Description

[0001] A helmet with a mouth guard that can be rotated 180 degrees

[0002] Technical Field

[0003] This invention is in the field of helmet technology, specifically it is a helmet with a mouth guard that can be rotated 180 degrees.

[0004] Background Technology

[0005] A cycling helmet is the strongest protective barrier for life in cycling sports, as falls during cycling can cause significant damage to a head. Even if the rider is cycling at a low speed along a smooth slope, safety issues cannot be ignored.

[0006] A cycling helmet is mainly composed of the following parts: shell, body, buckle, strap, brim, vent, knob, padding, visor, and mouth guard. The shell is the outermost hard shell of the helmet, made of high-strength plastic or composite materials such as ABS plastic, fiberglass, or carbon fiber, used to disperse impact forces and protect the head.

[0007] The helmets on the market today usually have a fixed mouth guard, which is difficult to take off. When riders need to drink or eat for a period of time, they need to take off the helmet before they can drink or eat. After completing drinking or eating activities, they need to put on the helmet again. This phenomenon does not have a significant impact on riders when the number of times they wear the helmet is small. However, when riders ride for a long time and the helmet is removed multiple times, it is more likely to have a certain impact on riders, that is, the flexibility of helmet use is low, and the mouth guard cannot be opened and closed according to the use case.

[0026] Embodiment

[0027] In order to further explain the technical solution of the present invention, the following provides a detailed explanation through specific embodiments.

[0028] Please refer to Figures 1-3. The present invention provides a helmet with a mouth guard that can be rotated 180 degrees, comprising a helmet body 1, an inner visor 2 is installed at the front end of the helmet body 1 , and the left and right sides of the inner visor 2 are connected to a connecting shell 3, the connecting shell 3 is connected to the left and right sides of the helmet body 1, the front side of the helmet body 1 is equipped with an outer visor 4, and the lower end of the front side of the helmet body 1 is equipped with a mouth guard 5, rotating components 6 are installed on both sides of the mouth guard 5, the rotating components 6 are connected to both sides of the helmet body 1, the rotating components 6 are connected to both sides of the outer visor 4. Therefore, through the cooperation of the rotating component 6 when rotating, when the mouth guard 5 is opened, the outer visor 4 can be opened synchronously.

[0029] Among them, the lower front end of the helmet body 1 is an open shape, and the mouth guard 5 at the lower front end of the helmet body 1 blocks the opening at the lower front end of the helmet body 1 , ensuring that when the opening at the lower front end of the helmet body 1 is unblocked, riders do not need to remove the helmet body 1 and can directly drink or eat, greatly improving the convenience and functionality of the helmet body 1 , without the need to repeatedly remove and wear the helmet body 1.

[0030] Please refer to Figure 4. Here, the inner visor 2 includes an inner visor body 21 built into the front interior of the helmet body 1 for protections like anti glare, anti impact, dust-proofing. There are blocks 22 attached to the left and right sides of the inner visor body 21, corresponding buckles 23 attached to the outer ends of the blocks 22 on both sides for quick docking or disassembly. There are also arc-shaped bars 24 installed on the outer ends of the buckles 23 on both sides for opening and closing the inner visor body 21. There is also a guide rail 25 attached to the outer side of the arc-shaped bar 24 and connected to the interior of the connecting shell 3. Therefore, when the inner visor body 21 is opened and closed, the arc-shaped bar 24 can slide smoothly along the inside of the guide rail 25, ensuring a fast and smooth opening and closing process.

[0031] Please refer to Figures 5-7. The rotating component 6 in this embodiment includes rotating component shells 61 that are clamped on the left and right sides of the helmet body 1 and connected to the left and right sides of the mouth guard 5. The mouth guard 5 can rotate 180 degrees between the two rotating component shells 61. The connecting shaft 62 is installed inside the two sides of the mouth guard 5. The first sliding bar 63 is installed outside the connecting shaft 62 and can slide and cooperate. The guide groove frame 64 is integrally fastened inside the rotating component shell 61 and connected to the outside of the first sliding bar 63. The second sliding bar 65 and the third sliding bar 66 are respectively embedded in the guide groove frame 64, and both the second sliding bar 65 and the third sliding bar 66 are connected to both sides of the mouth guard 5. Therefore, the first sliding bar 63, the second sliding bar 65 and the third sliding bar 66 can slide and cooperate along the inside of the guide groove frame 64 when the mouth guard 5 rotates 180 degrees, and are connected to the first connecting piece 67 inside the rotating component shell 61 and outside the connecting shaft 62. The second connecting piece 68 is connected to the outer side of the first connecting piece 67 and is connected to the left and right sides of the outer visor 4. The lower end of the second connecting piece 68 is rotatably connected to the inside of the rotating component shell 61. Therefore, both the first connecting piece 67 and the second connecting piece 68 can be connected to the outer side of the connecting shaft 62, and can be moved by the connecting shaft 62 to achieve auxiliary opening and closing of the outer visor 4. Under the connection of the second connecting piece 68, the outer visor 4 can also be freely manually opened and closed as a whole, such that after the mouth guard 5 is rotated 180 degrees, it will not affect the manual opening and closing of the outer visor 4. In a further embodiment, the first connecting piece 67 includes a long groove 671 in the middle of the first connecting piece 67 and connected to the outside of the connecting shaft 62, which can cooperate with the long groove 671 to achieve stable linear sliding between the connecting shaft 62 and the first sliding bar 63. The limiting groove 672 opened on the outside of the first connecting piece 67 and connected to the outer sides of the first sliding bar 63, the second sliding bar 65, and the third sliding bar 66 can ensure smooth and stable sliding process of the first sliding bar 63, the second sliding bar 65, and the third sliding bar 66 through cooperation of the limiting groove 672.

[0032] In a further embodiment, the guide groove frame 64 is composed of three connected hollow strips, and the hollow part in the middle of the guide groove frame 64 is aligned with the direction of the long slot 671 opened inside the first connecting piece 67, ensuring that the connecting shaft 62 can be inserted into the guide groove frame 64 and the long slot 671 to achieve smooth flipping and sliding of the first sliding bar 63 as a whole, the shape of the limiting groove 672 opened on the outer side of the first connecting piece 67 is consistent with the guide groove frame 64, and the first sliding bar 63, the second sliding bar 65, and the third sliding bar 66 are all connected between the first connecting piece 67 and the guide groove frame 64, ensuring that the limiting groove 672 and the guide groove frame 64 cooperate with each other and achieve efficient sliding and docking activities for the first sliding bar 63, the second sliding bar 65, and the third sliding bar 66.

[0033] In a further embodiment, the lower end of the middle part of the second connecting piece 68 is arranged in a concave shape, and the end of the concave part of the second connecting piece 68 is in contact with the outer side of the connecting shaft 62, ensuring that when the connecting shaft 62 moves with the rotating activity, it can indirectly push up the entire second connecting piece 68. The working principle is further described below.

[0034] When opening the lower front opening of the helmet body 1 , the mouth guard 5 can be pushed up as a whole to rotate 180° towards the back of the helmet body 1 , and during the rotating process of the mouth guard 5, the connecting shaft 62, the first sliding bar 63, the second sliding bar 65, and the third sliding bar 66 installed on the left and right sides of the mouth guard 5 will be driven to slide and flip along the guide groove frame 64 provided inside the rotating component shell 61. This will assist in achieving a 180° backward rotation of the mouth guard 5, so that the mouth guard 5 can be stably moved to the back of the helmet body 1. With the rotation and opening of the mouth guard 5, exposure of the lower opening on the front side of helmet body 1 can be achieved to facilitate drinking or eating activities, without the need for repeated removal and wearing of helmet body 1, greatly improving the overall convenience of use of the helmet body 1;

[0035] Secondly, when the first sliding bar 63, the second sliding bar 65, and the third sliding bar 66 slide along the inside of the guide groove frame 64, the second sliding bar 65 and the third sliding bar 66 will slide to the relative position on the left side inside the guide groove frame 64. The first sliding bar 63, which is docked with the outer side of the connecting shaft 62, can slide along the inside of the guide groove frame 64 under the guidance of the long groove 671 opened inside the first connecting piece 67. When it cooperates with the mouth guard 5 to rotate, the movement trajectory is to move up first and then down. Therefore, the second connecting piece 68, which is connected to the outer end of the connecting shaft 62, can cooperate in rotating up by the movement of the connecting shaft 62 through the connection of the concave part on the outer side. This can make the outer visor 4 automatically open as a whole. At the same time, after the mouth guard 5 completes a 180° rotation to open, the outer visor 4 can also be freely rotated down and closed by cooperating with the second connecting pieces 6 on the left and right sides, it is not necessary to reset the mouth guard 5 before closing the outer visor 4. Therefore, when the mouth guard 5 is opened, the outer visor 4 can be synchronously opened to expose the user's face. When the mouth guard 5 is reset later, the outer visor 4 can be manually closed freely. Furthermore, when the mouth guard 5 is not open, the outer visor 4 can still be freely opened and closed with the cooperation of the second connecting pieces 6 on both sides, achieving its original purpose. Thus, during the rotation and opening process of the mouth guard 5, the outer visor 4 can be synchronously opened to expose both the mouth and face, further improving the flexibility of the helmet body 1.

[0036] The above description is only a preferred example of the present invention and is not limited to the present invention. Although the present invention has been described in detail with reference to the aforementioned embodiments, it is still possible for those skilled in the art to modify the technical solutions described in the aforementioned embodiments or to replace some of the technical features with equivalent modifications. Any modifications, equivalent substitutions, improvements, etc. made within the spirit and principles of this invention shall be included in the scope of protection of this invention.
