Abstract

The aluminum-based roofing sheets according to the present invention incorporate three principal features: (1) an inverted U-shaped cavity as a meeting point between the sheets; (2) a locking fold on the profile edge that allows snap-fit ​​installation between the sheets; and (3) a channel for fastening screws that is recessed within the U-cavity that places the screw heads in a closed space so that they do not penetrate the outer surface. This structural combination is provided with an internal drainage channel and / or an integrated sealant to ensure that ingressing water does not reach the fastening points, thereby reducing the risk of leakage throughout the life of the roof.
