Capacitor unit, capacitor bank and use of a gas thermometer inside an enclosure of a capacitor unit

Abstract

The invention relates to a capacitor unit (12) comprising several capacitor elements (16) and a gas thermometer (22), wherein the capacitor elements (16) are arranged side by side of each other inside an enclosure (14), wherein the gas thermometer (22) is configured as constant volume thermometer and comprises a sealed tube (24) and a pressure sensor (26) arranged at a first end (28) of the tube (24) for detecting pressure changes of a gas inside the tube (24), and wherein the tube (24) is arranged such that at least some parts of the tube (24) are arranged inside the enclosure (14). Furthermore, the invention relates to a capacitor bank (10) comprising multiple capacitor units (12), wherein at least one capacitor unit (12) is configured as described above. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of a gas thermometer (22) configured as constant volume thermometer for determining an occurrence of a hot spot inside an enclosure (14) of a capacitor unit (12).
