Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: system for wiping a vehicle element comprising a surface to be cleaned
[0001] The present invention relates to a system for wiping a vehicle element comprising a surface to be cleaned. It finds a particular but non-limiting application in motor vehicles.
[0002] Known to those skilled in the art is a system for wiping a vehicle element comprising a surface to be cleaned which comprises: a wiping member comprising a wiping blade and a wiping blade support, said wiping member being configured to move between a rest position and an extreme position, said wiping blade being made of rubber and configured to be inclined at a first inclination when moving from the rest position to the extreme position and to be inclined at a second inclination when moving from the extreme position to the rest position. In the rest and extreme positions, the blade is therefore configured to turn around. When it is turned over, the blade passes into a position substantially perpendicular to the surface to be cleaned and the wiping member therefore has a greater height than when the blade is inclined according to one of the first or second inclinations and is therefore more cumbersome, which can pose a problem in the case where the space requirement must be limited. There is therefore a need in this regard.
[0003] In this context, the present invention aims to propose a system for wiping a vehicle element comprising a surface to be cleaned which makes it possible to solve the mentioned drawback.
[0004] To this end, the invention proposes a system for wiping a vehicle element comprising a surface to be cleaned, characterized in that said wiping system comprises: - an actuator configured to move a wiping member between a rest position and an extreme position, - said wiping member extending in a longitudinal direction, comprising a wiping support, a first wiping blade and a second wiping blade mounted on the wiping support and being configured to come into contact with the surface to be cleaned so as to be able to wipe it, said wiping member being configured to occupy at least: - a first position when the actuator moves it from the rest position to the extreme position in which the first wiping blade is in contact with the surface to be cleaned, and - a second position when the actuator moves it from the extreme position to the rest position in which the second wiping blade is in contact with the surface to be cleaned, - a positioning element configured to move said wiping member between at least said first position and said second position.
[0005] Thus, as will be seen in detail later, each wiping blade will wipe the surface to be cleaned in an opposite wiping direction. It is therefore not necessary to turn each wiping blade over so that it cleans in another wiping direction. The surface to be cleaned is thus cleaned alternately by each wiping blade in a different wiping direction. Thus, having two wiping blades makes it possible to avoid turning over a blade and therefore to reduce the height of the wiping member.

[0034] Identical elements, by structure or by function, appearing in different figures retain, unless otherwise specified, the same references.
[0035] The wiping system 1 of an element 20 of a vehicle 2 according to the invention is described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 12 according to non-limiting embodiments. In a non-limiting embodiment, the vehicle 2 is a motor vehicle. By motor vehicle is meant any type of motorized vehicle. This embodiment is taken as a non-limiting example in the remainder of the description. In the remainder of the description, the vehicle 2 is thus otherwise called motor vehicle 2.
[0036] Said element 20 comprises a surface to be cleaned 200. In a non-limiting embodiment, said element 20 is a sensor. In non-limiting examples, the sensor 20 is a camera, a lidar, a radar.
[0037] As illustrated in [Fig.l], the wiping system 1 comprises: - an actuator 10, - a wiping member 11, - a positioning element 12 for said wiping member 11.
[0038] In a non-limiting embodiment, the wiping system 1 further comprises a locking system 13 of the wiping member 11 in at least two positions including a first position p01 or a second position p02.
[0039] In a non-limiting embodiment, the wiping system 1 further comprises a device 14 for spraying a cleaning liquid L onto the surface to be cleaned 200.
[0040] The various elements of the wiping system 1 are described in detail below.
[0041] The wiping member 11 extends in a longitudinal direction Ax, otherwise called longitudinal axis Ax, and comprises: - a wiping support 110, - a first wiping blade 111, - a second wiping blade 112.
[0042] The two wiping blades 111, 112 are mounted on the wiping support 110 and are configured to come into contact with the surface to be cleaned 200 so as to be able to wipe it. In a non-limiting embodiment, the two wiping blades 111, 112 are parallel to each other and positioned on an angular sector of angle a illustrated in FIGS. 5 to 7. As will be seen below, each wiping blade 111, 112 only sweeps the surface to be cleaned 200 in one wiping direction and it is the wiping member 11 whose wiping support 110 pivots according to the angular sector a. As a result, there is no turning of the wiping blade. The two wiping blades 111, 112 operate in opposite wiping directions.
[0043] The actuator 10 is configured to move the wiping member 11 between a rest position m01 and an extreme position m02 illustrated in [Fig. 12]. In a non-limiting embodiment, the rest position m01 is the position in which the wiping member 11 is located at the bottom of the surface to be cleaned 200 and the extreme position m02 is the position in which the wiping member 11 is located at a non-zero angular position relative to the rest position m01. For example, in the extreme position m02, the wiping member 11 can be moved by approximately 90° relative to the rest position m01 as illustrated in the non-limiting example of [Fig. 12].
[0044] As will be seen below, the wiping member 11 is configured to oscillate in rotation around its longitudinal axis Ax.
[0045] The wiping member 11 is configured to occupy at least: - a first position pOl (illustrated in [Fig.2]) when the actuator 10 moves it from a rest position mOl to an extreme position m02 in which the first wiping blade 111 is in contact with the surface to be cleaned 200, and - a second position p02 (illustrated in [Fig.3]) when the actuator 10 moves it from the extreme position m02 to the rest position mOl in which the second wiping blade 112 is in contact with the surface to be cleaned 200.
[0046] When the actuator 10 moves the wiping member 11 from the rest position m01 to the extreme position m02, it moves it in a rotational movement in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis Ax of the wiping member 11 for angular wiping or a translation for linear wiping. The actuator 10 is configured to move the wiping member 11 in a direction opposite to a desired wiping direction if to position it in the first position pOl or in the second position p02, the desired wiping direction if going from the rest position mOl to an extreme position m02 or vice versa.
[0047] In a non-limiting embodiment, said wiping member 11 is configured to further take a third position p03, called central position p03 (illustrated in [Fig.4]) in which neither of said two wiping blades 111, 112 is in contact with said surface to be cleaned 200. This central position p03 makes it possible to increase the service life of the wiping blades 111, 1112.
[0048] The positioning element 12 is configured to move the wiping member 11 between the first position p01 and the second position p02 as illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3.
[0049] In a first non-limiting embodiment, the positioning element 12 is a positioning motor illustrated in [Fig. 11]. It is configured to drive the wiping member 11 into at least one of the two positions including the first position p01 or the second position p02.
[0050] In a second non-limiting embodiment illustrated in Figures 5 to 7 and 10, the positioning element 12 comprises: - two stops 120 secured to the surface to be cleaned 200, otherwise called end-of-travel stops 120, - a positioning finger 121 integral in movement with said wiping member 11 configured to be in abutment against said stops 120 and configured to move said wiping member 11 so as to position it in the first position p01 or the second position p02 when said actuator 10 moves said wiping member 11.
[0051] The change in angular position of the wiping member 11 is carried out thanks to the two stops 120 at the end of travel and to the positioning finger 121.
[0052] The cooperation between a stop 120 and the positioning finger 121 makes it possible to tilt the wiping blades 111, 112 in one direction or another so that one or the other of the wiping blades 111, 112 touches the surface to be cleaned 200. The wiping blades 111, 112 perform a rotation of angle a in absolute value. The angle a is thus the angle by which the wiping member 11 must be turned to tilt the wiping blades 111, 112 in one direction or another. This cooperation makes it possible to rotate the wiping member 11 which rotates a plate 130 (described later) to lock a position among the first position p01, the second position p02, or where appropriate the central position p03.
[0053] The two stops 120 are located in the same reference frame as the glazed surface 200. In a non-limiting example, they are located on the glazed surface 200 itself.
[0054] Each stop 120 is located at each lateral end of the glazed surface 200. They make it possible to stop the wiping member 11 in its travel and to block it respectively in the rest position m01 or the extreme position m02. They also allow the changing of wiping blades 111, 112 at the rest position m01 and at the extreme position m02.
[0055] When the wiping blades 111, 1112 perform a rotational movement, the positioning finger 121 performs the same rotational movement according to the angle a. As illustrated in [Fig.6], the positioning finger 121 has performed a rotation by an angle a relative to an initial position illustrated in [Fig.5] which makes it possible to position the wiping member 11 in the first position pOl in which the first wiping blade 111 is in contact with the surface to be cleaned 200 (drawings (b) of [Fig.8]). As illustrated in [Fig.7], the positioning finger 121 has rotated through an angle -a (when viewed clockwise) relative to the initial position illustrated in [Fig.5], which makes it possible to position the wiping member 11 in the second position p02 in which the second wiping blade 112 is in contact with the surface to be cleaned 200 (drawings (b) of [Fig.9]).
[0056] As illustrated in Figures 5 to 7, the locking system 13 comprises: - a plate 130 with indexing elements 130.1 corresponding at least to the first position p01 and to the second position p02, - a locking element 131 configured to cooperate with said indexing elements 130.1 so as to lock said wiping member 11 in at least the first position p01 or in the second position p02.
[0057] The positions p01, p02 and where appropriate p03 of the wiping member 11 are maintained by means of the locking system 13 whose retention force is greater than the maximum force generated by the friction of the wiping blades 111, 112 on the glazed surface 200.
[0058] In a non-limiting embodiment, the locking element 131 is an index and the indexing elements 130.1 are orifices. Thus, the index 131 is configured to be housed in an orifice 130.1 of the plate 130 among at least two orifices 130.1 when the plate 130 rotates so as to lock the wiping member 11 in at least one of the two positions p01 or p02. This non-limiting embodiment is taken as a non-limiting example in the remainder of the description.
[0059] The index 131 is secured to a support 16 illustrated in Figures 9 and 10. It is located in the same frame of reference. The support 16 is attached to the chassis of the motor vehicle 2 or to the housing of the sensor 20. In a non-limiting embodiment, the index 131 is a ball. The index 131 has the retention force described previously. In a non-limiting embodiment, the index 131 is connected to a return element 131.1 (illustrated in [Fig. 10]) configured to hold said index 131 in said orifice 130.1 when a wiping blade 111, 112 wipes the surface to be cleaned 200. The stiffness of the return element 131.1 is less than the force which rotates the wiping member 11. The index 131 can thus move to lock the plate 130 in a position other than that in which it is.
[0060] When the positioning finger 121 comes into contact with a stop 120, and the force exerted on the return element 131.1 exceeds a certain threshold, the return element 131.1 is configured to allow the index 131 to move from one orifice 130.1 to the other. In a non-limiting example, the return element 131.1 is a spring. It will be noted that the force generated on the index 131 and the return element 131.1 by the wiper blades 111, 112 against the glazed surface 200 when they are in motion is less than the force generated on the index 131 and the return element 131.1 by the contact between the stop 120 and the positioning finger 121.
[0061] In a non-limiting embodiment, the plate 130 comprises a third orifice 130.1 corresponding to the central position p03. Thus, the index 131 can be housed in this third orifice 130.1 to lock the wiping member 11 in the central position p03.
[0062] The plate 130 is configured to rotate so that the index 131 is inserted into one of the orifices 130.1. It rotates around the longitudinal axis Ax. The plate 130 is integral with the wiping support 110. It rotates with it.
[0063] [Fig.8] illustrates the manner in which the wiping member 11 passes from the rest position m01 to the extreme position m02 and [Fig.9] illustrates the manner in which the wiping member 11 passes from the extreme position m02 to the rest position m01.
[0064] As illustrated in [Fig.8], in drawings (a) and (b), the wiping member 11 is in a rest position mOl. In drawing (a), the wiping member 11 occupies a stop position which corresponds to the central position p03 in which no wiping blade 111, 112 touches the surface to be cleaned 200. The index 131 is inserted into the orifice 130.1 corresponding to the central position p03, here in the middle of two other orifices 130.1. The wiping member 11 is thus locked in this central position p03. The positioning finger 121 is supported on one of the two end-of-travel stops 120.
[0065] In the rest position mOl, the wiping member 11 switches from the stop position p03 to the first position pOl (drawing (b)) so that the first wiping blade 111 can be in contact with the surface to be cleaned 200. Thus, when the actuator 10 moves the wiping member 11 by a few centimeters, the stop 120 then angularly positions the plate 130 at an angle of +a. The first wiping blade 111 comes into contact with the surface to be cleaned 200. The index 131 which is integral with the wiping support 110 is inserted into the orifice 130.1 corresponding to the first position pOl so as to lock the wiping member 11 in this first position pOl. The index 131 has thus passed from the orifice 130.1 corresponding to the central position p03 to the orifice corresponding to the first position pOl. The wiping member 11 is thus positioned in the first position pOl.
[0066] It will be noted that the actuator 10 has moved the wiping member 11 in an opposite direction (here clockwise in drawing (b) of [Fig.8]) to a wiping direction if desired (illustrated by the arrow in drawing (c) of [Fig.8]), here going from the rest position m01 to the extreme position m02 to arm the wiping member 11. It will be noted that the cooperation between the positioning finger 121 and the stop 120 generates a compression of the spring connected to the index 131 sufficient for the index 131 to change orifice 130.1. The wiping member 11 remains in the first position p01 during wiping when the actuator 10 moves it from the rest position m01 to the extreme position m02 (drawing (c)).
[0067] For wiping, the actuator 10 moves the wiping member 11 in the other direction which is the desired wiping direction, namely from right to left in drawing (c) of [Fig.8] up to the other end-of-travel stop 120. The movement is a rotation in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis Ax of the wiping member 11 for angular wiping or a translation for linear wiping.
[0068] At the end of the stroke illustrated in drawing (a) of [Fig.9], the wiping member 11 is in the extreme position m02, namely in an angular position of more than 90° relative to the bottom of the surface to be cleaned 200, and occupies the first position pOl.
[0069] As illustrated in [Fig.9], in drawings (a) and (b), the wiping member 11 is in the extreme position m02. In drawing (a), the wiping member 11 occupies the first position p01 in which the wiping blade 111 touches the surface to be cleaned 200. The index 131 is inserted into the orifice 130.1 corresponding to this first position p01. The wiping member 11 is thus locked in this first position p01.
[0070] In the extreme position m02, the wiping member 11 switches from the first position p01 to the second position p02 (drawing (b)) so that the second wiping blade 112 can be in contact with the surface to be cleaned 200. Thus, when the actuator 10 moves the wiping member 11 by a few centimeters, the stop 120 then angularly positions the plate 130 in the second position p02. The second wiping blade 112 comes into contact with the surface to be cleaned 200. The index 131 which is integral with the wiping support 110 is inserted into the orifice 130.1 corresponding to the second position p02 so as to lock the wiping member 11 in this second position p02. The index 131 is thus moved from the orifice 130.1 corresponding to the first position p01 to the orifice corresponding to the second position p02. The wiping member 11 is thus positioned in the second position p02.
[0071] It will be noted that the actuator 10 has moved the wiping member 11 in an opposite direction (here counterclockwise in drawing (b) of [Fig.9])) to a wiping direction if desired (illustrated by the arrow in drawing (c) of [Fig.9]), here going from the extreme position m02 to the rest position mOl to arm the wiping member 11. It will be noted that the cooperation between the positioning finger 121 and the stop 120 generates a compression of the spring connected to the index 131 sufficient for the index 131 to change orifice 130.1. The wiping member 11 remains in the second position p02 during wiping when the actuator 10 moves it from the extreme position m02 to the rest position mOl (drawing (c)).
[0072] For wiping, the actuator 10 moves the wiping member 11 in the other direction which is the desired wiping direction, namely from left to right in drawing (c) of [Fig.9] up to the other end-of-travel stop 120. The movement is a rotation in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis Ax of the wiping member 11 for angular wiping or a translation for linear wiping.
[0073] At the end of the stroke illustrated in drawing (d) of [Fig. 9], the wiping member 11 is in the rest position mOl, namely again at the bottom of the surface to be cleaned 200 and occupies the second position p02. In order to be able to wipe again in the other direction, namely from the rest position mOl to the extreme position m02, the wiping member 11 will again switch from the second position p02 (drawing (d) of [Fig. 9]) to the first position pOl (drawing (b) of [Fig. 8])) so that the first wiping blade 111 can be in contact with the surface to be cleaned 200.
[0074] The movement is repeated sequentially until a stop instruction is requested, in which case, for example, the wiping member 11 returns at the end of its travel to position itself in the rest position mOl illustrated in the drawing (a) of [Fig.8] and occupies the central position p03 where no wiping blade 111, 112 touches the surface to be cleaned 200.
[0075] The projection device 14 integrated in the wiping system 1 is now described in detail below. As illustrated in Figures 10 and 11, said projection device 14 comprises: - a projection ramp 140 of said cleaning liquid L arranged inside said wiping member 11, and - an inlet cannula 141 for said cleaning liquid L connected to said projection ramp 140 and to a reservoir 21 of cleaning liquid L (illustrated in [Fig.l]) and configured to bring said cleaning liquid L into said projection ramp 140.
[0076] The projection ramp 140 comprises projection orifices 140.1 through which the cleaning liquid L can be projected as illustrated in drawing (c) of figures 8 and 9 representing the bottom view of the wiping member 11. In one embodiment non-limiting embodiment, the projection ramp 140 is single-ramp. In a non-limiting embodiment, the projection ramp 140 is located between the two wiping blades 111, 112 as illustrated in drawing (c) of figures 8 and 9.
[0077] In a first non-limiting embodiment illustrated in [Fig. 10], the inlet cannula 141 is located on the plate 130 as illustrated in the drawing (a) representing a side view of the wiping member 11. In a second non-limiting embodiment illustrated in [Fig. 11], the inlet cannula 141 is located directly on the projection ramp 140 and forms a bifurcation to connect it directly to the reservoir 21 as illustrated in the drawing (a) representing a side view of the wiping member 11.
[0078] Of course, the description of the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above and to the field described above. Thus, the application has been described for a surface to be cleaned 200 of a vehicle sensor; however, in another non-limiting application, the surface to be cleaned may be that of a windshield or a window. Thus, in another non-limiting embodiment, instead of having a locking system 13 composed of an index 131 and orifices 130.1, the locking system may be a magnetic locking composed of magnets.
[0079] Thus, the invention described presents in particular the following advantages: - it makes it possible to eliminate the spring and the hinge described in the prior art and consequently to reduce the overall size of the wiping system 1 and to simplify the structure of the wiping system 1, - it allows, thanks to the two wiping blades 111, 112 which each wipe in an opposite wiping direction, to avoid having a single-wiping blade wiping system in which the reversal of the single wiping blade when changing the wiping direction can pose a problem due to a lack of the degree of freedom necessary for such a reversal.
