Abstract
Description
Dental training device
[0006] ,
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a dental training device.
[0002] Those who intend to engage in work related to dental treatment need to acquire specialized techniques. Therefore, in dental universities and the like, in training for acquiring necessary techniques, for example, a dental practice table device described in Patent Document 1 below (hereinafter referred to as Invention of Document Public Knowledge 1) is used. In Invention of Document Public Knowledge 1, a model of the head of a subject who is a patient and a tray on which handpieces are arranged are attached to the practice table. Since the model and the tray are attached to the lower surface of the top plate of the practice table, they are taken in and out as necessary. Therefore, the model and the tray are housed under the top plate in lecture-style learning and pulled out in front of the top plate during skill practice. Since the model is arranged on the left side of the practice table and the tray is arranged on the right side of the practice table, the user takes out a handpiece with the right hand from the tray on the right side of himself / herself and performs a simulated treatment on the model arranged on the left side of himself / herself.
[0003] Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 9-022248
[0004] As described above, the Invention of Document Public Knowledge 1 has a configuration that is easy for right-handed users to handle, but is difficult for left-handed users to handle. Even if the model and the tray could be attached in a configuration where their left and right are reversed, such work would be complicated and would hinder the progress of the lecture. For example, it also takes time to attach and detach the hoses connected to each handpiece arranged on the tray, and in some cases, it is necessary to place the tray or the handpiece on the floor or the like. However, for those engaged in medical work who consider hygiene, unhygienic behavior lacks morality and is thus not preferable.
[0005] In actual dental treatment, treatment may be performed by a plurality of operators such as dentists and dental hygienists, and since two or more trays are prepared, following this, in the Invention of Patent Document 1, when two or more trays are prepared, replacing the two trays becomes even more complicated.

[0014] The dental training device according to this disclosure is characterized in that the control unit has a model of the head of a person to be treated, and the control unit changes from a model storage state in which the model is close to the control unit to a model usage state in which the model is moved forward from the control unit.
[0015] The dental training device according to this disclosure is characterized in that the control body has a top plate portion on which the first holder portion or the second holder portion slides away from or towards the control body.
[0016] The dental training device according to the present invention comprises a control body for controlling instruments, a base portion extending forward from the lower part of the control body, a first holder portion for holding one or more first instruments, a second holder portion for holding one or more second instruments, a first main arm portion connected to the base portion and the first holder portion, and a second main arm portion connected to the base portion and the second holder portion, wherein the first main arm portion comprises a first rotation axis portion for the first holder portion connected to the upper surface of the base portion with the vertical direction as the axis of rotation, a first arm portion for the first holder portion extending from the first rotation axis portion for the first holder portion in a direction intersecting the axis of rotation, a second rotation axis portion for the first holder portion connected to the first arm portion for the first holder portion with the vertical direction as the axis of rotation, a second arm portion for the first holder portion extending from the second rotation axis portion for the first holder portion in a direction intersecting the axis of rotation, and a third axis portion for the first holder portion extending vertically and connected to the second arm portion and the first holder portion, and the second main arm portion is connected to the base portion It has a first rotating shaft portion for the second holder portion connected to the upper surface and having a vertical axis of rotation, a first arm portion for the second holder portion extending from the first rotating shaft portion for the second holder portion in a direction intersecting the axis of rotation, a second rotating shaft portion for the second holder portion connected to the first arm portion for the second holder portion and having a vertical axis of rotation, a second arm portion for the second holder portion extending from the second rotating shaft portion for the second holder portion in a direction intersecting the axis of rotation, and a third shaft portion for the second holder portion extending in the vertical direction and connected to the second arm portion and the second holder portion, The height of the first arm of the first holder part relative to the base part and the height of the first arm of the second holder part relative to the base part are different to such an extent that the first arm of the first holder part and the first arm of the second holder part do not come into contact with each other, and the distance from the rotation axis of the first rotation axis of the first holder part to the second rotation axis of the first holder part and the distance from the rotation axis of the first rotation axis of the second holder part to the second rotation axis of the second holder part are different to such an extent that the second rotation axis of the first holder part and the second rotation axis of the second holder part do not come into contact with each other. For example, let's assume that the first holder section holds the first instrument used by the dentist, and the second holder section holds the second instrument used by the dental hygienist. If the user of the first instrument is right-handed, the first holder section is moved to the right side; if the user is left-handed, the first holder section is moved to the left side. When the first holder section is on the right side, the second holder section is on the opposite side, the left side, and conversely, when the first holder section is on the left side, the second holder section is on the opposite side, the right side. Therefore, in either case, it is necessary to avoid interference between the holder sections. Furthermore, it is also necessary to avoid interference between the first main arm section that supports the first holder section and the second main arm section that supports the second holder section. In this invention, due to the appropriate design of each main arm section, the main arms section can pass each other without contact, and the positions of the first holder section and the second holder section can be swapped without the main arms section contacting each other. Therefore, it is possible to quickly change to an appropriate arrangement according to the user's dominant hand.

[0018] In the dental training device disclosed herein, the second rotating shaft portion for the first holder portion and the second rotating shaft portion for the second holder portion are adjacent to each other, while the first holder portion and the second holder portion are separated without contact. When the second rotating shaft portion for the first holder portion of the first main arm portion and the second rotating shaft portion for the second holder portion of the second main arm portion pass each other, the first holder portion and the second holder portion do not come into contact. Therefore, it is possible to quickly change to an appropriate configuration according to the user's dominant hand.
[0019] If the positions of the first and second holder sections are swapped, the orientation of each holder section must also be changed. When the orientation of each holder section changes, the usability of the instruments also changes. In the dental training device according to this disclosure, the third shaft for the first holder section is connected to the center of the first holder section with the vertical direction as the axis of rotation, and / or the third shaft for the second holder section is connected to the center of the second holder section with the vertical direction as the axis of rotation, so the usability of the instruments does not change before and after the positions of each holder section are swapped. That is, regardless of the orientation of each holder section relative to each third shaft section, the distance from each third shaft section to each instrument does not change before and after the positions of each holder section are swapped. However, if each third shaft section were connected to a position other than the center of each holder section, there would be instruments positioned close to each third shaft section and instruments positioned far from each third shaft section, so the usability of the instruments would change depending on the orientation of each holder section.
[0020] The dental training device disclosed herein has a control unit that holds a model of the patient's head, and the rotation axis of the first rotating shaft for the first holder and the rotation axis of the first rotating shaft for the second holder are aligned on the straight line through which the model moves linearly. Since the first main arm and the second main arm extend in directions intersecting each rotation axis from the linear motion trajectory of the model, the first holder and the second holder can swap positions with each other without interfering with the model. Therefore, it is possible to appropriately change the arrangement to suit the user's dominant hand.
[0021] In the dental training device disclosed herein, the rotation axis of the first rotating shaft for the first holder part and the rotation axis of the first rotating shaft for the second holder part are the same. Therefore, compared to the case where each rotation axis is separate, the structure is simpler, and the installation space and range of motion of the first main arm part and the second main arm part can be kept small.
[0022] In the dental training device according to this disclosure, the rotational trajectory of the first main arm is outside the rotational trajectory of the second main arm relative to the control body, and the connection base end of the first hose, which is the hose of the first instrument, is connected to the control body at a distance greater than the connection base end of the second hose, which is the hose of the second instrument, with the first hose straddling the second hose. The handling of the first hose is easy when moving the first holder. That is, since the first hose is always above the second hose, when the position of the first holder is swapped left and right, the user lifts the first hose above the second holder and moves the second holder by passing it under the lifted first hose. Therefore, the hoses do not cross each other.
[0023] The dental training device disclosed herein changes between a first holder storage state where the first holder is close to the control body, or a first holder use state where the first holder is away from the control body, and between a second holder storage state where the second holder is close to the control body, or a second holder use state where the second holder is away from the control body. By changing to one of four states (first holder storage state, first holder use state, second holder storage state, and second holder use state), it can accommodate various uses depending on the dominant hand and number of users.
[0024] The dental training device disclosed herein has a control unit that holds a model of the patient's head, and the control unit can change between a model-storage state where the model is close to the control unit, and a model-use state where the model is moved forward from the control unit. By changing between the model-storage state and the model-use state, it can accommodate various training and treatments.
[0025] The dental training device according to this disclosure has a control body with a top plate that slides in a direction away from or towards the control body, with the first holder portion or the second holder portion moving away from the control body. When the first holder portion or the second holder portion moves away from the control body, the user also moves away from the control body in accordance with the holder portion, so the user's hands can no longer reach the top plate of the control body. Therefore, the top plate portion moves along with the first holder portion or the second holder portion, so that it is positioned near the user. Consequently, instruments used for training can be placed on the top plate portion.
[0026] The following is a description of a dental training device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Figure 1 shows the dental training device 1 according to this embodiment housed in a desk 2. Figures 2 to 18 and 22 to 27 show the operation of the dental training device 1. Figure 19 shows a magnified view of a part of the dental training device 1, and Figure 20 shows a disassembled part of the dental training device 1.
[0027] As shown in Figure 1, the dental training device 1 is housed under the tabletop of the desk 2. Casters 3 are attached to the bottom of the dental training device 1, allowing it to be moved freely. Therefore, the dental training device 1 can be pulled out from the desk 2 and used as needed. The position of the dental training device 1 housed in the desk 2 may be on the right or left side of the desk 2.
[0028] As shown in Figures 2 to 5, the dental training device 1 has a base portion 4 which is a generally rectangular flat plate, a control body portion 5 mounted on the base portion 4, a first main arm portion 20 and a second main arm portion 30 connected on the base portion 4, a first holder portion 40 connected to the first main arm portion 20, and a second holder portion 41 connected to the second main arm portion 30. The control body portion 5 has a top plate portion 6 on its upper part, and a model of the patient's head 12 is connected to its front portion via an extendable arm portion 11. The first holder portion 40 and the second holder portion 41 hold one or more instruments (not shown) (hereinafter, instruments held by the first holder portion will be referred to as "first instruments," and instruments held by the second holder portion will be referred to as "second instruments"). The instruments are controlled by the control body portion 5.
[0029] As shown in Figures 6 to 14, the first main arm section 20 and the second main arm section 30 have multiple axes of rotation and rotate relative to the base section 4. The first holder section 40 and the second holder section 41 revolve around the model 12 as the first main arm section 20 and the second main arm section 30 rotate, and stop at any position (hereinafter, the state in which the first holder section 40 is close to the control body section 5 will be referred to as the "first holder section housing state," the state in which the second holder section 41 is close to the control body section 5 will be referred to as the "second holder section housing state," and the first holder section housing state and the second holder section housing state together will be referred to as the "holder section housing state." Also, the state in which the first holder section 40 is away from the control body section 5 will be referred to as the "first holder section usage state," the state in which the second holder section 41 is away from the control body section 5 will be referred to as the "second holder section usage state," and the first holder section usage state and the second holder section usage state together will be referred to as the "holder section usage state.")
[0030] As shown in Figures 14 to 18, the telescopic arm portion 11 extends away from the control body portion 5 and bends towards it. The model 12 moves in a linear motion as the telescopic arm portion 11 extends and retracts, and stops at any position (hereinafter, the state in which the model 12 is close to the control body portion 5 will be referred to as the "model housing state," and the state in which the model 12 is away from the control body portion 5 will be referred to as the "model usage state"). As shown in Figure 18, the top plate portion 6 slides in the direction away from or towards the control body portion 5.
[0031] In the following, the direction in which the model 12 moves will be defined as forward and backward, the height direction of the dental training device 1 will be defined as upward or downward, and the right or left side of the front as seen from the model 12 will be defined as right or left (see Figure 2). The straight line along which the model 12 moves will be defined as the center line 50.
[0032] As shown in Figures 2 to 17, the base portion 4 extends forward from the lower part of the control body portion 5, and the first main arm portion 20 and the second main arm portion 30 are connected to the front end of the extended portion, with a gap between them and the control body portion 5. The rotation axis of the first main arm portion 20 and the rotation axis of the second main arm portion 30 (hereinafter referred to as the "first rotation axis 51") relative to the base portion 4 are the same. The control body portion 5 is roughly a rectangular parallelepiped and has a first main body portion 7 that extends upward from the base portion 4, and a second main body portion 8 that is installed on the first main body portion 7 and widens more than the first main body portion 7 in the front and rear directions. An extendable arm portion 11 is connected to the front of the first main body portion 7. The first rotation axis 51, the extendable arm portion 11, and the model 12 are aligned on the center line 50.
[0033] As shown in Figure 19, the second main body 8 protrudes forward from the first main body 7, and a step portion 9 is formed at the boundary between the first main body 7 and the second main body 8. A wire passage 10 is formed on the lower surface of the second main body 8 at the step portion 9, and the connection base ends of the hoses connected to the multiple first instruments and multiple second instruments are passed through the wire passage 10 and connected to the second main body 8. The first connection base ends 15, which are the connection base ends of the first hoses 13, which are the hoses of the first instruments, are arranged in the left-right direction (three in this embodiment), and similarly, the second connection base ends 16, which are the connection base ends of the second hoses 14, which are the hoses of the second instruments, are also arranged in the left-right direction (two in this embodiment). The first connection base ends 15 are connected to the control body 5 at a greater distance than the second connection base ends 16. Specifically, the first connecting base end 15 is positioned in front of the second connecting base end 16, and the second connecting base end 16 is positioned behind the first connecting base end 15 and closer to the first main body 7 compared to the first connecting base end 15. The first holder portion 40 is positioned on the right side of the dental training device 1, while the second holder portion 41 is positioned on the left side of the dental training device 1. Based on the arrangement of the first holder portion 40 and the second holder portion 41, and the arrangement of the first connecting base end 15 and the second connecting base end 16, the first hose 13 inevitably straddles the second hose 14.
[0034] Next, the first main arm section 20 and the second main arm section 30 will be described based on the drawings. Figure 20 shows the divided first main arm section 20 and the second main arm section 30.
[0035] As shown in Figure 20, the first main arm section 20 is composed of a first main arm first member 21 and a first main arm second member 22. The first main arm section 20 is made by bending a long pipe.
[0036] The first main arm first member 21 is generally L-shaped. The first main arm first member 21 has a first rotating shaft portion 23 for the first holder portion which is connected to the upper surface of the base portion 4 and has a rotation axis in the vertical direction, and a first arm portion 24 for the first holder portion which extends from the first rotating shaft portion 23 for the first holder portion in a direction intersecting the first rotating shaft 51 and has its extended end bent upward. The first rotating shaft portion 23 for the first holder portion is disc-shaped and has an axial hole that penetrates it in the vertical direction. The first arm portion 24 for the first holder portion has a first horizontal arm portion 25 for the first holder portion which extends from the side of the first rotating shaft portion 23 for the first holder portion in a direction intersecting the first rotating shaft 51, and a first vertical arm portion 26 for the first holder portion which extends upward from the extended end of the first horizontal arm portion 25 for the first holder portion.
[0037] The second member 22 of the first main arm is generally L-shaped. The second member 22 of the first main arm has a second rotating shaft portion 27 for the first holder, which is connected to the first vertical arm portion 26 of the first holder portion first arm portion 24 and has a vertical axis of rotation (hereinafter referred to as the "second rotating shaft 52 of the first main arm"), a second arm portion 28 for the first holder, which extends from the second rotating shaft portion 27 and is bent in a direction that intersects the second rotating shaft 52 of the first main arm, and a third shaft portion 29 for the first holder, which extends in the vertical direction and is connected to the second arm portion 28 and the first holder portion 40. The third shaft portion 29 for the first holder has a vertical axis of rotation (hereinafter referred to as the "third rotating shaft 53 of the first main arm").
[0038] The second main arm section 30, like the first main arm section 20, is composed of a second main arm first member 31 and a second main arm second member 32. The second main arm section 30 is made by bending a long pipe.
[0039] The first member 31 of the second main arm is generally L-shaped. The first member 31 of the second main arm has a first rotating shaft portion 33 for the second holder portion which is connected to the upper surface of the base portion 4 and has a rotation axis in the vertical direction, and a first arm portion 34 for the second holder portion which extends from the first rotating shaft portion 33 for the second holder portion in a direction intersecting the first rotating shaft 51 and has its extended end bent upward. The first rotating shaft portion 33 for the second holder portion protrudes downward from a disc-shaped member which is the same shape as the first rotating shaft portion 23 for the first holder portion. The first arm portion 34 for the second holder portion has a first horizontal arm portion 35 for the second holder portion which extends from the side of the first rotating shaft portion 33 for the second holder portion in a direction intersecting the first rotating shaft 51, and a first vertical arm portion 36 for the second holder portion which extends upward from the extended end of the first horizontal arm portion 35 for the second holder portion.
[0040] The second main arm second member 32 is generally L-shaped. The second main arm second member 32 has a second rotating shaft portion 37 for the second holder portion, which is connected to the first vertical arm portion 36 for the second holder portion of the first arm portion 34 for the second holder portion and has a vertical axis of rotation (hereinafter referred to as the "second main arm second rotating shaft 54"), a second arm portion 38 for the second holder portion which extends from the second rotating shaft portion 37 and is bent in a direction that intersects the second main arm second rotating shaft 54, and a third shaft portion 39 for the second holder portion which extends in the vertical direction and is connected to the second arm portion 38 and the second holder portion 41. The third shaft portion 39 for the second holder portion has a vertical axis of rotation (hereinafter referred to as the "second main arm third rotating shaft 55").
[0041] The first rotating shaft portion 33 for the second holder section of the first member 31 of the second main arm is inserted from above into the shaft hole of the first rotating shaft portion 23 for the first holder section of the first member 21 of the first main arm via a spacer 42. Therefore, the axis of rotation of the first rotating shaft portion 23 for the first holder section and the axis of rotation of the first rotating shaft portion 33 for the second holder section are coaxial first rotating shafts 51. The first horizontal arm portion 25 for the first holder section of the first member 21 of the first main arm and the first horizontal arm portion 35 for the second holder section of the first member 31 of the second main arm have different lengths. Specifically, the length of the first horizontal arm portion 25 for the first holder section is longer than the length of the first horizontal arm portion 35 for the second holder section. The first vertical arm portion 26 for the first holder section of the first member 21 of the first main arm and the first vertical arm portion 36 for the second holder section of the first member 31 of the second main arm have different lengths. Specifically, the length of the first vertical arm 26 for the first holder is longer than the length of the first vertical arm 36 for the second holder.
[0042] As shown in Figure 21, the third shaft portion 29 for the first holder portion is connected to the center of the lower surface of the first holder portion 40 with the vertical direction as the axis of rotation. Similarly, the third shaft portion 39 for the second holder portion is connected to the center of the lower surface of the second holder portion 41 with the vertical direction as the axis of rotation.
[0043] As shown in Figures 22 to 27, the first main arm portion 20 and the second main arm portion 30 pass each other without interfering with each other when rotating relative to the base portion 4. Therefore, the positions of the first holder portion 40 and the second holder portion 41 are swapped as the first main arm portion 20 and the second main arm portion 30 pass each other.
[0044] Specifically, the first rotating shaft portion 23 for the first holder portion of the first main arm first member 21 and the first rotating shaft portion 33 for the second holder portion of the second main arm first member 31 are coaxially arranged such that the first rotating shaft portion 33 for the second holder portion is disposed on the first rotating shaft portion 23 for the first holder portion. Therefore, the first horizontal arm portion 25 for the first holder portion extending from the first rotating shaft portion 23 for the first holder portion and the first horizontal arm portion 35 for the second holder portion extending from the first rotating shaft portion 33 for the second holder portion are vertically displaced. Thus, the height of the first horizontal arm portion 25 for the first holder portion and the height of the first horizontal arm portion 35 for the second holder portion are different with respect to the base portion 4, and the first horizontal arm portion 35 for the second holder portion is disposed above the first horizontal arm portion 25 for the first holder portion.
[0045] Since the length of the first horizontal arm portion 25 for the first holder portion of the first main arm first member 21 is longer than the length of the first horizontal arm portion 35 for the second holder portion of the second main arm first member 31, the first vertical arm portion 26 for the first holder portion of the first main arm first member 21 and the first vertical arm portion 36 for the second holder portion of the second main arm first member 31 are displaced front and back. Therefore, the distance from the first rotating shaft 51 to the second rotating shaft 52 of the first main arm is different from the distance from the first rotating shaft 51 to the second rotating shaft 54 of the second main arm, and the distance from the first rotating shaft 51 to the second rotating shaft 52 of the first main arm is longer than the distance from the first rotating shaft 51 to the second rotating shaft 54 of the second main arm. Also, the first vertical arm portion 26 for the first holder portion and the second rotating shaft portion 27 for the first holder portion of the first main arm second member 22 and the first vertical arm portion 36 for the second holder portion and the second rotating shaft portion 37 for the second holder portion of the second main arm second member 32 are displaced front and back in an adjacent state.
[0046] As described above, the dental training device 1 is configured. Next, the operation and effects of the dental training device 1 will be described.
[0047] In the dental training device 1, the first horizontal arm portion 25 for the first holder portion and the first horizontal arm portion 35 for the second holder portion are vertically displaced, and the first vertical arm portion 26 for the first holder portion and the first vertical arm portion 36 for the second holder portion are displaced front and back (see FIGS. 22 and 23). Therefore, when the first main arm portion 20 and the second main arm portion 30 rotate, with respect to the control main body portion 5, the rotation orbit of the first main arm portion 20 is outside the rotation orbit of the second main arm portion 30, and in any case of arrangement, the first main arm portion 20 and the second main arm portion 30 pass by without contact, and the position of the first holder portion 40 and the position of the second holder portion 41 are interchanged. Thus, it is possible to quickly convert to an appropriate arrangement according to the dominant hand of the user.
[0048] The third shaft portion 29 for the first holder portion is connected to the center of the lower surface of the first holder portion 40, and the third shaft portion 39 for the second holder portion is connected to the center of the lower surface of the second holder portion 41 (see FIG. 21). Therefore, regardless of the orientation of the first holder portion 40 and the second holder portion 41 with respect to the third shaft portion 29 for the first holder portion and the third shaft portion 39 for the second holder portion, the distance from the third shaft portion 29 for the first holder portion to the first instrument and the distance from the third shaft portion 39 for the second holder portion to the second instrument do not change before and after the positions of the first holder portion 40 and the second holder portion 41 are interchanged. Thus, the usability of the first instrument and the second instrument does not change before and after the positions of the first holder portion 40 and the second holder portion 41 are interchanged.
[0049] With respect to the base portion 4, the first rotation shaft portion 23 for the first holder portion, which is the first rotation shaft 51 of the first main arm portion 20, and the first rotation shaft portion 33 for the second holder portion, which is the first rotation shaft 51 of the second main arm portion 30, are aligned on the same rotation shaft (see FIG. 22 etc.). Therefore, not only is the structure simple, but the installation space and the movable range of the first main arm portion 20 and the second main arm portion 30 are sufficient even if they are narrow.
[0050] In the dental training device 1, the first connection base end 15 of the first hose 13 of the first instrument is positioned in front of the second connection base end 16 of the second hose 14 of the second instrument, and the second connection base end 16 is positioned behind the first connection base end 15 and closer to the control body 5 compared to the first connection base end 15 (see Figure 19). The first holder part 40 is positioned on the right side in the dental training device 1, and the second holder part 41 is positioned on the left side in the dental training device 1, so inevitably the first hose 13 straddles the second hose 14. The rotational trajectory of the first main arm part 20 is outside the rotational trajectory of the second main arm part 30, and the first hose 13 is always above the second hose 14, so when the position of the first holder part 40 is swapped left and right, the user lifts the first hose 13 above the second holder part 41 and moves the second holder part 41 under the lifted first hose 13. Therefore, the first hose 13 and the second hose 14 do not cross each other. Thus, it is easy to handle the first hose 13 when moving the first holder 40.
[0051] In the dental training device 1, the first main arm section 20 has a first rotation axis 51, a second rotation axis 52, and a third rotation axis 53, and the second main arm section 30 has a first rotation axis 51, a second rotation axis 54, and a third rotation axis 55. As the first main arm section 20 and the second main arm section 30 rotate relative to the base section 4, the first holder section 40 and the second holder section 41 revolve around the model 12 and stop at any desired position (see Figures 2 to 27). Therefore, it can change to any of the following states: first holder section hoisted, first holder section in use, second holder section hoisted, and second holder section in use, and can be adapted to various uses depending on the user's dominant hand and the number of users.
[0052] In the dental training device 1, the telescopic arm 11 extends away from the control body 5 or bends towards it. The model 12 moves as the telescopic arm 11 extends and retracts, and stops at any desired position (see Figure 14, etc.). Therefore, by changing between a model storage state and a model usage state, it can accommodate various training and procedures.
[0053] In the dental training device 1, the top plate 6 of the control unit 5 slides either away from or towards the control unit 5. That is, the top plate 6 moves in accordance with the change from the holder unit storage state to the holder unit usage state, so that the top plate 6 is always positioned near the user. Therefore, even when the holder unit is in use, the user can reach the instruments placed on the top plate 6.
[0054] In this embodiment described above, "intersecting directions" include orthogonal directions and generally orthogonal directions. Also, the first holder portion and the second holder portion of this embodiment include trays on which the instruments are placed. In other embodiments of this disclosure, the top plate portion does not slide. In yet another embodiment, the third shaft portion for the first holder portion is connected to the center of the first holder portion, while the third shaft portion for the second holder portion is connected to a position offset from the center of the second holder portion. In yet another embodiment, the third shaft portion for the first holder portion is connected to a position offset from the center of the first holder portion, while the third shaft portion for the second holder portion is connected to the center of the second holder portion. In yet another embodiment, the third shaft portion for the first holder portion is connected to a position offset from the center of the first holder portion, and similarly, the third shaft portion for the second holder portion is also connected to the center of the second holder portion. In yet another embodiment, the first rotation axis portion for the first holder portion, which is the first rotation axis of the first main arm portion, and the first rotation axis portion for the second holder portion, which is the first rotation axis of the second main arm portion, are arranged on separate axes relative to the base portion.
[0055] While embodiments of this disclosure have been described in detail above, this disclosure is not limited to the embodiments described above. Furthermore, various design modifications are possible as long as they do not deviate from the matters described in the claims.
