Abstract
The invention relates to a method for preparing a biomaterial for the treatment of skin cancer, based on the exoskeleton of the scorpion Tetratrichobothrius flavicaudis. The method consists of several steps: 1) extracting the exoskeleton from a dead scorpion, 2) roasting at 250°C for 30 minutes to remove moisture and enhance the stability of the material, 3) grinding the roasted exoskeleton to obtain a fine powder, 4) sieving the powder to 0.5 mm to homogenize the texture. Then, 5) the powder is mixed with vegetable oil (olive or argan) in a ratio of (1:5 w / w), 6) carnauba wax is added to obtain a solid consistency, 7) the mixture is heated to 45°C and then cooled to form a solid paste. This biomaterial has biocompatible, anti-inflammatory and healing properties, suitable for the treatment of skin cancers.
