F to a pipe P of a different size, the pipe P is placed on the pipe fixing part 2 and fixed by the pipe pressing part 21 so as to firmly press it against both of the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B. The flange F is fixed to the flange fixing surface 30A of the flange fixing part 3 by the flange fixing device 5. At this time, the fixing pins 5A and 5B can move along direction Z within the flange fixing hole 31, and the guide pin 5C can also move within the support hole 32, so the center position of the frustoconical tip of the fixing pin 5A of the flange fixing device 5 can be aligned with the center position of each bolt hole F4 of the flange F, making it possible to attach the flange F to the pipe P at a right angle.
[0029] Thus, in the flange mounting jig 1 of this embodiment, even if the pipes P are of different sizes, by bringing them into contact with the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B and pressing them with the pipe holding portion 21, it is possible to mount the flange F, which is fixed to the flange fixing surface 30A perpendicular to the two reference surfaces 20A and 20B, at a right angle.
[0030] <Embodiment 2> Figure 5 is a front view of the flange mounting jig in the second embodiment of the present invention, Figure 6 is a right side view of the flange mounting jig of Figure 5, and Figure 7 is a top view of the flange mounting jig of Figure 5. In Figures 5 to 7, components common to the components described above are denoted by the same reference numerals, and their detailed descriptions are omitted.
[0031] As shown in Figures 5 to 7, the flange mounting jig 1A in the second embodiment of the present invention has a pipe fixing portion 2A for fixing a pipe P and a flange fixing portion 3A for fixing a flange F. The pipe fixing portion 2A has two reference surfaces 23A and 23B that abut the outer circumferential surface of the pipe P, and a pipe pressing portion 24 that presses down on the pipe P that is in contact with the two reference surfaces 23A and 23B. The two reference surfaces 23A and 23B are open at 120° and abut (at least line contact) the pipe P at two points in the longitudinal cross-section of the pipe P.
[0032] The pipe retainer 24 is supported by a support arm 25 at a position facing the two reference surfaces 23A and 23B. The support arm 25 is provided at the lower end of a support column 26 that is supported so as to be slidable up and down relative to the pipe fixing part 2A. The pipe retainer 24 can move forward and backward toward the intersection line 23C of the two reference surfaces 23A and 23B by sliding the support column 26 up and down, that is, it can move forward and backward toward the axis P0 of the pipe P that is in contact with the two reference surfaces 23A and 23B. The pipe retainer 24 is composed of a pair of rollers 24A, 24A that rotate about an axis parallel to the axis P0 of the pipe P.
[0033] The flange fixing portion 3A has an arm 80 extending from the pipe fixing portion 2A and a flange fixing device 81 provided at the tip of the arm 80. The tip of the arm 80 has a flange fixing surface 80A which is a plane perpendicular to two reference planes 23A and 23B. The flange fixing device 81 is provided opposite the flange fixing surface 80A. The tip portion 81A of the flange fixing device 81 is tapered so that it can be inserted into the bolt holes F4 of the flange F. The flange fixing device 81 is supported so as to be slidable in the radial direction of the pipe P fixed to the pipe fixing portion 2A. The tapered tip portion 81A of the flange fixing device 81 functions as a hole position regulating means that regulates the position of the bolt holes F4 of the flange F. The flange F is positioned and fixed to the flange fixing surface 80A when the tapered tip portion 81A of the flange fixing device 81 is inserted into the bolt holes F4 of the flange F and pressed against the flange fixing surface 80A.
[0034] Furthermore, as shown in Figure 7, the flange mounting jig 1A has a flange position confirmation section 9 for confirming the distance of the connection surface F2 of the flange F from a reference point. The flange position confirmation section 9 is an opening provided in a stepped shape so that the distance from the flange fixing surface 30A can be confirmed. By confirming the distance from the flange fixing surface 30A using this flange position confirmation section 9 and taking into account the thickness of the flange F, it is possible to confirm the distance of the connection surface F2 of the flange F from the reference point.
[0035] Furthermore, the flange mounting jig 1A is equipped with an angle-adjustable spirit level 10. The spirit level 10 is mounted on the upper part of the pipe fixing part 2A so as to be rotatable around the axis P0 of the pipe P with a rotation axis 10A as its center. The angle of the spirit level 10 can be set by selecting from among the multiple fixing holes 11A provided at predetermined angles around the rotation axis 10A on the angle adjustment plate 11 and fixing it with a fixing pin 12.
[0036] In the flange mounting jig 1A with the above configuration, the cylindrical pipe P is placed on the pipe fixing part 2A and fixed by the pipe pressing part 24 so as to firmly press it against both of the two reference surfaces 23A and 23B. At this time, the pipe P is pressed toward the intersection line 23C of the two reference surfaces 23A and 23B by the pair of rollers 24A, 24A, so that the axis P0 of the pipe P becomes parallel to the intersection line 23C of the two reference surfaces 23A and 23B. On the other hand, the flange F is fixed by the flange fixing device 81 so that the pipe fixing surface F1 makes surface contact with the flange fixing surface 80A of the flange fixing part 3A. As a result, the axis P0 of the pipe P and the connection surface F2 of the flange F which is parallel to the pipe fixing surface F1 are perpendicular, so it is possible to attach the flange F to the pipe P at a right angle.
[0037] The flange mounting jig of the present invention is useful as a jig for mounting a flange perpendicular to a pipe.
