By using a catalytic system in which the catalyst is not combined with the mesoporous support, the problems of low catalytic efficiency and complex synthesis in the prior art are solved, and efficient hydrogenation and dehydrogenation reactions of LOHC are achieved at low temperature, which is suitable for fuel cell units.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a catalytic system comprising a catalyst, an ionic liquid and a mesoporous support, wherein the catalyst is not chemically bound to the mesoporous support, wherein the mesoporous support has a BET surface of at least 500 m 2 / g, as determined by ISO 9277:2022. The present invention also relates to methods, uses and devices related to the catalytic system. Preferably, the catalytic system is used for hydrogenation and dehydrogenation of liquid organic hydrogen carriers.
