Abstract

Avionics computer for on-board flight operations in an aircraft comprising a microprocessor- or microcontroller-based computing unit (1) having a plurality of microprocessor- or microcontroller-based computing modules (10, 11, 12, 13), wherein each computing module (10, 11, 12, 13) has a microprocessor- or microcontroller-based processor and a main memory divided into several main memory segments, each of which is exclusively assigned to a specific processor of the computing modules (10, 11, 12, 13), and wherein the computing unit (1) of the avionics computer is configured such that the processors have read access to all main memory segments of the main memory of their respective computing modules (10, 11, 12, 13) and have write access to the main memory segments assigned to them.
