Isolation of Sulphated Polysaccharides from the Seaweed Gracilaria tenuistipitata Cultivated in Cox's bazar, Bangladesh

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for isolating sulfated polysaccharides from Gracilaria tenuistipitata. The method includes collection of sample, sample processing, extraction of sulphated polysaccharides, characterization using spectroscopic techniques and estimation of total carbohydrate and sulphate content to confirm structural and functional properties to yield high-purity sulphated polysaccharides with preserved bioactivity.
