Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for obtaining slurry from mussels and / or mussel culture waste products. It makes it possible to reduce the waste produced in the cultivation of Black Sea mussels. The liquefaction method used is a sequence of four steps involving acid and alkaline dissolution carried out at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. The first stage involves dissolving the shell and calcareous deposits with concentrated nitric acid. The second stage involves separating the undissolved mass from the solution obtained in the first stage. The third step comprises alkaline hydrolysis of the undissolved mass separated in the second step using potassium hydroxide. The fourth stage comprises mixing and neutralizing the solutions obtained from the first and second stages, followed by adjusting the pH of the final product in the range 6,4-6,8.
