Description
1 / 5 Constructive arrangement applied to a fastening and support tip for structural profiles of PVC ceiling panels. Technological sector of the Utility Model
[001] The present utility model belongs to the sector of fastening and support systems for ceiling support structures, and refers, more specifically, to a fastening and support tip applied to structural profiles used in the installation of PVC ceilings, configured to promote the positioning, support and lateral fastening of said profiles on walls, ceilings or support structures, as well as enabling the interconnection between structural profiles at intermediate points of the installation. State of the art
[002] Currently, the installation of PVC ceilings is widely used in residential, commercial and industrial environments, usually carried out using longitudinal structural profiles designed to support the ceiling panels along the installation area. These profiles can be made of wood, plastic, metal or equivalent materials, remaining fixed between walls and upper support points distributed along the ceiling, forming a base structure suitable to receive the ceiling itself.
[003] In the state of the art, the fixing of these structural profiles is usually carried out by improvised methods or simplified construction solutions. In many applications, the installer drills holes directly into the masonry for partial support of the profile, uses support wires or employs segments of the structural profile itself as an auxiliary fixing element. Such solutions present limitations related to the difficulty of installation, low constructive standardization, structural misalignment, loss of mechanical resistance and increased assembly time.
[004] As an alternative to improvised solutions, L-shaped metal corner brackets are also known, used as support elements for the structural profiles of the ceiling. However, these corner brackets have limitations. Petition 870260052622, dated 01 / 06 / 2026, page 5 / 23 2 / 5 functionally relevant, especially in applications involving PVC ceilings, since conventional fastening often requires the use of screws positioned in lower regions or in areas that directly interfere with the ceiling's installation. In certain situations, the fasteners may remain protruding or occupy areas intended for fitting the PVC panels, compromising the finish, alignment, or stability of the installation.
[005] Furthermore, it is observed that the structural profiles used to support the ceiling usually have large longitudinal extensions, corresponding to the dimensions of the room where they will be installed. Therefore, it becomes necessary to use multiple intermediate points of support and structural interconnection between longitudinal profiles and vertical support elements fixed to the ceiling. However, known solutions do not offer standardized and adequate construction methods to simultaneously provide terminal support, lateral structural fixing, and intermediate interconnection between profiles, while maintaining adequate mechanical strength and compatibility with the installation of the PVC ceiling.
[006] Thus, the need for a constructive element intended for fixing and supporting structural profiles for PVC ceilings remains open in the state of the art, capable of providing greater structural stability, standardization of assembly and compatibility with the different support points of the structure, without interfering with the installation and finishing area of the ceiling. Utility Model Updates
[007] The present utility model presents as a constructive novelty a tip configured to act simultaneously as a support, positioning and structural fixing element for profiles used in the installation of PVC ceilings, differentiating itself from conventional solutions known in the state of the art. The tip comprises a shaped structure to partially receive the end of the structural profile in an internal housing region, promoting alignment, stabilization and mechanical support of said profile during the installation and use of the assembly. Petition 870260052622, dated 01 / 06 / 2026, page 6 / 23 3 / 5
[008] Unlike conventional L-shaped metal corner brackets, whose structural configuration limits the fixing points and often requires screwing in lower regions of the profile, the proposed end piece comprises at least one closed side wall provided with a means of lateral fixing, allowing the structural profile to be rigidly fixed by screw in a lateral region of the piece. This configuration eliminates interference in the lower region intended for the installation of the PVC ceiling, avoiding protrusions or obstacles that could compromise the fit, finish or stability of the ceiling panels.
[009] Furthermore, the three-dimensional shape of the end cap provides a larger contact and support area compared to conventional angle brackets, promoting greater mechanical stability of the structural profile and reducing displacements, twists or misalignments during installation. The side wall of the end cap also acts as a containment and guide element for the profile, assisting in the proper positioning of the structure and facilitating the installer's work.
[010] Another innovation achieved by the utility model lies in the arrangement of multiple fixing holes distributed in distinct regions of the finial, allowing different ways of using the piece in the structural assembly of the ceiling. In one embodiment, the finial comprises longitudinal holes intended for fixing the piece to walls or lateral support structures. In another complementary embodiment, the finial comprises lower or transverse holes intended for interconnection between longitudinal structural profiles and vertical support profiles from the ceiling, especially at intermediate points of the installation where the structure is suspended along the span.
[011] With this, the same piece can be used both at the ends of the structure and in the intermediate support regions, allowing constructive standardization, reducing the need for distinct components and increasing the structural resistance of the installed assembly. The proposed configuration also allows application in profiles made of wood, plastic, metal or equivalent materials, expanding its versatility of use. Petition 870260052622, dated 01 / 06 / 2026, page 7 / 23 4 / 5 Description of the attached figures
[012] In order for the present utility model to be fully understood and put into practice by a person skilled in the art, its characteristics are presented and described based on the attached figures, as listed below: Figure 1 represents a perspective view of the tip; Figure 2 represents a rear perspective view of the tip; Figure 3 represents a perspective view of the tip fixed to a wall and with the profile fixed on the sides; Figure 4 represents a perspective view of profiles installed on the end caps with the lining applied. Detailed description of the Utility Model
[013] The tip comprises a preferably monobloc structural body, made of metallic, polymeric, composite or equivalent material, having a substantially triangular geometry. The tip comprises a longitudinal wall (1) provided with two vertically aligned longitudinal holes (2), a lower transverse wall (4) provided with two longitudinally aligned transverse holes (5), and two inclined side walls (3) connecting the longitudinal wall (1) to the lower transverse wall (4), forming an internal housing region intended for the partial reception of the end of a structural profile (P).
[014] The inner region of the end cap is configured to partially receive the structural profile (P) used in the installation of the ceiling (F), allowing said profile to remain supported and positioned inside the piece. The longitudinal wall (1) acts as a lateral containment element and guide for positioning the profile, maintaining structural alignment during installation. After positioning the profile, the fixing can be reinforced by using a screw (PP) passing laterally through the longitudinal wall (3) and the structural profile (P).
[015] The tip is fixed to the wall using at least one fixing element (PL) applied to one of the longitudinal holes (2) in the wall. Petition 870260052622, dated 01 / 06 / 2026, page 8 / 23 5 / 5 longitudinal of the piece. In applications subjected to higher structural loads or greater profile extensions, the two longitudinal holes can be used simultaneously, promoting greater mechanical resistance and stability of the assembly.
[016] The lower transverse holes (5) allow the use of the end cap at intermediate points of the structure, especially in situations where there is an interconnection between the longitudinal profile and vertical profiles from the ceiling. In these situations, the transverse holes (5) allow the passage of fastening elements intended for structural joining between the different profiles, allowing the same end cap to be used in both terminal and intermediate regions of the installation.
[017] Although the preferred application of the end cap is for the installation of PVC ceilings, the piece can also be used in furniture structures, shelves, panels, partitions, decorative supports, modular structures, window and door frames and other assemblies that use structural profiles requiring support, positioning and fixing.
[018] It is important to emphasize that the figures and descriptions provided do not limit the ways in which the inventive concept now proposed can be implemented, but rather illustrate and make understandable the conceptual innovations revealed in this solution. Thus, the descriptions and images should be interpreted in an illustrative and not limiting way, and there may be other equivalent or analogous ways of implementing the inventive concept now revealed that do not fall outside the scope of protection outlined in the proposed solution.
