Abstract

The invention relates to a device for casting membrane lungs, comprising a casting mold (301) with a main casting area and at least one overflow cavity (302) arranged to receive excess casting material during the casting process, wherein the casting mold (301) is designed such that the desired length dimension of the blood path, which can be a diameter or a distance, is defined by a sharp structure that separates the overflow cavity (302) from the main casting area. The invention further relates to a method for casting membrane lungs using the device according to the invention.
