Golf organizer

Abstract

A golf organizer for storing and organizing golf equipment may include a plurality of panels including a first, a second, and a third panel that are foldably connected to one another. These golf organizer panels may contain at least one flexible ribbon, at least one pentagon- shaped ball marker pocket panel, a wedged-shaped pocket, and a translucent, rectangular partial pocket for keeping golf equipment and personal accessories organized.

[0004] Golf is a sport that combines physical skill, strategy, and mental focus. It is typically played outdoors on a large course where players use different clubs to hit a small ball into a series of holes. A standard golf course contains 18 holes, and the goal is to hit the ball into each hole in as few strokes, or attempts, as possible. To play golf, players may use a variety of equipment such as golfballs, tees, gloves, scorecards, ball markers, rangefinders, divot tools, hat clips, and writing utensils. Aside from golf equipment, players carry other small personal items like keys and wallets with them. While playing golf, these items may be stored in golf bags or in the limited storage areas of a golf cart. The present inventor has found that golf bags are large, and small items can become lost or disorganized. Further, golf bags may not allow for convenient and easy access to golfballs tees, ball markers, gloves, divot tools, and other accessories.

[0005] The present inventor therefore found that it is desirable to provide a way of storing golf equipment that keeps the equipment well-organized, easily accessible, and within close reach when playing or practicing. [0006] The present disclosure details a golf organizer. In some aspects, a golf organizer which may be comprised of a plurality of panels including a first panel, a second panel, and a third panel. The first panel, with an outer surface and an inner surface. The second panel has an outer surface and an inner surface. The second panel is foldably connected to the first panel, such that when the two panels are folded, the inner surface of both panels are parallel and opposite to the inner surface of the other panel. The third panel is connected to one of the first panels or a folding portion between the first and second panel, with the third panel lying opposite from the first and second panels when folded.

[0007] In some aspects, the third panel includes a flexible ribbon attached to a surface which is either the second side of the third panel, the inner surface of the second panel, the outer surface of the second panel, or the outer surface of the first panel.

[0008] An aspect of the ribbon may include a plurality of attachment portions along the length of the ribbon where the attachment portions sit perpendicular to the length of the ribbon and parallel to the attachment surface. This aspect may include distances along the length of the ribbon which separate the ribbon into each attachment portion, with each portion comprised of slacked ribbon in each section between attachment portions. An aspect of the slacked ribbon may form looped portions which may secure at least one object to the attachment surface between the respective looped portions and the attachment surface. The individual looped portions within the plurality of looped portions along the ribbon may be various lengths, including a first loop length created between a first pair of attachment points, a second loop length created between a second pair of attachment points, and a third loop length created between a third pair of attachment points. In some embodiments, the first loop length is greater than the third loop length, and the third loop length is greater than the second loop length.

[0009] In some aspects of a golf organizer, at least one ball marker pocket panel is attached to an attachment surface, the attachment surface comprising one of the inner surfaces of the first panel, the inner surface of the second panel, or the second side of the third panel. The flexible ribbon 102 / 202 / 302 is attached to an attachment surface of the plurality of panels by means of adhesive or stitching, in a direction perpendicular to the length of the ribbon and parallel to the attachment surface of the panels. For example, the attachment surface may be a portion of either the second side of the third panel 130 / 230, a side of the fourth panel 260, or the inner or outer surface of second panel 120 / 220 / 320 / 920 / 1220 or first panel 110 / 210 / 310 / 910 / 1210. The loops may be sized in terms of the length of ribbon between attachment points, or the distance between attachment points, or both, to house particular golf equipment. For example, according to some embodiments, a loop such as the first loop 105 / 205 / 305 is sized to hold a divot tool, a loop such as the third loop 104 / 204 / 304 can hold a beer bottle opener or pencil, and a loop such as the second loop 103 / 203 / 303 can hold a golf tee.

The ball marker pocket panels 106 / 206 / 107 / 207 are attached to an attachment surface of the plurality of panels, such as by means of adhesive or stitching. The golf organizer of any one of the claims 1 or 6, wherein one or more of the outer surface of the first panel, the outer surface of the second panel, the inner surface of the first panel, the inner surface of the second panel, the first side of the third panel, or the second side of the third panel comprise a fabric material.

37. The golf organizer of any one of the claims 1 or 6, wherein one or more of the first panel, the second panel, the folding portion, or the third panel comprise a flexible material, or rigid material.

38. The golf organizer of any one of the claims 1 or 6, wherein one or more of the first panel, the second panel, or the third panel further comprises a stiffener disposed within the one or more of the first panel, the second panel, or the third panel.

39. The golf organizer of claim 38, wherein the stiffener comprises plastic, cardboard, or metallic material.

40. The golf organizer of any one of the claims 1 or 6, wherein the ribbon comprises an elastic ribbon.

41. The golf organizer of any one of the claims 1 or 6, wherein the ribbon is sewed to the attachment surface at the plurality of attachment portions.

54. The golf organizer of any one of the claims 3 or 8, wherein the first edge connecting panel and the second edge comprise an accordion shape such that the shape folds on itself when the third panel is in the closed position and unfolds when the third panel is in the open position.

The golf organizer of any one of the claims 4 or 9, further comprising a strip of material disposed across the inner surface of the second panel, the strip of material being attached at both ends to the second panel along the edges of the second panel, and the strip of material being configured to secure a golf course yardage book, notepad, or notebook between the strip and the inner surface of the second panel.

56. The golf organizer of any one of the claims 4 or 9, wherein the translucent rectangular panel comprises a translucent plastic material.

57. The golf organizer of any one of the claims 5 or 10, wherein the first ribbon looped portions and the second ribbon looped portions are configured to retain objects in a stacked formation.

58. The golf organizer of any one of the claims 5 or 10, wherein the first ribbon and the second ribbon comprise an elastic ribbon.

59. The golf organizer of any one of the claims 5 or 10, wherein first ribbon and the second ribbon are sewed to the attachment surface at the plurality of first ribbon attachment portions and second ribbon attachment portions, respectively.
