Claims

1. TiO 2 40-80%, La 2 O 3 10-30%, ZrO 2 1-30%, Ga 2 O 3 1-30%, SiO 2 A glass material containing 0-10% and having a refractive index nd of 2.15 or higher.

2. The molar ratio of ZrO 2 / TiO 2 is 0.23 or more, and the glass material according to claim 1.

3. The glass material according to claim 1 or 2, which is substantially free of lead components.

4. The glass material according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the Abbe number νd is 27 or less.

5. The glass material according to claim 1 or 2, which is a substantially ellipsoid with a diameter of 4 to 15 mm and an aspect ratio of 0.59 or more.
