Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a railway bogie (1) and a railway vehicle comprising the railway bogie (1), wherein the railway bogie (1) is configured to level a vertical position (41) of a sensor unit (35), wherein the railway bogie (1) comprises a frame (3) and a wheel (5) which is rotatably arranged about a respective wheel pivot axis (7) with respect to the frame (3), wherein the wheel (5) is mounted on the frame (3) by means of a rocker arm (20), wherein the rocker arm (20) is pivotable about a pivot axis (21) relative to the frame (3) against the force of a rocker arm spring (22), and the railway bogie (1) further comprises the sensor unit (35) which is configured to determine a lateral position of the wheel (5) relative to a rail (32) during operation.and a sensor leveling system (43) for leveling the vertical position (41) of the sensor unit (35) with respect to the rail (32) due to the deflection of the wheel (5) with respect to the frame (3) about the pivot axis (21) during the operation of the railway bogie (1).
