Description

Automatic analysis system for train operation information records and method thereof

[0001] The present invention relates to an automatic analysis system for train operation information records and a method thereof. More specifically, it relates to an automatic analysis system for train operation information records and a method thereof that collects and analyzes video data and railway operation record data to prevent railway accidents, and establishes safety management measures to prevent railway accidents based on the collected data.

[0002] In the railway sector, a system for recording and analyzing train operation information and status is required to prevent train operation and safety accidents.

[0003] Train operation information (train operation data) is crucial for the safe operation and efficient management of trains; typically, this data is collected by various devices, and the collected information is analyzed manually by humans.

[0004] However, such conventional systems are slow in data analysis and have limitations in providing necessary information in real time. Furthermore, the process of processing and interpreting collected data requires human intervention or mental judgment, which may lead to errors or delays; this can negatively impact the efficiency and safety of train operations.

[0005] Recently, there has been an increasing need for automated systems capable of analyzing train operation information more precisely and in real time. This is because monitoring train operation status in real time allows for the early identification and rapid response to potential problems, thereby enabling efficient operational management.

[0006] In particular, if the collection, storage, and analysis of data are performed automatically through an analysis system, the performance and safety of train operations can be improved continuously and in real time without human intervention or mental judgment.

[0007] Accordingly, in this technology field, there is a need for technology development to collect and analyze railway operation-related data and establish railway operation safety management measures based on the analyzed data, in order to perform the role of a railway safety control tower for railway operators and prevent accidents proactively.

[0008] (Patent Document 1) Registered Patent No. 2185220 (Published Dec. 2, 2020, Remote steering wheel system for remote operation of test railway vehicle)

[0009] (Patent Document 2) Registered Patent No. 2698305 (Published Aug. 26, 2024, Virtual commissioning system for railway facilities and method of operating a hybrid energy storage device using the same)

[0010] In response to such technological development requirements, the present invention aims to provide an automatic analysis system for train operation information records and a method thereof, for collecting and analyzing railway operation data to establish a foundation for preemptive accident prevention and for establishing railway safety management measures. However, the purpose of the present invention is not limited to the purposes mentioned above, and other unmentioned purposes will be understood by a person skilled in the art from the description below.

[0011] To achieve the above objective, the automatic analysis system for train operation information records according to the present invention comprises a plurality of operation record collection modules, a network, an operation record analysis server, and a plurality of driver terminals. In this automatic analysis system for train operation information records, the operation record analysis server analyzes the remaining time information of a task based on the image pattern of a CCTV camera collected by an operation record collection module that collects image information on a railway track, and the final arrival time information to the point where the task is performed based on railway operation data provided from a railway operation recorder collected by the operation record collection module, and provides the analyzed information via the network to a driver terminal operating a train approaching the task point.

[0012] In this case, it is desirable for the operation record analysis server to control the transmission and reception unit to send a speed control request to the terminal identification number of the driver's terminal via the network when the final arrival time information is less than the remaining time information by more than a preset threshold.

[0013] In addition, it is desirable for the operation record analysis server to control the transmission and reception unit to request rapid operation via the network to the terminal identification number of the worker terminal or to transmit a request to stop work along with the estimated time information of the train passing when the final arrival time information is less than a preset threshold compared to the remaining time information. Furthermore, the operation record analysis server may control the transmission and reception unit to transmit a request to stop work via the network along with danger event information corresponding to the approach of the recognized object to the terminal identification number of the worker terminal when an object is detected according to an object recognition event in the video information provided by the CCTV camera based on the worker's work environment and the detected object is a dangerous target.

[0014] A method for automatically analyzing train operation information records according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a first step in which an operation record analysis server analyzes remaining time information of a task based on a video pattern of a CCTV camera collected by an operation record collection module that collects video information on a railway track, and final arrival time information to a point where a task is performed based on railway operation data provided from a railway operation recorder collected by the operation record collection module; and a second step in which the operation record analysis server provides the analyzed information to a driver terminal operating a train approaching a task point via a network.

[0015] At this time, in the second step, it is desirable to control the transmission and reception unit to transmit a speed control request to the terminal identification number of the driver's terminal through the network when the operation record analysis server is less than the final arrival time information compared to the remaining time information by more than a preset threshold.

[0016] In addition, the second stage can control the transmission and reception unit to request a rapid operation via the network with the terminal identification number of the worker terminal or to transmit a request to stop the operation along with the estimated time information of the train passing when the final arrival time information is less than the remaining time information compared to the operation record analysis server, and when the operation record analysis server detects an object based on an object recognition event in the video information provided by the CCTV camera according to the worker's work environment and the detected object is a dangerous object, to transmit a request to stop the operation via the network along with danger event information corresponding to the terminal identification number of the worker terminal that the recognized object is approaching.

[0017] When using the automatic analysis system for recording train operation information and the method according to the present invention, train operation information is collected and analyzed in real time, thereby performing the role of a railway safety control tower and having the effect of preemptively preventing accidents related to railway operation. However, the effects of the present invention are not limited to the literal description but include everything that a person skilled in the art can infer from the present invention.

[0022] Embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the attached drawings. The embodiments are intended to facilitate the explanation of the present invention and are not limited thereto. The terms used in this specification are for describing the embodiments, and the terms 'comprising' or 'having' mean that a configuration exists. Furthermore, 'transmitting' data or signals from one component to another component means that the data or signals can be transmitted directly to the other component or transmitted to the other component through (via) at least one other component.

[0023] FIG. 1 is a drawing showing an automatic analysis system for recording train operation information according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a conceptual diagram showing the operating principle of the automatic analysis system for recording train operation information, and the present invention is explained using these.

[0024] The automatic analysis system for train operation information records (1) may include a plurality of operation record collection modules (100), a business office maintenance unit terminal (200) for a railway vehicle, a network (300), an operation record analysis server (400), and a plurality of driver terminals (500), etc.

[0025] Here, the operation record collection module (100) may include a CCTV camera (110) and a railway operation recording device (120).

[0026] FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing the components of the operation record analysis server (400) of the automatic analysis system (1) for recording train operation information according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0027] The driving record analysis server (400) includes a transmission / reception unit (410), a control unit (420), and a database (430), wherein the control unit (420) may include a data collection module (421), a data analysis module (422), a data prediction module (423), and a data processing module (424).

[0028] The data collection module (421) collects video information according to the frame rate level for obtaining images of a processable level according to continuous movement of a worker's activity from a CCTV (110) formed on a railway track divided into pre-set zones, via a network (300) from a maintenance unit terminal (200) operated by a railway operator, and stores it in a database (430).

[0029] In the database (430), video information can be stored as a single 'video unit information' along with the first device number, which is the device number of the CCTV (110), and the serial number of the business office maintenance unit terminal (200) that manages the CCTV (110).

[0030] To this end, multiple CCTVs (110), including fixed and mobile cameras, can be installed on railway tracks divided into pre-set zones managed by each business office operating a business office maintenance unit terminal (200), so that there are no blind spots.

[0031] Additionally, the data collection module (421) can collect railway operation data from a railway operation recording device (120) operated by a driver whose terminal identification number matches the terminal identification number of the driver's terminal (500) of a driver operating on a railway track divided into pre-set zones divided by the video recording range of each CCTV (110), and store it in a database (430), or it can collect it directly from the railway operation recording device (120) through a network (300) without passing through the business office maintenance terminal (200) and store it in a database (430).

[0032] In the database (430), railway operation data is stored as a single 'railway operation record unit information' along with the second device number, which is the device number of the railway operation record device (120), and the serial number of the business office maintenance unit terminal (200) that manages the railway operation record device (120).

[0033] The data analysis module (422) can detect and transmit object recognition events according to the work environment in the image information of the 'image unit information', and can also perform analysis based on operation data in the 'railway operation record unit information'.

[0034] Specifically, the data analysis module (422) can store work patterns based on big data in the database (430) for each work type of railway track worker, analyze the worker in the video information by comparing the stored work patterns with the video information, and analyze the risk event information of entering the railway track.

[0035] To this end, a database (430) stores multiple work patterns, and the data analysis module (422) compares the information of the multiple work patterns themselves, or the patterns of the work patterns that are tilted at a preset angle or reversed, with the patterns of the images included in the image information, and not only extracts workers and work types from the image information, but also analyzes risk event information caused by intruders who have illegally entered the railway tracks.

[0036] Additionally, the data analysis module (422) can analyze the safety of the work site based on the railway operation data of a train equipped with a railway operation recording device (120) that provided the 'railway operation record unit information' in the area where the CCTV (110) was installed prior to entering the location of the first device number, which is the device number of the CCTV (110) in the 'video unit information'.

[0037] To this end, the railway operation data included in the 'railway operation record unit information' may include train speed information, train brake operation information, train operation control information, train temperature and machine status information, and train location information.

[0038] Accordingly, the data analysis module (422) can analyze the time of arrival to the work location where the worker is working by utilizing the railway operation data before and after entering the corresponding video shooting section at the first device number, which is the device number of the CCTV (110) in the 'video unit information', and by performing an analysis of the railway operation data before entering the corresponding location where the worker is working.

[0039] The data analysis module (422) can extract information on the average arrival time by type of train from the database (430) in the section from the train's current location to the location where the worker is analyzed to be performing work.

[0040] And regarding the extracted average arrival time information, the final arrival time information can be generated by using a pre-set algorithm, such as a machine learning algorithm, to derive output data corresponding to the final arrival time information based on weights for controlling variables distributed and stored in the DCS DB from the database (430) by a distributed file program for each type of train.

[0041] The weights for adjusting variables may be a first inverse weight for train speed information for each detailed section, a first positive weight for train brake operation information, a second inverse weight based on train operation control information (gear upshifting), a third inverse weight based on train temperature (engine rotational speed) information, and a second positive weight based on machine condition (train pressure) information.

[0042] The data analysis module (422) can generate final arrival time information by adding or subtracting the calculated values obtained by performing a multiplication on the train speed information, train brake operation information, train operation control information (gear upshift), train temperature (engine rotation speed) information, and machine condition (train pressure) information corresponding to the extracted average arrival time information.

[0043] Here, weights for variable control can be collected based on big data and learned based on machine learning. If the algorithm used in the data analysis module (422) is a machine learning algorithm, the machine learning algorithm may be one of a Decision Tree (DT) classification algorithm, a Random Forest classification algorithm, or a Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification algorithm.

[0044] The data prediction module (423) can recognize the type of work according to the work pattern extracted by the above-described data analysis module (422), extract the average remaining time of the remaining work from the current work pattern by type of work, and request the data processing module (424) to transmit the remaining time information to the terminal identification number of the engineer terminal (500) via the network (200).

[0045] The data processing module (424) receives the remaining time information provided by the data prediction module (423) and the final arrival time information calculated by the data prediction module (423), and if the final arrival time information is less than or equal to a preset threshold compared to the remaining time information, it can control the transmission / reception unit (410) to transmit a speed control request to the terminal identification number of the driver's terminal (500) through the network (200).

[0046] Additionally, the data processing module (424) can control the transmission / reception unit (410) to request a quick operation via the network (200) using the terminal identification number of the worker terminal or to transmit a request to stop the operation along with the estimated time information of the train passing when the final arrival time information is less than the remaining time information.

[0047] Additionally, the data processing module (424) can control the transmission / reception unit (410) to transmit a request to stop work along with danger event information corresponding to the object being approached by the terminal identification number of the engineer terminal (500) and / or the worker terminal (no drawing number) via the network (200) when the object detected by the object recognition event by the data analysis module (422) in the video information provided by the CCTV camera (110) according to the worker's work environment is a dangerous object (e.g., unauthorized person, animal, etc.).

[0048] FIG. 4 is a flowchart illustrating an automatic analysis method for recording train operation information according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0049] The automatic analysis method for recording train operation information according to the present invention includes a data collection step (S11), a data analysis step (S12), a data prediction step (S13), and a data processing step (S14), which can be said to be identical to the processes performed by the data collection module (421), data analysis module (422), data prediction module (423), and data processing module (424) described above, respectively.

[0050] The operation record analysis server (400) performs a first step of analyzing the remaining time information of the work based on the video pattern of the CCTV camera (110) collected by the operation record collection module (100) that provides video information on the railway track, and the final arrival time information to the point where the work is performed based on the railway operation data provided by the railway operation record device (120) collected by the operation record collection module (100), and then performs a second step of providing the analyzed information to the driver terminal (500) that operates the train approaching the work point through the network (200).

[0051] In addition, the second step allows the transmission and reception unit (410) to be controlled so that when the operation record analysis server (400) has more than a preset threshold of final arrival time information compared to the remaining time information, it transmits a speed control request to the terminal identification number of the driver terminal (500) through the network (200).

[0052] The present invention can be implemented as computer-readable code on a computer-readable recording medium. The recording medium includes all types of recording devices in which data readable by a computer is stored, and can be distributed across networked computer systems and stored and executed as computer-readable code. Functional programs, codes, and code segments for implementing the present invention can be easily inferred by a programmer skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains.

[0053] The present invention is not limited by the disclosed embodiments and the accompanying drawings, and can be modified in various ways by those skilled in the art without departing from the technical spirit of the invention. Furthermore, the technical spirit described in the embodiments of the present invention may be implemented independently, or two or more may be implemented in combination.

[0054] The present invention relates to an automatic analysis system for recording train operation information and a method thereof, and has industrial applicability.
