Abstract

The present invention relates to a cotton bud with an internal channel comprising a hollow stick, the ends of which are externally covered with cotton, leaving holes in the centre that are not covered at the tips. In this way, an internal channel is formed that makes up the entire longitudinal interior of the hollow stick and can have spiral-shaped notch. As such, when a user uses the cotton bud, the external ends of the stick clean the user's ear canal via the cotton, while the internal part facilitates the entry of ear wax through the holes and into the channel, thereby reducing the accumulation of ear wax pushed towards the internal part of the ear canal.

[0004] This invention is applicable in the field of personal hygiene and pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the cleaning of the ear canal, and relates to a swab with an internal channel.

[0005] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0006] Currently, there are different types of disposable ear cleaning swabs, such as the traditional cotton swab and the foam swab, among others. For example, patent document CN219230369U discloses a cotton swab comprising a first connecting rod and a second connecting rod joined by a connecting block. At each end of the connecting rods is a cleaning head and a protective film is disposed over one of the heads. The connecting rods have a limiting ring and a scale bar, so that earwax adheres to and protrudes through viscous substances on the cleaning head. The depth of the cotton swabs entering the ears is observed and controlled by the scales and limiting rings.

[0007] On the other hand, patent document CN106859849A describes a cotton swab consisting of a rod and a threaded cotton head so that by turning the cotton swab it is easier to remove earwax.

[0008] In the aforementioned background, when the swab is cleaning the ear canal, it has the limitation of not having enough free space between the swab and the ear canal, so that it pushes part of the earwax further into the ear canal.

[0009] DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION As a solution to the aforementioned problem, the present invention was developed: A personal hygiene swab with an internal channel, composed of a hollow stick whose external ends are covered in cotton, leaving central uncovered holes at the tips.

[0010] These holes allow the formation of an internal channel that makes up the entire longitudinal interior of the hollow stick.

[0011] Additionally, the inside of this channel may have a spiral-shaped notch to further facilitate the passage of earwax.

[0012] In this way, when a user uses the swab, the outer ends of the stick through the cotton swabs clean the user's ear canal, while the inner part through the holes of the stick facilitates the entry of earwax into the inner channel of the stick, minimizing the pushing of earwax buildup into the inner part of the ear canal.

[0021] The present invention can be materialized in the following way, it being understood that the description should be considered as an example of the principles of the invention and is not intended to limit the broad aspect of the invention to the mode of embodiment used.

[0022] The invention consists of a swab with an internal channel (6) composed of a hollow stick (1) whose ends (5) are externally covered by cotton (2), leaving central holes (3) uncovered at the tips. These holes (3) allow the formation of the internal channel (6) that makes up the entire longitudinal interior of the hollow stick (1).

[0023] In this way, when a user uses the swab, the ends (5) of the hollow stick (1) through the cotton (2) clean the user's ear canal, while the inner part through the holes (3) of the hollow stick (1) facilitates the entry of the earwax into the inner canal (6), minimizing the pushing of the earwax buildup into the inner part of the ear canal.

CLAIMS 1. A personal hygiene swab characterized in that it comprises a hollow stick (1) whose ends (5) are externally covered by cotton (2) leaving centrally uncovered holes (3) at the tips that form an internal channel (6) to the longitudinal interior of the hollow stick (1).

2. The swab according to claim 1 characterized in that the interior of the internal channel (6) has a spiral-shaped notch (4).
