The display panel has N rows of pixels, N being a positive integer greater than 1. The image display method comprises: calculating an average value of data voltages to be displayed of respective pixels in an n-th row, n being a positive integer not greater than N (S11); on the basis of the difference between the average value and a data voltage to be displayed of a pixel to be displayed in the n-th row, determining a grayscale compensation value of said pixel (S12); on the basis of the grayscale compensation value and a grayscale to be displayed of said pixel, determining a target grayscale of said pixel at a current panel brightness (S13); and on the basis of the target grayscale, determining a target data voltage for driving said pixel to perform image display (S14). The problem of crosstalk can be alleviated or even eliminated, thereby improving the image display quality.
