Description

[0001] The invention relates to a cover receiving frame for receiving a light shaft cover for a light shaft, a grate support carrier for insertion into a cover receiving frame for a light shaft, a light shaft cover system, a light shaft arrangement and a use of an angle profile carrier as a border carrier of a cover receiving frame.

[0002] Light wells are typically installed underground in front of windows on the exterior walls of buildings to allow natural light into basements or other rooms. Light well covers protect the shaft from accidents and break-ins. Light well covers should also allow as much light through as possible while being sufficiently sturdy to allow access by foot or even vehicle traffic. Furthermore, a light well cover should ensure optimal ventilation and protect it from dirt.

[0003] Various materials for covering light wells are known from the state of the art, such as metal or plastic gratings, transparent covers (also with integrated gratings), or glass panels. For applications with particularly high design requirements for a light well cover, such as complex floor design around the light well or integration into the floor of a terrace, custom-made light well covers are often necessary that meet the functional, structural, and design requirements.

[0004] DE 89 11 252 U1 discloses a walkable light well cover with a frame made of longitudinal and transverse profiles, with several sections of the frame made of a transparent, shatter-proof material, such as glass or plastic, and one section made of a grating. However, such a solution is limited in the use of materials. In particular, materials of different thicknesses cannot be used in the frame.

[0005] Further profile supports or frames for a cover of a light shaft are shown and described in AT 503 239 A2, DE 201 11 267 U1, DE 10 2005 017 351 A1 and DE 20 2011 108 772 U1.

[0006] Overall, the state-of-the-art solutions for design-demanding light well covers are either complex special constructions or are not flexible enough in terms of design.

[0007] The present invention therefore aims to provide a cover for a light well that can be designed as flexibly as possible, particularly with regard to the cover materials used and their arrangement. Furthermore, the cover should also be retrofittable for existing light wells. In particular, it should be possible to manufacture as many different variants of a light well cover as possible using a small number of components.

[0008] This object is achieved by a cover receiving frame for a light shaft according to claim 1, a grate support carrier for a light shaft according to claim 10, a light shaft cover system according to claims 11 or 14 and a light shaft arrangement according to claim 15.

[0009] In particular, the object is achieved by a cover receiving frame for receiving a, in particular walkable, light shaft cover for a light shaft, wherein the cover receiving frame has a rear side support and a border support connected to the rear side support for attachment to a light shaft edge, wherein the cover receiving frame forms, at least in sections, upper support surfaces and at least in sections lower support surfaces on an inner side, wherein the upper support surfaces define an upper support plane and the lower support surfaces define a lower support plane for the light shaft cover, wherein the upper and lower support planes are spaced apart from one another.

[0010] In a vertical direction of a light shaft (vertically), the upper support plane runs in particular above the lower support plane, with both support planes running in particular parallel to one another, preferably in the horizontal direction when the cover receiving frame is in its assembled state. The upper and lower support surfaces extend in particular inwards, i.e. away from an inner side of the border support or the rear support. A plurality of lower and a plurality of upper support surfaces can be provided in sections along the cover receiving frame, with the lower and upper support surfaces preferably lying opposite one another in pairs. Support surfaces can be arranged at various positions on the inner side of the cover receiving frame. Support surfaces can be formed in particular by projections, support strips or steps of a support profile. The lower support surfaces are preferably arranged further inwards orextend further inward than the upper support surfaces. When the cover support frame is installed, the lower support level is located below the light well edge, or rather, its upper edge.

[0011] When the cover support frame is installed, the back support runs along a side of the light well or light well body that is open toward a building wall, for example, along a basement wall or exterior building wall. In particular, the back support spans the light well in the longitudinal direction to transfer forces to the light well edge.

[0012] A cover receiving frame according to the invention can be placed (directly) on a light well edge formed by a light well body, on a heightening element for raising or extending the light well body, or on an intermediate edge part. The border support runs in particular along the light well edge, i.e. on the side of the light well remote from the wall, in particular along three sides in the case of a square light well. In particular, the rear side support and the border support together form a frame that surrounds or encloses the opening of the light well. The border support preferably has support surfaces on an underside for placement on a light well edge.

[0013] The border support preferably consists of several, preferably rigidly interconnected, border support elements. Border elements can be straight or curved, particularly depending on the shape of the light well edge. In addition to straight border support elements for a rectangular light well edge, border support elements for a correspondingly shaped light well edge could also be curved, e.g., semicircular or circular, even in one piece.

[0014] A cover receiving frame according to the invention has the advantage that a light well cover can be inserted into the cover receiving frame, which cover has several cover areas or cover modules, wherein the cover areas can have different cover thicknesses. This allows cover areas with a smaller thickness to rest on the upper support level and cover areas with a larger thickness to rest on the lower support level in order to form a light well cover with a uniformly flat surface. The light well cover can be made walkable by constructing a cover area with a specific material of the required material thickness, for example with glass or a glass package of sufficient thickness. In particular with regard to the design freedom in the choice of cover material, greater flexibility is achieved by a cover receiving frame with different support levels. In addition, a cover frame can also be retrofitted to existing light wells or light well edges.

[0015] According to the invention, the border support comprises at least two, in particular opposite, side edge supports and at least one front edge support, wherein the side edge supports each form lower support surfaces on an inner side and the rear side support and the front edge support each form lower support surfaces on an inner side. In an advantageous development of the invention, the side edge supports each form upper support surfaces and lower support surfaces on an inner side, and the rear side support and the front edge support each form lower support surfaces and upper support surfaces on an inner side, which in particular each lie opposite one another in pairs. The side edge supports and the front edge support can each be understood as border support elements of the border support, which together with the rear side support in particular forms a cover receiving frame with a rectangular basic shape. This makes it possible to create (rectangular) cover areas into which cover materials of different thicknesses can be inserted. The lower support surfaces preferably extend further inwards than the upper support surfaces. One or more longitudinal or transverse beams can be attached to the lower and upper support surfaces. This can increase the achievable span in the longitudinal or transverse direction of the cover receiving frame and the load-bearing capacity of the cover receiving frame. In particular, the top side of longitudinal or transverse beams is flush with a support surface. By forming frame segments using longitudinal or transverse beams, even large light shafts can be covered in a walkable manner and even heavy materials such as stone slabs or glass packages can be used for light shaft covers.

[0016] In an advantageous development of the invention, the border support comprises at least one border support element which, at least in sections, forms upper and lower support surfaces on an inner side, wherein the lower support surfaces extend further inwards than the upper support surfaces. In particular, the lower and / or upper support surfaces of the rear support lie in the lower or upper support plane, respectively, which are defined by the support surfaces of the border support. As a result, a light well cover, or a cover region thereof, can be placed on a border support element optionally onto the lower or upper support surface or a longitudinal or transverse support attached thereto. The flexibility for the arrangement of longitudinal or transverse supports is increased. The design options for a light well cover are consequently expanded.

[0017] In an advantageous development of the invention, the border support element forms, at least in sections, a multiple, preferably double, preferably rectangular, stepped receiving profile on an inner side, wherein in particular a profile middle section forms an upper support surface and a profile end section forms a lower support surface. A border support element could, for example, be manufactured as a support from a solid or hollow profile, which forms profile steps of a receiving profile on an inner side for supporting a light shaft cover. A double-stepped receiving profile could also be referred to as a "double Z profile". A double-stepped receiving profile can have two profile end sections and a profile middle section, which are preferably arranged offset parallel to one another, in particular running horizontally when the cover receiving frame is in the assembled state. The lower profile end section can protrude inward beyond the edge of the light well. The receiving profile forms, in particular, two profile steps, with a first profile step forming an outer (upper) support surface and a second profile step forming an inner (lower) support surface. The support surfaces of a border support element can be easily formed using a receiving profile. At the same time, the stability of the border support element can be ensured by a suitable support profile.

[0018] In an advantageous development of the invention, the border support element is designed as an angle profile support, in particular made of a metallic material, which in particular forms a multiple, preferably double, preferably rectangular, stepped receiving profile. The angle profile support can form a previously described receiving profile on its inner side. On its outer or underside, the angle profile support can form installation surfaces for placing or setting down on the light shaft edge, wherein preferably a profile center section forms an upper support surface and a profile end section forms a lower support surface. In particular, the angle profile support has a profile center section which forms the upper support surface on the inner side of the angle profile support and a installation surface on the outer side of the angle profile support.A border support element of the cover support frame made of a (thin-walled) metallic angle profile support is easy to manufacture.

[0019] In an advantageous development of the invention, the border support elements of the border support form a, in particular continuous, receiving profile, wherein the border support elements are in particular flush with one another at the end profile edges, preferably welded. In particular, at least sections of profile steps of the connected border support elements lie opposite one another in pairs at the same height, so that upper and lower support surfaces define corresponding support planes. A continuous receiving profile forms uniform, i.e. continuous, support surfaces of the border support, in particular along the entire edge of the light shaft. Preferably, a (lower) support surface of the rear support lies in the same support plane as the (lower) support surface of the border support.

[0020] In an advantageous development of the invention, a second profile end section of the receiving profile, in particular of an angle profile support, forms a frame overhang along an outer edge of the edging support, in particular for covering the light well edge. This allows a gap between the light well edge and a cover receiving frame installed or inserted to be protected against the ingress of rainwater or dirt. Furthermore, the light well edge can be attractively concealed beneath the frame overhang.

[0021] In an advantageous development of the invention, the lower support surfaces of the side edge supports, as well as the lower support surfaces of the rear side support and the front side support, each have pairs of opposite, preferably identically designed, connection points, in particular through-openings, for attaching longitudinal or cross members. Connection points are preferably arranged at regular intervals along the rear side support, side edge support, and / or front edge support. The connection points are preferably designed as pairs of through-openings spaced apart to match the width of the longitudinal or cross members. However, connection points can also be provided in the form of elongated holes or slots, thereby achieving continuously adjustable fastening. The connection of longitudinal and cross members to the connection points is designed in such a way that the upper side of the attached longitudinal and cross members corresponds to the lower support level, in particular is flush with the lower support level. In particular, the profile thickness of the lower profile end section corresponds to the profile thickness of the longitudinal or cross members (on their upper side). Longitudinal and / or cross members can be designed as hollow profiles, preferably open (downwards) on one side, or as solid profiles with connection surfaces. Longitudinal or cross members are preferably attached from below to the connection points of the rear side members, side edge members or front edge members, in particular by connecting plates, for example with connecting pins or screw connections, preferably with nuts or clamping rings. Internal threads can be provided in the through-holes. In the undersides of the side edge members orFront edge beams could also be provided with recesses for the longitudinal or cross beams. Such connection points allow longitudinal and cross beams to be stocked with uniformly designed, matching connection points and, depending on the desired light well cover design, attached to selected connection points of a uniformly manufactured cover support frame. This increases flexibility in attaching longitudinal or cross beams, while only a relatively small number of different longitudinal or cross beams need to be kept in stock.

[0022] In an advantageous development of the invention, the lower support surfaces, in particular of the rear side support and / or the front side support, have at least one locking slot arranged at a locking position for receiving optionally first or second locking projections of a grate support support. Corresponding locking slots can be provided in the upper side of a longitudinal or transverse support. In addition, the rear side supports, side edge supports, and front edge supports can have connection points on the lower support surfaces, in particular through-openings, for fastening the grate support support to the cover receiving frame, for example via screw connections on the end faces of the grate support support.

[0023] In addition, the above-mentioned object is achieved in particular by a grate support carrier for insertion into a cover receiving frame according to the invention for a light shaft, comprising - a carrier body extending along a longitudinal axis and having an at least substantially symmetrical structure, - at least one first locking projection which extends on a first longitudinal side of the carrier body at a locking position along the longitudinal axis at least substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and - at least one second locking projection which extends on a second longitudinal side of the carrier body, which is opposite the first longitudinal side, at the locking position at least substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, wherein the first and the second locking projection differ in particular in the projection length and / or projection width and are preferably designed as locking tabs.

[0024] The support body is designed symmetrically to a central plane running parallel to the longitudinal axis, in particular as a hollow support with C-profile-shaped side walls. In particular, the support body comprises connection surfaces provided at the ends, preferably on both sides, for resting on, preferably lower, support surfaces of the cover receiving frame. The projection lengths of the first and second locking projections are preferably adapted for locking two different grates, in particular for an inset or a top-mounted grate. The locking projections are particularly suitable for locking a grate resting on the grate support support in the longitudinal direction of the grate. The projection length for locking an inset grate is preferably greater than the projection length for locking an top-mounted grate.A grate support bracket serves, in particular, to compensate for the height difference between the material thickness of a first cover area and a second cover area of a light shaft cover. In particular, a grate support bracket ensures that a grate resting on it is flush with the surface of a light shaft cover. The projection width is particularly adapted to the grid dimensions (spacing of the grate sheets) of a grate resting on it. A grate support bracket according to the invention has the advantage that it can be mounted in two different positions (top and bottom reversed), whereby different grates can be used with just a single grate support bracket. In a first mounting position, the first locking projections (on the top side of the support body) can lock a first grate, while the second locking projections (on the bottom side of the support body) are received in locking slots of a cover receiving frame. In a second mounting position, the second locking projections (on a top side of the support body) can lock a second grate, while the first locking projections (on the bottom side of the support body) are received in the locking slots of the cover receiving frame. This further increases the flexibility for designing a light well cover, while requiring a reduced number of grate support supports to be kept in stock.

[0025] Furthermore, the stated object is achieved in particular by a light shaft cover system comprising a cover receiving frame according to the invention, with a light shaft cover received therein, in particular a walkable light shaft cover consisting of several cover areas, wherein a first cover area, which is in particular formed by a first cover material, rests on the upper support level and a second cover area, which is in particular formed by a second cover material, rests on the lower support level. A first cover area is in particular shaped corresponding to the upper support surface, in particular in the shape of a frame. The first cover area comprises, for example, wood materials, (galvanized) steel, a wood-plastic composite material (WPC: Wood Plastic Compound), tiles, stone or other terrace materials or lighting elements (e.g.LED strips) that are specifically tailored to the flooring surrounding the light shaft. The second cover area can in turn be composed of several sub-areas and includes, in particular, opaque materials, such as walkable glass or a glass package, and / or a grating. However, terrace materials can also be provided in the second cover area.

[0026] A light well cover system according to the invention has the advantage of allowing great flexibility in the design of the various cover areas. In particular, the same cover support frame can be used for a multitude of different variants, in particular through suitable arrangement of longitudinal or transverse supports. Different cover materials can be used, which are preferably inserted into the cover support frame in (two) different material thicknesses. Such a light well cover system can also be retrofitted to existing light wells. In particular, a walkable light well cover made of glass can be realized by placing it on a lower support level, without having to subsequently increase the installation height of the light well cover.

[0027] In an advantageous development of the light shaft cover system, the light shaft cover system further comprises at least one grate support carrier, in particular a grate support carrier according to the invention, which is placed on lower support surfaces of the cover receiving frame, wherein optionally first or second locking projections of the grate support carrier engage in locking slots of the cover receiving frame or are received therein.

[0028] In an advantageous development of the light well cover system, the non-cover system further comprises a grate resting on the grate support carrier, which grate forms, in particular, a partial region of the second cover region of the light well cover. Second and first locking projections, in particular, engage with the grate to lock the grate in place. In particular, the locking projections are intended to prevent or block displacement of the grate in its longitudinal direction.

[0029] In addition, the stated object is achieved in particular by a light shaft cover system comprising a cover receiving frame for receiving a light shaft cover for a light shaft, in particular a cover receiving frame according to the invention, wherein the cover receiving frame has a rear side support and a border support connected to the rear side support for attachment to a light shaft edge, and the cover receiving frame has on an inner side at least in sections support surfaces with at least one locking slot for receiving a grate support support, and a grate support support according to the invention.

[0030] Furthermore, the stated object is achieved in particular by a light well arrangement comprising a light well body and a cover receiving frame according to the invention, which is placed on the light well edge of the light well body. The light well arrangement can further comprise one of the described light well cover systems according to the invention.

[0031] In addition, the above-mentioned object is achieved in particular by the use of an angle profile support with a multiple, preferably double, stepped receiving profile as a border support of a cover receiving frame for receiving a, in particular walkable, light shaft cover for a light shaft.

[0033] In the following description of the invention, the same reference numerals are used for identical and identically acting elements.

[0034] The Fig. 1 to 7B show an embodiment of a cover receiving frame 1 according to the invention for receiving a light shaft cover 4 (see Fig. 10, Fig. 12, Fig. 13, Fig. 14 and Fig. 16) with a rectangular basic shape. The cover receiving frame is composed of a rear support 11 and a border support 12, which in turn has three border support elements 121, namely a side edge support 121a, an opposite side edge support 121b, and a front edge support 121c. The cover receiving frame 1 is designed here as a welded construction made of metallic supports, but could also be made of a different material, for example, plastic or a fiber composite material. The border support 12 has mounting surfaces 125 on its underside for placing or setting up the cover receiving frame 1 on a light shaft edge 3, which are formed here flat by the underside of the border support elements 121. For fastening the cover receiving frame 1, fastening pins 17 are additionally provided on both sides of the rear.On an inner side 10 of the cover receiving frame 1, upper and lower support surfaces 15 and 16 are formed, respectively, which extend towards the inner side 10. In the embodiment shown, the lower support surface 16 runs around the entire cover receiving frame 1, while the upper receiving surface 15 only runs on three sides, namely along the border support 12. The support surface 16 along the rear support 11 is formed by a longitudinal strip welded on via angle profiles, which is inserted with rear elongated tabs into longitudinal slots of the rear support 11 (in . Fig. 5). The upper support surfaces 15 together form an upper support plane E1, while the lower support surfaces 16 together form a lower support plane E2. In the vertical direction, i.e. in a height direction of a light shaft, the support planes E1 and E2 are spaced apart from one another. At regular intervals along the lower support surfaces 16, connection points 70 for longitudinal beams 13 or cross beams 14 are provided in the form of through-openings, e.g., bores. For fastening a grate support beam 2, the lower support surfaces 16 additionally have connection points 80, which are also designed as through-openings. Locking slots 60 for locking projections 21, 22 of a grate support beam 2 according to the invention are also provided along the rear side beam 11 and the front edge beam 121c.

[0035] The Fig. 7A and Fig. The sections through the border support 12 shown in Figure 7B show a double rectangularly stepped receiving profile 127 that the border support elements 121 form on the inner side 10. The border support elements 121 are designed as angle profile supports that are welded flush with one another in the corner regions of the border support 12. The receiving profile 127 comprises two profile steps and can accordingly also be described as a double-Z profile. A lower profile end section 122, a profile middle section 120, and an upper profile end section 123 are arranged parallel and offset from one another. The lower profile end section 122 forms the lower support surface 16 on its upper side. The profile middle section 120 forms the upper support surface 15 on its upper side. The upper profile end section 123 forms a frame projection 124 that runs along the outer edge 126 of the cover receiving frame 1.The frame projection 124 serves to cover the light well edge 3, and in particular a gap between the cover receiving frame 1 and a light well edge 3. This allows less dirt and water to penetrate into the gap.

[0036] Alternative embodiments are possible in which the support surfaces 15 and / or 16 do not completely surround them, but are formed only in sections or intermittently. It is also conceivable for the border support elements 121 to comprise only first support surfaces 15 or only second support surfaces 16. For example, the front edge support 121c could have only lower support surfaces 16, which are opposite the lower support surfaces 16 of the rear side support 11.

[0037] A cover receiving frame 1 according to the invention with two support levels E1 and E2 at different heights makes it possible to produce a light well cover 4 received in the cover receiving frame 1 with different material thicknesses. Along the border support 12, a first cover area 41 forms an edge area of a light well cover 4 with a smaller thickness. The light well cover 4 rests in the first cover area 41 on the upper support level E1, or the upper support surfaces 15. Between the rear support 11 and the edge area, a second cover area 42 forms an inner area of the light well cover 4 with a greater thickness. The light well cover 4 rests in the first cover area 41 on the lower support level E2, or the lower support surfaces 16. This makes it possible to compensate for differences in the thickness of the cover materials used, and to achieve a uniformly high orflat surface of the light shaft cover 4 can be achieved.

[0038] In particular, the cover mounting frame 1 allows the use of a thicker cover material without having to modify or replace an existing light well or light well edge. Cover areas of a light well cover 4 with greater thickness can be arranged above or within the interior of the light well using the cover mounting frame 1. This does not increase the outer height of the light well cover.

[0039] A particular advantage is that a walkable light well cover 4 can also be implemented using transparent materials that, due to their mechanical properties and static requirements, must be made of a greater material thickness, e.g., glass or a glass package. For example, the distances between the lower support plane E2 and the upper support plane E1 from the surface of the light well cover 4 are approximately 45 mm and 20 mm, respectively. In general, the distance between the two support planes E1 and E2 can be, for example, between 5 mm and 50 mm, preferably between 10 mm and 40 mm, more preferably between 15 mm and 30 mm, and more preferably between 20 mm and 30 mm. In the embodiment shown, the distance is approximately 25 mm.

[0040] The first covering area 41 can be covered, for example, by a frame structure made of a wood material, galvanized steel, a WPC material, tiles, (thin) natural stone slabs, or other terrace materials. The second covering area 42 can be covered, for example, by walkable glass or one or more multi-layer glass packages, which can have an additional frame. Walkable gratings, in particular metal gratings, can also be used in the second covering area 42, with gratings preferably being mounted on grating support beams 2, which compensate for the height difference between the thickness of the grating and the lower support level E2.

[0041] In the Fig. 11A and Fig. 11B is a cover support frame 1 with a fixed longitudinal beam 13 and in Fig. 15 shows an embodiment with three cross members 14. Depending on the weight of the light well cover 4 to be used and the size of the light well to be covered, the longitudinal and cross members 13 and 14, respectively, can be variably attached to the connection points 70. The cover support frame 1 can thus be flexibly used for a variety of different variants of light well covers 4. The attachment is carried out in such a way that the upper side of the longitudinal and cross members 13 and 14, respectively, is flush with the support surfaces 16 and accordingly coincides with the lower support plane E2.

[0042] Fig. Figure 8 shows a grate support beam 2 according to the invention, which can be inserted into a cover receiving frame 1 such that it rests on the lower support plane E2. The grate support beam 2 comprises a symmetrical hollow support body 20, which extends along a longitudinal axis L. The side walls of the support body 20 are formed from two opposing C-shaped support profiles, which are connected to one another via central webs and end elements. The first longitudinal side 24, which in Fig. 8 represents the top side, has vertically bent first locking projections 21 in the form of longer locking tabs, while the second longitudinal side 25, which in Fig. 8 represents the underside, has vertically bent second locking projections 21 in the form of shorter locking tabs. The first locking tabs 21 have a recess 27. The support body 20 has connection surfaces 23 on the first and second longitudinal sides 24, 25, via which the grate support carrier 2 can be fastened, for example via screw connections, to connection points 80 of the cover receiving frame 1.

[0043] In the Fig. 9A and Fig. 9B shows the same grate support support 2 according to the invention in two different mounting positions, ie rotated about the longitudinal axis L, wherein in Fig. 9A an inset grate 5 and in Fig. 9B a supporting grate 5 is placed on the grate support 2. In Fig. 9A, the grate 5 is secured against upward lifting by a securing bracket 7, which is engaged in the recesses 27 in the first locking projections 21. The grate support carrier 2 is in Fig. 9A in a first assembly position, in which the first locking projections 21 point upwards to positively lock the grate 5. The second locking projections 22 point downwards. In Fig. 9B shows the grate support bracket 2 in a second, reversed, assembly position, in which the second locking projections 22 point upward and positively lock the grate 5 by engaging the grate grid. The locking projections 22 point downward.

[0044] The representation of a light well cover system 100 in the Fig. 11A and Fig. 11B corresponds to the representation according to Fig. 9A, where the grate 5 is not shown. The Fig. 11A and Fig. 11B show how the locking projections 21 and 22, which point downwards in the respective mounting position of the grate support support 2, engage or are received in matching locking slots 60 of the cover receiving frame 1. As a result, the grate support support 2 rests stably and flatly on the support plane E2 with its downward-facing long side 24 and 25, respectively, instead of resting on the locking projections 21 and 22, respectively. The locking slots 60 thus serve to stow the downward-facing locking projections 21 and 22, respectively. A grate support support 2 according to the invention makes it possible to mount various grates 5 with a single grate support support 2. This makes it possible to reduce the number of components required to design a light shaft cover 4 with grates 5.

[0045] In the Fig. 10 shows a light well arrangement in a sectional view. A cover receiving frame 1 according to the invention is placed on a light well body 6 made of plastic, which forms a rectangular light well edge 3 on its upper side. A light well cover 4 is inserted into the cover frame 1. The cover frame 1 has a first cover area 41, which is designed as a steel frame structure with a hollow profile, and a second cover area 42, which is designed as a glass package enclosed by an L-profile. The underside of the profile center section 120 forms a support surface 125 for the cover receiving frame 1 on the light well edge 3.

[0046] The Fig. 11 A and Fig. 11 B show a light well cover system 100 according to the invention, which comprises a cover receiving frame 1, a longitudinal beam 13 and a grate support beam 2.

[0047] The Fig. 12, Fig. 13 and Fig. 14 illustrate various embodiments of a light well cover system 100 according to the invention.

[0048] In the embodiment according to Fig. 12, the surface of the light well cover 4 consists of three differently designed sub-areas. The first cover area 41, which rests on the upper support level E1, is formed from a wooden or steel frame structure. The second cover area 42, which rests on the lower support surface E2, is divided into two sub-areas. A first sub-area, which adjoins the rear support 11, is covered by a grate 5, which is placed on an inserted grate support support 2. The remaining, inner sub-area of the second cover area 42 is formed by a walkable glass package. The light well cover 4 is completely walkable.

[0049] The embodiment according to Fig. 13 differs from the Fig. 12 in that no grate 5 and no grate support beam 2 are provided. The second cover area 42 is formed entirely by a walkable glass package.

[0050] In the embodiment according to Fig. 14, three longitudinally extending grates 5 are provided in the second cover area 42, each resting on a grate support beam 2. The grates 5 are separated from one another by elongated insert profiles made of steel, which rest on the lower support surfaces 16 at the front.

[0051] In Fig. 16 shows a light well arrangement according to the invention, which has a light well body 6 with a light well edge 3. A light well cover system 100 according to the invention is placed on the light well edge 3, which, similar to Fig. 12, wherein the grate 5 and the grate support support 2 are arranged on the side of the front edge support 121c instead of on the side of the rear side support 11.

[0052] A cover support frame 1 according to the invention allows for great flexibility in the design of light well covers 4, particularly with thicker materials to ensure accessibility. In combination with a grate support carrier 2 according to the invention, various grates 5 can be integrated into a light well cover 4 depending on the installation position, requiring only a few different components. The light well cover system 100 according to the invention is also suitable for retrofitting existing light wells.

[0053] At this point, it should be noted that all aspects of the invention described above, viewed individually and in any combination, particularly the details shown in the drawings, are claimed as essential to the invention. The same applies to the explained method steps. Modifications to these are familiar to those skilled in the art.
