AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing methods for identifying and addressing foreign substances in product production lines are time-consuming and costly, requiring external analysis and prolonged shutdowns due to the difficulty in determining the type and cause of foreign matter based on appearance alone.

Method used

A terminal equipped with a camera, display, memory, and control unit using artificial intelligence to analyze foreign objects through a CNN model, inferring their type and source, and outputting measures to prevent further entry.

🎯Benefits of technology

Accurately and quickly identifies the type and cause of foreign objects, enabling prompt corrective actions and reducing production line downtime.

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a foreign matter tracking method capable of accurately and promptly determining, through artificial intelligence, the type and cause of a foreign matter found in a product production line, and a terminal therefor, and provides a foreign matter tracking method comprising the steps of: capturing an image of a foreign matter through a camera; inferring the type and source of ingress of the foreign matter by inputting the captured image of the foreign matter into an artificial intelligence model; and outputting a measure for preventing additional ingress of the foreign matter on the basis of the inferred type and source of ingress of the foreign matter.
