Abstract
Description
Valve including a hinge anti-detachment unit
[0001] The present invention relates to a valve including a hinge anti-detachment unit.
[0002] Generally, a swing check valve is a valve (backflow prevention valve) installed in piping constituting nuclear power plants, etc., to prevent fluid backflow.
[0003] Conventional backflow prevention valves consist of a hinge pin, a washer, a plug, a backflow prevention gate, etc., and have a structure in which the hinge pin is fixed to the valve by the fastening force of the plug. However, in a high-temperature and high-pressure environment, if a crack occurs in the plug and the plug detaches, the hinge pin also detaches, causing a problem in which internal fluid may leak.
[0004] In particular, in environments requiring high safety standards, such as nuclear power plants, this can lead to a Loss of Coolant Accident (LOCA), potentially causing serious problems.
[0005] The object of the present invention is to provide a valve including a hinge anti-detachment unit.

[0046] The guide portion (550) is located above the second through hole (520) and reduces the cross-sectional area of the second through hole (520) to guide the movement of the fixing pin (530) when the position of the fixing pin (530) changes.
[0047] The elastic member (560) is located between the guide portion (550) and the second fixing portion (532) and presses the fixing pin (530) toward the first through hole (510). In one embodiment of the present invention, the elastic member (560) may include a spring, but is not limited thereto.
[0048] With reference to FIGS. 3 to 6, the operation of the anti-detachment unit within a valve including a hinge anti-detachment unit according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described.
[0049] FIGS. 3 to 6 illustrate the operation of a detachment prevention unit in a valve including a hinge detachment prevention unit according to an embodiment of the present invention. Specifically, FIGS. 3 and 4 show a release position in which the fixing pin (530) is spaced apart from the coupling groove (410) before the fastening bolt (540) in the detachment prevention unit (500) is operated, and FIGS. 5 and 6 show a fixed position in which a part of the fixing pin (530) is positioned in the coupling groove (410) by the rotation of the fastening bolt (540) in the detachment prevention unit (500).
[0050] Referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, before the fastening bolt (540) is operated, the third fixing portion (533) of the fixing pin (530) is located in the second region (T2), so the fixing pin (530) is located in a release position that is spaced apart from the coupling groove (410). That is, before the fastening bolt (540) is operated, a part of the third fixing portion (533) of the fixing pin (530) is located in a release position that is received into the internal region of the fastening bolt (540).
[0051] At this time, the first fixing part (531) of the fixing pin (530) is spaced apart from the coupling groove (410) and is in contact with the guide part (550), and the elastic member (560) presses the second fixing part (532) so that the third fixing part (533) is received into the internal area of the fastening bolt (540).
[0052] Subsequently, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the third fixing part (533) of the fixing pin (530), which was located in the inner region of the fastening bolt (540) by the first region (T1) of the positioning part (541), is detached and rises. Due to this rise, the first fixing part (531) moves in the direction where the coupling groove (410) is located, and a part of the fixing pin (530) is fitted into the coupling groove (410).
[0053] At this time, the guide part (550) guides the movement of the fixing pin (530) so that the fixing pin (530) is coupled to the coupling groove (410) along the second through hole (520) with a reduced cross-sectional area, and the elastic member (560) is compressed between the second fixing part (532) of the fixing pin (530) and the guide part (550).
[0054] As described above, by rotating the fastening bolt (540), a part of the fixing pin (530) is positioned in the fixed position of the coupling groove (410), thereby the hinge pin (100) is fixed within the receiving space (U) by the washer (400). In addition, even if the plug (300) is displaced from the receiving space (U), the hinge pin (100) is not displaced from the receiving space (U) due to being fixed with the washer (400) located at both ends of the first space portion (U1).
[0055] In the present invention, even if the plug in a valve having a hinge structure becomes detached for any reason, the hinge pin does not become detached through the hinge detachment prevention unit, thereby preventing accidents in which a large amount of internal fluid leaks from the valve. In particular, in the case of nuclear power, it is possible to prevent serious accidents such as a Loss of Coolant Accident (LOCA) in advance. Furthermore, the present invention can be applied to valves installed in the safety injection system of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), which include existing large nuclear power plants, where the size of piping and equipment is smaller and there are many confined spaces.
[0056] Although the present invention has been described with reference to an embodiment illustrated in the accompanying drawings, this is merely illustrative, and those skilled in the art will understand that various modifications can be made to the present invention. Accordingly, the technical scope of protection of the present invention should be determined by the appended claims.
