Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The invention relates to the field of cosmetics, and in particular to a sunscreen composition comprising a water-dispersible sunscreen agent Tinosorb S lite Aqua and application thereof. Background Art
[0002] Sunscreen products can provide a UV protection barrier for skin health. Ultraviolet radiation has many harmful effects on human health. These hazards include short-term hazards and long-term effects. Short-term hazards are mainly manifested as sunburn, suntan, and sunburn; long-term effects are often cumulative, manifested as skin erythema, photoaging, photodermatosis, and even skin cancer.
[0003] Ultraviolet rays are divided into three types according to their wavelengths: UVA, UVB, and UVC. UVC is blocked by the atmosphere and can hardly reach the earth's surface. However, UVA and UVB can partially penetrate the atmosphere and reach the earth's surface, and they can cause direct damage to the skin. With the intensification of environmental pollution, the earth's ozone layer has been damaged, so more and more ultraviolet rays are reaching the earth's surface. Therefore, it is essential to do a good job of sun protection in daily life.
[0004] In order to reduce the damage of ultraviolet radiation to the skin, people should try to avoid exposure to sunlight, especially during the period of time when the sun is strongest at noon. You can also protect yourself by wearing protective clothing. At the same time, you should use sunscreen cosmetics for protection before sun exposure. The use of sunscreen cosmetics is currently the most commonly used ultraviolet protection measure. It can prevent sunlight-induced erythema and sunburn, and prevent or reduce DNA damage. Regular use of sunscreen cosmetics can also inhibit precancerous skin damage and significantly reduce the occurrence of solar tumors.
[0005] Sunscreen is the core of sunscreen products and has a decisive influence on the performance of sunscreen products.
[0006] People are concerned about the safety of sunscreens, first of all, they are worried that the ingredients in sunscreens will cause some irritation to the skin. Indeed, most sunscreens will cause some irritation to the skin.
[0007] In addition, some people are concerned that some organic sunscreens may be absorbed through the skin or have potential interference with the endocrine system, but there is not enough clinical data to confirm these safety concerns. Since the use of sunscreens in the 1970s, there have been no reports of organic sunscreens causing systemic adverse reactions in humans. As for the effects of sunscreens on the endocrine system, the research results are all from in vitro and animal experiments and cannot be directly extended to humans.
[0008] Therefore, the proportion of sunscreen added should be minimized while ensuring its efficacy. At the same time, the components in the formula should be strictly screened to ensure the safety of the overall formula.
[0009] At the same time, the skin feel of sunscreen products is a very important consideration. The necessity of using sunscreen has been recognized by most consumers, and the sales of sunscreen products have been increasing year by year. However, complaints about the skin feel of sunscreen have never stopped. Many consumers complain that sunscreen is shiny, sticky, thick, etc., and it is uncomfortable to use; some people also complain about the trouble, and they have to use makeup remover to wash it off after use, otherwise it will not be washed clean. Therefore, the frequency of use of sunscreen products is far less than that of other skin care products (such as creams and lotions). Therefore, the user experience and feeling of sunscreen products is also one of the important indicators of the product.
[0010] The skin feel problem of sunscreen products is mainly because chemical sunscreens are mostly oils or lipophilic compounds. For liquid oil-based sunscreens, they can be directly added and emulsified during formulation; but for solid sunscreens, other liquid oils need to be used as solvents to dissolve them before adding them to the formula. This type of solid sunscreen has better stability and better safety, but at the same time their solubility in oils is also very low. For example, bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine is a sunscreen that has good stability, high safety, and can protect against UVB and UVA at the same time, but its solubility in oils is very low. This means that when using it, a large amount of polar oil needs to be added to dissolve it first. The result is that the skin feel of the formula is greasy and not refreshing. The sunscreen product used in this application is a water dispersion made of bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine through dispersion and emulsification technology. It can be directly added to the formula to solve the problem of greasy skin feel.
[0011] CN102655850A invented a novel polyglycerol-based UV filter that can improve the solubility of solid sunscreens. Its solubility in bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine only increased from 13% to 18%, and it still required more than 5 times the amount of heavy oil as a solvent, which had limited improvement on the skin feel of the formula.
[0012] CN111050742 prepares a polymer dispersion with an average particle size of less than 1000 nm and applies it to an oil-in-water system. However, the system contains alcohol and is prone to cause irritation.
[0013] CN113576935A uses silica-encapsulated bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine to improve safety. The water-dispersible bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine described in the patent can not only improve safety, but also provide water resistance and play a sunscreen synergistic role.
[0014] However, the present invention innovatively applies Tinosorb S lite Aqua, a new type of water-dispersible sunscreen, to different types of sunscreen products. For example, Tinosorb S lite Aqua can be applied to water-in-oil emulsion systems to achieve ideal skin feel. Alternatively, Tinosorb S lite Aqua can even be applied to pure oil formulations, which adjusts the skin feel of pure oil system formulations and increases sunscreen efficacy. [0146] 1. Weigh the water phase raw materials: 64.9 parts by mass of deionized water and 0.2 parts by mass of thickener acrylic acid (ester) / vinyl isodecanoate cross-linked polymer.
[0147] 2. Weigh the oil phase raw materials: 2.5 parts by mass of emulsifier steareth-21, 3.5 parts by mass of dicaprylyl carbonate, 15 parts by mass of dibutyl adipate, 2 parts by mass of emulsifier C14-22 alcohol / C12-20 alkyl glucoside, 1 part by mass of isononyl isononanoate, 2 parts by mass of sunscreen bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine, and 3 parts by mass of ethylhexyl triazone.
[0148] 3. The water phase and oil phase are dissolved and dispersed in a water bath at 80-85°C.
[0149] 4. Under homogenization at 80-85℃, slowly add the oil phase into the water phase and homogenize for 5 minutes after all the addition is completed.
[0150] 5. Cool down to 60°C, add 0.3 parts by weight of tromethamine, and homogenize for 5 minutes after all the addition is complete.
[0151] 6. Cool down to 45-50°C, add 1.6 parts by weight of sunscreen phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid, homogenize for 3 minutes after addition, stir and cool to room temperature, then add 9 parts by weight of Tinosorb M, stir evenly and set aside.
[0152] Table 9
[0153]
[0154] Note: The content of sunscreen agent bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine in Tinosorb S Lite Aqua raw material is 20%, and phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid is 100% pure substance.
[0155] Test Example 3: Thermal Shake Test Stability
[0156] Example 5 and Example 6 were subjected to a thermal shaking test (constant temperature shaker THZ-D) at 38° C., 200 rpm, for 24 hours.
[0157] Results: Example 6 separated and released oil under hot shaking, while Example 5 remained stable, indicating that Tinosorb S LiteAqua was more stable than phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid when used in the formulation.
[0158] Test Example 4: SPF value
[0159] Table 10
[0160] Example 5 Example 6 SPF (theoretical calculation value) 34.5 36.3 SPF (machine test) 62.3 45.9
[0161] SPF machine testing equipment: SPF290S analysis system (Optomet-rics, USA)
[0162] The SPF values of the two formulas were measured by SPF290S. It was found that when the amount of sunscreen added was the same, the sun protection index of Example 5 was significantly higher than that of Example 6. According to the calculated SPF values (DSM online calculator), the calculated values of Example 5 and Example 6 were 34.5 and 36.3, respectively, which were very close. This shows that Tinosorb S Lite Aqua has a higher sun protection efficiency in this formula, and has a synergistic effect with other sunscreen ingredients in the formula, and its effect is higher than that of the comparative example phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid.
[0163] Therefore, it is found from the above Test Examples 3 and 4 that when Tinosorb S Lite Aqua is used in this formula, it not only has good stability but also has high sun protection efficiency.
[0164] The following experiment compared the sunscreen Tinosorb S Lite Aqua different dosage:
