Description

Terminal, wireless communication method, and base station

[0001] This disclosure relates to terminals, wireless communication methods, and base stations in next-generation mobile communication systems.

[0002] In the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) network, Long Term Evolution (LTE) was specified with the aim of achieving even higher data rates and lower latency (Non-Patent Literature 1). Furthermore, LTE-Advanced (3GPP Rel. 10-14) was specified with the aim of further increasing the capacity and sophistication of LTE (Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP®) Release (Rel.) 8, 9).

[0003] Successor systems to LTE (for example, 5th generation mobile communication system (5G), 5G+ (plus), 6th generation mobile communication system (6G), New Radio (NR), 3GPP Rel. 15 and later) are also being considered.

[0004] 3GPP TS 36.300 V8.12.0 “Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) and Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN); Overall description; Stage 2 (Release 8)”, April 2010

[0005] In future wireless communication systems (e.g., NR), it is being considered that terminals (user terminals, User Equipment (UE)) will report CSIs (e.g., predicted CSI, predicted RSRP) derived using AI / ML functions. To avoid overloading the UE, the number of CSIs that the UE can report simultaneously is limited based on the CSI processing unit (CPU). However, the processing / hardware required for derivation may differ between reported CSIs using normal functions and CSIs using AI / ML functions.

[0006] However, the settings and reporting of processing units (AI-PUs) when using AI / ML functionality have not been sufficiently considered. This may result in the inability to assign an appropriate processing unit when using AI / ML functionality.

[0007] Therefore, one of the objectives of this disclosure is to provide a terminal, a wireless communication method, and a base station that can assign an appropriate processing unit when using AI / ML functionality.

[0008] A terminal according to one aspect of this disclosure is characterized by having a transmission unit that transmits the maximum number of units (AI-PUs) that simultaneously process specific functions related to Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI / ML) as capability information, and a control unit that performs channel state information (CSI) calculation using AI / ML inference based on the maximum number.

[0009] According to one aspect of this disclosure, an appropriate processing unit can be assigned when using AI / ML functionality.

[0011] (Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology to Wireless Communication) For future wireless communication technologies, it is being considered to utilize AI technologies such as Machine Learning (ML) for network / device control, management, etc.

[0012] For example, for future wireless communication technologies, it is being considered to utilize AI technologies for improving Channel State Information (CSI) feedback, for example, reducing overhead, improving accuracy, prediction, etc. CSI feedback based on AI technology may be called AI-aided CSI feedback.

[0013] Channel measurement / estimation may be performed using at least one of, for example, a channel state information reference signal (Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS)), a synchronization signal (Synchronization Signal (SS)), a synchronization signal / physical broadcast channel (Synchronization Signal / Physical Broadcast Channel (SS / PBCH)) block, a demodulation reference signal (DeModulation Reference Signal (DMRS)), a sounding reference signal (Sounding Reference Signal (SRS)), etc.

[0014] Note that existing CSI may include at least one of a channel quality indicator (Channel Quality Indicator (CQI)), a precoding matrix indicator (Precoding Matrix Indicator (PMI)), a CSI-RS resource indicator (CSI-RS Resource Indicator (CRI)), an SS / PBCH block resource indicator (SS / PBCH Block Resource Indicator (SSBRI)), a layer indicator (Layer Indicator (LI)), a rank indicator (Rank Indicator (RI)), L1-RSRP (Layer 1 Reference Signal Received Power in layer 1), L1-RSRQ (Reference Signal Received Quality), L1-SINR (Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio), L'-SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio), etc.

[0015] In AI-assisted CSI feedback, it is required to reduce this information or feedback smaller information that replaces this information.

[0016] Autoencoders are being considered as one method for AI-assisted CSI feedback. However, specific details such as what to use as input to the autoencoder have not yet been thoroughly investigated. If these are not properly defined, it may not be possible to achieve appropriate overhead reduction, high-precision channel estimation, and highly efficient resource utilization, potentially hindering improvements in communication throughput and communication quality.

[0017] Therefore, the inventors have conceived of a control method suitable for AI-assisted CSI feedback. Note that each embodiment of this disclosure may also be applied when AI / prediction is not used.

[0018] (CSI Feedback Autoencoder) The UE may compress the CSI feedback using an autoencoder (AI / ML encoder). The base station may then reconstruct the CSI feedback using an AI / ML decoder.

[0019] Figure 1 shows an example of CSI feedback using an AI / ML encoder. The UE inputs CSI information to the AI / ML encoder and transmits the encoded bits to the base station (BS). The CSI information is, for example, at least one of the channel matrix information and the precoding matrix information. The base station (BS) receives the encoded bits and inputs them to the AI / ML decoder. The base station can then refer to the decoded CSI information.

[0020] If multiple encoders are configured on the UE, the UE may receive information indicating which encoder to apply. If the UE decides not to use an encoder, it may perform existing PMI reporting (e.g., fall back to PMI calculation / reporting as defined in Rel. 16 NR).

[0021] (Predictive CSI Report) The predictive CSI report may include information on existing CSI-related quantities (L1-RSRP / SINR, CQI, PMI, etc.) and the new CSI-related quantities mentioned above as CSI information, or it may include information on predicted values of existing CSI-related quantities as predictive CSI information.

[0022] A predictive CSI report may include information about one or more time instances (e.g., multiple predictive CSI times) in a single CSI report. The UE may report only the predicted CSI information, or it may report CSI-related information predicted by RS-based measurements (without prediction).

[0023] The UE may determine the number of time instants in a single CSI report based on configured parameters, the UE's capabilities, or specific rules. The UE may also determine the number of time instants and whether to include measurements in a single CSI report based on physical layer signaling (e.g., DCI), higher layer signaling (e.g., RRC signaling, MAC CE), specific signals / channels, or a combination thereof, or based on the UE's capabilities.

[0024] The UE may report in the CSI report whether the CSI-related information is predicted or merely measured. If the time offset is zero, the reported CSI may be measured rather than predicted. The UE may be configured to report either predicted or normal CSI.

[0025] Figure 2 shows an example of a predictive CSI report. In this example, the base station (BS) transmits two RSs (CSI-RS #1, #2), and the UE uses AI to predict the beam quality at a future time t=1 based on the beam measurement at time t=0 (e.g., L1-RSRP measurement). Note that the transmitted RSs are not limited to CSI-RS, but may also be SSB, etc. Hereinafter, the terms predictive CSI report, extended beam report with prediction, extended beam report, and beam report may be interpreted interchangeably.

[0026] The UE reports the predicted CSI measurement as a predicted CSI report. The UE may also report the current (actual, t=0) CSI measurement along with the predicted (t=1) CSI measurement.

[0027] (CSI calculation using AI / ML inference) The UE may calculate the CSI using AI / ML inference. For example, the UE may apply an automated encoder to the predicted RSRP / SINR report and CSI feedback. When the UE applies AI / ML inference, the calculation may be performed using the CPU / GPU. When the UE applies AI / ML inference to the CSI calculation, the CSI processing criteria may be extended to take into account the processing power of AI / ML.

[0028] In the current Rel. 16, simultaneous CSI calculations are limited by CPU capabilities. If the simultaneous CPU processing power exceeds the UE's capabilities, the UE does not need to prioritize updating certain CSI reports.

[0029] Specifically, in the current Rel. 16, UE is the number of concurrent CSI calculations supported N CPU This is indicated by the parameter `simultaneousCSI-ReportsPerCC` within the component carrier and `simultaneousCSI-ReportsAllCC` across all component carriers. UE is N CPU Supporting N simultaneous CSI calculations is necessary for processing CSI reports. CPU This means that it has L CSI processing units (CPUs). If L CPUs are occupied for calculating the CSI report in a given OFDM symbol, then UE is N CPU - It has L unoccupied CPUs. CPU -In the same OFDM symbol where L CPUs are not occupied, if N CSI reports begin to occupy their respective CPUs, then each CSI report (n=0,...,N-1) is O CPU (n)Corresponding to this, the UE does not need to update the N-M CSI reports with the lowest priority (Σ n=0 M-1 O CPU (n) ≤N CPU Let the maximum value of M (0 ≤ M ≤ N) be such that -L holds.).

[0030] (CPU occupancy) The CPU occupancy O CPU The following values can be considered to be set. - When reportQuantity is set to none (TRS is applied), O CPU =0 is set. - When reportQuantity is set to 'cri-RSRP','ssb-Index-RSRP', 'cri-SINR','ssb-Index-SINR' or 'none' (TRS is not applied), O CPU =1 is set.

[0031] Also, in the following cases (1) to (4), O CPU =N CPU holds. (1) At least one of AP CSI-RS and TB without HARQ-ACK is set. (2) The CPU with L = 0 is occupied. (3) CSI is a single CSI in the wideband and corresponds to a maximum of 4 CSI-RS ports without CRI reporting. (4) codebookType is set to typeI-SinglePanel or reportQuantity is set to cri-RI-CQI.

[0032] In other cases, O CPU =K S holds. K S is the number of CSI-RS resources in the CSI-RS resource set for channel measurement. The UE has L CPUs occupied, and Σ n=0 M-1 O CPU (n) ≤N CPU -L is satisfied, and the CSI report may be updated.

[0033] (CPU occupancy time) For CSI reports corresponding to CSI-ReportConfig where the upper layer parameter reportQuantity is not set to none, the CPU is occupied for a predetermined number of OFDM symbols as shown in (1) to (3) below.

[0034] (1) Periodic or semi-persistent CSI reports (except for the first semi-persistent CSI report on the PUSCH after the PDCCH that triggers the report) occupy CPU(s) from the first symbol of the most recent CSI-RS / CSI-IM / SSB opportunity, no slower than the channel measurement or interference measurement CSI reference resource, to the last symbol of the configured PUSCH / PUCCH that transmits the CSI report (e.g., Figure 3A).

[0035] (2) Aperiodic CSI reports occupy the CPU from the first symbol after the PDCCH (including DCI) that triggers the CSI report until the last symbol of the scheduled PUSCH that transmits the CSI report (e.g., Figure 3B).

[0036] (3) The initial semi-persistent CSI report on the PUSCH after the PDCCH trigger occupies the CPU from the first symbol after the PDCCH until the last symbol of the scheduled PUSCH that transmits the report.

[0037] For CSI reports corresponding to a CSI-ReportConfig where the upper layer parameter reportQuantity is set to none, and a CSI-RS-ResourceSet where the upper layer parameter trs-Info is not set, the CPU will be occupied for a predetermined number of OFDM symbols, as shown in (1) and (2) below.

[0038] (1) Semi-persistent CSI reports (except for the first semi-persistent CSI report on PUSCH after PDCCH that triggers the report) are recorded from the first symbol of the earliest transmission opportunity of the periodic or semi-persistent CSI-RS / SSB resource for channel measurement for L1-RSRP calculation to the last symbol of the latest Z 3 It occupies the CPU(s) up to the symbol (for example, Figure 4A).

[0039] (2) The non-periodic CSI report is from the first symbol after the PDCCH triggered the CSI report to the Z of the first symbol after the PDCCH that triggered the CSI report. 3 Z after the symbol and the latest Z after the last symbol for each CSI-RS / SSB resource for channel measurement for L1-RSRP calculation. 3 'The CPU(s) are occupied up to the last symbol between the symbols (for example, Figure 4B).

[0040] (Analysis) As mentioned above, in future wireless communication systems (e.g., NR), it is being considered that the UE (User Environment) will report CSIs (e.g., predicted CSI, predicted RSRP) derived using AI / ML functions. To avoid increasing the load on the UE, the number of CSIs that the UE can report simultaneously is limited based on the CSI processing unit (CPU). However, the processing / hardware required for derivation may differ between the reported values of normal CSIs and CSIs using AI / ML functions.

[0041] However, the settings and reporting of processing units (AI-PUs) when using AI / ML functionality have not been sufficiently considered. This may result in the inability to assign an appropriate processing unit when using AI / ML functionality.

[0042] For example, to prevent the processing load on the UE's AI functions from becoming too high, it is necessary to limit the number of CSIs using AI functions that the UE can report simultaneously, based on the CPU.

[0043] Therefore, the inventors have conceived a method for assigning an appropriate processing unit when using AI / ML functionality.

[0055] In this disclosure, CPU, xPU, AI-PU, AIPU, and GPU may be interpreted interchangeably. Model inference and AI / ML inference may also be interpreted interchangeably.

[0056] (Wireless communication method) <Explanation of terms> The CSI processing unit (CPU) indicates the UE's ability to process CSI measurements or reports simultaneously. The UE is defined as the maximum number of CPUs it supports, N. CPU It may be reported as such (as UE capability information).

[0057] A UE capability that simultaneously processes a specific configuration group / UE capability / UE function / UE function group (which may also be called a function group) related to AI / ML may be expressed as x processing unit (xPU), AI-processing unit (AI-PU), or General processing unit (GPU). The maximum number of supported AI-PUs for a UE is N. AI-PU It may be reported as such.

[0058] <CSI Report / Fallback> Specifications / designs may differ depending on the UE's implementation / capabilities regarding AI / ML processing. For example, one of the following assumptions / options may apply:

[0059] Assumption 1: Whether the UE uses a separate processing unit (AI-PU) for AI / ML CSI reporting. Option 1-1: The UE uses only the CPU. Option 1-2: The UE uses only the AI-PU. Option 1-3: The UE uses both the CPU and the AI-PU. For example, the UE may use [part of] the CPU for basic communication signal processing and pre-processing / post-processing, and the AI-PU for AI / ML model inference.

[0060] Assumption 2: Can the UE implement (or is implementing) a fallback mechanism for AI / ML CSI reporting? Option 2-1: The UE requires separate configuration for fallback reporting. For example, a different CSI report using the conventional parameter range or codebook is configured in the UE. Option 2-2: The UE implements a fallback algorithm by adding CPU usage. For example, if the AI-PU is unavailable, the UE can run the conventional algorithm or AI / ML model using CPU resources, but this will increase CPU consumption.

[0061] Scenario 3: Whether UE's AI-PUs will be shared with AI / ML functions other than CSI. Option 3-1: AI-PUs will be used only for CSI. Note that the 5G-A AI / ML framework may be designed with this option in mind. Option 3-2: AI-PUs will be used in common with other AI / ML use cases (use cases other than CSI). A native / unified AI / ML framework spanning use cases may be considered in the future.

[0062] Figure 5 shows an example of CPU / AI-PU allocation. In Figure 5, a portion of the CPU and a portion of the AI-PU are allocated to AI / ML CSI reports. The remaining portion of the CPU may be allocated to other CPI reports. The remaining portion of the AI-PU may be allocated to other AI / ML functions (functions other than CSI reports, etc.).

[0063] <Embodiment 0> <<Embodiment 0-1>> The UE may transmit (report) the number of supported simultaneous model inference calculations (CPU / GPU count) as terminal capability information (UE capability), and perform CSI calculations using model inference based on the number of simultaneous model inference calculations. Either of the following options 1 or 2 may be applied as the granularity of the UE capability.

[0064] Option 1: The UE may report the above UE capability for each component carrier.

[0065] Option 2: The UE may report the above UE capability across all component carriers.

[0066] Regarding the reporting of the number of supported concurrent model inference computations and their relationship to the CSI processing criteria, any of the following options A to C may be applied. In this disclosure, "number of supported concurrent model inference computations" may be interpreted as "number of model inference processing units used for the model inference being processed."

[0067] Option A: The UE determines the number of model inference computations it can process based on the number of unoccupied CSI processing units, which is determined from the reported number of CSI processing units and the number of occupied CSI processing units. The UE reports the number of concurrent CSI computations supported in Rel. 17, and this number may correspond to the model inference capability. In this disclosure, "number of CSI computations" may be read as "number of CSI processing units used for CSI processing."

[0068] Option B: The UE determines the number of model inference computations it can process based on the number of unoccupied model inference processing units, which is determined from the reported number of model inference processing units and the number of occupied model inference processing units. (The number of model inference computations may be treated separately from the number of CSI processing units.) The UE may also report the number of supported concurrent model inference computations separately from concurrent CSI computations.

[0069] Option C: The UE determines (calculates) the number of model inference calculations that can be processed from the number of unoccupied CSI processing units and the number of unoccupied model inference processing units. In this case, a portion of the model inference calculations may be included in the CSI calculations. The UE may also report the number of concurrent calculations supported for model inference only, and the following equation may hold: (Total number of model inference processing units for supported concurrent model inference calculations) = (Number of supported concurrent model inference processing units for model inference only) + (Number of unoccupied CSI processing units available for concurrent CSI calculations). The UE may apply Option C only if AI / ML model inference is possible on the CPU.

[0070] Options A and B may be combined with options 1-1 and 1-2 above. Option C may be combined with option 1-3 above.

[0071] <<Embodiment 0-1'>> The UE has a maximum number (supported number) of AI-PUs (for example, units that simultaneously process specific functions related to AI / ML) (N AI-PU ) is transmitted (reported) as terminal capability information (UE capability (N) and the maximum number (N) is sent. AI-PU Based on this, CSI prediction / calculation may be performed using AI / ML inference (model inference). Model inference may mean CSI prediction / calculation using AI / ML [inference]. As for the granularity of UE capability, either option 1 or 2 below may be applied.

[0072] Option 1: The UE may report the above UE capability for each component carrier.

[0073] Option 2: The UE may report the above UE capability across all component carriers.

[0074] 《General Case of Option 3-1》 The following processing may be performed on a group of settings / functions / function groups received / reported by the UE: - The UE may report the number of AI-PUs occupied for each setting / function / function group [based on the values of the configured parameters]. The UE reports how many AI-PUs are occupied for a function. - The UE may determine the number of AI-PUs occupied for each setting / function / function group [based on the values of the configured parameters]. The UE may determine the number of AI-PUs occupied by a function based on the specifications.

[0075] 《Special Cases of CSI or Option 3-2》 The UE may report / determine the number of AI-PUs occupied for the received CSI report configuration. The UE may also report / determine the number of CPUs occupied for the received CSI report configuration. For example, the UE may report / determine the following: - The UE reports / determines the number of occupied AI-PUs as zero for the CSI report configuration. The UE may then determine / report the number of CPUs. (Corresponding to Option 1-1 or Option A above). - The UE may report / determine a non-zero number as the number of occupied AI-PUs and assume / determine the number of occupied CPUs as zero for the CSI report configuration (Corresponding to Option 1-2 or Option B above). - The UE may report / determine a non-zero number for both occupied AI-PUs and CPUs (Corresponding to Option 1-3 or the general case above).

[0076] <<Embodiment 0-2>> The UE may determine the number of CPUs (L) occupied (used) for CSI calculations (CSI calculations without model inference) and the number of CPUs (L') occupied (used) for model inference calculations using at least one of the following options 1 to 3.

[0077] Option 1: The UE may determine L and L' based on information related to the AI / ML model being applied. This information may include, for example, at least one of the AI / ML model's functions, parameters, or FLOPs (Floating-point Operations Per Second) of the AI / ML model.

[0078] Option 2: The UE may determine L and L' based on the inputs provided to the applied AI / ML model. These inputs may, for example, be the number of CSI-RS resources in the channel measurement CSI-RS resource set.

[0079] Option 3: The UE may determine L and L' based on the relevant CSI report or CSI-RS settings. These settings may, for example, be the settings of the higher-level parameter reportQuantity.

[0080] <<Embodiment 0-3>> The UE may decide whether to apply model inference for the CSI report based on the remaining number (CPU / GPU) available for model inference calculations. For example, if the remaining number (CPU) available for model inference calculations is not sufficient to cover the CSI report, the UE may not be required to apply AI / ML model inference for the CSI report using the lowest priority rule.

[0081] For example, UE does not require updates for the N'-M' requested CSI reports with the lowest priority (Σ n=0 M'-1 O CPUGPU for AI (n) Let 0 ≤ M' ≤ N' be the maximum value such that ≤ N'CPUGPU for AI-L' holds. N' (N'CPUGPU for AI) is the number of CSI reports required for model inference. CPUGPU for AI (n) This represents the number of CPU / GPU units occupied for model inference calculations.

[0082] <<Embodiment 0-4>> The UE does not need to expect (assume) that a non-periodic CSI trigger state (CSI report) will be set that requires a value (number of calculations / number of CPUs) related to the inference calculation of the AI / ML model that is larger than the value reported by the UE capability.

[0083] <<Embodiment 0-3'>> The UE may receive a designated / configured / instructed priority index for each group of configurations in which the number of occupied AI-PUs is determined or reported to be non-zero.

[0084] For N configuration groups with a non-zero number of occupied AI-PUs, the UE may activate M groups according to the priority index of these groups, where M is the maximum number satisfying the following equation:

[0085]

[0086] O AIPU (n) This is the number of AI-PUs occupied by the nth configuration group, which is set in order of priority index.

[0087] "Activation" means that the UE performs the corresponding function based on the configuration, sends the corresponding signal, or reports the corresponding content. For example, if the configuration group is for CSI reporting, the UE may report the configured CSI if the conditions are met.

[0088] <First Embodiment> <<Embodiment 1-1>> The framework for setting / assuming resource allocation will be described. The settings (Config) may be, for example, CSI report settings.

[0089] In this embodiment, UE is the number of CPUs occupied (O CPU ) and the number of AI-PUs occupied (O AI-PU The UE may receive a value that includes at least one priority. The UE may receive other settings associated with the value (e.g., CSI reporting settings). The UE may receive a first value and a second value associated with the first value, associated with one setting. The UE may receive a first value and a second value associated with the first value, associated with different settings.

[0090] The UE may receive / determine / assume two (or more) configurations (Config) for a group of parameters / functions / function groups [of AI / ML]. Hereinafter, these configurations will be denoted as Config#A, Config#B, etc., but are not limited to this. Three or more configurations may be used.

[0091] Config#A and Config#B (and so on) may be associated based on specifications / configurations / instructions.

[0092] UE may assign priority levels to Config#A, Config#B, etc.

[0093] <<<Case 1>>> For a group of functions / function groups / capabilities / settings / parameters of a UE, the UE may report / determine / assume two or more sets of values (e.g., Value #1, Value #2, etc.). The sets of values and the values (Values) may be interchangeable.

[0094] Value #1 and Value #2 may be associated with the same (single) UE function / function group / capability / configuration based on the specifications / configuration / instructions.

[0095] UE may be assigned priorities such as Value #1, Value #2, etc.

[0096] Figure 6A shows the relationship between Value and Config in Case 1. In Figure 6A, Value #1 and Value #2 are associated with a single setting (Config #A). Also, Value #1 and Value #2 are related. CPU This is the number of CPUs occupied, O AI-PU This is the number of AI-PUs that will be occupied.

[0097] <<<Case 2>>> For two or more associated UE functions / function groups / capabilities / settings / parameter groups, the UE may report / determine / assume a set of values for each group (denoted as Value #1, Value #2, etc.).

[0098] UE may receive or assign priorities to Value #1, Value #2, etc. Alternatively, UE may use the priorities included in the Config if they exist.

[0099] Priority is not necessarily set between related Config#A / Config#B or Value#1 / Value#2. It may also be set between different Config / Values that occupy the same processing resources. For example, priority may be set between all CSI reports and all AI / ML related settings.

[0100] Figure 6B shows the relationship between Value and Config in Case 2. In Figure 6B, Value #1 and Value #2 are associated with separate settings (Config #A and Config #B). Config #A and Config #B are also associated. The UE may assume that Value #1 and Value #2 are associated based on the association between Config #A and Config #B. Priority may be set by Config #A / #B. The UE may report / determine / assume priority based on Value #1 / #2. CPU This is the number of CPUs occupied, O AI-PU This is the number of AI-PUs occupied.

[0101] <<Embodiment 1-2>> The activation of settings / values by UE determination will be described.

[0102] The UE evaluates the conditions specified / set / instructed for settings and values in order of priority, and can activate the settings and values if the conditions are met. This may be a general procedure for all settings.

[0103] If settings / values are associated, the UE may perform the following actions if Value#1 and #2, or Config#A and #B are associated, and Value#1 / Config#A has higher priority: The UE evaluates the specified / set / instructed conditions for Value#1 / Config#A, and if the corresponding conditions are met, activates Value#1 / Config#A. Otherwise, the UE evaluates the conditions for Value#2 / Config#B, and if the conditions are met, activates Value#2 / Config#B.

[0104] Activating Value#X / Config#Y means that the UE will use the Value#X / Config#Y to perform the corresponding function (e.g., report payload generation, transmit signal generation, etc.). Deactivating it means that the value will not be used / applied.

[0105] For example, the above conditions may satisfy either or both of the following: • NR CPU condition: O CPU ≤ (N) CPU - Number of CPUs occupied by other [higher priority] settings). - AI-PU conditions (Embodiment 0-3'): O AI-PU ≤ (N) AI-PU - The number of AI-PUs occupied by other [higher priority] settings.

[0106] <Second Embodiment> This section describes the reporting / determination of the number of occupants for the fallback (setting update / switching) method by the UE.

[0107] <<If option 2-1 above is applied>> If the UE receives two or more configurations (e.g., Config#A and Config#B) and configurations regarding the link between the two configurations, it may assume / determine / report the number of occupied AI-PUs as 0 for one of the configurations (e.g., Config#B).

[0108] UE may assume that settings with an AI-PU occupancy of a non-zero or large number have high priority, or may assign high priority to such settings.

[0109] <<If option 2-2 above is applied>> The UE may assume / determine / report two or more AI-PU occupancy numbers in Value #1, Value #2, etc. The number of AI-PUs occupied in a single set may be zero and may be reported implicitly.

[0110] UE may assume that Values occupied by non-zero / high AI-PUs have high priority, or may assign them high priority.

[0111] <<Example of CSI Report>> If Config#A is set as the setting for the CSI report, the UE may report / assume / determine in at least one of Value#1 and Value#2 of Config#A as follows: Value#1: (O CPU = 0, O AI-PU >0) or (O CPU = N1, O AI-PU >0) Value #2: (O CPU > 0, O AI-PU = 0) or (O CPU > N1, O AI-PU = 0)

[0112] If two CSI report settings, Config#A and Config#B, are configured, the UE may report / assume / determine Value#1 and Value#2 as follows: Value#1: (O CPU = 0, O AI-PU >0) or (O CPU = N1, O AI-PU >0) Value #2: (O CPU > 0, O AI-PU = 0) or (O CPU ≥N1,O AI-PU = 0)

[0113] <Third Embodiment> Switching of Value / Config by UE will be described. UE may switch the value or configuration based on the evaluation of conditions set for the configuration and value.

[0114] The UE may switch Value #1 and Value #2 (or Config #A and Config #B) based on an evaluation (re-evaluation) of conditions associated with a setting / value-related setting (reconfiguration). Switching means activating a specific set / setting and deactivating other sets / settings. The UE may report information about the switch (the value / setting in question, the reason, etc.). The UE may also report which Value / Config is currently active.

[0115] The UE may re-evaluate the conditions for updates to settings related to CPU usage (such as new or updated settings on CSI reports) or updates to settings related to AI-PU usage (such as new or updated settings for features that require AI-PU usage).

[0116] <Supplement> <<Notification of Information to UE>> In the embodiments described above, notification of any information from the Network (NW) (e.g., Base Station (BS)) to the UE (in other words, reception of any information from the BS at the UE) may be performed using physical layer signaling (e.g., DCI), higher layer signaling (e.g., RRC signaling, MAC CE), specific signals / channels (e.g., PDCCH, PDSCH, reference signal), or a combination thereof.

For example, the UE may report or be instructed to report information / instructions such as a parameter name (e.g., "UE ID" instead of "Cell ID" or "ID Value") as an additional condition information / instruction.

[0133] Other signaling methods besides signaling via the network's air interface may include those based on pre-configuration by the UE (e.g., by the UE vendor) or carrier settings provided by the network operator.

[0134] "Model / Functionality for CSI" may refer to a model ID or a CSI report associated with a specific functionality, such as a predictive CSI, compressed CSI, advanced CSI, or CSI of type [x].

[0144] (Wireless Communication System) The configuration of a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of this disclosure will be described below. In this wireless communication system, communication is performed using any of the wireless communication methods according to the above embodiments of this disclosure, or a combination thereof.

[0145] Figure 7 shows an example of a schematic configuration of a wireless communication system according to one embodiment. The wireless communication system 1 (which may also be simply called system 1) may be a system that realizes communication using Long Term Evolution (LTE), 5th generation mobile communication system New Radio (5G NR), etc., as specified by the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP).

[0146] Furthermore, the wireless communication system 1 may support dual connectivity between multiple Radio Access Technologies (RATs) (Multi-RAT Dual Connectivity (MR-DC)). MR-DC may include dual connectivity between LTE (Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA)) and NR (E-UTRA-NR Dual Connectivity (EN-DC)), dual connectivity between NR and LTE (NR-E-UTRA Dual Connectivity (NE-DC)), and the like.

[0147] In EN-DC, the LTE (E-UTRA) base station (eNB) is the Master Node (MN), and the NR base station (gNB) is the Secondary Node (SN). In NE-DC, the NR base station (gNB) is the MN, and the LTE (E-UTRA) base station (eNB) is the SN.

[0148] The wireless communication system 1 may support dual connectivity between multiple base stations within the same RAT (for example, dual connectivity where both MN and SN are NR base stations (gNB) (NR-NR Dual Connectivity (NN-DC))).

[0149] The wireless communication system 1 may include a base station 11 that forms a macrocell C1 with relatively wide coverage, and base stations 12 (12a-12c) located within the macrocell C1 that form a small cell C2 that is narrower than the macrocell C1. User terminals 20 may be located within at least one cell. The arrangement, number, shape, size, etc., of each cell and user terminal 20 are not limited to the configuration shown in the figure. Hereinafter, when base stations 11 and 12 are not distinguished, they will be collectively referred to as base station 10.

[0150] The wireless communication system 1 may utilize Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO). One [virtual] cell (which may be called a supercell, for example) may be composed of multiple [virtual] cells (which may be called subcells, for example). A supercell may correspond to a cell with a fixed physical range, and a subcell may correspond to a cell whose physical range fluctuates quasi-statically / dynamically. In this case, the wireless communication system 1 may be called a cell-free system.

[0151] The user terminal 20 may be connected to at least one of the multiple base stations 10. The user terminal 20 may utilize at least one of Carrier Aggregation (CA) using multiple Component Carriers (CC) and Dual Connectivity (DC).

[0152] Each CC may be included in at least one of the first frequency band (Frequency Range 1 (FR1)) and the second frequency band (Frequency Range 2 (FR2)). A macrocell C1 may be included in FR1, and a small cell C2 may be included in FR2. For example, FR1 may be a frequency band of 6 GHz or less (sub-6 GHz), and FR2 may be a frequency band above 24 GHz. [0154] Multiple base stations 10 may be connected by wire (e.g., optical fiber compliant with Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI), X2 / Xn interface, etc.) or wireless (e.g., NR communication). For example, when NR communication is used as a backhaul between base stations 11 and 12, base station 11, which is the upstream station, may be called an Integrated Access Backhaul (IAB) donor, and base station 12, which is the relay station, may be called an IAB node.

[0165] PDCCH detection may utilize a Control Resource Set (CORESET) and a search space. A CORESET corresponds to the resources used to search for DCIs. A search space corresponds to the search area and search method for PDCCH candidates. A single CORESET may be associated with one or more search spaces. A UE may monitor CORESETs associated with a given search space based on the search space configuration.

[0166] A single search space may correspond to one or more PDCCH candidates corresponding to aggregation levels. One or more search spaces may be referred to as a search space set. [0213] (Hardware Configuration) The block diagram used in the description of the above embodiment shows functional units. These functional blocks (components) are realized by any combination of at least one of hardware and software. Furthermore, the method of realizing each functional block is not particularly limited. That is, each functional block may be realized using one device that is physically or logically coupled, or it may be realized using two or more physically or logically separated devices that are directly or indirectly connected (for example, using wired or wireless connections). A functional block may also be realized by combining the above one device or the above multiple devices with software.

[0214] Here, functions include, but are not limited to, judgment, decision, determination, calculation, calculation, processing, derivation, investigation, exploration, confirmation, reception, transmission, output, access, resolution, selection, selection, establishment, comparison, assumption, expectation, consideration, broadcasting, notifying, communicating, forwarding, configuring, reconfiguring, allocating (mapping), and assigning. For example, a functional block (configuration part) that enables transmission may be called a transmitting unit or transmitter. In all cases, as mentioned above, the method of implementation is not particularly limited.

[0215] For example, a base station, user terminal, etc. in one embodiment of the present disclosure may function as a computer that processes the wireless communication method of the present disclosure. Figure 10 is a diagram showing an example of the hardware configuration of a base station and user terminal according to one embodiment. The base station 10 and user terminal 20 described above may be physically configured as a computer device including a processor 1001, memory 1002, storage 1003, communication device 1004, input device 1005, output device 1006, bus 1007, etc.

[0216] In this disclosure, terms such as apparatus, circuit, device, section, and unit are interchangeable. The hardware configuration of the base station 10 and the user terminal 20 may include one or more of the devices shown in the figure, or it may be configured without some of the devices.

[0217] For example, although only one processor 1001 is shown in the diagram, there may be multiple processors. Furthermore, the processing may be performed by one processor, or it may be performed by two or more processors simultaneously, sequentially, or by other means. Note that the processor 1001 may be implemented using one or more chips.

[0218] Each function in the base station 10 and the user terminal 20 is realized, for example, by loading predetermined software (programs) onto hardware such as the processor 1001 and memory 1002, which allows the processor 1001 to perform calculations and control communication via the communication device 1004, or control at least one of reading and writing data in the memory 1002 and storage 1003.

[0219] The processor 1001 controls the entire computer, for example, by running an operating system. The processor 1001 may be composed of a central processing unit (CPU) that includes interfaces with peripheral devices, control devices, arithmetic units, registers, etc. For example, at least a part of the control unit 110 (210) and the transmitting / receiving unit 120 (220) described above may be implemented by the processor 1001.

[0220] Furthermore, the processor 1001 reads programs (program code), software modules, data, etc., from at least one of the storage 1003 and the communication device 1004 into the memory 1002 and executes various processes accordingly. The program used is one that causes the computer to execute at least a part of the operations described in the above embodiment. For example, the control unit 110 (210) may be implemented by a control program stored in the memory 1002 and running on the processor 1001, and other functional blocks may be implemented similarly.

[0221] The memory 1002 is a computer-readable recording medium and may consist of at least one of the following: Read Only Memory (ROM), Erasable Programmable ROM (EPROM), Electrically EPROM (EEPROM), Random Access Memory (RAM), or other suitable storage medium. The memory 1002 may also be called a register, cache, or main memory. [0222] The storage 1003 is a computer-readable recording medium and may consist of at least one of the following: a flexible disk, a floppy disk, a magneto-optical disk (e.g., a Compact Disk (Compact Disc ROM (CD-ROM)), a Digital Use Disk, a Blu-ray (registered trademark) disk), a removable disk, a hard disk drive, a smart card, a flash memory device (e.g., a card, stick, key drive), a magnetic stripe, a database, a server, or other suitable storage medium. The storage 1003 may also be called an auxiliary storage device.

[0223] The communication device 1004 is hardware (transmitting / receiving device) for communicating between computers via at least one of a wired network and a wireless network, and is also referred to as a network device, network controller, network card, communication module, etc. The communication device 1004 may be configured to include, for example, a high-frequency switch, duplexer, filter, frequency synthesizer, etc., in order to implement at least one of frequency division duplex (FDD) and time division duplex (TDD). For example, the above-mentioned transmitting / receiving unit 120 (220), transmitting / receiving antenna 130 (230), etc., may be implemented by the communication device 1004. The transmitting / receiving unit 120 (220) may be implemented with physically or logically separated transmitting unit 120a (220a) and receiving unit 120b (220b).

[0224] The input device 1005 is an input device that accepts input from an external source (e.g., a keyboard, mouse, microphone, switch, button, sensor, etc.). The output device 1006 is an output device that outputs to an external source (e.g., a display, speaker, light-emitting diode (LED) lamp, etc.). The input device 1005 and the output device 1006 may be configured as an integrated unit (e.g., a touch panel).

[0225] Furthermore, each device, such as the processor 1001 and the memory 1002, is connected by a bus 1007 for communicating information. The bus 1007 may be configured using a single bus, or different buses may be configured for each device.

[0226] Furthermore, the base station 10 and the user terminal 20 may be configured to include hardware such as a microprocessor, a digital signal processor (DSP), an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), a programmable logic device (PLD), and a field programmable gate array (FPGA), and some or all of each functional block may be implemented using such hardware. For example, the processor 1001 may be implemented using at least one of these hardware components.

[0227] Furthermore, devices included in the core network 30 (for example, network nodes that provide NF) may also be implemented using the functional block / hardware configuration described above.

[0228] (Variations) Terms used in this disclosure and terms necessary for understanding this disclosure may be replaced with terms having the same or similar meanings. For example, channel, symbol and signal (signal or signaling) may be used interchangeably. Also, a signal may be a message. A reference signal may be abbreviated as RS and may be called a pilot, pilot signal, etc., depending on the applicable standard. Also, a component carrier (CC) may be called a cell, frequency carrier, carrier frequency, etc.

[0229] A wireless frame may consist of one or more periods (frames) in the time domain. Each of these periods (frames) constituting a wireless frame may be called a subframe. Furthermore, a subframe may consist of one or more slots in the time domain. A subframe may have a fixed time length (e.g., 1 ms) that is independent of numerology.

[0230] Here, the neurology may be communication parameters applied to at least one of the transmission and reception of a signal or channel. The neurology may be, for example, at least one of the following: subcarrier spacing (SCS), bandwidth, symbol length, cyclic prefix length, transmission time interval (TTI), number of symbols per TTI, radio frame configuration, specific filtering processes performed by the transceiver in the frequency domain, and specific windowing processes performed by the transceiver in the time domain.

[0231] A slot may consist of one or more symbols in the time domain (such as Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols or Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) symbols). Alternatively, a slot may be a time unit based on neurology.

[0232] A slot may include multiple minislots. Each minislot may consist of one or more symbols in the time domain. Minislots may also be called subslots. Minislots may consist of fewer symbols than a slot. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted in a time unit larger than a minislot may be called a PDSCH (PUSCH) mapping type A. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted using minislots may be called a PDSCH (PUSCH) mapping type B.

[0233] Wireless frames, subframes, slots, minislots, and symbols all represent units of time when transmitting a signal. Wireless frames, subframes, slots, minislots, and symbols may each be referred to by different names. Furthermore, the units of time such as frames, subframes, slots, minislots, and symbols in this disclosure may be interpreted as interchangeable.

[0234] For example, one subframe may be called a TTI, multiple consecutive subframes may be called a TTI, and one slot or one mini-slot may be called a TTI. In other words, at least one of a subframe and a TTI may be a subframe in existing LTE (1 ms), a period shorter than 1 ms (e.g., 1-13 symbols), or a period longer than 1 ms. Note that the unit representing a TTI may be called a slot, mini-slot, etc., instead of a subframe.

[0235] Here, TTI refers to, for example, the smallest time unit for scheduling in wireless communication. For example, in an LTE system, the base station schedules each user terminal to allocate wireless resources (such as the frequency bandwidth and transmission power available to each user terminal) in TTI units. However, the definition of TTI is not limited to this.

[0236] TTI may be a transmission time unit for channel-encoded data packets (transport blocks), code blocks, code words, etc., or it may be a processing unit for scheduling, link adaptation, etc. When a TTI is given, the actual time interval (e.g., number of symbols) in which the transport block, code block, code word, etc. are mapped may be shorter than the TTI.

[0237] Furthermore, if one slot or one mini-slot is referred to as a TTI, then one or more TTIs (i.e., one or more slots or one or more mini-slots) may constitute the minimum time unit for scheduling. In addition, the number of slots (number of mini-slots) that constitute this minimum time unit for scheduling may be controlled.

[0238] A TTI with a time length of 1 ms may be called a normal TTI, long TTI, normal subframe, long subframe, slot, etc. A TTI shorter than a normal TTI may be called a shortened TTI, short TTI, partial or fractional TTI, shortened subframe, short subframe, mini slot, sub slot, slot, etc.

[0239] Furthermore, long TTIs (e.g., normal TTIs, subframes, etc.) may be interpreted as TTIs with a time length exceeding 1 ms, and short TTIs (e.g., shortened TTIs, etc.) may be interpreted as TTIs with a TTI length less than that of a long TTI but 1 ms or more.

[0240] A Resource Block (RB) is a resource allocation unit in the time domain and frequency domain, and in the frequency domain, it may contain one or more consecutive subcarriers. The number of subcarriers in an RB may be the same regardless of the neurology, for example, 12. The number of subcarriers in an RB may be determined based on the neurology.

[0241] Furthermore, an RB may contain one or more symbols in the time domain and may have the length of one slot, one minislot, one subframe, or one TTI. One TTI, one subframe, etc., may each consist of one or more resource blocks.

[0242] One or more RBs may also be called Physical RBs (PRBs), Sub-Carrier Groups (SCGs), Resource Element Groups (REGs), PRB pairs, RB pairs, etc.

[0243] Furthermore, a resource block may consist of one or more resource elements (REs). For example, one RE may be a radio resource area comprising one subcarrier and one symbol.

[0244] A Bandwidth Part (BWP), also known as a partial bandwidth, may represent a subset of consecutive common resource blocks (RBs) for a given neurology in a given carrier. These common RBs may be identified by an index of the RBs relative to a common reference point of the carrier. The PRBs may be defined and numbered within a given BWP.

[0245] A BWP may include UL BWP (BWP for UL) and DL BWP (BWP for DL). One or more BWPs may be configured within a single carrier for a UE.

[0246] At least one of the configured BWPs may be active, and the UE does not need to assume that it will transmit or receive a predetermined signal / channel outside of the active BWP. In this disclosure, terms such as "cell" and "carrier" may be read as "BWP".

[0247] The structures of wireless frames, subframes, slots, minislots, and symbols described above are merely examples. For example, the number of subframes included in a wireless frame, the number of slots per subframe or wireless frame, the number of minislots included in a slot, the number of symbols and RBs included in a slot or minislot, the number of subcarriers included in an RB, and the number of symbols, symbol length, and cyclic prefix (CP) length within the TTI can be varied in various ways.

[0248] Furthermore, the information, parameters, etc., described in this disclosure may be expressed using absolute values, relative values from a predetermined value, or corresponding other information. For example, wireless resources may be indicated by a predetermined index.

[0249] The names used for parameters and other elements in this disclosure are not restrictive in any way. Furthermore, mathematical formulas and other elements using these parameters may differ from those expressly disclosed in this disclosure. Various channels (PUCCH, PDCCH, etc.) and information elements can be identified by any suitable name, and therefore, the various names assigned to these various channels and information elements are not restrictive in any way.

[0251] Furthermore, information, signals, etc., can be output from upper layers to lower layers and from lower layers to upper layers, or to at least one of the two. Information, signals, etc., may also be input and output via multiple network nodes.

[0252] Input and output information and signals may be stored in a specific location (e.g., memory) or managed using a management table. Input and output information and signals may be overwritten, updated, or appended to. Output information and signals may be deleted. Input information and signals may be transmitted to other devices.

[0253] Any information described in this disclosure (e.g., variables, constants, parameters) may be communicated from any first device (e.g., UE / base station) to any second device (e.g., base station / UE) that indicates / specifies (or relates to) the value of such any information, even if not specifically stated in the embodiments described above.

For example, the communication module 60 sends and receives data (information) via the communication port 63 to the drive unit 41, steering unit 42, accelerator pedal 43, brake pedal 44, shift lever 45, left and right front wheels 46, left and right rear wheels 47, axle 48, the microprocessor 61 and memory (ROM, RAM) 62 in the electronic control unit 49, and various sensors 50-58 provided in the vehicle 40.

[0285] The communication module 60 is a communication device that can be controlled by the microprocessor 61 of the electronic control unit 49 and can communicate with external devices. For example, it can send and receive various types of information to and from external devices via wireless communication. The communication module 60 may be located either inside or outside the electronic control unit 49. The external device may be, for example, the base station 10 or the user terminal 20 described above. Alternatively, the communication module 60 may be, for example, at least one of the base station 10 and the user terminal 20 (it may function as at least one of the base station 10 and the user terminal 20).

[0286] The communication module 60 may transmit at least one of the following to an external device via wireless communication: signals from the various sensors 50-58 input to the electronic control unit 49, information obtained based on said signals, and information based on input from an external source (user) obtained via the information service unit 59. The electronic control unit 49, the various sensors 50-58, the information service unit 59, etc., may also be called input units that accept input. For example, the PUSCH transmitted by the communication module 60 may include the information based on the above input.

[0287] The communication module 60 receives various information (traffic information, signal information, inter-vehicle information, etc.) transmitted from an external device and displays it on the information service unit 59 installed in the vehicle. The information service unit 59 may also be called an output unit, which outputs information (for example, it outputs information to devices such as displays and speakers based on the PDSCH (or data / information decoded from the PDSCH) received by the communication module 60).

[0288] Furthermore, the communication module 60 stores various information received from external devices in a memory 62 that can be used by the microprocessor 61. Based on the information stored in the memory 62, the microprocessor 61 may control the drive unit 41, steering unit 42, accelerator pedal 43, brake pedal 44, shift lever 45, left and right front wheels 46, left and right rear wheels 47, axle 48, various sensors 50-58, etc., which are provided in the vehicle 40.

[0289] Furthermore, the term "base station" in this disclosure may be interpreted as "user terminal." For example, the various aspects / embodiments of this disclosure may be applied to a configuration in which communication between a base station and a user terminal is replaced with communication between multiple user terminals (which may be called, for example, Device-to-Device (D2D), Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X)). In this case, the user terminal 20 may have the functions of the base station 10 described above. Also, terms such as "uplink" and "downlink" may be interpreted as terms corresponding to terminal-to-terminal communication (for example, "sidelink"). For example, uplink channel, downlink channel, etc., may be interpreted as sidelink channel.

[0290] Similarly, the term "user terminal" in this disclosure may be replaced with "base station." In this case, the base station 10 may be configured to have the same functions as the user terminal 20 described above.

[0291] In this disclosure, operations performed by a base station may, in some cases, be performed by its upper node. In a network including one or more network nodes having base stations, it is clear that various operations performed for communication with terminals may be performed by the base station, one or more network nodes other than the base station (for example, a Mobility Management Entity (MME), a Serving Gateway (S-GW), etc., but not limited to these), or a combination thereof.

[0292] Each aspect / embodiment described in this disclosure may be used individually, in combination, or switched between as needed during execution. Furthermore, the processing procedures, sequences, flowcharts, etc., of each aspect / embodiment described in this disclosure may be rearranged in order, provided they are consistent. For example, the methods described in this disclosure present various step elements using exemplary order and are not limited to the specific order presented.

Furthermore, multiple systems may be applied in combination (for example, a combination of LTE or LTE-A and 5G).

[0294] In this disclosure, the phrase "based on" does not mean "based solely on" unless otherwise specified. In other words, the phrase "based on" means both "based solely on" and "based at least on."

[0295] Any reference to elements using the designations “first,” “second,” etc., as used in this disclosure does not generally limit the quantity or order of those elements. These designations may be used in this disclosure as a convenient way to distinguish between two or more elements. Accordingly, the references to the first and second elements do not imply that only two elements may be employed or that the first element must precede the second element in any way.

[0296] The term “determining” as used in this disclosure may encompass a wide variety of actions. For example, “determining” may be considered to mean judging, calculating, computing, processing, deriving, investigating, looking up, searching, or inquiring (e.g., searching in tables, databases, or other data structures), ascertaining, etc.

[0297] Furthermore, "judgment (decision)" may be considered as "judging (deciding)" things like receiving (e.g., receiving information), transmitting (e.g., sending information), input, output, accessing (e.g., accessing data in memory).

[0298] Furthermore, “judgment (decision)” may be considered as “judgment (decision)” of resolving, selecting, choosing, establishing, comparing, etc. In other words, “judgment (decision)” may be considered as “judgment (decision)” of some action. In this disclosure, “judgment (decision)” may be interpreted as mutually interchangeable with the actions described above.

[0299] Furthermore, in this disclosure, “determine / determining” may be interpreted as “assume / assuming,” “expect / expecting,” or “consider / considering.” In addition, in this disclosure, “not expecting to do…” may be interpreted as “expecting not to do….”

[0300] In this disclosure, "expect" may be rephrased as "be expected." For example, "expect(s) ..." (where "..." may be expressed as a that clause, an infinitive, etc.) may be rephrased as "be expected ..." or "do (the verb without "to" if "..." is an infinitive)." Similarly, "does not expect ..." may be rephrased as "be not expected ..." or "do not (the verb without "to" if "..." is an infinitive)." Furthermore, "An apparatus A is not expected ..." may be rephrased as "An apparatus B other than apparatus A does not expect ... from apparatus A" (for example, if apparatus A is a UE, apparatus B may be a base station).

[0301] The term "maximum transmit power" as used in this disclosure may mean the maximum transmit power, the nominal UE maximum transmit power, or the rated UE maximum transmit power.

[0302] As used in this disclosure, the terms “connected,” “coupled,” and any variations thereof mean any direct or indirect connection or coupling between two or more elements, and may include one or more intermediate elements between two elements that are “connected” or “coupled” with each other. The coupling or connection between elements may be physical, logical, or a combination thereof. For example, “connection” may be replaced with “access.”

[0303] In this disclosure, when two elements are connected, they can be considered to be "connected" or "coupled" to each other using one or more wires, cables, printed electrical connections, etc., and, in some non-exclusive and non-exclusive examples, electromagnetic energy having wavelengths in the radio frequency domain, microwave domain, and optical (both visible and invisible) domain.

[0304] In this disclosure, the term "A and B are different" may mean "A and B are different from each other." The term may also mean "A and B are each different from C." Terms such as "separate" and "combine" may be interpreted similarly to "different."

[0305] Where the terms “include,” “including,” and variations thereof are used in this disclosure, these terms are intended to be inclusive, as is the term “comprising.” Furthermore, the term “or” as used in this disclosure is not intended to mean exclusive OR.

[0306] In this disclosure, if articles are added by translation, such as a, an, and the in English, this disclosure may include the fact that the noun following these articles is plural.

[0307] In this disclosure, "less than or equal to," "less than," "greater than or equal to," "more than," and "equal to" may be interpreted interchangeably. In addition, in this disclosure, words meaning "good," "bad," "big," "small," "high," "low," "early," "slow," "wide," and "narrow" may be interpreted interchangeably, not limited to the positive, comparative, and superlative degrees. In addition, in this disclosure, words meaning "good," "bad," "big," "small," "high," "low," "early," "slow," "wide," and "narrow" may be interpreted interchangeably, not limited to the positive, comparative, and superlative degrees, by adding "i-th" (where i is any integer) to the expression (for example, "highest" may be interpreted interchangeably with "i-th highest").

[0308] In this disclosure, "of," "for," "regarding," "related to," and "associated with" may be interpreted as being interchangeable.

[0309] In this disclosure, phrases such as "when A, B", "if A, then B", "B upon A", "B in response to A", "B based on A", "B during / while A", "B before A", "B at (the same time as) / on A", "B after A", "B since A", and "B until A" may be interchangeable. Furthermore, A, B, etc., may be replaced with appropriate expressions such as nouns, gerunds, or regular sentences depending on the context. The time difference between A and B may be approximately zero (immediately after or immediately before). Additionally, a time offset may be applied to the time when A occurs. For example, "A" may be interpreted as "before / after the time offset when A occurs". The time offset (e.g., one or more symbols / slots) may be predetermined or determined by the UE based on notified information.

[0310] In this disclosure, timing, time, duration, time instance, any unit of time (e.g., slot, subslot, symbol, subframe), period, occasion, resource, etc., may be interpreted interchangeably.
