According to one aspect of the present invention, a method for monitoring drinking behavior of livestock is provided, the method comprising the steps of: acquiring sensor data measured by a sensor worn on the livestock; detecting drinking behavior of the livestock from the sensor data on the basis of a peak signal included in the sensor data; and determining whether the drinking behavior of the livestock is abnormal on the basis of information related to the detected drinking behavior, and, in response to determining that the drinking behavior of the livestock is abnormal, generating information related to a cause of the abnormality.
