Abstract

A slip arc, which comprises a rotor and a stator with open circumferences, is provided for continuous signal and power transmission during unidirectional rotation. Signal and power are transmitted via arc channels that are disposed on the base of the rotor. Continuous signal and power transmission is achieved by introducing multiple contact groups such that arc channels are connected to at least one of the contact groups at any rotation angle of the rotor. X-ray imaging components can be installed on the rotor of the slip arc to form an x-ray imaging assembly. The x-ray imaging assembly can be further used to develop an x-ray imaging device for nondestructive testing or image guidance and assessment in medical applications.
