AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing X-ray imaging apparatuses face limitations in adjusting the position and size of the X-ray irradiation range due to structural constraints of the collimator, making it difficult for operators to grasp the movable limits, which can lead to confusion and inefficiency in setting and changing the irradiation range.

Method used

The apparatus includes a control unit that moves and fixes shielding members to adjust the X-ray irradiation range, displaying identifiable indications of movable limits on a display unit, allowing operators to easily understand and avoid exceeding these limits, and enabling smooth transitions between different irradiation ranges.

Benefits of technology

This configuration enhances operator convenience by clearly indicating movable limits, preventing unintended range changes and reducing the need for re-adjustments, thus improving usability and efficiency in setting and changing the X-ray irradiation range.

Abstract

An X-ray imaging apparatus (100) comprises: an X-ray irradiation unit (1); an X-ray detection unit (2); a collimator (3) including a first shielding member (131) and a second shielding member (132) for shielding X-rays; an image generation unit (4); a display unit (5); and a control unit (6). The control unit is configured to: move the first shielding member and the second shielding member in a second direction intersecting a first direction to set a first state in which the center position (31a) of an X-ray irradiation range (31) is shifted in the second direction with respect to the center position (2a) of the X-ray detection unit; in the first state, move the first shielding member in a direction opposite to the second direction or fix the first shielding member and move the second shielding member in the second direction to set a second state in which the width (W1) of the irradiation range in the second direction is reduced; and recognizably display the position of a movable limit of the second shielding member in the second direction in the case of setting the second state.
