Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The invention relates to a sealed connection device between two spaces, which has higher connection safety. Background Art
[0002] In many industrial sectors, including for example the nuclear, medical, pharmaceutical and agri-food sectors, it is necessary or desirable to carry out certain tasks in a confined environment, either in order to protect personnel, for example against radioactivity, toxicity etc., or, on the contrary, in order to be able to carry out these tasks in a sterile or dust-free environment, or both.
[0003] Transferring equipment or products from one confined space to another, without the sealing of each of these spaces relative to the outside being compromised at any point, is a tricky problem to deal with. This problem can be solved with a double door connection device.
[0004] For example, in French patent document FR3010118, a double door device with multiple safety controls is proposed. Each space is closed by a door installed in a flange. Each door is connected to its flange by a bayonet connection, and the function of the two flanges is to connect to each other by a bayonet connection.
[0005] If one of the enclosed spaces is formed by a container and the other space is formed by a glove box or compartment, the transfer is carried out in the following manner. The flange of the container has ears on its periphery, which are used to cooperate with the flange snap-on of the glove box. The flange of the container is introduced into the flange of the glove box, and the container is oriented so that the ears match the snap-on.
[0006] The device comprises a connecting part of two flanges and a control ring mounted around the flanges outside the first closed space, the control ring controls a plate for connecting the two doors and unlocking the door of the second space, a disengagement part of the other door and the opening of the two doors for the airtight connection between the two spaces. The connecting part of the two flanges and the control ring can be rotated relative to the closed spaces, and by their rotation, all the steps required to obtain the airtight connection are completed without rotating one of the closed spaces. There is no need to rotate the second closed space.
[0007] This arrangement is satisfactory.
[0008] Sealing gaskets are provided between the container and the compartment. The inventors have found that these sealing gaskets act as springs between the container and the compartment door, which has a tendency to rotate the connecting plate and may cause the device to malfunction. Summary of the invention
[0009] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a sealed connection between two enclosed spaces which does not have the above-mentioned drawbacks.
[0010] The object of the present invention is achieved by a sealed connection device between a first and a second closed space, each of which includes an opening bounded by a flange and closed by a door, wherein the door of the second closed space is sealed and installed in the flange by a bayonet connection, and the device includes a connecting part of two flanges and a control ring installed around the flange outside the first closed space, the control ring controls the connecting part of the two doors and the unlocking part of the second space door, the disengagement part of the other door, and the opening of the two doors that enables a closed connection between the two spaces. The connecting parts of the two flanges and the control ring can rotate relative to the closed space, and by their rotation, it is ensured that all steps required to obtain a closed connection are completed without causing one of the closed spaces to rotate. In addition, the device includes a fixing part for fixing the connecting parts of the two doors in a certain position when the doors are connected or not connected.
[0011] These fixing parts thus avoid the above-mentioned malfunctions.
[0012] In a preferred example, the fixing member comprises a connecting plate. Therefore, the connecting member ensures that the connecting plate maintains a certain angle in at least two given controlled states, namely, a door connected state and a door unconnected state.
[0013] Very advantageously, the fixing means comprises a cam cooperating with a cam path having two inclined surfaces in each locking angular position, which assist the operator at the end of the stroke.
[0014] The ramp profile may be selected to provide a specific force assistance to the operator when manually actuating the connection device, for example by cranking.
[0015] The object of the present invention is therefore an assembly comprising a first enclosed space comprising a first flange and a first door sealingly closing an opening defined by the first flange, and a second enclosed space comprising a second flange and a second door sealingly closing an opening defined by the second flange, the second door being connected to the second flange by a bayonet connection, the connection being mounted on a wall of the first enclosed space and comprising:
[0016] - a first part connecting the first and second flanges to each other,
[0017] - a second component for connecting and separating, the function of which is to sealably connect the second door and the first door and to separate the second door from the second flange, the second component comprising a connecting plate, the connecting plate being rotatably mounted on the outer surface of the first door around a longitudinal axis and being connectable to the outer surface of the second door by a bayonet connection, the connecting plate being such that a first rotating portion of the connecting plate can connect the first door to the second door and a second rotating portion of the connecting plate can unlock the second door from the second flange,
[0018] - a third member for disengaging the first door from the first flange,
[0019] - a fourth component as a passage opening between the first and second confined spaces,
[0020] - a control ring rotatable about a longitudinal axis, the rotation of said control ring actuating at least the second, third and fourth components,
[0021] The assembly further includes a connecting plate fixing member for fixing the connecting plate to a first position relative to the first door in the absence of the second door and to a second position in the presence of the second door when the first door is connected to the second door and the second door is unlocked relative to the second flange.
[0022] - first actuating means of the control ring and
[0023] - Second actuation means of the first connecting member.
[0024] In an embodiment, the fixing means comprises a cam and a cam follower, the cam being fixed to the first door and the cam follower being fixed to the connecting plate, or vice versa.
[0025] Preferably, the cam follower is fixed to a face of the connecting plate facing the first door.
[0026] In a preferred example, the cam includes a cam path that extends generally along an arc and includes a first housing at a first angular end and a second housing at a second angular end to accommodate the cam follower and secure it in one of the first and second positions, the cam including at least one first inclined surface extending from the first housing to the second housing and a second inclined surface extending from the second housing to the first housing.
[0027] For example, the cam path includes a constant radius track connecting the first ramp and the second ramp.
[0028] The cam follower may include a base plate and a fixed support, wherein the base plate carries a roller that moves on the cam path, and the base plate is configured to slide relative to the support.
[0029] The first part advantageously comprises a connecting ring rotatably mounted about a longitudinal axis relative to the first flange, and also comprises a bayonet connection part for fixing the second flange relative to the first flange. Preferably, the first rotating part of the connecting plate connects the first door and the second door, while the second rotating part of the connecting plate unlocks the second door relative to the second flange.
[0030] For example, the second part comprises at least one pinion meshing with a toothed actuating portion carried by a control ring, the rotation of which causes the connection plate to rotate.
[0031] The second component may advantageously comprise a gear train connected to the connecting plate for rotation thereof, said gear train being driven by said pinion. The second component may comprise a spur pinion meshing with the first toothed portion and an angular transmission.
[0032] The assembly advantageously comprises a locking member for locking the first door and the second door to each other when the first door and the second door are separated from the first flange and the second flange. For example, the locking member comprises a finger movably mounted in the connecting plate, the finger being retractable into the connecting plate when the second door is placed against the first door, and being protruding from the connecting plate when the connecting plate connects the first door and the second door, the finger together with the stopper preventing the second door from rotating relative to the first door.
[0033] Advantageously, the finger comprises a roller and the locking means comprises a cam carried by the outer surface of the first door, ensuring that the finger returns to a retracted position in the connecting plate during the separation phase of the first and second confined spaces.
[0034] In one embodiment, the first actuator means also constitutes the second actuator means and comprises, for example, a crank arranged outside the first confined space.
[0035] According to other features, the first door is hinged relative to the first flange around an axis hinged perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and the fourth component includes at least one pinion, which meshes with another toothed actuating portion of the control ring, the pinion being engaged with the hinge, and the rotation of the control ring causes the first door to rotate around the hinge.
[0036] The control ring may comprise a toothed drive portion with a pinion of the second actuating member. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0071] The terms "upstream" and "downstream" refer to the direction in which the container is installed in the connection device.
[0072] In the illustrated embodiment, the two enclosed spaces to be connected by the double-door sealing connection device equipped with a control mechanism according to the present invention correspond to the enclosed compartment 10 and the container 12. However, it can be understood that the present invention is also applicable to the case where, for example, one of the enclosed spaces is a sundry box and the other is a container or both are sundry boxes.
[0073] according to Fig.12 , showing the compartment 10 and the container 12 in a connected state and a separated state.
[0074] The compartment 10 is formed by a wall 14, only a portion of which is Fig.12 It is typically equipped with a remote control device, such as a remote control and / or gloves (not shown) connected to the wall 14. The container 12 is also defined by the wall 16, as shown in FIG. Fig.12 shown.
[0075] The compartment comprises a compartment flange 18 sealingly mounted in the compartment wall 14 and defining an opening 20 sealingly closed by a removable door 22, referred to as compartment door or door.
[0076] The container comprises a tank 24 and a container flange 26 sealed closed by a removable door 28. For the sake of clarity, the container door 28 will be referred to as a "container lid" or "lid" to clearly distinguish it from the compartment door. The tank 24, the container flange 26 and the lid 28 define a closed space. The lid 28 is connected to the container flange by a bayonet connection 29.
[0077] The sealed connection device comprises a compartment flange 18, a container flange 26, a compartment door 22 and a container cover 28. The compartment door 22 is hinged to the compartment flange 18 via a Y-axis hinge 30 orthogonal to the longitudinal axis X.
[0078] The axial direction corresponds to the axis of the compartment flange 18 and the door 22, and the axis of the container flange 26 and the lid 28 when the compartment is connected. The axial direction is indicated by the axis X, being the axis of the connection means.
[0079] exist Figures 1 to 11 2, an embodiment of a sealing connection device according to the invention can be seen in detail. The connection device is mounted to the compartment wall around the opening 20. The connection device is movable relative to the compartment wall 14.
[0080] The connection device comprises a first part A which connects the container flange 26 to the compartment flange 18 .
[0081] In the illustrated embodiment, the container flange 26 includes four ears 32 arranged at 90° to each other, and the ears protrude radially outward from the container flange 26. The container flange 26 can include two ears, three ears, or more than four ears, and the angle arrangement is not limited.
[0082] The first part A comprises a connecting ring 100 mounted coaxially with the compartment flange 18 on its outer surface and rotatable about the longitudinal axis X relative to the compartment flange.
[0083] In the example shown, the connecting ring 100 comprises four bayonet holes 102, each of which serves to accommodate an ear 32 of the container flange 26. The connecting ring 100 is turned counterclockwise to ensure the connection between the container flange 26 and the connecting ring 100 by means of a bayonet connection, and thus to ensure the connection between the container flange 26 and the compartment flange 18. The bayonet hole 102 has an axially extending first portion 102.1, in which the ear 32 can be inserted and removed in the axial direction, and a second portion 102.2 extending laterally relative to the axial portion in the downstream region. When the connecting ring 100 has been turned, the second portion 102.2 accommodates the ear 32 to ensure the axial retention of the ear 32 and the container flange 26 relative to the compartment flange 18.
[0084] In the example shown, the connecting ring 100 is rotatably mounted on the compartment flange 18 by four rollers 106. It should be understood that the number of rollers is not limited.
[0085] Advantageously, sensors are provided to obtain the different states of the system: door closed, door open, door opening or closing, etc., by, for example, detecting the movement and / or position of the connecting ring, more particularly in motorized embodiments and in embodiments in which the operator cannot visually identify the state of the system.
[0086] The control mechanism comprises actuating means 108 of the connecting ring 100 which rotates about the longitudinal axis X.
[0087] The actuating device 108 is advantageously arranged outside the compartment so that it can be actuated from the outside by an operator. In the example shown, the actuating device 108 comprises a crank 110. Any other mechanical actuating device can be adopted. As a modification, it can be proposed to motorize the actuation of the connecting ring 100. The motorized component can then be located inside the compartment.
[0088] The connecting ring 100 comprises a radially outer toothing 112 which meshes with a pinion 114 of the actuating device 108. Such an actuating device is simple and robust. Other transmission components may be provided between the actuating member and the fixing ring.
[0089] Very advantageously, the sealed connection comprises an axial retention system for the container against the compartment wall.
[0090] Preferably, the retaining system comprises at least one snap-on axial retaining device 34, which functions to axially retain the container flange 26 relative to the compartment flange 18, such as Figures 1 to 4E and Figure 5 shown.
[0091] This retaining device, hereinafter referred to as a snap-on device, is used before the two flanges 18, 26 are connected by the connecting ring 100. This device is particularly advantageous, for example, for ensuring that the container is held on the compartment wall 14 when the container needs to be positioned horizontally for transfer. Thus, this snap-on device makes it easier for the operator to assemble the container on the compartment, because, for example, he no longer needs to hold the container in his hand until the container flange 26 is connected to the compartment flange 18 by the connecting ring 100.
[0092] In the example shown, the connection means comprise snap-fit means at two ears 32 diametrically opposite the container flange 26. Snap-fit means 34 are located on the compartment flange 18 diametrically opposite.
[0093] exist Figure 3 , Figures 4A to 4E , an embodiment of the snap-fit device 34 can be seen in more detail.
[0094] Since the two snap-fit devices are similar, only one of the two devices will be described. The snap-fit device 34 comprises a base 36 fixed to the compartment flange 18 at the periphery of the opening 20, an actuating link 38 hinged to the base 36 for rotation about an axis Y1 perpendicular to the axial and radial directions of the compartment flange 18.
[0095] The snap-fit device 34 also comprises a locking link 40 pivotally hinged on the base 36 about an axis Y2 parallel to the axis Y1, and a reset member 42 of the locking link 40 towards the unlocked position. The reset member 42 is fixed to the base and the locking link 40. The actuating link 38 and the locking link 40 are in contact with each other through one of their ends 38.1, 40.1, respectively, so that a clockwise rotation of the actuating link 38 causes a clockwise rotation of the locking link 40. The ends 38.2, 40.2 of the links are located on one side of the opening 20.
[0096] The snap-fit device 34 also includes a locking member for locking the locking link 40 in a locked state. The locking member includes a finger 44, which is hinged on the base 36 to rotate around an axis perpendicular to the axes Y1 and Y2, so that one end of the finger 44 can be close to or separated from the locking link 40. An elastic return member, such as a spring (not visible), pushes the finger 44 toward the link. As a modification, the finger 44 can be composed of a thin sheet that elastically deforms when bent and is combined with the elastic return member.
[0097] The operation of the snap-fit device is as follows and Figure 4D and Figure 4E As shown. The ear 32 of the container flange 26 approaches the snap-fit device in the direction of the arrow F until its first transverse face abuts against the actuating link 38. Under the action of the force exerted by the ear 32 on the compartment 10, the actuating link 38 rotates clockwise about its axis Y1, causing the locking link 40 to rotate clockwise about its axis Y2. The other end 40.2 of the locking link 40 thus abuts against the second transverse face 32.2 of the ear 32 opposite the first transverse face 32.1. The ear 32 is thus kept axially against the compartment flange 18. In addition, the clockwise rotation of the locking link 40 causes the finger 44 to pass over the end 40.2 of the locking link 40, locking it against the ear 32. The finger 44 rotates so as to move away from the end 40.2 of the locking link 40, thereby disengaging from the latter. This disengagement occurs when it is necessary to separate the container from the compartment flange. Rotation of the finger 44 may be accomplished by an actuator (not shown) or by slight rotation of the container.
[0098] exist FIG. 14A to FIG. 14F , another particularly advantageous embodiment of a snap-in device 34 ′ is shown, which differs from the device 34 in that it uses a locking cam, which reduces the number of moving elements, increases the reliability of the device and simplifies its manufacture.
[0099] The snap-fit device 34' comprises a base 36' fixed to the compartment flange 18 at the periphery of the opening 20, a locking cam 40' pivotally hinged to the base 36' about an axis Y2' perpendicular to the axial direction and radial direction of the flange 18, and a reset component 42' pointing to the locking cam 40' in the unlocked position. The reset component 42' is fixed to the base and the locking cam 40'.
[0100] The locking cam comprises, on its surface facing the longitudinal axis of the device, a downstream zone 40.1' forming an actuation zone in the direction of insertion of the flange into the snap-fit part, and an upstream zone 40.2' forming a stop.
[0101] The actuation area 40.1' forms a cam surface protruding toward the inside of the device in the unlocked position, so that when the container flange approaches the snap-fit device, one of the ears 32 contacts the cam surface 40.1', causing it to rotate and enter the stop area 40.2', facing the back of the ear, preferably contacting the ear to prevent the ear from retracting.
[0102] The snap-fit device 34' also includes a locking component for locking the locking cam 40' in a locked state. The locking component includes a finger 44', which is hinged on the base 36' around an axis perpendicular to the axis Y2', so that one end of the finger 44' can be close to or separated from the locking cam 40'. An elastic return component, such as a spring (not visible), pushes the finger 44' toward the cam 40'. As a modification, the finger 44' can be composed of a thin sheet that is elastically deformed when bent and is combined with an elastic return component.
[0103] The operation of the snap-fit device is as follows and Fig. 14C and Fig.14F shown.
[0104] The ear 32 of the container flange 26 approaches the snap-fit device in the direction of the arrow F until its first transverse face abuts against the surface of the cam 40.1'. Under the action of the force exerted by the ear 32 on the compartment 10, the locking cam 40' rotates clockwise about its axis Y2'. The stop zone 40.2' of the locking cam 40' then abuts against the back of the ear 32. The ear 32 is thus kept axially against the compartment flange 18. In addition, the locking link 40' rotates clockwise so that the finger 44' passes over the stop zone 40.2', locking it against the ear 32. In order to disengage the locking cam 40', the finger 44' moves away from the stop zone. This disengagement occurs when it is necessary to separate the container from the compartment flange. The rotation of the finger 44' can be obtained by an actuator (not shown) or by a slight rotation of the container.
[0105] In the example shown, two snap-on axial retaining devices are provided.
[0106] In an advantageous variant, a single snap-in axial retaining means can be provided and, instead of a second snap-in, a base open radially towards the longitudinal axis X can accommodate the ears 32 and retain them axially. One ear then engages in the groove, ensuring its axial retention, and the other ear 32 then engages in the snap-in means.
[0107] As a variant, the axial retention system may employ magnetic components, thus retaining the compartment flange 18 and the container flange 26 by magnetization.
[0108] Preferably, in case of a vertical compartment wall, the snap-on axial retaining means are located in the lower region of the compartment flange and the base provided with the groove is located in the upper region of the compartment flange.
[0109] As a variant, a system with more than two snap-on retaining devices can be considered.
[0110] Particularly advantageously, one or more snap-in devices cooperate with the connecting ring 100 .
[0111] like Figure 1 and Figure 3 As shown, the snap-fit device is located downstream of two radially opposite snap-fit openings of the connecting ring 100 , along the direction in which the ear portion 32 is inserted into the connecting ring 100 .
[0112] Thus, after the ears 32 are introduced into the bayonet 102 , they mesh with the actuating link 38 , which causes the locking link to tilt, thereby retaining the ears axially.
[0113] Without the container flange, when the container is not mounted, the end 40.2 of the locking link 40 is located in the upper region of the first portion 102.1 of the window 102 and engages in a recess 102.3 formed by the first portion 102. The locking link 40 thus also ensures the rotation of the locking connection ring 100 without a container. Any manipulation of the connection ring 100 without a container is thus avoided.
[0114] In this particularly advantageous embodiment, the container flange 26 is axially retained by one or more snap-fit devices 34 , and the compartment flange 18 and the container flange 26 are then connected by a connecting ring 100 .
[0115] The snap-on retaining device is very advantageous, in particular when the compartment wall is in a vertical or inclined plane, so that the operator can easily actuate the first part A when the container is retained by the part 34 .
[0116] The sealing connection device also includes a second component B, which is used to connect the container lid 28 and the compartment door 22 and unlock the lid.
[0117] The connection device further comprises a third component C for disengaging the compartment door from the compartment flange, and a fourth component D for communicating a passage between the interior of the container and the interior of the compartment.
[0118] The sealed connection advantageously has a common actuation system for the second and third components.
[0119] The common actuation system is formed by a control ring 48, which is mounted rotatably in the axial direction on the compartment flange 18 and, in the example shown, is placed outside the compartment. In the example shown, the control ring 48 is a toothed ring, the teeth of which are radially oriented toward the outside of the control ring 48. The common actuation system comprises an actuation device, which acts to rotate the control ring 48 around the longitudinal axis X. Very advantageously, the actuation device is constituted by an actuation device 108 of a connecting ring 100, which simplifies the structure and reduces its cost. As a modification, a separate actuation device can be provided.
[0120] exist Figure 2 In the figure, a toothed ring 48 can be seen. It is installed upstream of the connecting ring 100 according to the installation direction of the container, and the inner diameter is greater than the outer diameter of the connecting ring 100 so that the container flange 26 is embedded in the connecting ring 100.
[0121] exist Fig. 6A In FIG. 1 , the connecting ring 100 can be seen, the toothing 112 of which meshes with the pinion 114 , and the toothed ring 48 meshes with the coaxial pinion 52 of the pinion 114 .
[0122] The control ring 48 comprises a drive tooth 48.1 meshing with the pinion 52, which ensures its rotation and the toothed portion for actuating the various components of the connection device. In the example shown, the toothed portion 48.1 extends only over a portion of the periphery of the control ring 48, and the angle of extension of the drive portion is determined to be able to actuate the various components B, C, D. As a modification, the drive portion can cover the entire periphery of the control ring 100.
[0123] The control ring 48 is advantageously held axially and radially by rollers 54 which enable the toothed ring 48 to be rotated about an axial direction while limiting friction.
[0124] The second B, third C and fourth D components are arranged on the periphery of the toothed ring 48 and are actuated successively by rotation of the ring.
[0125] The second component B for connecting the compartment door 22 and the container cover 28 comprises a door-to-door connecting plate, which is designated as 80 .
[0126] The door-to-door connecting plate 80 is rotatably mounted on the compartment door 22. The locking of the compartment door 22 and the container lid 28 is achieved by a bayonet connection. In the example shown, the connecting plate 80 includes four ears 82 protruding radially outward, and the lid 28 includes a bayonet with four radially outer recesses for accommodating the ears of the connecting plate 80 and a peripheral groove connecting the recesses. The relative rotation of the connecting plate 80 and the lid 28 ensures that the ears of the connecting plate 80 are at least partially covered to form an axial stop for the ears 82 and axially connect the connecting plate and the lid 28.
[0127] The connecting plate 80 is rotated under the actuation of the control ring 48. In the example shown, the second component B, more specifically Fig.13A As can be seen in the drawing, it comprises a pinion 62 with spur teeth meshing with the first toothed actuating portion 48.2 of the control ring 48, and a bevel gear 64 rotatably connected to the pinion 62. In the example shown, they are located at both ends of the same shaft. The bevel gear 64 meshes with a bevel gear 65 forming the input end of the gear train, the gears being referenced 66, 68, 70, 72, 74, 76, 77. The pinion 77 meshes with a toothed portion or rack 78 rotatably connected to the connecting plate 80 between the doors, as shown in FIG. Fig.10 shown.
[0128] The assembly formed by the pinions 62, 64 and the gear train can reduce the rotation torque of the handle and facilitate the operation of the operator.
[0129] exist Fig.13A and Fig. 13B In the figure, the hinges that enable the connecting plate 80 to rotate can be seen. The gear train is accommodated in Fig. 6A , Figure 6B , Fig. 7A , Fig. 8A , Fig.10 In the shield 81 also visible in the figure, a sealed penetration between the outside and the inside of the compartment is ensured. In the example shown, the shield comprises three parts 81.1, 81.2, 81.3 which are sealed and hinged to each other by gaskets 69.
[0130] The parts 81.1 and 81.3 representing the blocks are identical. The part 81.2 arranged between the parts 81.1 and 81.3 is called the "arm".
[0131] The hinge between the two blocks 81.1, 81.3 and the arm 81.2 allows the compartment door 22 to be opened. The rotation is achieved by rolling bearings. As a modification, a sliding bearing can be adopted.
[0132] The block 81.1 accommodates a part of the gear train for controlling the inter-door connecting plate 80. The block 81.3 accommodates the opening part D.
[0133] In the example shown, the block 81 . 1 comprises a sleeve 81 . 11 surrounding the axis connecting the pinions 62 and 64 .
[0134] The block 81.3 also includes a sleeve 81.31 ( Fig. 13B ).
[0135] The arm 81.2 surrounds the shaft connecting the pinions 76 and 77. The sleeves 81.11 and 81.21 respectively penetrate the compartment flange and the door 22 in a sealed manner, and static gaskets are provided between the sleeves 81.11, 81.31 and the compartment flange 18 and between the sleeve 81.21 and the compartment door 22.
[0136] As a modification, specifically in the case of a small diameter device with a smaller force, it can be considered that the shield includes only a block and an arm body, wherein the opening part D is combined with the connecting part B. In this case, it can be proposed to make the block and the flange into an integral component, so that there is no need to rely on a gasket to achieve sealing between the block and the flange.
[0137] The gear train comprises two relatively large shafts 67, 73 respectively between the gears 65 and 66 and between the gears 72 and 74. As a modification, these gear shafts can be replaced by sprockets or pulleys with a belt or chain system.
[0138] The first rotation stage of the door connecting plate 80 ensures the axial locking of the door 22 and the lid 28 , and the second rotation stage of the connecting plate 80 drives the lid 28 to rotate relative to the container flange 26 and ensures that the lid 28 is unlocked relative to the container flange 26 .
[0139] Particularly advantageously, the mechanism comprises a locking member 118 which prevents separation of the compartment door 22 and the lid 28 when the passage between the container interior and the compartment interior is open, ie when the door and lid assembly is in a position where the compartment and container flanges are separated.
[0140] These components 118 are Fig. 6A Visible in and Figure 7C , Figure 8C , Fig. 9C The middle is a cross-sectional view. Figure 7C , Figure 8C , Fig. 9C A longitudinal section through the components 118 is shown, which are carried by the connecting plate 80 and rotated about an axis relative to the container door 28 and the compartment door 22 during the connection and disconnection phases. Figure 7C , Figure 8C , Fig. 9C Rotational views of the container and compartment doors are shown at different stages.
[0141] The locking member 118 is disposed between the upstream face of the compartment door and the downstream face of the connecting plate 80 .
[0142] The locking member 118 comprises a finger 120 which radially projects from the connecting plate 80 in the region between the two ears of the connecting plate 80. The finger 120 can be axially retracted inside the connecting plate 80. An elastic member 122, such as a helical spring in the example shown, pushes the finger 120 toward the outside of the connecting plate 80 in the upstream direction. Figure 2 Visible in.
[0143] The locking member 118 also comprises a roller support 124 arranged between the door 22 and the connecting plate 80 and carrying the finger 120 , and a roller 126 capable of rolling about an axis X perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.
[0144] The locking member 118 also comprises a frame 128 fixed to the connecting plate 80 and carrying an axle 130 parallel to the longitudinal axis X on which the roller support 124 is mounted slidably. The spring 122 is mounted in compression between the roller support 124 and the frame 128 around the axle 130 .
[0145] The locking component 118 further comprises a cam 132 formed by an inclined surface, the inclined surface being fixed to the compartment door, and the cam 132 is in the shape of an arc with the longitudinal axis X as the center.
[0146] The locking member 118 operates as follows. In the unlocked state, i.e. without the container door, the finger 120 protrudes radially from the connecting plate ( Figure 7C ). The roller 126 is in a position compressed by the spring 122. Figure 7C Not visible in.
[0147] When the container flange 26 is placed in the connecting ring 100, the ears of the container cover 28 are placed between the ears 82 of the connecting plate 80, one of which contacts the finger 120 and the finger 120 embedded in the connecting plate 80 is acted upon by the restoring force of the spring 122 due to the axial displacement of the container. The roller 126 disengages the cam 132 ( Figure 8C ).
[0148] The toothed ring 48 rotates again to cause the connecting plate to rotate, and the roller 126 is also driven to rotate and rolls on the cam 132 until the roller 126 is located at the lower part of the cam 132 ( Figure 6B ).
[0149] The finger 120 is thus fully rotated so that it no longer faces the ear of the container cover 28. However, due to the restoring force of the spring 122, the finger is pushed to the outside of the connecting plate 80 and forms a rotation stop for the ear, so that the ear is blocked by the finger 120 ( Fig. 9C ).
[0150] The device also comprises fixing means 134 for fixing the connecting member B in a first position when there is no container door, and in a second position when there is a container door 28 locked by the finger 120 .
[0151] The fixing means 134 are carried by the connection plate 80 and the compartment door 22. In the example shown and advantageously, the fixing means 134 are partially situated on a face of the connection plate 80 that faces the face opposite to the container door 28. They are thus protected.
[0152] In the example shown, the fixed member 134 includes a cam 136 carried by the door 22 and a cam follower 138 carried by the connecting plate 80 .
[0153] exist Figure 7B , Figure 8B , Fig. 9C as well as Fig.15 and Fig.16 In the figure, the cam 136 and the cam follower 138 can be seen.
[0154] The cam 136 is in the shape of an arc and extends angularly between a first angular end defining a first fixed position Pos1 at which the connecting plate 80 is held when there is no container door 28 and a second angular position Pos5 at which the connecting plate 80 is held when there is a container door 28 and ensures that the connection between the two doors 22, 28 is maintained. The cam path CH extends between the two angular positions Pos1 and Pos5.
[0155] The cam follower 138 extends radially and comprises a roller 140 which is held against the cam path CH by a resilient member 142 such as a coil spring in the example shown.
[0156] exist Fig.16 In FIG. 1 , a cross-sectional view of the cam follower in a plane orthogonal to the axis X can be seen.
[0157] The cam follower includes a support member 144 fixed to the connecting plate 80, a bottom plate 146 carrying a roller 140, and the roller can rotate around an axis parallel to the X axis. A spring 142 is installed between the support member 144 and the bottom plate 146 to be resilient. The bottom plate 146 and the roller 140 can move in the radial direction so that the roller 140 follows the path of the cam path CH.
[0158] In the example shown, two shafts 150 are mounted in two parallel channels through the support 144 and their free ends are assembled in the bottom plate 146. The two shafts can slide in the support 144 and form a sliding path for the bottom plate 146.
[0159] Advantageously, a bushing 154 , for example made of stainless steel, is mounted in the channel 152 to facilitate sliding of the shaft 150 .
[0160] In the example shown and also advantageously, the support 144 also comprises a cavity 156 intended to house one end of the spring 142. Advantageously, the cavity 156 is constituted by a through passage 158 closed by a screw 160, which facilitates the mounting of the spring 142.
[0161] As a modification, the bottom of the cavity 156 can be integrally formed with the support member 144 , and the spring 142 is installed facing the bottom plate 146 through the open end of the cavity 156 .
[0162] Advantageously, the other end of the spring 142 is received in the cavity 162 of the bottom plate 146 .
[0163] It should be appreciated that other embodiments of the cam follower may cause the roller to follow the cam path without departing from the scope of the present invention.
[0164] exist Fig.15 In the example shown, the cam path CH comprises several sections between positions Pos1 and Pos5. In the example shown, the cam path CH comprises a first and a second housing 164, 166 at each end of the path, which serves to house the roller 140 of the cam follower (shown in dotted lines) and to secure the connecting plate 80 at its two end positions. In the example shown, the housings 164 and 166 have different shapes, which can advantageously withstand the mechanical movement of the container rotation. As a modification, the housings 164 and 166 are identical.
[0165] The cam path CH includes a track 170 having a constant radius, a first slope R1 connecting the track 170 and the first housing 164 , and a second slope R2 connecting the track 170 and the second housing 166 .
[0166] The slopes of the ramps R1 and R2 at least partially adjust the force required to bring the roller 140 out of the housing 164, 166. Thus, by selecting the value of the slope, the assist provided to the operator can be varied. In addition, the ramp can provide assist when the roller approaches one or the other of the positions Pos1 and Pos5. The value of the slope can adjust the assist.
[0167] It will be appreciated that the ramp path may have a very different profile. It may not be symmetrical, for example the slopes of ramps R1 and R2 may be different. One or more ramps may include one or more continuous slopes to provide continuous assist. As a further modification, it is contemplated that the cam path does not include a constant radius track but only includes ramps.
[0168] Now combine 7A to 9C as well as Fig.15To describe the operation of the fixing member 164
[0169] Without the container, the connection device is in 7A to 7C The cam follower 138 is in the state shown. Fig.15 At the position marked as Pos1, the roller 140 is accommodated in the housing 164 and the connecting plate 80 is fixed at an angle.
[0170] The container door 28 then rests against the compartment door 22. The finger 120 is pushed back ( Figure 8C ).
[0171] The connecting plate 80 rotates, which causes the roller 126 on the inclined surface 132 and the roller 140 of the cam follower 138 on the cam 136 to rotate simultaneously, and they leave the housing 164 and move on the inclined surface R1 (position Pos2) and then on the track (Pos3 and Pos4) ( Fig. 8A , Figure 8B , Figure 8C ).
[0172] When the container door 28 is connected to the compartment door 22 and unlocked, the roller 140 has passed the inclined plane R2 and is accommodated in the housing 166 (Pos5) ( Fig.9A , 9B , 9C). The connecting plate 80 is thus fixed.
[0173] The angle between the positions Pos1 and Pos2 depends on the configuration of the connecting plate, in particular the angular extension of the cam 136 .
[0174] In the example shown, the cam follower 138 and the roller 126 are diametrically opposed. As a variant, the cam follower 138 and the roller 126, and more generally the connecting part 134 and the locking part 118, are arranged at an angle of less than 180° to each other.
[0175] As a variant, the cam 136 is carried by the connecting plate 80 and the cam follower 138 is carried by the compartment door 22 .
[0176] The third member C for holding the compartment door closed against the compartment flange 18 is for example Figure 6B As shown, in the open position Fig.10 shown.
[0177] The door 22 is locked in the closed position on the compartment flange 18 by a locking cam 84 and a locking roller 86 fixed on the inner surface of the compartment door 22. The locking roller 86 is rotatably mounted on the compartment flange 18 about an axis parallel to the axial direction X between a locked position and an unlocked position, in which the locking roller 86 contacts the locking cam 84 and locks the door in the closed position against the compartment flange 18, and in which the locking roller 86 is separated from the locking cam and allows the compartment door 22 to be disengaged from the compartment flange 18.
[0178] The locking roller 86 is carried by a roller carrier, the axial end of which includes an actuating roller 88, which cooperates with the radial cam surface 48.3 of the gear 48 ( Fig. 6A ).
[0179] As a modification, it can be provided that the locking roller carrier comprises a pinion which meshes with the toothing of the gearwheel.
[0180] Advantageously, in the locked position, the locking cam 84 cooperates with a safety component mounted on the inner surface of the door, so as to detect the locked position of the cam 84. The fourth component D for opening the door 22 and the lid 28 and thus enabling a sealed transfer between the container and the compartment is provided. Fig. 6A and Fig.11 Visible in.
[0181] The opening part D allows the compartment door 22 and the lid 28 connected to each other by the connecting plate 80 to rotate around the hinge 30. In the example shown, the part D includes a spur pinion 90 meshing with the second toothed portion (not shown) of the toothed ring 48, and a bevel gear 92 connected to the pinion 90 in rotation. In the example shown, they are located at both ends of the same shaft. The bevel gear 92 meshes with a bevel gear 94, which is coaxial with the axis of the hinge 30 and connected to it in rotation. Therefore, the toothed ring 48 causes the bevel gear 94 to rotate by meshing with the pinion 90, which drives the compartment door 22 to rotate around its hinge 30 and can be transferred between the interior of the container and the interior of the compartment.
[0182] Gaskets are provided between the lid and the container flange, between the compartment door and the compartment flange, and between the compartment door outer surface and the lid to ensure sealing contact between the door 22 and the lid 28 and to ensure that these surfaces in contact with the external environment remain sealed when they are not in contact with each other.
[0183] The toothed ring 48 consists of a plurality of angular actuators, each controlling a different component. Depending on the angle of rotation of the toothed ring, the pinion meshes with the toothed ring driving a given component. These devices are not actuated simultaneously, but are actuated successively in a given direction of rotation in a sequence given by the angular arrangement. In the example shown, the toothed actuators are arranged in different planes perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X, which are different from the plane in which the toothed drive is located.
[0184] The process of connecting the interior space of a container to the interior space of a compartment by means of a connecting device according to the present invention will now be described, wherein a vertical compartment wall is employed.
[0185] The container flange 26 with the lid 28 arranged therein is introduced into the connecting ring 100, and the ears 32 of the container flange 26 are inserted into the bayonet 104. One of the ears is inserted into the finger 120. In addition, two diametrically opposite ears 32 come into contact with the actuating links 38, causing them to rotate clockwise and causing the locking link 40 to rotate. The finger 44 locks the locking link 40 in a certain position. The container flange 26 is then held against the compartment door 14. The operator can release the container.
[0186] The operator then turns the crank 108 clockwise, which causes the connecting ring 100 to turn counterclockwise, and the connecting ring can turn freely, because the locking links 40 have been tilted and their ends 40.2 have been disengaged from the notches 102.3. The connecting ring 100 turns, and the ears 32 are thus held immobile by the bayonet connection due to the presence of the connecting ring 100. The container flange 26 is thus connected to the compartment flange 18.
[0187] Then, the operator turns the crank 108 clockwise again, which causes the toothed ring 48 to rotate counterclockwise, the toothed portion 48.2 meshes with the pinion 62, and thus causes the connecting plate 80 to rotate. The connecting plate 80 then ensures that the isolation door 22 is connected to the container cover 28. At the same time, the roller 126 rolls on the inclined surface 132 to its lower position, and the finger 120 is pushed to the outside of the connecting plate 80 ( Figure 6B ), then one of the ears of the lid 28 is locked against the finger-shaped member 120. At the same time, the roller 140 of the cam follower of the connecting member is received in the second housing 166, so that the connecting plate 80 is fixed. Without operating the connecting plate, the lid 28 cannot be rotated relative to the compartment door 22.
[0188] The operator continues to rotate crank 108 clockwise, toothing 48.2 moves away from pinion 62 and the radial cam path encounters actuating roller 88, which causes the roller carrier to rotate and locking roller 86 to separate from locking cam 84. Door 22 then disengages compartment flange 18.
[0189] The operator continues to rotate crank 108 clockwise, causing the teeth to mesh with pinion 90 , causing door 22 and lid 28 to rotate about hinge 30 .
[0190] Thus a passage between the interior of the compartment and the interior of the container opens, e.g. Fig.11 As shown (cover 28 is not shown).
[0191] In this position, the lid cannot be separated from the door due to the presence of the finger 120. The movement of the ears of the lid 28 is limited by the finger 120 and the stop 135, which is constituted by a pin fixed in the connecting plate 80. In the example shown, four stops 135 are distributed on the connecting plate 80. Therefore, the lid 28 cannot be rotated sufficiently relative to the door 22 to separate them. The finger 120 can only be retracted by a reverse rotation of the connecting plate 80, but this reverse rotation is only possible after the passage between the two spaces is closed. Therefore, when the passage between the compartment and the container is open, the lid and the door are prevented from being separated. Therefore, there is no risk that the interior of one of the spaces will be contaminated by the outer surfaces of the compartment and the container.
[0192] The channel closing and separation of the container from the compartment is carried out in the reverse order of the above steps. To this end, the operator turns the crank 108 counterclockwise, causing:
[0193] - the door 22 and the cover 28 are replaced in their respective flanges 18, 26,
[0194] - The locking roller 86 then returns to the locking cam 84,
[0195] - the connecting plate 80 is rotated clockwise, locking the lid 28 in the container flange 26 and separating the door 22 and the lid 26,
[0196] - At the same time, the finger 120 engages in the connecting plate 80 via the cam 132,
[0197] - The connecting ring 100 is then rotated clockwise to disengage the ear 32 from the container flange 26,
[0198] - Finally, the catch device 34 is deactivated to disengage the locking link 40. The container can then be removed from the fixing ring.
[0199] The connection device allows a safe connection between the container and the compartment while avoiding failures caused by gaskets between the container door and the compartment door.
[0200] In addition, the connecting device can be connected without turning the container, which simplifies the operation for the operator and allows the manipulation of fragile items contained in the container.
[0201] The connection device can provide greater ease of cleaning, because it can contain no components inside the compartment. The entire mechanism is located outside the compartment.
[0202] External controls provide the operator with greater controllability.
[0203] The connection also allows an increase in the closing / opening rate per day, thus increasing productivity, with all transfer steps being performed by operating an external crank or by activating an electric motor.
[0204] In addition, due to its simple structure, it is also easy to maintain and repair, especially when its actuating parts are located outside the compartment. In addition, the external arrangement of the actuating parts allows for a very simple motorization of the device. By arranging the actuating parts outside the compartment, the isolation is no longer in contact with the sterilizing agent, which reduces the risk of damage and malfunction.
[0205] Furthermore, safety is increased since, when actuating from the outside, it is no longer necessary to reach into the compartment via the compartment wall with a sealingly mounted glove to actuate the mechanism and no maintenance is required.
[0206] As a variant, it is conceivable to rotate the connecting ring 100 via the toothed ring 48, which would then be the only control member used in all the steps.
