Abstract

Provided are a method and apparatus for editing media content, a device, and a storage medium. The method comprises: in response to a trigger for multiple pieces of media content, presenting first composite media content on an editing track, wherein the first composite media content comprises the multiple pieces of media content, and an editing effect image corresponding to the first composite media content is generated on the basis of first media content among the multiple pieces of media content; in response to a preview position identifier on the editing track being located within a timeline interval of the first composite media content, presenting a preview image of at least one piece of media content among the multiple pieces of media content in a content preview area; and in response to a trigger operation on second media content among the multiple pieces of media content in the content preview area, segmenting the first composite media content into second composite media content and third composite media content on the editing track.
