Description

[0001] ROPE CUTTING-GLUING MACHINE

[0002] Field of the Invention

[0003] The invention relates to a rope cutting-gluing machine for cutting and simultaneously gluing polyethylene and polypropylene ropes with suitable fibre-structure properties by means of high- temperature cutting.

[0004] State of the Art

[0005] Fiber-structure is a concept used in construction and building technology and refers to the use of fibers in building materials. Fibers are thin, long and strong thread-like elements integrated into various materials. These building materials are used to increase durability, increase performance and improve the overall quality of structures. In fiber-structure applications, a rope cutting-gluing machine is used to obtain durable and aesthetic results by cutting and gluing the ends of the fibers properly. This machine enables the ropes to be both cut and their ends permanently coated, contributing to the longevity and reliability of the materials. In industrial production processes, the rope cutting-gluing machine increases quality control in fiber-structure projects with its fast and efficient processing feature.

[0006] The rope cutting-gluing machine enables the precise cutting of ropes and the durable gluing of their ends in industrial production processes. These machines are capable of performing both cutting and gluing operations quickly and efficiently, increasing the lifespan and durability of the ropes. The working principle of rope cutting-gluing machines includes two stages: cutting and gluing. A rope cutting-gluing machine has a blade or cutting mechanism designed to cut the rope to a specific length. The rope is placed in the feeding section of the machine and the desired length is determined via a control panel on the machine. Cutting is usually done using a motorized blade. At the cutting stage, the rope is separated accurately and with a clean cut. After the cutting process is completed, the rope ends need to be glued. The gluing process is done to prevent the rope ends from opening and falling apart. At this stage, the rope ends are usually coated with a material that is melted with heat or fixed with chemical adhesives. The machine has a special gluing unit for this process. The gluing unit heats the ends of the rope at a certain temperature and melts them, thus the ends of the rope stick together and form a solid coating. Hot blade cutting machines have been developed to improve and facilitate the process of rope cutting-gluing machines containing a separate gluing unit. Machines that cut rope with hot blades cut the ropes smoothly while simultaneously heating and melting the cutting end, thus preventing the ends from opening and disintegrating. These types of machines ensure long-lasting and durable results by ensuring that the rope ends adhere firmly. These machines, which perform cutting and gluing operations in an integrated manner, provide great convenience in industrial production processes in terms of both speed and efficiency. Current hot blade rope cutting-gluing machines have disadvantages such as the blade temperature setting is not stable, the blade remains cold depending on the heat setting and cannot cut properly, the cold blade is easily deformed and prevents continuous production. As a result, the requirement for a new rope cuttinggluing machine which eliminates the abovementioned problems and the insufficiency of the current solutions makes it necessary to make a development in the relevant technical field.

[0007] Brief Description of the Invention

[0008] The present invention relates to a rope cutting-gluing machine for simultaneous high-temperature cutting and gluing of polyethylene and polypropylene ropes having suitable fibre-structure properties, which meets the above-mentioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages and brings some additional advantages.

[0009] Based on the state of the art, the object of the invention is to eliminate the loss of performance in the cutting and gluing stages due to the change in the blade temperature by keeping the heat source at a constant amperage value in the rope cutting-gluing machine developed.

[0010] The object of the invention is to ensure proper cutting and gluing of ropes with a diameter of 2, 3 or 4 cm, thanks to specially designed cutting blades.

[0011] Another object of the invention is to prevent deformations that may occur and the resulting disruptions in production by keeping the blade temperature stable.

[0012] Another object of the invention is to ensure that the ropes to be cut are grasped securely and held steadily throughout the cutting process, thanks to the strengthening of the blade and jaw connection.

[0013] The structural and characteristic features of the present invention will be understood clearly by the following drawings and the detailed description made with reference to these drawings and therefore the evaluation shall be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into consideration.

[0038] Detailed Description of the Invention

[0039] In this detailed description, a rope cutting-gluing machine (100) developed to be used for gluing polyethylene and polypropylene ropes having the appropriate fibre-structure properties subject to the invention at the same time as they are cut with high temperature effect is described only as an example for a better understanding of the subject matter and without any limiting effect.

[0040] An upper protection cover (102), which provides safety by protecting the upper part of the rope cutting-gluing machine (100) shown in Figure-1 , increases safety during cutting and gluing operations by restricting the access of operators to the machine. A smoke suction fan (101) is positioned above the said upper protection cover (102), removing the smoke and harmful gases generated during the cutting process to keep the working area clean and safe. On the side of the aforementioned upper protection cover (102), the product outlet (103), from which the ropes cut and glued for transporting the products to the outside after the process is completed, and the product inlet (108), where the rope is placed in the rope cutting-gluing machine (100) and prepared for the process, are mutually positioned. On the inner side of the aforementioned upper protection cover (102), a compression piston (104) is positioned to stabilize the rope in order to prevent the rope from moving during cutting and gluing operations and to increase the process precision. A machine body (106), which carries all components of the rope cutting-gluing machine (100), ensures robust and stable operation. A power source (105), which is positioned inside said machine body (106) and supplies energy to all electrical components of the rope cutting-gluing machine (100), provides the continuous and constant electric current necessary for the proper operation of the rope cutting-gluing machine (100) and for keeping the temperature setting of the cutting blade (118) stable. In the side part of said machine body (106), a heat dissipating cooling fan (107) is positioned to prevent overheating of the rope cutting-gluing machine (100) for its long- lasting and reliable operation. A pressing upper jaw (109), which is connected to the compression piston (104), clamps the rope to be cut from above and holds it in place, thus ensuring that the cutting and gluing operations are carried out smoothly. A gluing piston (110) is positioned in the front part of the said pressing upper jaw (109) for gluing the rope ends by heating. An emergency stop button (111) is located on the upper part of the machine body (106), which stops the rope cutting-gluing machine (100) in an emergency to ensure the safety of the operators. A start button (112) is positioned on the upper part of the machine body (106) to start the rope cutting-gluing machine (100). A cutting piston (113) is positioned inside the machine body (106) for cutting the rope to the desired length and smoothly during the cutting operation; A heated cutting blade (118) is connected to the said cutting piston (113), which, while cutting the rope to the desired length, also melts and glues the cut end under the effect of heat. A gluing adjustment screw (114) is positioned to make the necessary temperature and pressing settings for the gluing piston (110). A warning light (115) is positioned on the machine body (106) to inform the operator about the operating status of the rope cutting-gluing machine (100) or any problem. A pressing lower jaw (116), which is positioned at the top of the machine body (106) and to which the cutting blade (118) is connected, clamps together with the pressing upper jaw (109), fixing the lower part of the rope for proper cutting and gluing. An electrical panel (117), where all electrical components of the machine are controlled and connected, is connected to the side of the machine body (106).

[0041] The connection between the said cutting blade (118) and the lower pressing jaw (116) is made mechanically, in accordance with the dimensions, tightly and by ensuring the surface cleaning of the part is appropriate. In this way, conductivity is ensured homogeneously and heat transfer differences and problems in product quality are prevented.

[0042] The power source (105) used to heat the cutting blades (118) and keep the temperature stable is kept constant by adjusting with the ampermeter potentiometer. Stability of the cutting blade (118) temperature is ensured by complying with the technical specifications. The size of the special cutting blades (118) produced on the precision machine has been kept constant, thus the temperature of the electric current flow has been stabilized due to the homogeneous cutting blade (118) remaining constant.

[0043] Polyethylene and polypropylene rope with a diameter of 2 cm, 3 cm or 4 cm is fed into the rope cutting-gluing machine (100) from the product inlet (108). The pre-set compression piston (104) first clamps the upper pressing jaw (109) and the lower pressing jaw (116), while the cutting blade (118), which converts the electric current coming from the power source (105) rope cutting-gluing machine (100) with a setting of 160-200 amperes into heat, starts to cut the rope by moving vertically (up or down). While the cutting blade (118) performs the gluing function on the rope surface with the same melting effect as the direction of movement during cutting, the gluing piston (110) also experiences horizontal pressure and is adhered in cross-sectional form. The cut and glued rope is advanced horizontally by the operator towards the product outlet (103) of the rope cutting-gluing machine (100), and the cutting-gluing process is completed.

[0044] In a preferred embodiment of the invention shown in Figure-2, double lower pressing jaws (116) and upper pressing jaws (109) are used and thus the capacity of the rope cutting-gluing machine is increased.
