Abstract

To simplify or streamline the process associated with selecting tax rates. [Solution] The sales data processing device comprises an input unit, a display unit, a first processing unit, and a second processing unit. The input unit inputs product data used to identify the products subject to trading. The display unit displays a screen related to the products subject to trading identified by the input product data. The first processing unit causes the display unit to display a product registration screen that includes product detail data of the input products subject to trading and total transaction amount data calculated based on the product detail data. The second processing unit causes the display unit to display a tax rate selection screen that accepts a selection operation for selecting the tax rate to be imposed on the products subject to trading. The second processing unit prohibits the display of total transaction amount data on the tax rate selection screen.
