Description

System Description This Hydro Generation system consists of a Water Conveyor coupled to a Electric Generator controlled by a Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Water Conveyor is built with two horizontal axles (E and F) mounted on two columns (B and C). On each end of the two axles there are four wheels (P, Q, R. and S). Each wheel on the top is mechanically linked to the wheel below using a chain. A set of containers (Eg. Fig 1 container A) are attached to the chain so that the containers are free to move up and down (Fig 2). Water is filled to containers at the top using three or more Water Feeders. When the container at the top is filled with water, it begins to travel downwards due to the weight of water. Once the containers reach at the bottom, water is emptied from them and empty containers travel upwards and the cycle repeats thus forming Water Conveyor. These containers can be filled at the top using several water lines at different heights. The containers are designed in a special shape that allows feeding water at different heights and capturing of spilled water effectively by the containers below. As shown in Fig 3, the container can be filled from the top and from the front of the container. The top of the container is designed wide to capture water at the top while the front side is designed in a slanted shape to capture water fed from the front and guide it to the container below. The bottom of the container is also slanted to facilitate this action further. Wheels at the bottom can be mechanically coupled to a generator with a belt driven pulley. Diameter ratio of the pulleys determines the rotational speed of the generator. Generator output is electronically sensed for both voltage and frequency by the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). ECU then controls the volume of water delivered through water feeders WS 1 and WS 2 in response to changes in output voltage and frequency thus facilitating the load control of the generator.
