High-pressure hydrogen supply system and method thereof
The pumpless high-pressure hydrogen supply system efficiently produces and purifies hydrogen from formic acid dehydrogenation, addressing the inefficiencies of compressor-based methods by using phase separation and adsorption, achieving high-pressure hydrogen delivery for fuel cell vehicles with reduced energy use and costs.

Abstract
To provide a pumpless high-pressure hydrogen supply system that can supply high-pressure hydrogen to a fuel cell vehicle or the like when necessary without using a compressor or the like, and an operation method for the same.SOLUTION: Provided is a high-pressure hydrogen supply system in which a mixed gas of hydrogen and carbon dioxide is obtained by a dehydrogenation reaction of formic acid using a complex catalyst, from which hydrogen is separated and the resultant product is provided at a pressure of not less than 5 MPa. Gas components other than hydrogen are phase-separated and removed as liquid or solid by cooling the mixed gas in a separator while the mixed gas is obtained at a pressure of not less than 5 MPa through a dehydrogenation reaction, and this pressure is maintained at not less than 0.4 MPa. The separated hydrogen is continuously delivered to an accumulator with increased purity by pressure fluctuating adsorption to be stored at a pressure of not less than 70 MPa.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
