Abstract
A perfusion apparatus (10) comprising a hermetically sealed casing (601) having an internal chamber (603) configured to hold a perfusate, the casing (601) comprising a perfusate inlet (614), a perfusate outlet (616), a gas inlet (632), and a gas outlet (620). A removable tray (612) is located within the internal chamber (603), the removable tray (612) comprising at least one drainage aperture (668), the removable tray (612) having a recess (661). An inflatable cushion (628) is located within the recess (661), wherein the cushion (628) is configured to support the perfusion target. A blood management module (22) is in fluid communication with the perfusate inlet (614) and the perfusate outlet (616), the blood management module (22) being configured to manage a circulating perfusate.
