Abstract
Disclosed are a method and a system for provisioning credentials for direct communication between a first wireless communication device and a second wireless communication device. Exemplary method comprises establishing a secret key between the first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device using physical layer security in a V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) environment. Further, method comprises using the secret key, by the first and second wireless communication devices, to derive one or more keys for establishing the direct communication, or use directly as a shared key for establishing the direct communication.
