Abstract

The invention relates to a die-casting device (1) for producing a metallic molded part by thixomolding, wherein the die-casting device (1) comprises a screw-cylinder unit (2) for generating thixotropic casting material, a channel element (4) and a mold (5), wherein the channel element (4) comprises a filling chamber (6) and a transfer channel (7) in order to press casting material from the filling chamber (6) into the mold (5) via the transfer channel (7) by moving a piston in the filling chamber (6), wherein the screw-cylinder unit (2) is connected to the filling chamber (6) in a way that conveys casting material to the filling chamber (6).To achieve a high degree of applicability, the die-casting device (1) is configured to press the screw-cylinder unit (2) against the channel element (4) on a first side with a first contact force, and to press a contact element (3) of the die-casting device against the channel element (4) on a second side with a second contact force, which is at least partially opposed to the first contact force. The invention further relates to a method for producing a metallic molded part by thixomolding.
