Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The invention relates to a wireless device, in particular to a wireless device with two layers of magnetic conductive plates. Background Art
[0002] With the development of technology, many electronic devices (such as tablet computers or smart phones) now have the function of wireless charging. Users can place the electronic device on a wireless charging transmitter so that the wireless charging receiver in the electronic device generates current to charge the battery by electromagnetic induction or electromagnetic resonance. Due to the convenience of wireless charging, electronic devices with wireless charging modules are gradually becoming popular among the public.
[0003] Generally speaking, a wireless charging device includes a magnetically conductive substrate that carries a coil. When the coil is powered on and operates in a wireless charging mode or a wireless communication mode, the magnetically conductive substrate can make the magnetic lines of force emitted by the coil more concentrated to achieve better performance. For example, the provision of a magnetically conductive substrate can avoid the image effect and can effectively guide the magnetic lines of force of the coil. However, the existing structural configurations of coils and magnetically conductive substrates cannot meet various requirements for wireless devices, such as better charging performance and smaller thickness.
[0004] Therefore, how to design a wireless device with good charging performance and smaller overall thickness is a topic worth exploring and solving today. Summary of the invention

The second magnetic conductive plate is formed with a slot, and the circuit board is disposed in the slot. Furthermore, in this embodiment, when viewed along the direction of the winding axis, the circuit board and the coil assembly partially overlap.
[0010] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the second magnetic conductive plate has a polygonal structure, the coil assembly includes a straight line segment, and the straight line segment is parallel to a side edge of the polygonal structure of the second magnetic conductive plate.
[0011] An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a wireless device, comprising a first magnetic conductive plate, a second magnetic conductive plate, a coil assembly and a control circuit. The second magnetic conductive plate is disposed on the first magnetic conductive plate. The coil assembly is disposed on the second magnetic conductive plate, the coil assembly comprises a starting end and a terminating end, and the coil assembly surrounds a winding shaft to form a spiral structure. The terminating end is located outside the spiral structure. The coil assembly comprises at least three or more metal wires, which are respectively connected to the control circuit, and the control circuit is configured to control the metal wires to be electrically connected to each other in parallel or in series.
[0012] According to some embodiments of the present invention, when the metal wires are electrically connected to each other in series, the coil assembly operates in a wireless communication mode.
[0013] According to some embodiments of the present invention, when the metal wires are electrically connected in parallel, the coil assembly operates in a wireless charging mode.

[0015] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the thickness of the first magnetic conductive plate is greater than the thickness of the second magnetic conductive plate.
[0016] The present disclosure provides a wireless device that can be disposed on a main circuit board of an electronic device, and the wireless device can have two magnetic conductive plates. The thickness of the first magnetic conductive plate is greater than the thickness of the second magnetic conductive plate, and the first magnetic conductive plate is closer to the aforementioned main circuit board. Based on this structural design, the two magnetic conductive plates can effectively reduce the risk of electromagnetic waves generated by the coil assembly to various electronic components on the main circuit board according to the surface effect, and can also improve the operating efficiency of the wireless device.
[0017] Furthermore, the coil assembly may include at least three metal wires, which may be individually connected to the control circuit, and the control circuit may control these metal wires to be electrically connected in parallel or in series. When the control circuit controls these metal wires to be electrically connected in parallel, the overall resistance of the coil assembly can be reduced to operate in a wireless charging mode. When the control circuit controls these metal wires to be electrically connected in series, the overall inductance of the coil assembly can be adjusted so that the coil assembly operates in a wireless communication mode. Therefore, through the control circuit, the wireless device can switch between different modes (for example, different types of charging modes such as inductive wireless charging, resonant wireless charging, and other wireless communication modes such as near field communication).

[0050] In order to make the purpose, features, and advantages of the present disclosure more obvious and easy to understand, the following embodiments are specifically cited and described in detail with the accompanying drawings. Among them, the configuration of each component in the embodiment is for illustrative purposes and is not intended to limit the present disclosure. In addition, some repetitions of the figure numbers in the embodiments are for simplifying the description and are not intended to indicate the correlation between different embodiments. The directional terms mentioned in the following embodiments, such as: up, down, left, right, front or back, etc., are only reference directions of the drawings. Therefore, the directional terms used are used to illustrate and are not used to limit the present disclosure.
[0051] In addition, relative terms such as "lower" or "bottom" and "upper" or "top" may be used in the embodiments to describe the relative relationship of one component of the diagram to another component. It is understood that if the device of the diagram is turned over so that it is upside down, the component described on the "lower" side will become the component on the "upper" side.
[0052] Here, the terms "about" and "approximately" generally mean within 20%, preferably within 10%, and more preferably within 5% of a given value or range. The quantities given here are approximate quantities, meaning that in the absence of specific instructions, the meaning of "about" and "approximately" can still be implied.
[0053] Please refer to Figure 1 , Figure 1 FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a wireless device 100 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Figure 1 As shown, the wireless device 100 may include a coil assembly 102, a circuit board 104, two insulating sheets 106, a first magnetic conductive plate 108, and a second magnetic conductive plate 110. In this embodiment, the second magnetic conductive plate 110 is disposed on the first magnetic conductive plate 108, and the circuit board 104 is disposed between the first magnetic conductive plate 108 and the second magnetic conductive plate 110. Furthermore, the coil assembly 102 is disposed on the second magnetic conductive plate 110, the coil assembly 102 includes a starting end 1021 and a terminating end 1022, and the circuit board 104 is configured to be electrically connected to the starting end 1021, and the circuit board 104 can be electrically connected to an external circuit, such as a control chip, so that the starting end 1021 is also electrically connected to the external circuit.
[0054] like Figure 1As shown, the two insulating sheets 106 of the wireless device 100 are disposed on the upper and lower sides of the aforementioned components. When the wireless device 100 is disposed on a main circuit board of an electronic device (such as a tablet computer or a smart phone), the insulating sheet 106 is configured to protect the aforementioned components to avoid unnecessary electrical connections. In addition, it is worth noting that in this embodiment, the first magnetic conductive plate 108 and the second magnetic conductive plate 110 can be a ferrite, the thickness of the first magnetic conductive plate 108 is greater than the thickness of the second magnetic conductive plate 110, and the first magnetic conductive plate 108 is closer to the aforementioned main circuit board. For example, in this embodiment, the thickness of the first magnetic conductive plate 108 can be 0.08 mm, and the thickness of the second magnetic conductive plate 110 can be 0.02 mm, but it is not limited to this embodiment.
[0055] Since the present disclosure provides two magnetic conductive plates, the surface effect (electromagnetic wave interface effect) of the two (or more) magnetic conductive plates can be used to enhance the effect of isolating and concentrating electromagnetic waves, which means that the risk of electromagnetic waves generated by the coil assembly 102 during operation to various electronic components on the main circuit board can be effectively reduced. Furthermore, the first magnetic conductive plate 108 of the present disclosure is thicker and closer to the main circuit board of the electronic device, so it can further reduce the impact of the coil assembly 102 on the main circuit board, and can also improve the operating efficiency of the wireless device 100, for example, it can improve the charging efficiency.
[0056] Please refer to Figure 1 and Figure 2 , Figure 2 Based on Figure 1 The top view of the coil assembly 102 and the second magnetic conductive plate 110 of the embodiment. Figure 2 As shown, the coil assembly 102 is wound around a winding axis Wx to form a spiral structure (circuit pattern), wherein the starting end 1021 is located inside the spiral structure, and the ending end 1022 is located outside the spiral structure.
[0057] Furthermore, if Figure 2As shown, the second magnetic conductive plate 110 may be a rectangular structure, and the rectangular structure includes a first side 1101 and a second side 1102. The coil component 102 is disposed on the second magnetic conductive plate 110, and the spiral structure of the coil component 102 may include a curved section 102C and a straight section 102S, wherein the straight section 102S is parallel to the first side 1101 of the second magnetic conductive plate 110. Based on the design of the straight section 102S, the length of the second side 1102 can be reduced, so that the length of the wireless device 100 along the Y-axis direction can also be reduced. In addition, the straight section 102S may also be parallel to the second side 1102 of the second magnetic conductive plate 110. It should be noted that the shape of the second magnetic conductive plate 110 is not limited to a rectangle. In other embodiments, the second magnetic conductive plate 110 may include a polygonal structure.
[0058] In this embodiment, the coil component 102 is configured to be a wireless charging coil. For example, the coil component 102 can be based on the standard of the Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP) as a resonant charging coil, but is not limited thereto. In addition, the coil component 102 can be based on the standard of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), such as the Qi standard, as an inductive charging coil.
[0059] In addition, in other embodiments, the coil assembly 102 can be used as a wireless communication coil. For example, the coil assembly 102 can be applied to near-field communication technology (NFC) and the operating frequency is 13.56 MHz. In addition, the coil assembly 102 can also be applied to a radio frequency identification system (RFID) and operate at frequencies below 135 KHz, 13.56 MHz, 433.92 MHz, 860M-930 MHz, 2.45 GHz, and 5.8 GHz.
[0060] Next, please refer to Figure 2 and Figure 3 , Figure 3 According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, Figure 2 The coil assembly 102 includes at least three or more metal wires, for example, Figure 3As shown, the coil assembly 102 may be composed of 10 metal wires M1-M10. Specifically, the metal wires M1-M10 are arranged along the second magnetic conductive plate 110, and the metal wires M1-M10 are parallel to each other. Since the metal wires in the coil assembly 102 are not stacked along the Z-axis direction, the height of the wireless device 100 in the Z-axis direction can be reduced.
[0061] In this embodiment, each of the metal wires M1-M10 has a rectangular structure, but is not limited thereto, and may have a circular structure in other embodiments. Specifically, the height of the metal wire along the Z-axis direction or the width along the Y-axis direction may be 0.12 mm. In addition, since the metal wires M1-M10 are arranged along the second magnetic conductive plate 110, the area of the coil assembly 102 along the XY plane can be increased, and since the present disclosure uses metal wires with a rectangular structure, the metal wires can be arranged more closely, and the charging range can also be increased at the same time.
[0062] In addition, in this embodiment, the metal wires M1 - M10 in the coil assembly 102 can be connected in parallel at the starting end 1021 and the ending end 1022 , so that the overall resistance of the coil assembly 102 is reduced, thereby improving the problem of excessive power consumption caused by excessive resistance.
[0063] Furthermore, based on the structural design of the coil assembly 102 of the present embodiment, the resistance of the coil assembly 102 can be accurately adjusted. For example, the overall resistance value of the coil assembly 102 can be adjusted by adjusting the number of metal wires in the coil assembly 102. Compared with the existing coil resistance adjustment method, the resistance adjustment method of the present embodiment can have a smaller error. For example, the error of the resistance value of the existing coil is about 2%, while the error of the resistance value of the coil assembly 102 of the present embodiment can be 0.1%.
[0064] like Figure 2 and Figure 3 As shown, an opening 1105 may be formed on the second magnetic conductive plate 110, and the circuit board 104 is connected to the starting end 1021 via the opening 1105, and when viewed along the direction of the winding axis Wx (Z-axis direction), as shown in FIG. Figure 2 As shown, the opening 1105 partially overlaps with the starting end 1021 of the coil assembly 102. Figure 3 As shown, the circuit board 104 is connected to the starting end 1021 via the opening 1105. For example, the starting end 1021 can be connected to the circuit board 104 via solder SD. Since the solder SD is located in the opening 1105 and the metal wires of the starting end 1021 are not stacked along the Z-axis direction, the height of the wireless device 100 along the Z-axis direction can be reduced to achieve the purpose of miniaturization.
[0065] In addition, in some embodiments, the portion of the first magnetic conductive plate 108 and the second magnetic conductive plate 110 that does not correspond to the circuit board 104 can be directly bonded, and when observed along the direction perpendicular to the winding axis Wx (Y-axis direction), the first magnetic conductive plate 108 and the circuit board 104 or the second magnetic conductive plate 110 and the circuit board 104 will partially overlap to further achieve a miniaturization effect.
[0066] Please refer to Figure 4 and Figure 5 , Figure 4 FIG. 1 is a top view of a coil assembly 102, a second magnetic conductive plate 110A and a circuit board 104 according to another embodiment of the present invention. Figure 5 According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, Figure 4 This embodiment is similar to the above-mentioned embodiment, and the difference between the two is that a slot 1107 is formed on the second magnetic conductive plate 110A of this embodiment, the circuit board 104 is disposed on the first magnetic conductive plate 108 and is located in the slot 1107, and the circuit board 104 is configured to be electrically connected to the starting end 1021, for example, connected to the starting end 1021 by solder SD.
[0067] like Figure 4 As shown, when viewed along the direction of the winding axis Wx (Z-axis direction), the circuit board 104 partially overlaps with the starting end 1021 of the coil assembly 102. Since the circuit board 104 is disposed in the slot 1107 of the second magnetic conductive plate 110A, the height of the wireless device 100 along the Z-axis direction can be further reduced to achieve the purpose of miniaturization. Furthermore, since the first magnetic conductive plate 108 below the slot 1107 of the second magnetic conductive plate 110A does not have any openings, the problem of magnetic leakage can be avoided.
[0068] Please refer to Figure 6 , Figure 6 FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of a wireless device 200 according to another embodiment of the present disclosure. The structure of the wireless device 200 is similar to Figure 1 The difference between the wireless device 100 and the wireless device 100 is that the wireless device 200 in this embodiment may further include a control circuit 250 electrically connected to the starting end 1021 and the terminating end 1022.
[0069] In this embodiment, the coil assembly 102 includes at least three metal wires, such as metal wires M1-M10, and the metal wires are individually connected to the control circuit 250. The control circuit 250 may have different circuits or switches (such as MOS switches) to control the electrical connection of the metal wires. For example, the control circuit 250 may control the metal wires M1-M10 to be electrically connected in parallel or in series.
[0070] When the control circuit 250 controls the metal wires M1-M10 to be electrically connected in parallel, the metal wires M1-M10 can form ten parallel coils, and the coil assembly 102 can be operated in a wireless charging mode. Since the ten metal wires M1-M10 are connected in parallel, the overall resistance of the coil assembly 102 can be reduced, and the overall charging performance can also be improved.
[0071] In some embodiments, the control circuit 250 can control the metal wires M1-M10 to be electrically connected in series. For example, the metal wire M1 is connected in parallel with the metal wire M2, the metal wire M3 is connected in parallel with the metal wire M4, and then connected in series with the metal wires M1 and M2, and the remaining metal wires are connected in the same way. Thus, the metal wires M1-M10 can form five coils connected in series to adjust the overall inductance value of the coil assembly 102, so that the coil assembly 102 can be operated in a wireless communication mode. The connection method of the metal wires M1-M10 is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments, and the parallel or series method can be adjusted according to actual needs so that the coil assembly 102 can operate in the required frequency band.
[0072] Please refer to Figure 7 , Figure 7 FIG. 2 is an exploded view of a wireless device 300 according to another embodiment of the present disclosure. Figure 1 The difference is that the wireless device 300 of this embodiment further includes a circuit board 150, and the coil assembly 102 is integrally formed in the circuit board 150. In this embodiment, the thickness of the circuit board 150 along the Z-axis direction can be 0.05 mm, which is less than that in the previous embodiment ( Figure 3 )The height of the metal wire along the Z-axis direction, for example 0.12mm.
[0073] Therefore, in this embodiment, based on the design that the coil assembly 102 is integrally formed in the circuit flexible board 150 , the height of the wireless device 300 along the Z direction can be further reduced, thereby achieving the purpose of miniaturization.
[0074] In summary, the present disclosure provides a wireless device that can be disposed on a main circuit board of an electronic device, and the wireless device can have two magnetic conductive plates. The thickness of the first magnetic conductive plate 108 is greater than the thickness of the second magnetic conductive plate 110, and the first magnetic conductive plate 108 is closer to the aforementioned main circuit board. Based on this structural design, the two magnetic conductive plates can effectively reduce the risk of electromagnetic waves generated by the coil assembly 102 to various electronic components on the main circuit board according to the surface effect, and can also improve the operating efficiency of the wireless device.
[0075] Furthermore, the coil component 102 may include at least three metal wires, which may be individually connected to the control circuit 250, and the control circuit 250 may control these metal wires to be electrically connected in parallel or in series. When the control circuit 250 controls these metal wires to be electrically connected in parallel, the overall resistance of the coil component 102 can be reduced to operate in a wireless charging mode. When the control circuit 250 controls these metal wires to be electrically connected in series, the overall inductance of the coil component 102 can be adjusted so that the coil component 102 operates in a wireless communication mode. Therefore, through the control circuit 250, the wireless device can switch between different modes (for example, different types of charging modes such as inductive wireless charging, resonant wireless charging, and other wireless communication modes such as near field communication).
