A process for the production of aloe vera powder from fresh leaves of aloe vera linn

Abstract

A process for the production of Aloe vera powder from fresh leaves ofAloe vera linn has been developed. In this process the fresh leaves of Aloe vera linn were washed, peeled off and cut into thin slices and dried in a force circulating hot air cabinet dryer. The dried thin slices were ground to make fine powder, which contain the moisture content level upto 1-1.5%. The fine dehydrated Aloe vera powder was mixed with preservatives and can be used frequently up to 24 months.
