These products typically consist of oxidative or direct hair dyes. However, an issue arises immediately after dyeing the hair when users may observe a significant amount of color bleeding during the first shampooing. This unexpected color bleeding can lead to a hair color that differs from the initial one achieved directly after dyeing. This phenomenon is particularly undesirable for all users of oxidative dyes, necessitating the development of products that can effectively reduce the color bleeding associated with these dyes.

[0014] The inventors or the present invention have unexpectedly and surprisingly found that treating hair with a composition B according to the independent claims of the present invention after artificially dyeing the hair with a composition A resulted in a strong reduction of color bleeding upon washing and a reduction of potential hair color shift. In addition, the cosmetic properties such as feel, touch, softness and suppleness of the hair were improved after the treatment.

[0054] For the experiments in tables 1 to 3, the compositions A were mixed with an oxidative composition C comprising 2% by weight of hydrogen peroxide and having a pH of 2.5, yielding a ready-to-use hair dyeing composition having a pH of 9.5. 1 g of the ready-to-use hair dyeing composition was applied to Chinese White Hair streaks (2 g) and left for 30 min at 40°C. The ready-to-use composition was then rinsed-off with water and the hair streaks were blow-dried.
