Abstract
Description
Clothes
[0001] The present invention relates to clothes such as jackets, trousers, skirts, etc.
[0002] Conventionally, various improvements have been made regarding clothes. For example, in Japanese Patent No. 6422602, a main body part having a pair of collar edge parts and a body circumference part located below the collar edge parts, two bell sleeves connected to the main body part, and a belt part wound around the body circumference part are provided. One of the collar edge parts is fixed to the other, and a piece of clothing having a plurality of bell sleeve irregularities extending in a direction orthogonal to the direction along the cuff from the base is proposed. According to Japanese Patent No. 6422602, it is possible to provide a piece of clothing that looks similar to a kimono.
[0003] In conventional clothes, even if the person wearing the clothes grows or, for some reason, tries to transfer them to another person, due to changes or differences in body shape, the continuous wearing of the clothes becomes impossible, and as a result, they are often discarded. In order to effectively utilize limited resources or, in general, from the perspective of SDGs including environmental protection, it has become a demand of the times to minimize such waste.
[0004] The present invention aims to minimize the waste of fabric generated during the process of making clothes (during cutting), and by using the fabric that was conventionally discarded, it is possible to resize, especially to increase the size, and freely respond to changes and differences in body shape, thereby expanding the scope of utilization of the clothes themselves from individuals to society as a whole and across generations, and enhancing the utilization value. And it enables the provision of clothes that can change the way clothes are provided, such as discarding them because the body shape has changed or because of boredom, and minimizes the large-scale disposal of clothes, which has become a major issue in today's human society.
[0005] A garment according to a first aspect of the present invention comprises a torso and a pair of sleeves connected to the torso, wherein the connection between the torso and the sleeves constitutes a connecting portion (armhole or armhole), and the torso is composed of a torso side (side of the body), an upper torso end, a lower torso end, a back center line, a front edge and a front placket, a fabric switching portion, and a neckline portion along the neck of the torso, and one or more of the following portions may have expandable adjustment portions: the upper torso end, shoulder (from the shoulder line to the sleeve cap (including the yoke portion)), lower torso end, torso side (side of the body, front edge, front placket, back center line and switching line), neckline, and armhole and sleeve portions.
[0006] A garment according to a second aspect of the present invention comprises a torso and a pair of sleeves connected to the torso, wherein the connection between the torso and the sleeves constitutes a connecting portion (armhole or armhole), the height direction of the torso constitutes the upper end of the torso (including the shoulder seam and yoke), the neckline, the fabric transition portion, and the lower end constitutes the lower end of the torso at the hem of the body, the width direction of the torso consists of the placket and front edge, the center line of the back body, the torso side portion connecting the front and back body, and the fabric transition portion of the body, and one or more of the parts in the height direction of the torso, the parts in the width direction of the torso, the connecting portion, and the sleeves may have an expandable adjustment portion.
[0007] A garment according to a third aspect of the present invention comprises a waist portion and a pair of legs extending from the waist portion, wherein the waist portion and the pair of legs may have adjustable portions that are expandable in the width direction and the longitudinal direction.
[0008] A garment according to a fourth aspect of the present invention comprises a waist portion and a body portion extending from the waist portion, wherein the waist portion and the body portion may have adjustable portions that are expandable in the width direction and the longitudinal direction.
[0009] The ability to flexibly resize the garment would significantly extend its lifespan. Furthermore, by utilizing fabric that would have been discarded in the conventional method for the new adjustment mechanism, fabric waste can be reduced during the garment's manufacturing process.
[0010] The present invention can minimize the amount of clothing that is discarded due to the wearer growing or changing body shape, while also increasing opportunities to reduce the amount of clothing that is discarded when clothing is passed down from previous generations (such as grandparents or parents) to descendants, or when it is given to a third party such as a friend, thanks to the effects of the present invention.
[0011] Figure 1 shows an example in which a jacket is used as the garment according to the embodiment of the present invention. Figure 2 shows a configuration in which a larger seam allowance is used as the adjustment part in the embodiment of the present invention. Figure 3 shows a configuration in which the seam allowance is reduced and the adjustment part is expanded from the state in Figure 2A. Figure 4 shows a configuration in which buttons are used as the adjustment part in the embodiment of the present invention. Figure 5 shows a configuration in which the buttons are removed and the adjustment part is expanded from the state in Figure 3A. Figure 6 shows an example in which trousers are used as the garment according to the embodiment of the present invention. Figure 7 shows an example in which a skirt is used as the garment according to the embodiment of the present invention. Figure 8 shows another example in which a jacket is used as the garment according to the embodiment of the present invention. Figure 9 shows another example in which trousers are used as the garment according to the embodiment of the present invention. Figure 10 shows another example in which a skirt is used as the garment according to the embodiment of the present invention.
[0012] The garment 1 of this embodiment has a torso portion 10 and a pair of sleeve portions 15 connected to the torso portion 10. The connection point between the torso portion 10 and the sleeve portions 15 constitutes a connecting portion (armhole or armhole) 20. The upper end of the torso portion 10 constitutes the upper torso portion (shoulder seam or shoulder line) 50. The side of the torso portion 10 constitutes the torso portion (side of the body) 40. In this embodiment, the garment 1 is described using a configuration in which it consists of a jacket 5, but it is not limited to this and may consist of a dress, a kimono, or a one-piece work suit. Furthermore, as will be described later, the garment 1 also includes trousers 200 and a skirt 300.
[0013] The connecting section (armhole or sleeve opening) 20 is specifically the seam extending from the point where the sleeve cap and shoulder line meet down to the lower side of the armpit, near the base of the armpit. The fit of the connecting section (armhole or sleeve opening) 20 greatly affects the comfort and style of the garment.
[0014] The upper torso (shoulder seam or shoulder line) 50 specifically refers to the highest point of the shoulder, that is, the apex of the shoulder. In particular, for outer garments such as jackets and coats 5, the fit of the upper torso (shoulder seam) 50 to the body greatly affects the overall fit and appearance, so careful design and adjustments are made.
[0015] The torso (side bodice) 40 is more specifically the area from the shoulder to the armpit, located on the side of the body, from below the armhole towards the hem. The torso (side bodice) 40 is a part that affects the fit and ease of movement of garment 1. Pockets may be attached to the torso (side bodice) 40, and darts, pleats, gathers, or ruffles may be added to shape it.
[0016] Regarding the sleeve portion 15, if it is a long sleeve, it covers the entire arm. If it is a short sleeve, it is the portion from the shoulder to the elbow or a portion shorter than that. If it is a three-quarter sleeve, it is the portion that is longer than the elbow and reaches the middle of the arm.
[0017] The garment may have an expandable adjustment section 100 in one or more of the following parts: the upper end of the torso (shoulder seam or shoulder line) 50, the connecting section (armhole or armhole) 20, the torso side section (side of the torso) 40 within each part of the body, and the sleeve section 15, the neckline section, and any part including the fabric switching sections of each part, or in all of the parts. The adjustment section 100 may be expandable by 3 mm or more, 1 cm or more, 1.5 cm or more, 2 cm or more, 2.5 cm or more, or 3 cm or more. In particular, the seam section may be 3.5 cm or more. This applies to all of the adjustment sections 100 described later.
[0018] The adjustable section may have a variable width and length. For example, at the upper end of the torso (shoulder seam or shoulder line) 50, an upper torso adjustment section (shoulder seam adjustment section) 150, which is an adjustment section 100 for adjustment, may be provided. The upper torso adjustment section (shoulder seam adjustment section) 150 may be expandable by, for example, 3 mm or more. The upper torso adjustment sections (shoulder seam adjustment sections) 150 may be provided in pairs symmetrically on either side of the neck. It may also be expandable by 5 cm or more. There is no particular upper limit, but as an example, it may be expandable by 10 cm or less. In this case, cuts, folds, dart lines, etc. may be added to prevent the occurrence of unsightly shapes such as puckering or wrinkles at the seams. Folds include folds, tucks, pleats, gathers, frills, etc., that protrude from the seam toward the surface of the garment and are treated as part of the design.
[0019] A connecting adjustment section (armhole or sleeve opening adjustment section) 120 may be provided, which is an adjustment section 100 for adjusting each of the pair of connecting sections (armhole or sleeve opening) 20. The connecting adjustment section (armhole or sleeve opening adjustment section) 120 may be expandable by, for example, 3 mm or more. It may also be expandable by 5 cm or more. There is no particular upper limit, but as an example, it may be expandable by 10 cm or less. This adjustment section may be provided on one or both sides of the body and sleeve sections. The connecting section of the front and back body pieces that constitute the neckline, and the neck area may also be expandable, and the adjustment section may be provided on one or both sides.
[0020] A torso adjustment section 140, which is an adjustment section 100 for adjusting the torso section (sides of the bodice, etc.) 40, may be provided. The torso adjustment section 140 may have a first torso adjustment section 141 for adjusting the width direction of the torso section (sides of the bodice, etc.) 40. The first torso adjustment section 141 is provided corresponding to both sides, and may have adjustment range on only one side, or only one location, or both sides, and the seams of the fabric in all parts may have adjustment range on one side and both sides, respectively. Each first torso adjustment section 141 may allow for expansion of, for example, 5 mm or more. It may also allow for expansion of 5 cm or more or 10 cm or more. There is no particular upper limit, but as an example, it may be expandable to 20 cm or less, or to 30 cm or less. The torso adjustment section 140 may have a second torso adjustment section 142 for adjusting the length direction of the side of the bodice 40. A pair of second torso adjustment sections 142 are also provided, and the adjustment range may be on one or both, similar to the first torso adjustment section 141. Each second torso adjustment section 142 may allow for expansion of, for example, 3 mm or more. It may also allow for expansion of 5 cm or more, or 10 cm or more. There is no particular upper limit, but as an example, it may be possible to expand it to 20 cm or less, or to 30 cm or less. If the first torso adjustment section 141, which can be adjusted in the width direction of the torso section (sides of the body, etc.) 40, is provided, it can accommodate, for example, when the thickness of the body increases with growth. Also, if the second torso adjustment section 142, which can be adjusted in the length direction of the torso section (sides of the body, etc.) 40, is provided, it can accommodate, for example, when the height increases with growth. In addition to the front edge, placket, back center line of the bodice, seam, and adjustment parts of each section of the bodice, an alternative approach is to prepare attachments such as a placket, side seams, shoulder seams, collar, and additional fabric for the extension section. Depending on the prepared parts and components, there may be functions and fabric widths that can be handled by sewing or buttons. The adjustment section 130 may include buttons, darts, tucks, pleats, and gathers, as well as frills, etc., which can be used as design elements with the fabric facing outwards. In this embodiment, a fold may be used as the adjustment section 130, and the concept of a fold includes folds, tucks, pleats, darts, gathers, frills, and other design expressions of the fabric.
[0021] A sleeve adjustment section 130, which is an adjustment section 100 for adjusting the sleeve portion (including the cuff) 15, may be provided. The sleeve adjustment section 130 may have a first sleeve adjustment section 131 for adjusting the width direction of the sleeve portion 15. The first sleeve adjustment section 131 may allow for expansion of, for example, 5 mm or more. It may also allow for expansion of 5 cm or more. No upper limit is particularly set, but as an example, it may be expandable to 10 cm or less, or to 20 cm or less. The sleeve adjustment section 130 may have a second sleeve adjustment section 132 for adjusting the length direction of the sleeve portion 15. The second sleeve adjustment section (button, dart, tuck, pleat, sleeve seam allowance, attached sleeve, frill, etc.) 132 may allow for expansion of, for example, 3 mm or more. It may also allow for expansion of 5 cm or more. No upper limit is particularly set, but as an example, it may be expandable to 10 cm or less, or to 20 cm or less. If a first sleeve adjustment section 131 is provided that can be adjusted in the width direction of the sleeve section 15, it can accommodate, for example, when the arms become thicker as the child grows. If a second sleeve adjustment section 132 is provided that can be adjusted in the length direction of the sleeve section 15, it can accommodate, for example, when the length of the arms becomes longer as the child grows.
[0022] One or more of the upper torso (shoulder seam) 50, lower torso (hem), connecting section (armhole or armhole) 20, neckline, and sleeve 15 may have an expandable adjustment section 100. Having one or more expandable sections makes it easier to adapt to changes in the wearer's body size.
[0023] The upper end of the torso (shoulder seam) 50, the connecting part (armhole or armhole) 20, the torso seam, and the sleeve 15, or any pair of the respective seam allowances, may have two or more expandable adjustment parts 100 within the whole. Having two or more expandable parts makes it easier to adapt to changes in the wearer's body size.
[0024] The upper torso (shoulder seam) 50, the connecting part (armhole or armhole) 20, each part of the torso, and the sleeve 15, or any pair of seam allowances, may have an expandable adjustment part 100 within the whole. Expandability at any of the upper torso (shoulder seam) 50, lower torso (hem), connecting part (armhole or armhole) 20, torso (side of the body) 40, and sleeve 15 makes it easier to follow changes in the wearer's body size.
[0025] Adjustment parts 100 may be provided at both the upper end of the torso (shoulder seam) 50 and the connecting part (armhole or sleeve opening) 20. By adopting this configuration, it is possible to accommodate, for example, situations where the thickness of the body increases with growth.
[0026] The adjustment section 100 may have a generous seam allowance 101, and the thread may be removed as needed for resizing (see Figures 2A and 2B). Alternatively, an adjustment mechanism such as a slider that allows for stepwise size adjustment may be used. The garment can be fastened with a button 105, and when expanding the size, the button 105 may be removed (see Figures 3A and 3B), or the buttons may be attached in advance according to the size stages. The garment can also be stored in darts, or allowance may be provided through pleats, tucks, gathers, or other design elements such as frills.
[0027] After expansion, button 105 may be fastened with another button fastener. Even when hemming instead of joining the garment, in addition to the seam allowances for the hem, leg belt, and waist, darts, buttons, sliders, pleats, gathers, ruffles, etc., as well as detachable sleeves, detachable waist fabric, detachable belt fabric, etc. may be used.
[0028] As shown in Figure 4, the garment 1 of this embodiment may consist of trousers 200. The trousers 200 have a waist portion 210 that constitutes the waist, and a pair of leg portions 220 extending from the waist portion 210. The pair of leg portions 220 may have leg adjustment portions 170 that become an adjustable portion 100 expandable in the width direction and longitudinal direction. The waist portion 210 may have a waist adjustment portion 175 that becomes an adjustment portion 100, and may be expandable and adjustable in the width direction and height direction. The leg adjustment portion 170 may have a first leg adjustment portion 171 that is expandable in the width direction and a second leg adjustment portion 172 that is expandable in the height direction. The waist adjustment portion 175 may have a first waist adjustment portion 176 that is expandable in the width direction and a second waist adjustment portion 177 that is expandable in the height direction.
[0029] The first leg adjustment section 171 may be provided at one or more locations on the side of the leg section 220 and at the seam of the switching section, covering the entire leg section or 30% or more (preferably 50% or more). The first leg adjustment section 171 may be provided on either the outer side or the inner side of each leg section 220. The second leg adjustment section 172 may be provided at one or more locations at the connection point between the waist section 210 and the leg section 220.
[0030] The first waist adjustment section 176 may be provided over the entire side of the waist section 210 or over 30% (preferably over 50%) of it. The first waist adjustment section 176 may be provided on both sides of the waist section 210. The second waist adjustment section 177 may be provided over the entire upper or lower end of the waist section 210 or over 30% (preferably over 50%) of it.
[0031] As shown in Figure 5, the garment 1 of this embodiment may consist of a skirt 300. The skirt 300 has a waist portion 310 that constitutes the waist, and a bodice portion 320 extending from the waist portion 310. The bodice portion 320 may have a bodice adjustment portion 180 that becomes an adjustable portion 100 expandable in the width direction and the longitudinal direction. The waist portion 310 may have a waist adjustment portion 185 that becomes an adjustable portion 100, and may be expandable and adjustable in the width direction and the height direction. The bodice adjustment portion 180 may have a first bodice adjustment portion 181 that is expandable in the width direction and a second bodice adjustment portion 182 that is expandable in the height direction. The waist adjustment portion 185 may have a first waist adjustment portion 186 that is expandable in the width direction and a second waist adjustment portion 187 that is expandable in the height direction.
[0032] The first bodice adjustment section 181 may be provided over the entire side of the bodice section 320 or 30% or more (preferably 50% or more). The first bodice adjustment section 181 may be provided on both the outer and inner sides of the bodice section 320. The second bodice adjustment section 182 may be provided at one or more locations where the waist section 210 and the bodice section 320 are connected.
[0033] The first waist adjustment section 186 may be provided over the entire side of the waist section 310 or 50% or more (preferably 80% or more). The first waist adjustment section 186 may be provided on both sides of the waist section 310. The second waist adjustment section 187 may be provided over the entire upper or lower end of the waist section 310 or 50% or more (preferably 80% or more).
[0034] Even in embodiments where garment 1 consists of trousers 100 and a skirt 200, the length adjustable by the adjustment part 100 may vary depending on the location. For example, the waist area may be expandable by 3 mm or more, each of the pair of legs of the trousers 100 may be expandable by 3 mm or more, and the bodice of the skirt 200 may be expandable by 3 mm or more. It may also be expandable by 5 cm or more. There is no particular upper limit, but as an example, it may be expandable by 10 cm or less, or by 20 cm or less.
[0035] In this embodiment, the description focused on the fact that it can be expanded by the adjustment unit 100, but this embodiment also includes a form in which it can be reduced by the adjustment unit 100. For example, the seam allowance 101 may be increased to reduce the size (see Figures 2A and 2B), or an adjustment mechanism such as a slider may be used to reduce the size, or the position of the button 105 may be selected to reduce the size (see Figures 3A and 3B).
